This is a really quiet and efficient dehumidifier. It very quickly brings down the levels of humidity in. 6m x 5m room. Very happy with it.

A great product, has definitely made a difference in our house especially with the cold damp weather and clothes being dried indoors.

A little expensive but a smart looking until that does a great job.

    I highly recommend it .

Great value for money, very effective and I really don’t find it noisy at all. Definitely speeds up laundry drying and I noticed that it raised the room temperature by a degree as well.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersBought this on tue, so ive had it for 5 days, i have a real rising damp problem, and while im waiting for it to be sorted out, i thought i would give it a go, all i can say is Wow, its worth every pennie, its about as loud as a fan, and its been an eye opener to see how much water it collects ( about 8-9 litres so far) i would definitely recommend this to, anyone who has the same problem problem, plus it really does help dry clothes faster ( it used to take 2-3days,) but its about 24 hrs now, i wished i had bought this ages ago, what a fantastic buy

    Fantastic, better than expected

Before purchasing this, I had a small dehumidifier that collected the water but didn’t reduce the humidity to the required level in the specific environment I was using it in. This, on the other hand, did the trick perfectly. Just a word of warning. Depending on where you are using it, you may want to check the water tank a couple of times each day because it can fill very quickly. A fantastic dehumidifier for the money.

Noise is basically nonexistent, I have it on in my room at night and the noise is so minimal that I don’t even realise it’s on.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe have had this for three years now. It is very economical to run, very quiet and dries a load of washing overnight. We would definitely buy again if we needed to but three years down the line it’s still as good as it was when we bought it.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersSet it up yesterday morning, early evening I went into the bedroom and it wasnt working, then I realised the water collector must be full. Amazed how much water was collected in 8 hours and the humidity in my bedroom has gone down from 77 to 68 in only 12 hours of usage. Its easy to set up, looks nice, it actually looks like a suitcase! (not used the timer)
A few downsides to this is there is no backlight which makes the screen difficult to see. It is noisy so not good if you are a light sleeper and the digital lights are very bright which would disrupt sleep. I did power the unit off before I went to bed last night but the – – blue light was too intrusive and lit up the bedroom so I switched mine off at the main switch last night. This morning I switched it on, powered it up and found I had to set it up again! Apart from the niggles its an excellent humidifier. Update, in 4 days the humidifier has drawn in 13 ltrs of water, Im emptying it 3 times a day, the humidity is now 51 its set at 40.

Was a little worried about this one, really expensive, (as all Dehumidifiers are) and seemed to be a few negative reviews (as all Dehumidifiers do). Been using this now for around 6 months and it’s fantastic. Very VERY quiet, can monitor the air humidity at a glance and it’s not a big old eyesore like most of them. The tray is a little small but, it has a sensor that switches it off when full if you forget and, it has continuous drainage that I’ve been too lazy to set up. Brilliant bit of kit, well worth the price.

This works very well for us – 3 people living in a small flat and using this to reduce moisture in a windowless bathroom when showering. Positively surprised by how quiet it is, if compared with the previous one we had (can’t remember the brand, but with similar price).
Might not extremely easy to set up the first time but other than that happy with this purchase.

I was on the margin of needing a dehumidifier but took the plunge. I can say it works effectively for my situation and I have noticed the difference. This makes it worth the money.
It is a bit noisy like a fan but is not on all the time and I have placed it between two rooms so not a problem. Capacity has not been an issue thus far and have not needed to empty it.
I my case a good buy but know that these things work with the humidity you have in the house.
If you are not certain if you want to buy get a meter then buy. You can see how effective it is and I do monitor its performance.
    BUY A METER FIRST!

I am so happy we bought this!! We used to have damp running down our walls and windows, as soon as we turned it on no more steamed up windows or damp! Amazing, fully recommend! Plus very economical aswell, the noise level is ok, the benefits outweigh the noise. It’s not mega loud but it’s not something we leave on over night. Just having it on during the day is enough.

Works great. Bit tricky to figure out settings but got there in the end. The drain tank fills fast as its small. I fitted the enclosed external drain tube and solved frequent emptying problems (not human).
For use in a small space it is very good and the quality is excellent converting me from Ebac.

  19. Anonymous says:

Compact design, works well, low noise, timer to switch on or off, and can set humidity level, steady hand required when emptying when full, as the container has a cut out at the front, the water can spill out easy, but very happy with the unit, I took a 3 year warrenty as well, as demumidifiers work long hours, then during summer get no use, so good possibility you could get a failure, and the cover wasn’t expensive, about 15 pounds I think.

Although noisy iv noticed since buying my hall starting to dry out
    Impressed
Love the blue lights to show its on and running
Have on a timer..so programming iv not done

We have severe damp in the hall due to no radiators in it and have tried quite a few high end dehumidifiers that do not cut the mustard but this
It’s expensive but better than having to pay a builder to rectify my damp problem
Came down this morning and usually have to clean the windows but all dry

We have had a number of dehumidifiers that all extract water at different rates and give different levels of noise. The smaller quieter ones simply do not remove enough humidity by themselves. We had a large unit that could extract 12L a day but it was incredibly noisy and power hungry. When looking for a replacement many offer the same 12L a day but most are more expensive than this unit.
I have to say this is excellent value, it uses less power and pulls more water than the older one we had, it’s also a lot quieter. I probably wouldn’t want to be in the room this is turned on in, but having it the next room is no issue. It’s pulls so much water.
The one downside is it has a relatively small storage tank so if it’s going full pelt it needs emptying twice a day – though it does have a hose you could put out a window or into a larger container.
The controls are easy to use and it’s interesting watching the air humidity percentage drop throughout the day.
    I thoroughly recommend this unit.

