Mower arrived on time and was easy to put together and the first cut of the grass with it is very good. Using the mower is also easy and being lightweight helps.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersMy flymo power compact 400 gave up the ghost after 25+ years service. I did my homework, reading reviews and noting this mower was Amazon’s choice for flymo lawnmowers, a make I have always trusted. The only drawback I could see was that it looked a little narrow, the width of 36 cm being 4 cm less than the 400.
However, in use it has proved to be faster to get the job done and it is definitely lighter, which I appreciate being 72 years old. Being smaller and lighter, it is more manoeuvrable and less effort to push.
You have to do some self assembly, but it’s nothing, the main problem getting the two halves of the grass collector to marry up.Took about 15 minutes, tops.
all said, I look forward to another 25 years of easy grass cutting..

Easy to put together, the wheels make it light to use no pushing and pulling like a hover mower, powerfully motor, cuts long grass well, large grass box, handle folds to save space, it makes mowing easier and quicker great buy.

… I found a bit of silicone grease on the tabs helped here. Up and running in about 1/2 hour and a decent cut.

Great little Mower, the 1500w motor helps tackle slightly overgrown lawns with ease. Previously had a 1300w that would have struggled. Good for small to medium size lawns. Gives a lovely cut to the lawn leaving a nice finish.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI am a 72 year old woman and found it really easy to assemble. Not sure why some say the grass box is flimsy. I suspect they are not putting it together properly as I find it quite solid…also easy to remove and empty and put back. I am so pleased with this mower. Grass had got really long and mower went through it like a hot knife through butter. Not too heavy either. It is going to be so easy to maintain lawn now.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’d previously only used hover mowers but this is so much better. The wheels make pushing it so much easier!

We’ve got quite a big grass area and this makes it much quicker to mow. Even if the grass has been left to grow long, it cuts well. Large capacity box means fewer trips to the compost bin/green waste and it’s easy to see when the box is full. Our ground is a bit uneven too, but again no problems.

Cutting height adjustment is really easy too.

I was a bit concerned it was too ‘plasticky’ and might not be robust enough, but no worries there either.

Can thoroughly recommend and wish I’d bought it years ago.

I’ve only used it once, but so far so good. Was easy to ensemble, didn’t take very long to do so.
I got it at sale price and I think it was a fair price, I personally wouldn’t pay the RRP (recommended retail price).
The area I was mowing wasn’t huge, but is a fair size lawn about 75m square give or take and I needed to empty the grass catcher three times baring in mind the lawn was quite long, which I didn’t think was too bad.
In summary it does the job I need it to for a price I was happy with.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAs soon as I unpacked this and gave it a whirl Injust had to write a review, the device is really easy to assemble I had mine up and running in 10 minutes, with the blade adjustment set to the lowest I went ahead and powered it up, I must say compared to my old flymo I found this so much easyer to manoeuvre and work, it was lighter and my more powerful, I instantly noticed the lovely fine finish to my lawn, it gets right to the edges but not completely but enough so that I don’t need to use my edge trimmer as often as before, my lawn looks like a putting Green now compared with the results of my old mower, well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing lawnmower!

