Well made does a good job on smooth tiles, dimpled tiles are more of a pain when dirt get trodden in but still a good tool to have around

I was sceptical whether the machine would clean my very muddy dining room floor from my dogs coming in and out but it was fantastic. Saves a great deal of time scrubbing the floor and looks fantastic once finished. It’s a little on the heavy side but well worth it even so!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAnyone with tiled floors would appreciate how much effort they need to clean. We have 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and the lounge and this machine makes the job effortless. The rollers remove all hard dirt and stains. The only reason I have removed 1 star is because it leaves streaks of water so if you have gloss tiles like ours you have to dry manually after cleaning to maintain its shine . But make no mistake, this is one of the best tile floors cleaners on the market.

    I’ve had mine for years.

Cleans floors brilliantly & no more smelly, dirty mop hanging around.

I would not be without it.

I bought this one for my daughter when she moved into her house.

This machine cleaned our outdoor large porcelain tiled floor using the stone rollers with ease. The floor is a covered area and had a dust grime build up over several months even though we swept and vacuumed it. It replaced the hard work of a hand held sponge mop with ease…this electrical mop machine a godsend to cleaning. I think the electric corded model gives more cleaning power. The machine is heavier than the cordless and this bears weight to the floor…giving a good clean. Easy to assemble…and great to use. It comes with hard floor (yellow) rollers. So we had to buy the stone/porcelain tile floor rollers separately. The great thing is you can use your own brand of cleaning liquid or just water.

We have a lot of laminated floors that are water resistant so this cleaner is good. I replaced using a ecloth mop, which was good and cleaned very well but this Karcher unit is much quicker. They are not cheap but as it was on offer the value was better.

Great machine that washes and sucks up the dirty water meaning the floor dries within minutes. It will also suck up small amounts of dirt reducing the amount of vacuuming beforehand. But, make no mistake for larger debris you must vacuum

It didn’t initially like my worn floor. I thought it was faulty, as it kept stalling. But on the second time around it was fantastic. It turns out my floor was more dirty than I thought.
On my less worn floor it worked first time.
This product is fantastic, I’m glad I bought it..

Bought this with the stone rollers. Absolutely brilliant. Much easier than bucket and mop on laminate flooring with the standard rollers. The floor dried very quickly. We have rough stone tiles in the kitchen which is difficult with a sponge mop as it broke up easily. With the stone rollers the floor came up clean (and no little bits of sponge left on the floor).
Small criticism is that the waste tank does not hold much and so needs emptying more often than filling. The machine is well built and solid. It may be a bit heavy to use if you are frail especially with the stone rollers that gripped the floor more.
The cleaning process is quick if just rinsing the rollers on the machine although I found 3 rinses needed before the waste water was clean. I take the rollers off and clean under the tap as it is quicker.
That said, its performance far out ways any negative points.

This is a well built machine which does a very satisfactory job on all of our laminate floors with much less water than we used to use, so the floors also dry much faster. I thoroughly recommend you spend some time carefully reading the assembly and usage directions and fully understand them before rushing to get started. I did, and got excellent results, but I have read reviews from other users who clearly did not do this!

    What a fantastic floor cleaner.

We have slate floors throughout the ground floor in our property, that for years have been mopped regularly and 4 or 5 times a year scrubbed and mopped.

After using the Karcher it was frightening how much grease and grime especially in the kitchen area we must have been just pushing around, it’s like we’ve had a new floor laid.

Simple to use and easy to clean.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInteresting concept – cleans well. Unlike mop and bucket does not leave trace of dirty water. Contrary to other people’s view clean and dirty water tank might appear small but actually bog enough for a medium size house. The real issue is maintenance – after floors have been cleaned -1. Detach dirty water tank throw out dirty water in drain AND reattach the pullava 2. Take out roller pads clean them if very dirty 3. Clean debris from inside of suction blades 4. Fill up clean water tank but again only by detaching filling up and reattaching . This sort of kill the joy. To earn 5 star it Must be self cleaning and self loading of clean water and discharging dirty water on base station : then only it will be real fun. Good product nevertheless must buy

Easy and faster to clean if you got a lot of floor. I have amtico and it works well. Only negative is that it drops water constantly from the clean water tank and can spit water on floor. Not sure If that’s a fault or normal ?

Had this a few days now, so far works great and our wood floors feel so clean under a bare foot… Easy to use and the rollers reach right up to the edges of the rooms.

Just make sure when you open the box and remove the fresh water tank that the rubber stopper has not come off and stuck to the actual unit inside. If it has its no bother as it just pulls off and then plug it back to the water tank (handy tip)

Very nice piece of kit and easy to use and maintain etc

This gets up to the edges and works well as a cleaning mop, as long as the floor has been thoroughly swept or vacuumed. But it will not get into grouting and it also “trips” on the edge of ceramic tiles if you use it at certain angles. It would really benefit from having alternative rollers with brushes. It is also a pity that it only works as a mop, only getting up fine dust/grit. I also have a Bissell which is more versatile, in that it has interchangeable rollers including a brush for carpets and a roller which is half and half, which works well on tiles and grout, but unfortunately doesn’t reach the edges and sometimes causes streaks. The Kaercher does do the edges, which is great. However, I do find I have to keep stopping to push the rollers back on.