We bought this as we were getting wet walls on cold days when cooking. This dehumidifier draws so much water from the air that things have really improved.

We have only run it whilst we are at home but can’t believe how much water is in the tank when we empty it. It is very easy to use and set the required humidity level needed.

Easy to use, low on electric and casters help move it around, not sure about the 12litres per day headline. In a 12 hour period it is taking about 1.5litres per day. However its a solid well made product and I am pleased overall with the purchase

Winter kicked in and my 2 bedroom flat was really cold even with the heating up, after looking at several units I went for this due to the litre capacity.

So far it has taken out about 15 litres of water, the flat is 100% different and now warm and dry, no condensation and much more comfortable.

No issues with the magnetic flat as others have mentioned so as long as it keeps working I am very happy!

I’ve wanted and needed a dehumidifier for so long, done loads of research, finally took the plunge and bingo. This does everything. The room its in is about 12’x10′ on a north facing corner of the house. This little gem chugs away merrily and take about 1.5 litres of water away during a 12 hour shift. I turn off overnight as dogs sleep in this room.

This is my new favourite thing. Arrived yesterday. We have a large open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Which is largely North facing. we’ve also had a recently discovered cracked drain. which has now been repaired. Anyway, there’s been a mild musty smell for months, hopefully due to the now repaired drain. I left this dehumidifier on low before I went to bed, when I got up this morning it had turned off, because it was full! 2 pints of water. And I swear the air feels fresher in here. It’s easy to use. Wasn’t sure if the Louver flap should be open. so I watched a video online, it should be open. Wish I’d bought one months ago.

Firstly from what I can gather, who Evers Amazon page this is are false advertising, it claims to be 220W with an ionising function. I and other reviewers have received 170w with no ionising function. If you go on nettas website you can see accurately what you’re buying.
Other than that it’s a canny bit of kit but can’t help but feel annoyed as this IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE SELLING!

Please if people are receiving units with the ionising function let me know, cause I’ve been ripped off, but i suspect the model Amazon advertise has been discontinued?

As usual with all dehumidifiers that I have bought (approx 12!), not just off Amazon, the water container is far too small! They do give a plastic pipe to divert the water to ….? Most rooms I have needed a dehumidifier in do NOT have a convenient drain to use to be able to leave the device working, without having to return within 3 or 4 hours to empty the ridiculously small container. Perhaps someone will make one with a bag (or similar) that will take 10+ litres of water. I currently have to prop the device on a box to drain into a plastic box/bucket – as the drain hole is too low to drop directly into the container!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersLiving in a first floor flat, I’ve always struggled with condensation in the autumn and winter. I just recently noticed mould in my cupboards and wardrobes, as well as all around the windows.

Bought this dehumidifier and it’s worked miracles! As you can see in the photos, my windows used to be top to bottom covered in condensation, therefore causing mould in my room and horrible stuffy air. The photo with the clear windows was taken less than 24 hours after switching on the dehumidifier and it’s worked even better than I imagined!

I don’t leave it on at night as it’s a bit too loud to have in a bedroom, but leaving it on during the day is enough to stop all the mould and condensation from taking over the flat. I leave the bedroom door open and it’s helped the rest of my flat too which is really impressive. Haven’t seen any condensation since 🙂

    Definitely recommend!!!

Got this to replace a more expensive well known brand dehumidifier that broke down after many years. Wasn’t expecting it to be as good as the old one but it is in fact much better. You could pay a lot more for something not as good. Dehumidifies a room pretty quickly.

    Downsides:
The reservoir doesn’t hold a great deal of water so it needs emptying regularly.

The instructions aren’t very good but it’s easy enough to work out how it works.

Love this product, really easy to use. Been having problems with damp but this is excellent could not believe the amount of water it gathers from my house. Obviously makes a motor noise but not horrendously loud and to be honest got use to it now anyway. It cuts off when full which is handy so doesn’t overspill. Definitely recommend and thinking of getting a second to put upstairs.

We had some teething problems setting this up; not the functionality, that was easy, but the draining. Despite connecting the house, it had a tendency to fill the internal container which is very small. I did manage to get it to drain into a bucket but I think it works faster than it says, overfilling a bucket (pictured) in just over 24 hours.

The hose supplied is very short, approx. 1 meter so it’s very difficult to drain to a safe point, as you can see I have used a furniture tree to do this now.

But what this shows is that it’s a powerful and very effective dehumidifier. It’s easy to use, not to big, not heavy and good value.

Very effective, a little difficult to drain.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI had two Ecoairs but they are quite loud so purchased this for our office area. I like the digital controls – they’re easy to use, and it seems to be filling up with water quite quickly which is positive. In particular I like that you can set the humidity levels and it will auto turn on and off, and it does seem to align with a small temperature/humidity gauge we have. It has a story handle and wheels, which makes maneuverability quite easy.

The two downsides for me are:
    (1) The water tray does not have a top/lid so when you slide it out and carry it to the sink/tub you have to be careful. It’s not a major issue, but some other brands have a lid to help minimize accidents so is a consideration.
    (2) Though overall it is quieter than my other dehumidifiers when running, it has loud beeps when you turn on/off or change settings and sounds like a large refrigerator starting up when it auto turns on. (It’s fine once it gets started, but it can have a fairly loud growling/humming sound for a few seconds, at least several times throughout the day.)

