I love ironing but gave this a go. Great steamer ideal for freshening up clothes. Bit fiddley to position clothes to steam, scolded my hands several time but there is a knack to it getting better the more I use. Shame heat proof gloves not included. But overall a great product.

Fabulous piece of kit. A game changer!

So often we end up dry cleaning garments because they are too difficult to iron. This steamer works beautifully on even difficult pieces. We used it to get wrinkles out of new curtains and clothing that had been poorly packed by the movers. We no longer need to store everything in wardrobes as we can quickly steam whatever we want to wear in minutes. Great buy!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo, as long as you are careful with this as it is easy to burn yourself until you get the hang of it, this is a FANTASTIC product. I steam everything and have become quite obsessed. I am not sure how I ever lived without this before?! (Well, you know what I mean) 🙂

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI’m so glad I bought this. I did quite a bit of research first and I went for this slightly pricier option. The reviews online were excellent and they were not wrong. It’s bigger than I thought it would be but it’s extremely compact and easy to use. Very high quality material so it doesn’t feel flimsy. It’s extremely sturdy. The water tank is huge so you get such a long time out of it. The turn hanger is really necessary and makes it much easier to use. The wheels are great as you just roll it away when you’re done. The best thing of all- no sore arm or back from ironing, I get my entire ironing basket done in half the time. I would never go back to a normal iron after this.
My 3 issues with it are; 1. It doesn’t work on Jeans or heavy materials even with the precision button. You’ll need to iron them but I don’t mind as everything else is done in seconds. You can also lower the hanger and sit down and do all your steaming. The creases just fall out of lighter materials. Even t shirts are done quickly. I’ve also used it on a delicate/ silky item that is difficult to iron and it was a breeze.
    2. Shirts seem to hold the steam in and can feel damp. However, leaving them to hang overnight in the hot press fixes that but you wouldn’t be able to put them on straight away.
    3. There is nowhere to put the handheld steamer part while you’re getting your next clothes item on the hanger. I have to try and put it on the bed as quite a bit of steam us coming out.

Despite these issues, I’d still recommend it. It really has made light work of sorting and ironing clothes. Life is much easier with this product.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSuper quick to assemble and easy to use. Great for just taking the creases out of T-shirt’s and jeans etc. Wouldn’t use it for my smart work shirts and suits where detailed finish is needed ! Sometimes you can’t beat an iron.

Brilliant. Easy to assemble (took 2mins) and to figure out how it works. I’ve had it 3 days so can’t speak on the durability, but so far I can’t live without it! Absolutely incredible. Works like a charm!

WARNING: this does not replace a traditional iron! For best result, obviously go for a good iron.

With the above said, this works like a charm for quickly getting rid of wrinkles in clothes about 90% of the time for someone like me who dreads ironing clothes.

Very easy to assemble, quite small and easy to store. It is a little bit unstable at times when you tuck the garment sideways during steaming though.

Excellent alternative to endless ironing! It wont produce a 100% result when compared to a traditional steam iron, but a whole lot quicker and easier to achieve an acceptable result then the frustration of using an iron! Only gets 4/5 as the steam boost is underwhelming!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWorks well for many types of garments, knitwear, trousers, jackets. Needs to be on a flat waterproof floor and it will generate a lot of steam, so you will need to ventilate the room and manage the condensatio

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersTakes some getting used to, but works well with most fabrics. I didn’t think it would work on my cardigan, but it worked really well. Used on curtains too, pleased with the results.

Doesn’t replace an iron (if you want crisp shirts) but will remove about 95% of creases from work shirt.

Works very well with thin materials.

Easy to use, but the head/handle/tube can get a little hot due to the steam passing through it, but it wouldn’t say it’s hot enough to burn someone.

Comes with extra tools to attach to the head, but there’s nowhere on the machine itself to store/hold those pieces.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI decided that for my birthday I wanted a garment steamer as I hate ironing with a passion but love natural fibres more! Since being given a laundry maid drying rack for Christmas means that along with free drying I often get crispy over dried clothing nowadays the need for ironing has increased in tandem with the decrease in the electricity bill & yet I still loathe ironing & this is not going to change at my age. Enter the idea of a garment steamer…

This product is brilliant. I can stream all my wrinkles out in mere seconds (ok, a minute or two at most.) So far I’ve used it on woollen jumpers, trousers (yes the creasing head does work), coats & beret, denim shirts & jeans, brushed cotton shirts, cotton poplin shirts, crepe dresses, velvet skirts, viscose tops, ties, synthetics, you name it, I’ve done it. It raises the nap on velvet & corduroy without damaging its appearance like an iron would & totally avoids the issue of pocket imprints on trousers. Watching the creases fall out of silk & crepe is amazing.

One thing that totally grabbed my attention was watching a badly creased transfer on a boys shirt straighten itself out without the risk of smearing it all over the shirt. It’s a shame my boys have left home…!

I’ve decimated my laundry pile & taken down bags of clothes from the attic which had been stored for years & were so badly creased that I was embarrasses to take them to the charity shop – now they’re only lightly created of at all & the fusty smell has gone too!