It doesn’t take long before the suction head may fail to click into place and then it is useless. As others write, you get a screeching noise, the rollers don’t turn, and suction fails so you get a water “leak”. The most likely cause is the suction head lid has not clicked back into place and the grey “button” has not popped up. No matter how hard you try. There is a quick fix if you’re a bit of a handyperson. This is worth a try if you have some mechanical aptitude and of course it is unplugged you would otherwise just abandon using it.
Just under the nozzle is a slot where the small grey “finger” on the lid goes, but not far enough to trigger the latch. You might do this if you are careful with a suitable implement – like a small Allen key or thin screwdriver. It takes a moderately hard press in the right place, you get a “click,” and the grey button pops up a bit. Now you can replace the lid and it will lock into place. As someone else wrote – seems like a design flaw.

Works well but may need this quick-fix

Love this hard floor cleaner. Large dirty water container allowing me to clean the floor with only needing to empty it once. Cleans right to the skirting boards. No need to clean the edges separately after using it, as with some others. Leaves floor lovely and clean and smelling fresh, despite two large dogs leaving muddy feet marks. My only tiny criticism is the very tiny bottle of cleaning fluid that comes with it.

I’m keeping this review brief, just to highlight the key features for me.

Price – bought it from the Karcher outlet on a well-known auction site, arrived quickly but without any detergent.

Instructions – the included diagram (Ikea style) was blurry and hopeless. I downloaded the full user guide from the Karcher website which is wordy but easy to follow.

Setting up – Quick & easy.

    Use – very easy indeed.

Cleaning after use – a bit of a faff and can make a mess if you’re not careful.

Cost of detergent – I have both types. They are not cheap but are highly concentrated (1 teaspoon per tank of clean water) so should last for ages.

    Results – fabulous.

Storage – a bit bulky, somewhat bigger than an upright vacuum cleaner.

Overall, it’s a good product and Im glad I bought it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis machine actually has me looking forward to cleaning the kitchen floor. I used to have to empty everything floor-standing out of the room, vacuum first, mop the floor, go and have a rest, wait hours and then put everthing back. Now I can move things to one side, use the Karcher, wait a few minutes then move stuff back and do the other half of the room. It means I clean the floor much more often, as it only takes a fraction of the time and it keeps me on top of things. It didn’t suck up a stray piece of onion skin, but it picked up all the pet hair (we have a collie) and some lentils that had been spilt – except where there were deep cracks between our Edwardian terracotta floor tiles. Wondering about getting the rollers with bristles that Karcher list on their website, for getting down into the cracks for a deeper clean (until we get round to regrouting them…).

Some people have commented that it’s a problem that it doesn’t stand up on its own, like the Bissel one does. I haven’t found this an issue – you clean a big area of floor, and then put it in the stand. And when it’s on the stand properly (which there’s a bit of a knack to) then when you move the cleaner the stand stays on until you put your foot on it and take the cleaner out. Also, the gap between the rollers is not a problem because surely you go over the floor more than once? Both these are the design results of having a cleaner that CLEANS TO THE EDGES, which this does, and which is more important to me than having a cleaner that stands up on its own.

I got the corded version, at it was a lot cheaper than the battery-operated one and I didn’t see any disadvantage to it being corded (and you don’t have to worry about running out of charge). It’s not as if I’m going to fetch it out for a 30-second job, as you need to moisten the rollers first and clean them afterwards – which is not big deal, and the roller cleaning cycle in the stand is easy and effective, but if you’re doing that you might as well clean the whole floor.

I do think Karcher should have included a plastic measuring jug for the 50/200ml for moistening and roller cleaning – they’re not exactly expensive and it would save the customers having to go out and buy one. Also, the user instructions could have been better – summary guide differs slightly from the main manual, and there’s no mention in either about attaching the separate roller cover before putting the rollers in when you first assemble it.

Overall, I put this in the same class as the Karcher window vac, for making cleaning fun enough that I actually look for more things to clean with it. (I’m not exactly the most domesticated person in the world, so this is a big deal.)

So now it’s just a question of waiting to see whether it’s still working in 6 months’ time…

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI have used this floor cleaner on two floors – one laminate and the other tiled(a very large area over two floors). The laminate cleaned very well and dried quickly – not leaving marks. The tiled floor – which was very dusty (newly laid) – after two cleans the machine was still leaving streaks. This could still be the fact there is still a lot of dust in the house and it will get better each time.
The cord is rather short for a large area but I managed.
The rollers did come off on a couple of occasions but I feel it was the angle I was using it, as if I tilted the machine upwards and not like a vacuum this problem didn’t happen.
I did find it rather noisy and I wouldn’t say it’s light so that’s something to be aware of.
Overall I’m (so far) relatively happy with the product but time will tell.