Would still recommend this – just two potential downsides to be aware of.

Over 12 months ago I brought this after to replace a different brand that simply stopped working. Within the 2 hours I plugged this in the water tank was acutally full, I was so suprised just how much water was in air that can cause damp. Within 24 hours I could tell how differen the environment was on the landing where I placed Dehumidifier the air felt crisp.

Yes it is nosy there is no escaping that so you couldnt sleep with it on in your bedroom. You would more likely run this while you out at work or up and about in the house.

I couldnt say if its dear to run on electric. Yet after a while running it as long as I have you will notice that there be long periods of it not running cause its taken that much water out the air.

The instructions are not the clearest it looks like its been a poor trasnlate to english but after playing around with the setting you get the idea of how to work it that best suit you.

If you are someone that has issue with damp, I would recommend this. It will take a while to remove it of course but it be worth in long run.

I have lots of damp in my room so in the first few weeks i extracted aout three litres a day from around 10 hours of operation, now its about half of that since the damp is less.
The front panel seems a bit too weak but can’t complain since it’s holding together well and there’s still the one-year warranty so should be fine.
The continuous drainage function is not that useful since you have to elevate the dehumidifier to a chair or table for it to be used.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this Netta machine after our old Ebac one broke after 3 yrs, this machine is actually smaller with a lower wattage but seems to dry the clothes in a small space quicker. We use our hallway to dry clothes in during the day as we have an economy 7 radiator in so it’s quite warm, but because the fan is on the top of the Netta machine it creates a vortex which helps to move the air and the clothes (one wash load)dries in a couple of hours. The heat makes a difference as does the size of the room. Glad we bought this one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA compact quite stylish machine that works very well so far. Not too noisy and not too cumbersome. Can be moved easily. Works well. Easy to move around. My only negative is the water container is small and somewhat tricky to get out and empty without spilling. I was drying out a new build extension and used a 10l paint bucket next to the unit to empty the water in. I also used the drain hose when the walls were really wet and that is great but I had to put the unit on a stand so the water could drain into the waste pipe in the unfinished bathroom. The drain hose is quite stiff and I was warming it to get it to bend and push onto the units outlet.

Have been using for about a month. Surprised at other reviewers worried about noise levels but I found it perfectly acceptable. Solid build quality and looks and feels like it will last forever. Does the job with the water container filling up daily. Only minor gripe is that the piece of plastic tubing provided to use the eternal water spout was a bit stiff and difficult to manipulate into position. Easily resolved by using a small length of hosepipe instead.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersOur 2 bed house is timber framer with a plastic lining and we have a low budget conservatory , as such the humidity if the house was in the 70/80s the conservatory was useless in winter and plagued with damp/condensation even with a 2kw oil filled heater.

I’m not normally one for writing reviews but this dehumidifier has changed our household. Before we had it the heating needed to be at 21 to maintain heat in winter. Now I can set my heating at 19 and the house is actually warmer, even with the door open to the conservatory, the house feels and smells cleaner. No more condensation on windows, no more clothes taking forever when drying inside and getting that fusty smell.

I put this in my kitchen on constant set to 55% and my home is totally different, when the kids want to use the conservatory as a play room I put behind the oil heater and angle the air outlet to spread the heat.

The money it costs to run is overshadowed by the cost of central heating running at 2 degrees higher.

I can’t rate this product enough.

That being said, if you want to heat and dehumidify like I do in my conservatory then go for a dessicant dehumidifier with a built in air heater, I borrowed one from my neighbour and it eliminates the need for a heater, but as I had the heater already it wasn’t a concern.

Suggestions/negatives – The reservoir could do with being bigger and the reservoir full alarm should repeat every so often. If I’m not there to hear that it’s full then it’s easy to think it’s not running due to humidity set point.

If you suffer with humidity this has changed my quality of life.

The noise level is similar to if you had a fan on in the summer which I find I can sleep better with. When moving the dehumidifier about, it is slightly heavy but easy to move about.
There’s a small flap at the top which cold air comes out, other than that when the dehumidifier is on I can feel that the room is less cold due to the reduced water in the air.

so I waited for the De humidifier to stand after the delivery and plugged it in and WOW in one day in one room it removed almost 2 litres of water and was the same in all the rooms. we had it going on and off over two weeks and what a difference in the house most rooms are now about 50-65 yes the house isnt the warmest as its almost 100 years old but it does hold the warmth for longer now. and its made the house more welcoming.
its good to do some research before purchasing which i did and I am very happy with this Dehumidifier very quiet nice visual displays what the humidity is and very satisfying when you empty almost 20 litres of water during the two weeks of use.

    Reliable and effective unit
We have a large 300 year old property and it has reduced humidity from over 70% to mid 50’s and easily maintains that.
    Condensation and resultant mildew eliminated.
Reservoir needs emptying every morning and evening but very little inconvenience for the resulting benefits

I purchased this for my garage as it gets quite damp in there and when the temp is above 5’c this machine removes moisture literally by the bucket load. The only issue i have is in the colder days then the temp dips below 5’c the unit cuts out and does nothing. It’s not a fault with the machine perhaps its an over sight on my part, it has a defrost function that i thought would prevent this issue from happening but i was mistaken. All in all for inside a house i think you will be amazed how much moisture this dehumidifier will remove.

Really pleased with this. I’m writing this review a few weeks after purchase. Easy to set up takes up little room, my home was quite damp and I was emptying the unit twice in the night after 4 weeks my home is much warmer and dryer and emptying once plus it’s switching it’s self off more often once the humidity level has been met.