The foot switch is a useful feature as I can turn off the steam while hanging/removing garments over/from the built in hanger. I use this for special care items or heavily creased items which need a longer steaming.
There’s a ‘hook’ for you to hang your own hanger off which can be more convenient if you just need to lightly steam a shirt.

Steaming for longer times mean that the items can get quite damp so I hang them for a short while over a radiator to dry out if necessary. Short steam garments can be worn straight away though.

In short this is a great purchase & I’m delighted with it. Nothing beats a good old fashioned pressing with an iron for special occasions but this is a close second & has already had a lot more use than my iron & it’s freed up time & space in my home providing me not only with un-creased clothing but also peace of mind…

Cautionary note: this is a stream generator so don’t be surprised if your windows steam up and you get a bit hot, it’s to be expected! Wear a t-shirt & open your windows to compensate. Also occasionally it dribbles hot water into your hand & if you’re pulling the cloth to stretch it as you steam (recommended which heavily creased/very dry items) be careful as steam is hot & the meal plate heats up. It’s common sense!

This machine replaced a very old hand held unit by Moulinex, that although brilliant in its own way, was limited due to size and more lately the age of the machine. So with it being time to retire the old unit I tried the new device, which I have to say right up front is absolutely excellent.
Unpacking was easy and set-up a breeze. The major part of learning about how to use this alternative to some of the steam ironing one would normally do is the configuration as an upright unit and the lack of a need to press the fabric down using an ironing device. This learning curve can cause some unexpected issues one of which is using different muscles to undertake the process, and some consequential aches and pains in the shoulders due to the different movement required. Of course this might just be me!
One One thing I really like is the ability to refresh suit jackets and other tailored items that one would not usually be able to iron, but which with a steamer can be refreshed very quickly.
The only slight drawback is found in the size of our small house making it a little challenging to store the machine easily; it is a little bulky to my eye.

This is very very good, I hate ironing, wish I tried this sooner. Done two shirts and jeans, easy to use, excellent results. We’ll pleased with this, best purchase of 2018.

This is a powerful heavy duty tool, albeit, one designed for domestic use. The long flex is great for steam-cleaning clothes on hangers.

Set up was easy. Got a bit impatient waiting for it to warm up, but when ready, the light goes out. Steam is brilliant. Lots of it, instantly refreshes your clothes.

Well designed, compact, won’t take up much space. I didn’t get the rotating hanger, so disappointed about that.

I’ve been using this garment steamer for the past few weeks on my day to day suits for work and I’m very impressed with the results.

It’s not the quietest bits of kit but it is fast, produces good results and is simple to use.

Set up first time is a bit of a pain but once you get the hang of it it is very simple and the only other downsize is the size & storage when not in use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWhat a brilliant idea!

The steamer is simplicity itself to set up and was ready to use in under two minutes. With very impressive build quality and occupying a relatively small footprint, the uses for this steamer are too many to mention.

While not really able to replace a conventional steam iron, the flexibility of this steamer, with its 2.5 litre removable water tank, means that it is in frequent use.

Whether it’s to remove creases from suits, shirts, curtains, garments can be left to hang on the hangar as per the diagrams provided above. Additional heads are even provided to provide creases in trousers etc..

The steamer is height adjustable and also collapsible for easy storage.

    Highly recommended.

It’s so rare to find an appliance that does exactly what it says it will, no more and no less. The kits comes in quite a large box but once it’s fully assembled it compacts down into a device about the size of a small vacuum cleaner.

Using the unit is incredibly easy, and one of those things where you think you’ve done something wrong as it seemed too easy in use! The unit is fully usable after only a minute of startup time, perfect for those rushed morning. A blessing is that the water container detaches so once you have it set up and forgot you needed to fill it, not a problem no need to move everything and start again.

I’m just another office worker in a finance company, so shirt and tie are the standard garb for my Monday to Friday working week and any device that can ease the drudgery the weekly ironfest is most certainly welcome. I’ve never owned a steamer before so it was quite a novelty to learn how to use one and I’m very impressed by how easy to was to take a freshly dried shirt from the wash and ease out the creases without all the tedious ironing board and iron malarky. I tried a typical run and then decided to leave a slightly damp old shirt scrunched up in the wash hamper just to see how the unit would cope with the worst I could throw at it. It worked very well, being extremely creased it wasn’t perfect and usually i’d simply wash the garment through again but it was good to know that I could “rescue” something from the clean laundry in a hurry if I really had to and still make it to work on time!

I was very impressed at how well the unit did what it said it would, a rear thing these days. I worked as it said it would. I packs away nicely into the cupboard and I can see myself trying to use this over conventional ironing whenever I can.

This upright steamer is a great bit of kit for various tasks around the house. It was easy to assemble straight out of the box and once it is filled up, it heats up and is ready to use in well under a minute. It has wheels to make it easy to move around and a hanger at the top to hang garments on as you steam them. This has been used on a work suit and some curtains and it managed to remove the majority of wrinkles in both cases. It is an attractive and simple to use unit and is ideal for quickly sprucing up a shirt or suit if you are heading out the door in a rush. Well worth considering.

