I bought this as a gift which hasn’t been used yet. I have one of my own and it is a very useful tool. I note this is bigger and more powerful than my own Bosch, so I was pleasantly surprised with the good value. Came in a nice plastic box.

I feel that the support handle that fits at right angles should have been included in this kit.
The makers left a hole for it, so a separate purchase should not be needed.
The machine itself is great and is very handy for jobs around the house and garden.
Super good for pruning my orange trees, olive trees and roses (use the straight cutter for best results.
    Delivery was also good.
It just lacked the extra handle which made the “easy to use” 4 stars instead of 5

This has been used to far to strip a banister. Works very well but on the first day one of the blades snapped. I contacted Bosch and they sent a replacement out. It’s for small jobs around the house but very handy to quickly pull out and use for any job that needs doing.

I rescued my french window jammed door that I nearly called out a locksmith and carpenter to remedy but the Bosch Multitool did the job

Very good quality tool,I have a small project to do and this multi-tool help me a lot to cut through small angles which I couldn’t do it without it.

Use the tool to make a cut a snug fit to install a loft ladder.
I must admit, without this I would have ruined the project.
The blade has performed very good to make straight cuts. I hope bosch quality will endure the aonger product life.

This is now my favourite power tool. I’ve already had so many different uses for it and really impressed with it. Need to wear ear protectors for the noise if using for longer periods but it’s worth it. Replacement tool bits are pricey but seem very well made.

Versatile, easy to use. The switch is a bit stiff, but that might be all the plaster dust. This allowed me to cut skirting board off from behind pipes in minutes. (Can you marry these?)

After having a cheaper model last about 3 uses I upgraded to this mid range multi tool.
It’s used regularly for small odd jobs around the farm and is decent for the price. The blades seems to eat through most things without much hassle, and keep their edge.
It’s not a pro tool, but it’s a good solution to “buy cheap, buy twice”

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI tried a battery powered version and being close to 80 years old, found it a bit too heavy. This mains version is superb, never runs out of battery, but you do need a mains lead. I have never really found battery powered tools to be better than mains powered tools, other than for being able to use them away from a mains supply. I now have a portable battery powered inverter, which I can run a mains lead from, so for me, that problem is now eliminated and I don’t need a heap of batteries and chargers.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI enjoy doing a bit of DIY and often the small jobs turn out the most awkward. 8 years ago I bought one of the first of these multitools available and have used it a lot over the years. A small job came up, perfect for the multitool, but sadly after 5 minutes it died – not that I complain as it has done me well.

So I sent for this one, to replace my old trusty one. What a difference!

It is quite a bit more powerful and does the ‘small’ jobs even quicker and, I have to say it, neater too. The reason is twofold. Firstly being more powerful – bigger and better motor – it is also faster so goes through wood far far easier. Secondly, the new ‘Starlock’ system is a vast improvement too. The blades that came with this new one are sharper, better made and of course, are the Starlock ones.

On the negative front, it means I have to buy new blades as my old ones would not fit without an adaptor – I will get an adaptor but actually prefer the new system as I feel safer with it too.

For anyone who has never had one of these multitool machines before and are thinking they might take the plunge, don’t delay as it will change your work attitude forever as now the small jobs really can be ‘small’ jobs.

Has been super handy for cutting the grout to get tiles out. Could be better in corners as can’t get it into a three point corner with any of the grout blades. Has also cut wood and metal screws well.

Do practice with this and don’t just start using straight away. It’s too easy to make a poor cut and take too much off and at the wrong angle. Other than that it’s great for architrave and tight spots where a hammer and chisel would make a mess.

The tool is efficient but having to buy the handle separately is ridiculous and even more frustrating is that, having purchased the handle, it won’t fit in the box in which the tool is supplied. Come on Bosch, sell the complete kit.

Separately the address label on the package said ‘Next Day’ and it took 3 days to arrive.

I bought this after buying a slightly cheaper generic branded one from a well known DIY store that failed after 7 months of barely any use. I returned it and got this Bosch. I have already used it to plunge cut a hole in kitchen units to install a washing machine.
Almost all DIY stores stock Starlock blades and so does EBay where you can get them for 4 to 5 each.
You pay for what you get and cheap tools will bite you in the behind when you least expect it, hence going the Bosch route.