We now have two of these in our stone cottage. One for the washing and one to help to deal with damp. The are not quite though not so bad through a door, but then they are machines with powerful fans inside. From upstairs you can hear them but not unreasonably so. The digital humidity rating is extremely useful, when we have had ones with maybe random numbers on the dial before. They are the best ones of many we have had and recommend them. The tank is smaller than some but then it is so easy to empty as long as you keep an occasional eye on it. It emits a warning beep if the tank is full anyway. It is on rollers which work perfectly on a stone floor.

Just wanted to write that this product arrived promptly works as described and I have to empty every 4-12 hrs which is fair. If I had to improve one thing it would be a way to dim the light indicators on the front. The blue lights, light up the room at night. Handy for people who are scared of the dark.

Opening its basically a very basic air conditioner unit / a fridge compressor in the bottom. it rapidly chills the air against thousands of massive grills, on contact with the metal grills the water vapour is pulled out of the air (Think condensation on a windowpane) into the tray. Then it blows the drier air which is slightly warmed on exit.

Needed a replacement dehumidifier and saw this, smaller than intended to buy but actually it’s ideal and is very easy to set up and use. My only complaint is how small the water container is, I know there’s a tube for constant drainage but I have nowhere to constantly drain too, that said it works brilliantly and I’m impressed that I can select the humidity level I want. For the price, it really is a great little unit.

Noise levels are quite and do not disturb you
The product is easy to use and the light turns on when it needs emptying
It’s easy to empty and to put it back in and doesn’t spill any of you are careful and slow
It has wheels so it’s easy to move when you need to empty and put back into its place
It is brilliant at pulling the water out the air
The only downside for me is that I should have brought the biggest one
For ours we have to empty twice a day as it fills that quickly but it shows that it is working efficiently
It has helped dry out our utility room and stop any further damp and damage to the property

I have and would recommend this to anyone who has moisture in the air.
Quick delivery and appropriate packaging for the produc

I bought this to replace a much larger unit that had stopped working. It works well and gets the humidity down pretty quickly. I also love the fact that when I go on holiday I can simply plug in the pipe and drain the water to a large reservoir which means I don’t have to worry about the tank filling up. I’m very impressed so far.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHonestly this has saved so much agro, we had moisture in the conservatory and condensation on all the windows and glass roof. Black stuff starting to spread. This controlled it incredibly! From 91 humidity down to 16 in a matter of days. If you had similar problems this will help you, the room we use it in is roughly 4m x 12m and about 4m high.

I had bought one of these six months ago, and noticed it was 30 cheaper, but unfortunately when this one arrived it had one less feature the air cleaner element. It’s ok as I wanted that feature for the bedroom to cleanse away night air when too cold for windows to be open. So just use this one downstairs where cooking damp lingers.
Works well for both types and certainly keeps the windows demisted in winte

I had to buy a new dehumidifier as the old meaco one stopped working after many years of use. This was the cheapest I could see, that seemed reasonable. It works well and collects water nicely. The only down side is that the tank is a bit small, smaller than the last one, so you will end up emptying it half way through the day on humid days or when you have the washing out.

Our bathroom is approx 10′ x 6′. This good looking machine clears the condensation of two consecutive showers in about 30 minutes.
That’s impressive. From humidity of 90 to 60 in 30 minutes capturing a good couple of mugs of water.
It looks good, is the size of a airplane cabin bag and generates a steady hum that doesn’t intrude.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersi like the fact that it knows what the humidity is and deals with it accordingly. also the blue light provides basic lighting at night. i have mine in my bathroom and i don’t need to use lights at night to go to the loo. i do have a slight issue with the water container being a bit too small but just keep an eye on it and empty it regularly and you’ll be fine. obviously can’t comment on longevity yet, but until then it’s a 5 star device for me. also could be cheaper, hence 4/5 stars on value for money.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersOMG! We moved to Portugal and have had issues with mold growing in the bathrooms and bedroom ceilings and walls at our retreat centre for the past 3 years! Didn’t know about dehumidifiers!!! lol What a God-send they are!!!
Wow! In 24 hours we have collected nearly 16.5 L of water from our own bedroom alone! (3 FULL containers)
I’m so happy I bought this model and make, because many are 1.5L rather than 5.5L catch basins. We would have been dumping water constantly had we gone with a smaller or cheaper model.
The machine automatically shuts off when it’s full – so there’s no guess work. You simply pull out the container from the back of the machine, dump the water and then plug the container back into the machine and presto! The dehumidifier starts up again right away!
We set the settings at 50% (60% is where you’ll find mold growing). Thinking we might even go lower to 45%.
30 – 40% is apparently where you can have static electricity.
The sheets are warm and dry now for the first winter in years! There is zero condensation on the windows when we wake in the morning. AND we don’t have to spray the ceiling with bleach any more! No more mold in the winter!!!!
Love this machine! Works beautifully! All our friends here are buying them now! Plus for 15 more it was one day delivery!

