A bit late in coming to this game. It is a great game! Not sure how long it has taken me to complete it, but I bought it at Christmas and started playing it boxing day. I just completed itlast night (12/2/22). I’m sure there are many who will do it faster, but I tried doing it at Jedi Master level and I tend to try and find everfy secret before moving on. The last Star Wars game I bought was Battlefront 2 which was also very good. I think Fallen Order is better. Highly recommended.

It’s ok.. the atmosphere feels great and the graphics are amazing, but I miss the star wars feel I got from games like battlefront 2. The objectives can be a massive drag with no great fighting scenes and some missions can feel like a chore. I found it pretty boring, which is upsetting for the high price point.

Quick and easy just never understand why when you get a download code you pay more even though you haven’t got a physical product ? The game it’s self was amazing a gripping story line

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAt the moment having played through through three planets [ there’s more to do on these when levelled up], I can honestly say despite what X-boxers may tell you it plays perfectly well using Keyboard and mouse on your PC. The game is not only good visually the game play -seems to well -balanced to what ever level od difficulty you choose, there’s some great ‘puzzles’ that need to solved, all the manoeuvres you learn come in very handy. The levelling up system enables you to create a save-spot. All the information you need about just about all that you come across in the game is documented as you work your way through the game. Highly recommended, I’ve done a lot of Beta testing in my gaming-life and would have been only too please to have worked on this, well done Respawn, the actors which the avatars [NPCs] and EA Games, all are suely ontoa huge winner.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersJedi Fallen Order is a great game. The focus is on combat and exploration. Respawn have done a brilliant job. I’m about 20 hours in and I’m still enjoying it, and as I have the attention span of a Gnat that’s pretty good for me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersInitial impressions are very good indeed. Visually, this game is absolutely jaw dropping, from the opening scenes in a junk yard where vast Imperial Star Destroyers are being dissected in the background, with AT-STs marching around like tiny ants amongst the wreckage. Stunning, vivid colour palettes abound; the first planet you land on is lush, water effects look incredible. Both in terms of the sheer scale and the stunning detail when viewing things up close, the Unreal Engine really gets to shine here. It’s like God Of War on steroids!

Story-wise, it’s certainly matching up to Respawn’s previous single player campaign in Titanfall 2 so far; it’s slick and once again involves a robot companion, although this one looks like a baby Wall-E as opposed to a thirty foot towering Titan! The ‘tutorial’ level is full of set pieces which will attempt to overwhelm your senses, whilst the quick-fire introduction of your new powers and abilities will mean within fifteen minutes, you’ll be sprinting, climbing, jumping, using your basic force powers and deflecting blaster rounds with your light sabre. I definitely had a couple of moments where I stopped and just absorbed the fact I was ‘in’ the Star Wars universe, and it was glorious.

Gameplay wise, the pre-release chatter suggested this was Dark-Souls-light with Metrovania mechanics and that is bang on the money. Once past the tutorial, there’s no way-point system to mindlessly guide you to your objective. You are going to have to bring up your 3D map, work out where you want to go (which is highlighted on the map) and then navigate to that point. There are different coloured highlights to show places you can go, and places you will be able to visit once you have more abilities. Combat is certainly an order of magnitude easier than Dark Souls (playing on Normal difficulty) so it’s nowhere near as frustrating, but if you’re looking for a challenge I suspect the two harder settings should have you covered, I can’t comment though as I just want to enjoy the story first time around.

So in summary, it looks and feels like a star wars game, it’s got interesting mechanics and traversal systems, and the last time playing a game that made me feel like a Jedi was in 2003’s Jedi Outcast game. If like me you were wondering, “Is this worth my time and money” I’d say go for it, because there isn’t a game quite like it, and there hasn’t been for a very long time.

*** For reference, I purchased an Origin code from CDKeys for less than 40, running on an i5 with a GTX1070, 16Gb of ram, all settings to ‘Epic’ running at 4K. Just about holding steady frame rates, but a GTX1080 or above would be idea for 4K I think. ***