I bought the lawn mower with the strimmer. The lawn mower was easy to put together and did a decent job. The strimmer however was quite short in my opinion. Required a lot of bending amd now I’ve done my back in.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersEasy to assemble, I read the reviews, some people were not happy with the grass box, saying it was a bit flimsy. When I assembled the grass box, it seemed as the reviews were correct, how ever I found that I was not clicking the pieces together firmly enough. then it was ok. You can always glue it if you still think the assembly is to flimsy. Can be a bit tricky in attaching it to the mover and needs some fiddling hence reason for 4 stars overall.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot this as a replacement for my 20 year old Flymo 360 Ventura that was extremely well made but finally packed up on me. Read the reviews and this seemed the best replacement for a reasonable price. It seemed a bit cheap and plastic when it arrived and the assembly of the grass box was a bit like an airfix kit but once assembled I was surprised how light and efficient it was at cutting the grass. Performs very well. Will have to wait to see if it lasts as long as my old Flymo.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe Flymo Speedi-Mo 360VC Electric Rotary Lawn Mower offers an efficient solution for keeping your lawn well-maintained. With its powerful 1500W motor and 36cm cutting width, it delivers a satisfactory cutting performance, ensuring a neat and tidy lawn. The 40 L grass box provides ample capacity for collecting clippings, reducing the need for frequent emptying. The electric operation eliminates the hassle of dealing with fuel and oil, making it convenient and eco-friendly. However, while the mower gets the job done, there are a few areas where it falls short. One aspect that could be improved is its maneuverability. The mower feels a bit heavy and can be a bit cumbersome to maneuver around obstacles. Additionally, some users have reported issues with the grass box filling up quickly, requiring frequent stops to empty it. Overall, the Flymo Speedi-Mo 360VC Electric Rotary Lawn Mower is a decent choice for regular lawn maintenance, but it could benefit from enhancements in terms of maneuverability and grass box capacity.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersHave been looking for a replacement mower as my 8 year old Bosch has given up the ghost. Saw this Flymo Speedi-Mo 360C at a reduced price and took the plunge. The construction of the grass box is a little fidly and the instructions are not that helpful but look at how it goes together and you will soon have it clicked together. Have used the mower for the first time today. It is much more powerful than my previous mower and has a larger blade and grass box so it saved me time. The motor is a lot quieter than I was expecting and I did not feel uncomfortable cutting the grass at 7pm. The mower does feel a little heavy but once you start it up, it is very easy to manoeuvre around and the cord is a good length and the handy hook in the middle of the handle means there is less need to keep moving the cord from side to side. Overall I am very happy with this new mower and would recommend it for medium gardens.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersA course in crocodile wrestling might be good preparation for the assembling of the cuttings bin, which comes as 3 pieces of moulded plastic (two sides plus a lid). Getting the front of the lid to click into place was the hardest part of the exercise.

It is a light mower that if released tilts back under the weight of a full cuttings bin. However, this lightness helps for the ease of lifting the machine.

The power lead, instead of being kink free, comes with ‘bends’ that make tangling and tripping more likely than would otherwise be the case. Also, the start button requires more pressure to activate than I was used to with my previous mowers.

On the plus side, the mower tolerates long grass and is very reasonably priced, in my view.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersAt nearing 67 I notice bits of me are wearing out or falling off – and the same goes for the mowers I’ve used over the years. Most have been Flymos in various forms because I like the brand and, usually, they’re lightweight. But they are not always up to the demands of the garden, quite long , on different levels, hazards to avoid (monkey puzzle tree, pyracantha, Ma’s favourite bulbs, hedgehog houses and more). When the motor on the last packed up on its first outing this year I went for something tougher, more robust, and hopefully resilient. This has more oomph under its belt , a more powerful motor, and while the wing nuts were a bit fiddly (they take a while to engage so persevere) and the blasted grass box in three parts proved a bit of a trial for arthritic fingers and developing depuytrens contracture, and kept falling off until I twigged where it was supposed to fit, it all fell into place. This time in one glorious and, for me, quite heavy mower. I like the fact the grass box holds far more than the last mower did, and that it doesn’t fall apart when I lug it off to the compost bin. It’s not quite as easy to upturn and clean as the last – but again the last was much smaller and lighter. I LOVE the ease with which I can adjust the cutting length and the choice. It’s wonderfully accessible – I don’t I ever figured out how to adjust it on two previous Flymos or was frightened at my hand’s proximity to the blade. The instructions are a bit meh. Lots of flying screws and other things but the really good news is most of the mower is already assembled. It’s just a matter of getting the handle into place , the blasted wing nuts to finally connect and engage, and remembering to adjust the height – I forgot I’d shrunk over the years. If you can be bothered , fold it all away for the next un-rainy day. If you’ve got the space leave it assembled but remove the grass box. If you’ve clipped it all together it will slide into place on the next venture out. As for the cut – it’s pretty good. Not quite as easy to manouevre as the smaller models but you gain far more with the impressive span of the cut. It covers far more ground but you’ve just to lug it a bit.

Last two mowers were Spear & Jackson and I find this Flymo easier to handle, sharper blades, smoother management overall. Really impressed for the price. Mowing was a pleasure today – it’s usually such a chore.

I had a Flymo Chevron which had done many years of service, which died. I purchased this as a replacement.

It was relatively easy to put together and is really lightweight.

I’ve used it for the first time today. The grass box doesn’t catch all the grass (even when under half full), the motor makes a strange noise as it turns off (akin to a sea gull), and needs both sides of the handle to be pressed to turn on.

I’m not sure I’ll get stripes as I did with the Chevron.

