Microwave ovens do not generate any heat themselves but instead cause water molecules in food to vibrate. This vibration produces heat that cooks the food. This is why your food will come out of the microwave piping hot, when your utensils inside the microwave stay much cooler.
Microwaves cannot go through metal, so the inside of the appliance is lined with metal. The door is lined with a fine metal mesh which stops microwaves getting through.
Cleaning
Avoid using scouring pads, steel wool or other abrasives. Warm soapy water and a sponge should get rid of all moisture and food spillages.

Avoiding Mishaps
To avoid any microwave mishaps it is recommended to take extra care with the following:
Low moisture foods (eg. cereals, bagels, dried pasta, pulses and chocolate)
– These must be cooked on a low power level for a very short length of time, or preferably not at all.
High sugar content foods (eg. jams, syrups)
– These foods can become easily ‘super-heated’ when cooked in a microwave oven.
Foods containing alcohol
– Foods with an alcohol content must not be cooked in a microwave as they could ignite.
Foods with a membrane or outer skin (eg. fruits, sausages, potatoes)
– Food with a sealed or none porous skin must be pierced to allow pressure and steam to escape.

Delivered promptly and so easy to set up. The stainless steel finish is excellent. Easy to use too and has special additional settings for defrosting and even a separate ‘potato’ button. A nice decent size too which can accommodate the larger dinner plates easily. Value for money on this is remarkable at 129. Five Stars and well done Russell Hobbs, an underrated manufacturer.
Very simple to figure out, half the time you can’t figure out how to use all of the buttons, with this one it’s a breeze.

Description read stainless steel I I was expecting that to include the cabinet. That is not the case it is painted silver grey with s/s trim on front.
My only issue is it can get a little noisey when used for longer duration. As if something (fan?) is causing vibration, when the cabinet heats up it seems to hit the resonant frequency.
Door catch requires firm pressure. More than I would have expected.
At the end of the day it is not an expensive model and that is reflected in the above

his was a amazon warehouse deal purchase, large microwave can fit in the very large dinner plates we got years ago as wouldn’t fit in our old standard sized microwave, easy to use’ it does have presets but not used them yet, the glass in the door is very dark which makes it difficult to see in side when in use.

I hope the interior light bulb lasts a long time, because it can only be changed by a qualified service engineer; the user guide says if the bulb fails while still within the 12 month warranty the retailer will replace the whole oven! The light remains on when the door is open, so remember to close the door when not in use to save energy.
“Stainless Steel” in the description applies only to the door and control panel, the rest is painted metal. I hoped it would be entirely stainless steel because my previous microwave oven (a different make) rusted inside; however, that was after 20 years use so I expect this will be good enough.
Easy to use provided you refer to the user guide, otherwise you wouldn’t have a clue; the abbreviations on the display make no sense. You wouldn’t guess that “dEF1” means defrost by weight, or “A-8” means cook 550g of porridge! Don’t worry about this, you soon get used to it, just don’t lose the user guide!
Powerful microwave with enough settings to chose from. Only thing annoying about it is that it leaves finger prints all over the stainless steel but that is just what happens with that kind of material.

I’m very pleased with the microwave, my only slight criticism is that it’s a bit difficult to see inside to see home the food is cooking.
Very good value, researched may shops prior to buying and none that we saw could compete with the quality, size, power and price. Would highly recommend.

As others have mentioned, finger marks and smudges will be visible initially… these should reduce after a few months usage (had the same problem initially with my oven from a different manufacturer). Happy so far with looks and operation.

The only thing that bothers me, though, is that the steel or sliver does not shine because of our finger prints that smudge it. I have to clean and wipe it all the time. Which by the way not a bad idea.

First of all this is a great microwave for the whole family the functions of this is for heating and cooking mostly in bulk for example porridge. But I use it for single use. it is big enough to hold medium bowls or a 12 inch plate and with the 900 watt power cooks things a little faster. Overall this is a great product and would recommend

Very good microwave, but it is BIG. I specifically chose one to fit my full size dinner plates in and so that rice pouches etc could fit in standing up. It is perfect for that. However, if you have a compact kitchen I doubt this one is for you. Measure your space against the dimensions to see first, it might somewhat take over the space! Defrost settings are good, so far it has never cooked anything I am defrosting (something that has irritated me on previous microwaves). Quiet microwave but loud pings when finished so I can wander off and hear it when it’s done, which is handy as my memory is terrible.

The dial begins at a large number and has to be turned through several revolutions to scroll down to the required (in my case, short) re-heating time. This process is not complicated, justly slightly more ‘clunky’ than really necessary.

This is huge, powerful and looks gorgeous (it’s everything you look for in a man, only it can cook too) it is seriously worth the cash and it doesn’t have a grill.. Ideal!
Bought one of these for my aunt. The price point was perfect and since she isn’t bothered about having a microwave that can grill and act like a conventional oven it also is the perfect match of functionality.