After years of having to dry washing indoors during the winter months and having to wipe ALL of the windows in the house, upstairs and down, I now have no windows running with water. It’s brilliant for drying washing quickly.
Bought originally because my cat has damp related asthma with virtually hourly attacks. Now she has very few attacks and they pass much more quickly. Maybe this is REALLY being daft about an animal but it was distressing to watch her suffering at nineteen and a half years old. I discovered her asthma was damp related during the hot, dry summer of 2018. She didn’t have an attack for months.
LITTLE DID I KNOW that this machine has the added facility of drying my laundry quickly and rescuing me from the daily task of window wiping! Wouldn’t be without it. I also bought a gadget for measuring the humidity in my house which saves me keep turning the de-humidifier on. I’ve tested them together and they give virtually the same reading.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOur conservatory annually during the colder months becomes a wet room. The windows visibly have water droplets and black mold had started to grow on the window frames. This dehumidifier has eliminated the problem in days. The day of delivery the room was at 80% RH, I put it on high speed and within an hour the bucket was full! I then put it on low speed over night. By the morning the bucket was full again and the unit had auto stopped. The unit had reduced the humidity to 50%. I was amazed at how much water ~30% humidity was. The conservatory is visibly drier.

Have no qualms or quibbles this is a great piece of kit buy with confidence!

I ordered this product after a lengthy search on Amazon for a dehumidifyer capable of extracting lots of moisture from my house as the windows were streaming with condensation and one of the walls was damp and growing green mould!! The situation was made worse by having builders in and there being wet plaster everywhere and torrential rain.
After checking the cheaper products and their reviews I decided that this product would be the best bet. I am so glad I got this as it is brilliant. The humidity in the room I plugged it in was 98% and has now gone down to 45 %. The windows and walls are dry and my laundry dries more quickly indoors. The dehumidifier is easy to use and move around and water tank is very easy to empty and I cannot beleieve how much moisture this sucks out of the air. I have discovered that the collected water is brilliant for irons and watering my plants. I am very happy with this product and would recommend over a cheaper one every time.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI am using it on continuous drainage to control the damp and condensation on the inside of an uninsulated metal skinned trailer that is parked outside. It is controlled by a remote timeswitch to operate during the warmer daylight hours and retains the previous settings when the switch turns on again. It clearly works as there is a steady flow of water drops from the outlet pipe although in the current very wet weather the RH inside the trailer is hovering at around 80%. It switches off the compressor and reverts to fan only operation when the temperature drops below about 5 deg C and switches on again when the temp rises.

So far so good but will reserve final judgement until I see how it copes with properly cold weather and being jammed up with ice.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersShopped around for a suitable unit that looked decent and worked well. I am very happy with the NETTA dehumidifier so far. It has been used for over a week and has reduced the humidity in the house (4 bed detatached, positioned on upstairs landing) from 72% to ~49%. It will fill its tank in one night, which is the only reason for not giving 5 stars, however the optional hose could drain into a larger container if nerded. It is a little noisy on full fan speed, but nothing more than a household A/C unit. There is then the option of the slower speed of this was a problem. I cannot comment on electricity consumption yet but I believe the benefits of damp prevention and health will more than cover this cost in the long-term. The unit is weighty, but this was not unexpected for a quality feeling product. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dehumidifier for the home.

Me and my husband recently relocated and moved here in Ireland. We are from the Philippines, which is a very Hot country. One of the things we didn’t know that is necessary is to have a Dehumidifier. We noticed that under our bed, there are a lot of molds that grew. We didn’t know what caused until we found out that it is caused bu too much moisture in the house. So we decided to buy and look for one here in Amazon.

To our surprise, with this very cheap Dehumidifier compare to other expensive brands, this brand really did so much wonder. our Molds issues in our room and under our bed did not grow anymore. No more molds after we cleaned the bed and bought a Dehumidifier. This machine really gets a lot of moisture from our room. In a day, 2 tanks are collected from this machine.

Me and my husband is really happy with this investment. A very affordable machine that really does wonderful job.

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersWay back in the 1950’s, someone thought that it would be a good idea to build an extension onto my house – an old mining cottage that was built in the 1800’s, and while this would have been great if it had been done properly, the builders at the time were besotted with concrete, the new-fangled building material that was going to revolutionise everything for them, so instead of digging down and setting down wooden floorboards over well-ventilated foundations, they poured some concrete and built upon it. The result, as any modern-day builder will know, is that the extension of the house is riddled with damp problems.

To get around this, we’ve always needed to have two dehumidifiers running at the back of the house; one in the bathroom and another in the hallway – but it occurred to us recently that the one in the bathroom was starting to pack in, as although it looked and sounded like it was still working, our windows were running with condensation and black mould was beginning to form in the hallway cupboards and the bathroom ceiling, so we needed to get a new one – and pretty sharpish, too.

I had a good look at a few different models and come to the conclusion that there were a few features that the new one(s) were going to need; a humidistat, the possibility to run continuously, and for them to be quiet. I whittled it down to a few models, but this Netta one won with its slightly cheaper price, good features and a slew of positive reviews, so I went the full hog and bought two of them.

    >>>WHAT’S IN THE BOX?

Well, rather unsurprisingly, you get the dehumidifier in the box! You also get a short length (about 50cm) of clear tubing and a set of instructions.

    >>>FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

After I’d removed the units from their packaging, I have to say that I was pretty impressed with how they looked, but since they had been in transit – and according to the note on the unit itself – I needed to place ’em upright and leave ’em for a few hours before turning ’em on. I have to say that, in comparison to my two old ones, these new ones look comparatively like the Starship Enterprise as they’re very sleek and have an array of controls across the front of them. They are also mounted on casters, meaning that it should be easy to move around and empty them.

    >>>HOW EFFECTIVE IS IT?