    Time will tell!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI needed a mower for the autumn to cut my sloping front lawn that gets muddy with worm casts and the heavy motor mower turns it into a mud patch. I previosly tried a Flymo hover mower but as the grass box filled up the cut height reduced and the lawn still turned to mud in places. I purchased the Flymo Speedi-Mo 360C with limited expectations but it is excellent. Powerful, very lightweight and therefore easy to manouvre. Handles a wet lawn with worm casts very well without leaving a muddy mess. Cuts well and the cut height adjustment is straight forward. As for durabilty that is yet to be tested but I am hopeful it will hold up for a few years.

The one we got was a heavily discounted “acceptable” condition used offer, which came missing one nut for the handle, totally fine considering the discount.

It is effective, powerful, and lightweight.

The one gripe I have is with the handle on the hopper, which is loose and pops out far too easily to be usable; but that could also be part of the reason we got this for cheap, and it’s a very small inconvenience.

This purchase was my second of this particular model – the previous one expired with a smoking motor yesterday after the best part of five mowing seasons/years. Not great but seems par for the course given recent past experience with certain more expensive German lawn mowers which had similar, if not even less, “longevity”.
Hey, ho, for less than 100 it is a great product. No roller but does leave nice stripes for a day or two after cutting. Lightweight, picks up the cuttings in the big box and easy to clean.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersReally pleased with this mower. I was using a Flymo before and it was good, although increasingly strenuous to cut the grass. So I decided to move to wheeled mower. I bought this after reading the reviews and I’m really pleased. It’s easy to assemble and gives a great cut – the deck is just wider than the wheels so you can get nice and tight to walls etc. It picks up the grass well too with minimal thrown out, so no need to use clippers around the edge of the grass now and no need to vacuum up after. And I cut the grass in half the time with a quarter of the effort. Well pleased!

I purchased this mower in April during an Amazon Warehouse promotion. It was described as “used – very good”. When the large box arrived there was no damage to the box itself. On opening the box the mower itself was in pristine condition, and had obviously never been used. The two sections of the grass box were still in their clear plastic bags, and again were brand new. The instructions, and warranty card were all present.

However, when I came to assemble the mower, I realised that the fixing kit for the handle was missing. I contacted Amazon via their online chat, and the assistant was very helpful. He said I could either return the mower, or have a partial refund. As the mower appeared otherwise perfect (and I had got it for a good deal), I opted for a partial refund. I used this to buy the fixing kit from Amazon. This arrived quickly, and I was then able to assemble the handle. What I hadn’t realised at the time, was that the handle off the grass box, and the plastic “lip” were also missing.

Despite searching online, I have failed to locate a handle for the grassbox, so have managed to attach it by just holding the box on either side, and sliding it into position. This does make things a little awkward.

Aside from this, the mower itself performs very well. It is lightweight and easy to handle. The blade setting is easy to adjust, and it performs much better than my previous Bosch mower.

The fact that parts were missing does not detract from the fact I am very pleased with this mower. When I first contacted Amazon, they were quick to help, so I cannot fault their Customer Service.

I would definitely recommend this mower.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe first season I used this my lawn looked better than it had for some time.
I dont know why but this year it is not looking so good, the grass looks what I can only describe as twisted as thought the mower is making a small crop type circle before it cuts the grass off.
The design of the operating pull switch is not the best in its placement, it is awkward to keep pulled into the handle and can result in soreness of the area of the hand between thumb and fingers as this area of the hand has to grip the handle.
Removal of the grassbox has also not been thought through, left hand through the handle to remove it from the mower and then drop the box and reach under the handle to take it away from the mower.
Emptying the grass box is not simple, you have to rotate it through many angles to get the contents to fall out and then before refitting it to the mower you have to clear the grass off the chute the grassbox sits on.
The grove below the grassbox flap also fills up with debris as does the indentation in the top of the mower below the main carry handle.
All in all not a bad mower but some design features are poor and have not been thought through.
I expected better from this manufacturer, it’s not as though they have just entered the grass cutting market.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAssembly wasn’t too bad. Not too many parts, just take the time to review where what goes where first. The basket seemed a bit flimsy but was sturdy enough once fully built. Height adjusts easily and the handle is long enough for tall people. The cut was not perfect but good enough considering how uneven my lawn is. First time use was on very long, slightly damp grass, Plenty of power and the mowers motor didn’t falter at all. The basket capacity is also really good. Just two loads as opposed to the four I used to have with a hover mower. Quite heavy though. Anyone with strength or mobility issues should probably go for a smaller model. Overall, happy with the product.

