Just had a spare battery delivered. It charges quickly and fits the charger and equipment I already had. Thought it was a tad expensive though! What more can be said?
La batteria pienamente efficace. Resta uno strano problema quando, scarica, la metto nel carica batteria. Succede che non la legge. La spia luminosa che segnala la messa in carica….rimane fissa. Nulla di grave. Ma…con un distanziale da ca.1 mm. ( cartone o plastica rigida ) fra le lamelle della batteria, si risolve il problema. Probabile che entrino in gioco gli incastri del tagliaerba e gli incastri del carica batteria. Occorre ingegnarsi. Saluto tutti.
Bought the strimmer, hedge trimmer and 3 batteries for my gardening business last month and am delighted with them all. Got a very good deal on the hedge trimmer and one battery in a flash sale on Amazon Primer Day. The strimmer is quite powerful and cuts down over grown weeds and grass easily. As has been said in other reviews, the 2a batteries last about 20 mins which is good enough if only strimming a garden border. Very light and have had no issues with aching arms, shoulders, fingers or vibration in hands which I had with the petrol strimmer. (I’m 64) The batteries charge in an hour which is just enough time for me to get one charged up at lunch ready for the afternoon jobs. When using, just make sure you only use enough power required to strim the grass and not use full power unless necessary and you’ll get maximum time from it. Hedge trimmer seems no different from my Ryobi 18v trimmer I must admit.

The battery provided with Greenworks lawnmower is poor – lasted only 20 minutes, so needed an extra one. Such a better price on Amazon compared to directly buying from Greenworks & lasts longer than the original.
Good product but costly. Especially combined with charger. Main product cannot work without battery and charger. Package should Be clearly advertised as necessary for trimmer/ chainsaw to work as it is not included.
I use this product to power the Greenworks Garden Cart, which I use for poo picking in my horses field. Great power range on gradients with full load. Not been left without power yet. Been using it for approx 4 weeks.

Although these batteries have a good run time it’s a good policy to have a spare that’s fully charged and ready to go when the battery in use runs down. The battery I replaced was three years old, so presumably that’s there life span.
Best battery for your greenworks tools. I do own five. Some tools do drain the battery faster than others, so a chain saw is best used with a 4ah battery than a 2ah.

Von der Leistung bin ich bis jetzt sehr zufrieden: knapp 400m2 MIT Radantrieb ist fr einen 4Ah-Akku meiner Meinung nach echt in Ordnung, jetzt muss sich die Langzeitqualitt (Ladeverhslten, Leistungsabgabe, Anzahl der Ladezyklen…) zeigen.
Mit dem normalen Duramaxx-Ladegert bentigt der Akku ca. 3-4h, bis er vollstndig wieder aufgeladen ist, dass sollte man bedenken, bevor man grere Rasenflchen am Stck mhen mchte.
Fazit: funktioniert mit dem Duramaxx-Mher ohne Probleme, leistungsmssig ist der Akku klasse. Mit knapp 140 Euro ist das Teil natrlich relativ teuer (wie es Akkus in dieser Leistungsklasse eben sind), Qualitt, Verarbeitung und Leistung berzeugen aber.

Brought has a spare battery for a green works garden blower vacuum. I have several green works products & they all represent good value & design. Battery performance quoted by manufacturer is in line with real use & exceeded.

Nach Umzug und jetzt grerem Garten, war der Akku zu klein und ich musste nachladen.
Habe mir jetzt nach Prfung diesen Akku bestellt und funktioniert einwandfrei mit Rasenmer und Ladegert.
Model-Nummer des Akkus war ausschlaggebend. Mein Ladegert hat die Nummer 29417 und mein Akku die Nummer 29717. Da dieser Akku die 29727 hat war ich zuversichtlich, dass das passen wrde und funktioniert wie gesagt einwandfrei.
Eine Ladung hlt wirklich lang – genaue Zeit bisher nicht geteste

Ok, but bought the bigger battery which last twice as long.
Package arrived in good condition and battery does not take long to charge
Very long lasting charge! As you’d expect. Quite heavy in use but the charge seems to last forever. I finish my hedge cutting long before the battery runs out. There’s usually slightly less than half charge left after cutting my hedges that are 110′ long by 6′ 6″ high and the other 60′ long by 6′ 6″ high. Definitely along laster in use. Also it holds its charge well over several months, seemingly without losing any charge!
I haven’t run the battery anywhere near flat and have only needed to top up the charge which hasn’t been a problem. I think it’s expensive and heavyish in use, hence only 4 stars.
went for the max size 4.0 Ah.. and it can easy handle a 100m2 with one charge about 3 times.. that is with using trimmer as well to even the edges.

Great battery, lasts for ages with the strimmer but goes down quicker with the chainsaw, quite expensive to purchase, but you pay for quality and i think the greenworks products are excellent, could do with the bigger battery but cannot get it delivered to ireland for some reason.

I have had many brands of gardening stuff both petrol and mains elec and battery, I recommend you choose this one.
The battery was brought up to full charge and worked well when placed in the chainsaw.

The battery is both unexciting and fundamental. Available in both 2Amp/H and 4Amp/H (which runs for roughly twice as long on one charge of course) they are expensive at first glance. Particularly when you then need a dedicated charger which is going to add a further 25 or so to the bill. But again, they do work well. They balance the weight of the tools nicely in use. And when I think that I’ll not have to buy petrol and 2 stroke oil for my chainsaw and trimmer in the future, then maybe – just maybe – they’ll eventually save me a large proportion of the initially seemingly high price. A bit easier to justify if you bear that in mind?
Expensive but very effective. Charges very quickly and will hopefully last a long time and will power many different Greenworks tools.

Bought to go with rotovator charges in about 1 hour and lasts about 25 mins without any problem just press the green button on the front of the battery and te lights show th battery charge a good well made product.
This battery still has two units (50% left) of power left after I have finished all the trimming – approx 3 hours.

It’s a brilliant battery. Charges up fast and holds its charge. I’ll always buy li-ion batteries from now on. There’s no comparison. I bought the chainsaw and hedge trimmer and it’s a great combination. Used them lots and delighted with the whole setup.

Very powerful Battery it takes the cheaper tools to a new level
Good strength battery, charges quickly and lightweight as I wanted a chainsaw which was easy to hold and light to handle.
It does what it’s designed to do, it powers the whole 40v GMax range of power tools.
It’s had plenty of use and seems very reliable so far, it keeps running at full power right up until it goes flat (no power fade).
The runtime is approx 60 mins and the charge time is also 60 mins.
This is not the most heavy-duty system, but it works very well and is probably more than good enough for most ordinary users. It is certainly much cheaper than top-level equipment. ‘Buy cheap buy twice’ is very good advice with tools, but with this system I think mid-range is excellent if you treat it with care.

Was sceptical when first bought this system but was highly impressed with the build quality and the performance of the chainsaw system ideal for occasional user in an around garde
I have this in conjunction with the 30cm chainsaw. Very easy to install in both the chainsaw and the recharging unit, and recharge is fast. Battery is a little underpowered to run the chainsaw as I only get about 30-40 logs from a single charge (and these were seasoned softwood, so easy to cut). The 4Ah battery would definitely have been a better buy. That said, a good product thus far.
This battery will also fit other Greenworks tools such as the lawnmower and hedge trimmer.