After I’d left them alone for half a day, I moved them into the hallway and bathroom where they were going to live, plugged them in, flicked their power switches on and pressed the power button on the each of the units. They beeped, lit up like Christmas trees and made a gentle whirring noise as cool air started to blow from the louvre on the tops of them. Nice. I played with their ‘Speed’ buttons, which allows you to switch it between ‘high’ and ‘low’ speeds, then I pressed the ‘Purify’ button to turn their air purifying feature on, then left them for an hour to see what difference they would make to the windows in the hallway and bathroom. The front display on them was showing that the humidity in each of the rooms was over 85% when I first turned them on, so it was going to be interesting to see how much this would drop.

After an hour or so had passed, I decided to have a look at the end of the hallway where the purifiers had been gently humming away and was stunned to see that not only had the window cleared of condensation in each of the rooms, there was no water on the windowsills. In fact, the rear of the house even felt noticeably drier after just an hour of this thing being turned on and the humidity level on the unit’s display was now sitting at ’63’. To top it all, the air purifier had eliminated the musty, damp odour that had begun to hang around the hallway. I was rather impressed, to say the least.

After about six hours of operation, the 1.5l tank in the unit had reached its maximum capacity and it made a beeping sound before turning off.

    >>>SINGING IN THE BATHTUB

The biggest test of all was in store for the humidifier that lived in the bathroom – which is without doubt the coldest of all of the rooms in the house. My partner and I like to have hot baths and showers, which turned out to be too much for the old dehumidifier to handle. Would the new one do better?

The answer, of course, is a resounding ‘Yes’. I ran a hot bath and watched with interest as the humidity level raised to about 68% but stayed there. I got in and watched as the humidity slowly climbed over 70% and then floated around the 80% mark, which was still enough to stop the tiles from running with water and for the bathroom mirror to steam up.

    >>>ARE THEY NOISY?

In a word, no – but they’re not silent either. It’s difficult to accurately describe the noise that they make – but I would say that it’s probably about equal to that of a microwave oven, and although they’ve got two speed settings they don’t really get any louder at their higher speed setting – they just makes a higher-pitched sound, which could irritate sensitive ears after a while. At the low speed setting (which I have had them set to for the majority of the time since I got them) it’s barely noticeable once you get used to it and they hum away during the night without interrupting mine and my partner’s sleep.

Importantly, and unlike my older dehumidifiers, the fact that they’re on casters stops them from vibrating when
placed on hard flooring, which is something that was driving me around the bend with the old ones.

    >>>ARE THEY EASY TO EMPTY?

Yup. The tanks on these are located at the back of the units, and it’s a simple case of spinning ’em around (those casters again – what a great idea!) pulling ’em out and pouring the water collected in them into a sink, drain or whatever. I would recommend that you turn them off for a couple of minutes before pulling the tank out though, as water continues to pour out of the outlet above the tank for a short while after they’ve been turned off.

They’ve actually got two settings for drainage – you can leave them on the ‘Auto’ setting, which utilises their internal water tanks as above, or you can attach the supplied tubing to their outlets, set ’em to ‘Continuous’ mode, then have the tube draining into a bucket or a drain, etc. I’ve not yet explored this!

    >>>CAN YOU SET THE HUMIDITY?

Yes, you can! You can set the device to turn off automatically when the humidity in a room gets below a certain level, and can set a target level of between 40-85%. I leave my ones set with a target humidity level of 60%, which seems to work really well as they’ll turn off when the humidity reaches just below 60%.

    >>>SUMMING UP

I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting these dehumidifiers to be as effective as they are; I thought that they’d do about the same job as the ones I already had, but they’re truthfully so, so much better.

They’re simple to use, attractive looking, have casters for easy manoeuvring, are quiet and have all the features I was looking for – and to top it off, they’re brilliantly effective at controlling the dampness in my house. I cannot recommend this model highly enough!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis has helped so much with the humidity in my flat. I actually have 2. One stays near the rising damp and is on constantly. The other is in my bedroom protecting my new bed from moisture/mould and is set to keep the humidity below 50%. Both have been fine and reliable. They are accurate, they have 2 speeds and an ion option for air purification. You can have them running constantly or set them to keep a room at the desired humidity (40-80% going up in 5s). They stop and beep when they’ve filled up, the water tank holds 1.5 litres but there is the option to connect the included plastic flexi hose and drain into a bucket etc. I would be lost in a mouldy nightmare without them. I can’t say exactly how much they cost me in electric but they’re not breaking the bank and it’s worth the cost to remain mould free. 😀

Golden Review Award: 33 From Our UsersThis has proved to be a wise purchase as my health has improved in just two days of receiving and using it. Living on the coast I had experienced problems with high humidity causing mould growth on cold walls which affected air quality. Despite complete refurbishment of the building this problem persisted albeit to a lesser extent. With this Netta dehumidifier the atmosphere of the whole house (3 bedroom) has been transformed.

In the first 24 hours it was astonishing how much water this small unit extracted. A secondary benefit is the air purification ioniser which has allowed me to breath normally without reacting to dust and pollen as was the case before. I was seriously thinking I would have to move house the problem was so bad.

I am not impressed with the translation of the instructions which has been pointed out by other reviewers but it is fairly simple to operate so no big deal. It has a powerful fan and compressor unit which necessarily creates noise but not much more than a refrigerator.