Bought this as a replacement to my BOSCH mower as I thought I’d try a more powerful motor and boy does this one deliver. The 1500w motor provides enough power to tackle the most stubborn of lawns, and trust me mine is a headache to mow at times!

I have had this a few months but only used recently for the first cut. Much lighter than my last flymo (which is 10 years old and still going but was ageing) so I gave that one away. So the brand is good. They last. Assembly was tricky. I had to go on utube for instructions. It is much easier to manoeuvre than my last one and super quick.

It feels a bit more flimsy than my last lawn over so we will see. My only gripe is the grass collection box that I find is trickier to detach and empty and not as sturdy. A bit more of awkward to remove and harder on my back (I have some back problems) but I managed. That’s an older persons point of view. Overall would recommend, easier to store and that’s a big plus as it is neat in the shed.

This is a good mower for a medium size lawn. It is not too heavy to lift on to my raised lawn, gives a good size cut and seems sturdy. The grassbox was a bit fiddly to assemble, but is large and doesn’t need emptying
very often. It is very easy to change the cutting height but doesn’t have a roller, so won’t give stripes.

We needed a new mower to replace a troublesome petrol version. Looked at battery options on the market and decided that their limited run times between charges and high prices made them very unattractive compared with this offering.
OK. so this mower has a power cord, but it really isn’t that difficult to trail that behind you as you progress up and down your lawn. And since its plugged in you can mow for as long as your garden requires.
Grass collection box is a good size at 40L, but it is supplied in several parts that have to be juggled during the assembly process. You may need an extra pair of hands, so be prepared to seek assistance from your spouse or a neighbour.

  55. Anonymous says:

Assembly is relatively straightforward Tip: take care when to attached lip when assembling basket.
Cut height adjuster is very easy to use
The safety grip has to be fully against handle during operation and even a tiny fraction of an inch gap will cause mower to stop. My previous mower (Bosch) was less sensitive but just as safe (the lever could move about a quarter of an inch away from handle without stopping) and this made turning the machine during cutting easier.
There is no cable rack and you simply have to invent how to wind it round the handle. My old Bosch did have a couple of hooks one of which turned for easy release of wound cable. a quid on the price could have solved that shortcoming.

He assembled it quickly & easily & seemed happy with it and said it had really good long cable & that he liked the handle on the top of it to make it easier to carry. He gave it a quick go & it seemed to be good but didn’t need to do a mow at that point.

Got a pretty large lawn and this little beauty tackles it with ease. Height settings are very useful and easy to use. Hold a good quantity of grass in the basket. All in all very good value for the money.

This is a really good mower I have a huge lawn and this takes it on with no problems. The different heights gives you a choice of cut length and the collecting box is really easy to empty. I love it and have created some lovely stripes lol

All good but wheels adjustment handle is about to break off any moment so once you got the height do not change Ever! You will not get refund or any assistance if that happens.

Slightly awkward to assemble, particularly the grass box, but once together it’s a great little mower. Easy to manoeuvre and relatively quiet. Cuts well with plenty of options for blade depth.

I’ve always been a hover mower fan but in the last 6 years I’ve gone through 3 of them. Each and everyone of them has had the motor blow on them straight after the warranty had ran out on them.
So I’ve decided to try a rotary on the basis that the motor only cuts the grass and does not have to suck it up like a hover mower or create that cushion of air on which to cut the grass.
Any way this rotary is so much better than I thought, cutting the grass is easier and quicker and it picks up a good amount of grass. The only down side that I’ve found is that the grass box fills up much faster than expected, and does not pick up as much grass as the hover mower did. However that said Im still impressed with the finish cut and the fact it cuts better and I’m able to do the job in less time than before means it’s a winner in my book.

This is a nice, small, very good value lightweight mower. Easy to assemble. Various cutting heights.
Being critical, the only small issues holding back a 5 star review are the lead length, which ideally would be a few of metres longer, and cable tidy. There are no hooking points to neatly store the cable. Otherwise, it cuts well, leaves neat lines and is much lighter than my last mower. A very good buy.

Really pleased with this mower. I have a huge back garden and was worried it might not be powerful enough. But with the height adjuster it tackled my overgrown grass with ease.

I had another Flymo of this model, maybe slightly larger but pretty much the same, and it lasted 14 years. I’ve used this new one a couple of times and it seems fine. Easy assembly. Minor point maybe for some- the cable on the new machine is a couple of metres shorter than the old machine but that might be a scaling difference between model sizes.

