Just been away with the hubby and used the monocular on a walk. Hubby used it to spot birds, and it exceeded expectations. I was amazed at the distance we could see things, I thought I’d test it big time by spotting a pylon tower about 5 miles away, when I looked through it I spotted a windmill beside the pylon tower that was not visible with the naked eye. We were well impressed. It’s lightweight and easy to use and the hubby wears glasses, I don’t so the way you can adjust the eye lens to suit your own vision is easy to do in seconds, it does what it says on the box, and fits in your hand really well making it easier to keep it steady, the strap is spot on in helping with steadiness. Yeah, we’d recommend this monocular for sure, good buy.

As I have eyes that work separately they are just right for me. Well made and a little heavy but a stand comes with them.

Bought for granddaughter and likes to look at wildlife and now the sky at night
Well made easy to use. Only fault the centre of gravity on the unit needs to be more consiste

It is a 4 star product, but regrettably I had to return it. The monocular was extremely well made, and I am speaking for someone who had used Pentax, Nikon, Zeiss, and Leica binoculars. I developed a problem with one eye at old age, and binoculars are wasted on me, so I was shopping for a high-quality monocular. While the construction of Gosky was on par with highend binoculars, the optics were obviously not as crispy as a Leica, but it will be unreasonable to expect so at this price.

The reason for my return was I could not hold it steady one handed at 12x magnification. It improved a lot if I mounted it on a small tripot and held the tripot with one hand, and steady the monocular with the other hand, but that didn’t help with the bulk and weight, and became clumsy to carry around. The monocular was also too bulky for theatre use. I did not test the phone mount attachment, it seemed solidly made. But could be fiddly if you were to use it with large and heavy phones.

    Rather bulky

I decided to try this scope as my introduction to Digiscoping and it proved its worth having gained many good views and piccies using my phone. It is very robust and easy to use.

It does have some downsides though. The tripod supplied with it is very small and of no use to me so has had to be replaced with a better one to provide stability that is required.

The other problem I have faced is that of the magnification. It is simply too much. 20x doesn’t sound a lot but when you are at the top of a mountain trying to take a picture of the liner you are cruising in at the bottom and you can only get less than half of the ship into view you will get an idea of the problem.

It is amazing at distance with great clarity and sharpness. At mid range, like most scopes, its hard to centre on the objective before it has flown away or moved. At close ranges its almost impossible which I believe is common with scopes in general.

Customer service from GoSky hasn’t been the best due to issues with registering the warranty and a failure to repond to another issue.

Overall its a good quality product with a low pricetag.

To be used when out walking and on a sailing holiday. It is very important that proper instructions should be supplied with this device. There were none at all which led to a very difficult learning curve.

One of my latest purchases and I like it alot. Comes with its own protective case and phone holder. Its size and weight mean it never leaves my rucksack when out and about. A pocket will do when without said rucksack. Easy to use and its only when you start using it you realise what you’ve been missing in terms of what you can’t normally see.

Very sturdy and well packaged product. Seemed to be nicely put together however it did not quite match my expectations. I thought a monocular device might be easier for me rather than the conventional binoculars that I owned, particularly with the phone adapter. In this instance, it did not benefit me and in fact , the phone adapter is equal to my binoculars. Let’s not take this away from the product, if you are certain on what you are looking for, this may be a great product for you!

So much easier than binoculars and you can get some great photos with the attachment that came with it . I wish it had a pouch you could put over you but that is being to fussy. Great product and price

I have bad eyesight, and it’s great for watching the small birds on the feeder. It does need a tripod, though.

This was a gift for my son. I had bought him a cheaper one before which then promptly broke within a day of using it and so decided to spend a bit more and get a better quality one. This one he is chuffed to bits with and is taking to work to see what wildlife is around in his breaks as well as looking at all that appears in the garden.

As per other reviews, this product is good quality and value for money – but isn’t the smallest/lightest option.

Although bought as a gift for a keen plane spotter, I had to have a go and I’ll admit I’m a complete thicko when it comes to things like this lol. However, the quality is fantastic nice and Sharpe the distance you can see is phenomenal! Highly recommended! Now to test this bad boy out at Mach Loop!

Great product. Easy to use / focus with one hand and works really well with my specs. Has an adjustable eyepiece to help spec-wearers. Feels solid and lens caps remain attached / dont get dropped / mislaid. Even the pouch works well – has a belt loop.

I think these are great (at the moment we’ll see in time)they are well made and certainly fit the bill for me. Ideal rather than carrying binoculars and camera I can just carry camera and take this out of my coat pocke

I purchased this product to use when I am out walking in the country or by the sea, it is fairly compact and gives a clear image when focused on a subject. Not as powerful as my binoculars but is less cumbersome and easily fits into rucksack, I have not tried out the phone attachment so cannot say how effective it is

It’s ok at this price point, I would probably go for the 10X50 unless you have a very steady hand or a tripod at extreme range.

Upon receipt I thought that the monocular was on the heavy side but in use it was easily accommodated is not noticeable. I have bought a telescopic monopod for additional stability where required but was delighted to find that it can be held stable with minimal ‘wobble’ which is excellent for a 12 x 55 unit.

I bought this to photograph wildlife with my mobile phone. The performance is really good and I am very happy with it. One thing, if you want to use it for photography, some sort of tri-pod is essential. Top notch bit of kit.

I bought this item based on the number of sales here and the high level of quality reviews. I made a fine choice I can tell you.
I didn’t buy it for bird-watching- well not the feathered variety anyway. I’m more of a curtain-twitcher myself; nosy neighbour, that kind of thing.
Seriously though, I’m shocked at how good this monocular brings things into view. Beyond my expectations.

Good quality product with solid feel to it, particularly the camera holder. Optical quality good. Worthwhile paying the extra for it compared to other monoculars