Good product but you will find when you need new blades they are expensive. If you were to use this tool on a daily basis it could cost you a lot in extra blades over a year. Maybe there is more economical products. As a DIY tool I cant fault it so far it has done all I’ve asked of it.

So far the best tool I bought to redecorate my house. Managed to cut a thick kitchen laminate worktop in minutes and also cut some tiles (with a few sparkles- wear glasses!). Strong and powerful, is really worth it.
Wish it would come with a handle though and extra blades, those can be quite expensive, being the starlock system a non-standard one. Hoping in some prime day discount.

It seems sound but, as others have said, there are less expensive brands on the market that are just as good and accept standard tools, which are a lot less expensive. I can’t see any advantages to this Bosch except that it is Bosch. It’s not good value for money, really.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis tool is just simply powerful and well made. The motor is relatively quiet and minimal vibration on the handle compared with Bosch GOP 12V multi tool. Cuts wood like hot knife over frozen butter! The Bosch blades are expensive but it gets the job done a lot faster!. Very happy with it! Totally recommend it to whoever is contemplating to get a multi tool by Bosch. None of my Bosch tools have ever failed me or died yet (even after 20years)

This is an interesting piece of kit. It has numerous cutting, sanding and grinding applications. However there are some weaknesses which after 5 weeks use are becoming apparent. The thread on the fixing screw on the head is already showing signs of wear even at this early stage. Think you might need to go further up the range to get the most resilient tool for the heavier jobs

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have never owned a multitool before and I came up against a job no other power tool could deal with due to access issues. I bought the 350 CES for the easy grab feature which means you can change the attachment simply by pushing the star down on the attachment. It has a satisfying click when it locks and holds the attachment firmly so there is minimal power lost to vibration. In fact mine hardly vibrated at all. It is very powerful and easily took care of my task, cutting through wood and nails with ease. But the blades do get blunted with heavy use and are of quite thin metal so will need to be changed regularly but no more frequently than the corresponding jigsaw blade. The reciprocating action is not as strong as the rotational motion of a grinder, but the thin blades are better for more detailed work when you want to be careful not to damage surrounds. The light was not a big issue for me until I used it. I expected a rather faint glow as you often see with low budget items but this was really bright and lit the work surface really well so I was glad I had the feature. The item was delivered on time and in perfect condition by amazon. I would strongly recommend the 350 for its power, its easy attachment changes, lack of vibration and powerful spotlight.

Bosch have changed to tool head on this particular machine, that means that your existing blades do not fit it, so you have to go out and buy new blades. Not an issue if it is new to you, but very frustrating if it is a replacement machine you have purchased. Check first.

Excellent machine for sawing a range of materials including wood, corrugated plastic sheet etc.
However the sanding pad won’t retain a sand paper for more than a few seconds when held against the surface to be sanded. Whilst the sanding sheets have a velcro side, the machine pad is merely a serrated surface.

I first saw one of these tools being used some years ago by a professional and was very impressed with its versatility, but less so with the cost of the tools at that time. Faced with some jobs of my own I finally decided to buy one and have since been very impressed by just how versatile they can be. From simple cutting jobs in the garden where using another tool would have taken hours, right through to using it to fit flooring this one has proven to be a great choice. I’ve achieved excellent results with only a little practice and have been delighted with my choice. The built-in light on this tool is a handy feature and the Starlock system allows the tools to be changed rapidly and without a fuss. If I was being picky then I’d only say that the replacement blades can be pricey as there’s very little aftermarket choice which actually fits, but to be fair even the official blades can be bought at a reasonable price if you buy them in packs.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI’m in the middle of a serious DIY project at the moment. I needed to replace a short section of skirting which had been damaged by a water leak. That wall was old lath and plaster and I knew from past experience that I could seriously damage the plaster trying to get the skirting off. Then I saw people on YouTube using a multitool similar to this one for the job, so after comparing specs and considering the reputation of the manufacturer I eventually bought this one.