This is great value for money and for me life changing. I wish I had purchased it sooner.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersI bought this dehumidifier to replace a previous one (not the same make / model) which had failed after 2 years.
When it arrived I was not that impressed as the instructions were in the usual poorly translated Chinese to English and what’s more they were not accurate, given incorrect light colours and setting steps. It also failed to explain what a flashing power indicator light means which happens occasionally (it seems to indicate that the unit has gone into defrost mode, but not mentioned in the instructions). It was more or less work it out for yourself. I still haven’t worked out how to set the built in timer but everything else seems to be working OK.
I was also not happy when it arrived that the back cover was distorted and warped because when assembled one of the plastic lugs had not been engaged in the main body and the lug was pushing the panel out of place. It would be very simple to correct this by undoing 4 screws, removing the back panel and refitting it properly and I was tempted to do this but in the end I didn’t bother as it is a new item and still under warranty so may need returning if something goes wrong with it.
Once set up and switched on it works perfectly. The previous dehumidifier was a semiconductor peltier effect one but this one uses a compressor. As such it is noisier and uses more electricity (200W as compared with 60W previously). The noise is not excessive but can be reduced by running the fan at a lower speed setting. The fan forces air through the unit quickly compared to previous models and it really does shift a lot of water. It filled the tank within a day and needed emptying between 8 hours and 15 hours depending on what we are doing. My wife does the ironing and airing in the room it is in and it quickly fills up when she does this. At other times it fills up more slowly. The indicated humidity probably is accurate but does not agree with another humidity meter I have in the room. The meter rises and falls as expected when various activities are carried out in the room.
So far all seems well but due to its higher power and rapid water removal I really need to get the timer working as there is no need for the unit to be on all the time.

    – it looks the part. It has a contemporary look and doesn’t look unsightly it in view
    – it isn’t too loud but hardly silent. The noise doesn’t bother me but I wouldn’t want to have to sleep with it on
    – as a dehumidifier it collects good quantities of moisture in good time. It has an auto shut off when the container gets full.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought for an old lady who had damp issues in a rented property. When she sat on the furniture it felt damp, within 2 days of using she found chairs not as damp. within a week she found she didn’t have to put something on a chairs to sit down because there were no longer damp and two weeks later found that the heating didn’t have to be so high

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI truly can’t believe how much moisture is in my home I knew it was there but the amount that this little gem is extracting is eye opening.I toyed with buying a unit for months to see if it makes a difference ,well it certainly does, clothes drying over winter months damp weather all took their toal as black mould small but nether the less started to appear .This unit has got to grips with this and turned it around gone goes the mould and freshness has returned ,this is a great product.

I’ve used it in several areas of the house; it doesn’t collect an amazing amount of water, nor is it ‘quiet’ but it is reasonable efficient compared to others I’ve tried. I like the display features, the flexibility and the various options; it’s easy to set up and empty, and it looks neat.
The only thing I found a little strange is that I read in the (useful and detailed) booklet that came with it, that on initial switch-on, it is in continuous drainage mode. This would mean that it would need the hose connected, and an external receptacle to catch the water. So I’m always worrying that I’ve set it to ‘humidity’, so it it collecting internally and not emptying water over the carpet. I haven’t deliberately tried the continuous drainage feature yet, but I will, and I think this will allay my fears.
Apart from that, very good, and I’m very happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersWell impressed with this item. It arrived before time stated. Is easy to use and works well. I’ve put the continuous flow pipe on as I’ve been getting quite a lot of moisture on the doors and windows. I was surprised just how much water is floating around in the air when this little beast nearly filled a vase with 1 & 3/4 pints of water over an 8hr period two nights ago. Over all, this is a very neat looking unit that’s not unpleasant on the eye at all. The L.E.D display is bright and clear and seeing as this unit also has a built in ioniser, who can complain for the price? As I said earlier, I’m well impressed so far and I would definitely recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersWorks really well. The water-collection tank is a little too small for my taste as I don’t have an outlet point for the hose. So having to empty the tank every day is a bit of a hassle. It does what it should really well and I must say, along with a heating source, this machine is brilliant when it comes to drying your laundry indoors. Usually dries everything within 24 hours, but that does mean more manual emptying of the water-collection tank. Overall, really good! Only gave it 4 stars because it tends to make the room it’s in really cold, and in winter, that’s a bit of a bummer. The lights in the display are also extremely bright and having it in the room whilst trying to sleep, that is a bit distracting.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWe bought this dehumidifier because the house next door to us is empty and we were getting severe damp through the cold walls
The dehumidifier has reduced the condensation significantly and has improved the quality of the air the air smells noticeably fresher and we only use it a couple of hours a day
It runs very quietly I have no complaints about the level of noise it sounds just like a normal household fan
The only complaint I had was that the dehumidifier didn’t come with any instructions, luckily it is easier and uncomplicated to work all the buttons are pretty obvious
I would happily recommend this to anyone looking for a good dehumidifie

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHave been using this dehumidifier from September to February and it works great. I wouldn’t say it’s quiet, but in a low-intensity mode it makes less noise, similar to a sea beyond the window. Full tray of water every day – the machine stops when full. The room is much warmer now and no water on the windows as it’s been before. I got use to this hum, can easily sleep in a same room. Happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 78 From Our UsersI have put up with years of damp in the house in the winter ,windows running with water ,puddles on windowsills damp clothes etc .and thought it was something I had to expect in winter so I was sceptical about the effectiveness of this device but after reading the Amazon reviews I bought one .
The difference it has made in a little over a month has been amazing .The humidity has gone from over 90 % down to around 50 % and the whole house feels completely different .
I was planning to buy a second one for downstairs but this unit is coping with the whole house .
When I first put it on it filled up in about 8 hours but now it only needs emptying every 12 hours which is very easy to do .
The unit is smart and compact and I find it is quiet enough on the slow fan setting ,which is how I have always have it set ,to have it running in my bedroom without it disturbing my sleep but I think most people would find the noise of the fan too much at night but not a problem during the day .
My only criticism is the instructions which are brief ,pigeon English and inaccurate ( the indicator lights are a different colour and it has an automatic function where the fan speeds up for a brief time which is not mentioned )but this is not a big problem as it is very simple to set up and use.I have not used the timer or the auto level functions as it displays the level on the readout so they seem unnecessary but I do have the ioniser on .
I am delighted with the results this unit has produced and would recommend it highly .