Coped with a completely overgrown garden on the higher setting and then cut to a really nice length on the lower setting. Cuttings bin is very useful. Very east to manoeuvre. Light and easy to store. Very impressed indeed.

Cuts very well in wide strips. It has a large grass box which saves time on not having to back and forwards emptying the box after cutting a relatively small number of strips.I cut my grass in half the time that it usually took.

I have bought this for my daughter for Christmas so can’t write about that, but we have one the same and it is still going after 8years. So must be good value for money.

Good mower. 3 settings and does the job. Holds decent amount of crass cuttings. Easy to change height settings on the side. Lead is very long. So much in fact I caught it slightly going down garden mowing because there’s that much. Highly recommended though.

After some wildly conflicting reviews I purchased this item to replace my old mower (also a Flymo).
I found it easy to assemble and use. It cuts and collects the grass very well and I noted how it picks up leaves far better than my old mower.
There’s several blade settings and it gets close to the edges meaning there’s less need to strim.
Also, no grass ever blows out of the machine so I’m saving time brushing up after use.
It’s a bit heavy to push around and the grass box is slightly awkward to remove/replace but they are minor gripes. Good, solid piece of kit.

I used to use one which is equipped with battery, but the power won’t last long. I have to charge it every 15 minutes. This one is good enough for my garden. Very easy and very powerful to use.

Oh wow my lawn has never looked so good. The box compressed the grass so do not have to empty too often, no longer have to are in edges as cuts right to the edge. The instructions for assembly are a bit bad I just followed the pictures and it only took a few minutes to put together. Very easy to use and to change the cutting height.

Really pleased with this mower; it was easier to put together than I thought after reading earlier reviews, it made a lovely job of our lawn with nice stripes and a big collection box meant I only had to empty once whilst using and my lawn is quite large.

Huge improvement on my 11yr old cheapest in the shop mower. Wider blade, bigger collection box, more choices for height adjustment, cuts the grass well without tearing and has halved the time taken to cut my 100 sq metre back lawn. If you know what a mower should look like it doesn’t take long to attach the handles together and snap together the grass box which is the only fiddly bit.

Arrived on time and in robust packaging. Was easy to assemble although a little fiddly but nothing to be concerned about. Used it twice and it cuts really well and much better than my last hover mower. I’ve only used it twice but so far I’m very pleased with the results. My lawns are not bowling green flat and copes well with the uneven surface. To date no complaints.

I am very happy with it. Now can cutt grass often. It works fine. Moter isn’t powerful so it may stuck if grass length is bigger. You have to stop and help to clear the grass before star agai

The build is much flimsier than my old Flymo. The metal tubing of the handle is smaller gauge and the on/off bars are small and not firm when pressed, so while mowing, the machine will suddenly turn off. The cable is thinner too. The grass box is a miracle of flimsiness. But it does the job. At the moment. The old grass box would have survived a nuclear explosion. This one will collapse if the cat sits on it. There is no roller, so no stripes. The main plus points are: it mows the grass adequately, and it is lighter than my old Flymo – which went out with a bang after at least 12 years of service.

as there were only diagrams with this and not step by step guide, I found it difficult to put together. Still havent been able to fold handles down flat for storing unless all screws are undone. However its very efficient and grass looks nice.

Arrived yesterday and took about 15 mins to assemble.
First cut went really well, this was bought to replace a very old Flymo 340 which has served me well for 15 years, but finally conked out last week.
This mower is really light and easy to manoeuvre, cuts right to the edge of the mower and storage compartment has good capacity.
The only thing stopping me from giving a 5 star review is the cable, it seems to be a little short (certainly shorter than my previous mower) and there is no easy way to store the cable on the mower.
Nonetheless, I would recommend this, particularly at this price!

After my third Bosche mower needed replacing I decided on this as a fairly cheap mower to bridge the gap until battery powered mowers improve enough to be feasible for my use.
While it doesn’t feel the most strongly constructed of mowers, this allows it to have a light weight for manouvering etc.
The motor feels way more powerful than that in my previous mowers and it was able to deal with grass which was about a foot long and wet.
The grass collection is very good. While the collection box isn’t the largest in the world, this mower can really cram it in there so you’re not spending half your mowing time emptying the thing (by the way, it’s definitely worth the extra 1 or so to get the version with a viewing window.)
Height adjustment is very simple, but then that’s fairly standard nowadays.

All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this mower, it’s far better than its relatively low price would suggest.