I specifically wanted to avoid cordless versions of the tool since I don’t expect to use it often, and didn’t want the battery to die of neglect between uses. But, once I had the tool I was surprised by how often I found a use for it, where it was clearly the best tool for the job. For example I had to cut an access hole in a plasterboard wall in order to fish some network cable. Plunge cutting with one of the supplied blades made short and accurate work of that!

Another was cutting away the tongue on some floorboards I needed to lift (that network cable again). Again this tool did it easily. I’ve used a circular saw for this job in the past, but the circular saw takes a lot of setup to avoid plunging too deep and is frankly a bit scary to use that way (have to pull the guard open, don’t fancy hitting a nail with one of them). With the multitool you just put the right blade in and start cutting: progress isn’t as fast but in many ways that’s a good thing for an amateur. You can feel in your hands when you’re through, so there’s little danger of slicing right through and hitting a cable or water pipe, especially if you choose a short blade.

As to that rotted skirting, it was a doddle: I made a scarf cut over a stud just past the nails and simply lifted the skirting away. Absolutely no chance of damaging the plaster, I literally can’t think of any other tool I could have used.

Only one downer, nothing to do with the tool itself: Amazon suggested that “customers also buy” a pack of 10 “wood+metal” blades, not Bosch made. Those were absolutely useless. I had a floorboard screw that was spinning in its hole so I thought I’d cut it out, having removed the neighbouring board. The cheap blade only made it halfway through the 4mm screw before it was completely blunt. Yes I know the genuine Bosch blades are expensive, and frankly you can say what you like, but I won’t be wasting my time on any more cheapo blade sets for this thing.

Recommended. A multitool is simply the best tool for some jobs, and this Bosch corded tool seems to be good quality and has a nice quick tool change mechanism. Obviously I can’t say anything about longevity.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersYou aren’t able to use other universal blades so you are stuck with starlock only blades which are in comparison. I’ve tried to find an adapter but not found one yet. Otherwise a great machine, powerful, robust and pretty compact.
I’ve been sharpening the starlock blades with a small triangle file which works great at prolonging the life, so having to replace less often. Maybe in time there will be more aftermarket starlock blades, or an adapter. Overall I’m more than happy with it, one star lost for the expensive blades.

Golden Review Award: 38 From Our UsersI have been collecting tools for 60 years, ever since I paid 25/- for my first motor bike. That is 1.25p to you youngsters.
I literally have every tool for my garage and garden shed. I had a specific need for a non penetrative saw type device to cut a hole through a closed panel where a traditional saw would not have the access behind the panel where pipes etc. are housed. I checked my local tool hire company and they wanted 25 per day.
I had heard of multi cutters of course but thought that they seemed ineffective. How wrong I was. I did my usual and searched the web. As per usual Amazon had the best price on this Bosch item.
Since I have had it I have found a second job for it so that would have cost me 2 x 25 from the hire shop. The Amazon price for this item is 60. I am sure that I will find plenty of jobs to do within the family,
PS, The range of saw blades available is fantastic.

    Regards . Ala

I was surprised how little vibration there was in using this handy tool. Just as well really as it is quite thick to handle and as I have quite small hands I was worried about slippage but turns out there was nothing to worry about.

The PMF 220 comes with three tool attachments (semi-circular saw bit, straight saw bit and sander with extra sanding sheets). The attachments seem quite expensive so I wish I shopped around a bit more for a package that comes with more tool attachments. Other than that, a very sturdy and great power tool.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGreat unit which has come in handy for all sorts of jobs over the past year or so – used a lot of time for e.g. taking up floor boards (tongue and groove) without any hassle and also used a lot with the sanding attachment for delta sanding. Lightweight and easy to change the head, and a large number of cheap non Bosch cutting heads can be purchased cheaply which fit this. Only negative would be the quality of the case – as with all the power tools I’ve ever had – it seems very difficult to fit the unit back in the case for storage after use! to many compartments and pieces of plastic which foul on the cable.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersGreat Product as you would expect from Bosch, Hopefully I will get great service from this tool like my other Bosch tools that I have purchased.
I only gave it 4 stars because it did not come with all its tools, I had to purchase further tools so that I had every tool that I might need for any project that I decided to use it for!.

Pros: Great tool, Easy to use and quick starlock tools which connect with Allen key (supplied)

Cons: No side Handle and not enough tools!.