Our house is poorly ventilated and after getting the windows replaced we started to get some damp issues. Having tried various moisture crystal things to try and help it I thought it was worth getting an active dehumidifier.

The device is about the size of a carry-on suitcase and has a reasonable length power cable. The cable is long enough for most situations. The instruction manual is relatively easy to understand but it would be nice if the translation was a bit better. Nothing serious but it would make a couple of the instructions a bit clearer.

Powering it on and setting it for 40% and letting it run for a few hours showed that it was being effective. Initial humidity was about 70% and after about 5 hours it was showing 48%. The water collector had quite a lot in it – I should have measured it! So it certainly seems to be doing the job. Obviously this is just a short test and longer term will hopefully give a better idea off effectiveness. Regarding noise, it isn’t quiet so you probably wouldn’t have it running over night in a bedroom. It is probably similar to a hotel aircon unit running.

Given how much you can spend on crystal dehumidifier traps and in our case they were not that effective getting this device could be more cost effective. So far I am very impressed.

Update: After a couple of weeks of use I remain impressed. On average it is removing about 2l of moisture a day. There has been a significant reduction in the condensation on windows that was really noticeable first thing in the morning. You do get used to the noise but it can be intrusive – we live in a quiet area with little outside background noise. If you lived somewhere like my mum near Heathrow and near constant road and aircraft noise it would be less obvious. Excluding the purchase price, running costs seem to compare favourably with buying moisture absorbent crystals and much more effective.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOne of those things that you might not know you need till you have it. This is the best price I’ve seen for this type of unit and it is, in my opinion, a very good buy. It is compact, about the size of a smallish radiator, and it works really well in my flat. I live in a Victoria tenement, so quite high ceilings and fairly roomy, and Glasgow must be one of the dampest places in the country! Smell of mildew is gone, condensation on the windows gone! I had a couple of questions and customer service were just brilliant. I think I may invest in another one and friends who have experienced the difference are now being drawn towards this. I bought this on Amazon, I am giving a genuine response to my experience. However if anyone wants to send me a high end record deck, or something like that, I’ll be happy to review it. Actually that attempt at humour brings up the point, if you’ve got humidity and amps, record players etc the dehumidifier is essential. It’s worked wonders for a crackly mixer and other stuff in the room. Great product, great price.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersBought to deal with damp on a single skin brick wall in our front bedroom bay window. This was caused by warm air in the room meeting a cold outside wall. This unit even working on the low setting is efficient at taking condensation out of the air leaving the wall dry. it is a bit noisy to have on at night if you are sleeping in that room. but works efficiently collecting a suprising amount of water that needs to be emptied every day. The auto cut out when the water tank is full is a useful feature.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI’ve had this deshumidifier only for a week but I can already say that it really works. In my experience it fills the tank, 2 liters of water, in about 5 hours. Only two negatives, I don’t use it in my bedroom but I think it is not very quite. I personally don’t think I could sleep with it on the room. And also, I have an Higrometer and the real humidity is very different that the one the machine states, with about 10% of erro

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood value product that certainly does what it is supposed to. Some might hope it made less noise which might be possible, but processing this much air isn’t likely to be super quiet. 4 stars is possibly harsh, but not allowing you to see how much water is in the container without removing it seems strange and unnecessary. The little Ecco one we have lets you see!

We use it after showers and baths upstairs, or when we dry washing inside (seriously speeds up drying). It pulls more water out of the air than expected for sure. As with every such unit, hotter environments mean faster dehumidifying.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI use dehumidifiers a lot – having a property in Spain on the atlantic coast – but this one is used in the UK east midlands. I have delonghi, rowenta, and hometreats brands. This item is good, I have no reservations after 1 week use, it is humming away in the bathroom drying laundry. My only gripes: (1) the blue display lights are bright, I tape over and paint black, and can still read them in daylight (2) it has a pretty ‘cheap’ exterior IMO, nothing really bad, just you won’t want to show it off! Water removal: I get about 2l/day in a 44m2 studio apartment, but the apartment is not humid (~50%) – I just use this as background heating, and as a physics grad I know that it’s giving me a bit of free energy. I attach a hose for continuous drainage – the one supplied is v. short but if you buy a longer one separately (8mm internal is a tight fit) you must route it v. carefully so that it is always ‘downhill’. All dehumidifiers produce broad spectrum annoying noise, this one no exception but it’s not bad, you just must have a door between you and it. Don’t put it in you living room or bedroom – I have one in a vented airing cupboard, draining into the tundish – that works well too. This unit is ‘priced to go’ and I recommend it.

Edit: when I bought this it was 79.99 – it’s now 10.00 more. Still a good buy, and I need another, so I’m buying a second.

Edit: 2.3 years on, I have been running two of these 24/7 for 2 years in a studio flat, draining into bath and PHW tundish. I like it dry. Both still working great. Just cleaned one… oh dear, should do this more often. Recommended. Erk – the price was better back then! I guess they wanted to get traction, reviews in the market.

3.7 years on: still both doing grea in, non-stop operatio