Oohhh I’m in LOVE!!! No really – this thing is awesome. Well, ok, maybe not appliance of the year or anything but for someone who can’t iron through hand arthritis, and since care services were cut a couple of years ago has had to depend on caring relatives or others to do my ironing for free because the paid for services are extortionate (!) this has proven revolutionary for me, Finally I can manage to get at least an odd thing “ironed” to a state I’m happy to wear it in public.

The steamer portion of it is about the size of a small hoover but not as heavy and is on 2 good sized wheels so very manoeuvreable. It then has a really neat interlocking pull up stand with 3 locks that mean you can vary the height of the stand – great for anyone in a wheelchair as they can use it on the first or second lock where taller people would likely want it extended to the top. At the top you then have a removable hanger with clips for skirts/trousers etc

The base just has a foot operated switch and a large water tank which is easily filled from the bottom (has a good valve so no worries about water leaking between tap & appliance). Fit the tank on, press the button & steam wil start to flow within about 20-30 secs though it will take a minute to get up to full steam (pardon the pun!).

Pop your item on the hanger and away you go – run the head up and down the creases until they magically disappear. You get a great attachment to use for where you DO actually want creases i.e. sleeves & trousers etc which although a shade fiddly certainly did enable the job to be done.

The only real downside to all of this is the fact that you can’t regulate the volume of steam (if I’ve missed that somewhere maybe someone can enlighten me) which means that unless you’re using it in a purpose made utility room or near an open door, you’re going to have a fair bit of steam in a room which over time might cause issues. I’m using it in a bedroom and am a bit wary now as having used it for about 20 mins it left the room feeling decidely humid. However, most people will only use one of these for a quick burst of steam to remove creases rather than like me trying to use it as a pseudo-iron which it obviously isn’t. For starters you’re not applying pressure alongside the steam to really maintain the crispness of the ironed look, but regardless it’s great for the odd item I have that only needs minimal attention to bring it up to a wearable state.

    The other minor issue is that if you do use it for any length of time on a single garment you should be aware that obviously where an iron is dry heat, steam is wet, so your nice bone dry garment if going to get damp fairly quickly so ideally if you’re hoping to steam something 5 mins before you head out to work, you’re not going to enjoy it too much. Ideally give at least 10-15 mins before use to steam it and then leave it somewhere warm to dry off again before wearing;

However, this is one appliance that will prove hugely useful especially in a teenage household (whose teens do any ironing???) and those with busy workers who need crisp clothing and who maybe wear clothes that crease the minute you remove the iron. Tefal has long been recognised as a producer of quality goods and they’ve certainly proven that with this appliance.

Very easy to assemble & sturdy once everything’s in place. Generous size tank for water & tap water is fine. Tank is easily removed for filling & emptying. Long lead for plugging in. Heats up quickly.

Hanger locks in place for ease but spins 180 for convenience although the central post is sort of in the way when you reverse the hanger.

Variety of heads for the steamer depending on type of fabric. Clear instructions for use.

Obviously it gets very hot so care needs to be taken when using. The handle gets a bit warm & I found when doing a linen dress I was holding the hemline in place & nearly sreamed myself once or twice.

There’s a button for specific area steaming for stubborn areas.

It’s a really good product but personally, I prefer the results from an iron.

    I would recommend it though.

Well designed, easy to use and effective; very useful for pressing jackets which are a total pain to iron, and jumpers which just need a short burst to refresh them. A great product – nice to leave set-up ready for fast pressing and refreshing.

I’ve never used a garment steamer before and I am converted!

This Tefal one seems well made and came well boxed and the whole thing was quite straightforward to setup.

You fill the water tank and you are away. Heats up in decent time. The built in hanger is really handy and I set to work on one of my dress uniform jackets. After just a few minutes it was looking good!

It’s easy to operate by foot so ideal if you are doing a lot of items. This can be used on pretty much anything. Works well on curtains!

It’s easy to maneuver thanks to the wheels. Gives good steam output and there are some attachments making it quite versatile.

Overall very pleased with this item.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a very, very useful bit of laundry kit, a least my wife says so! Seriously though it is very easy to assemble and the epitome of a well thought out practical piece of equipment.

Collapsing down for storage in a small area, the Master Precision Upright Garment Steamer is easily adjusted to take a variety of lengths of clothing, bed linen and curtains. Once filled with water, it takes just 45 seconds to reach operating temperature and then you will begin to see the creases just drop away. If you need to refill it whilst in use, the water tank is detachable. Once filled it is quite heavy but it is on wheels, so it’s simple to manoeuvre.

It comes provided with three attachments, one for instant trouser creases, one to open the weave of heavier fabrics and another to enable good steam distribution and elimination of water marks. So, say goodbye to concerns about burning your fabrics on your iron and invest in one of these; worth every penny.

This is brilliant! Very quick to put together and even quicker to start using. Once filled it is heavy to move around but it is on wheels which helps. Find a location that gives you room and access to everything you need and you can rapidly fire through the laundry. Even the most wrinkled items take only a few minutes to smooth out. Saves hauling out the ironing board. The variety of heads gives plenty of steaming options. (if there was a storage bag/ facility this would be the best invention).
