I really like this , was sceptical about buying and really struggled at first and felt scared of it but once I got the technique it’s been a lifesaver , did huge bed in minutes , I think I’ll do my flower beds every year
A bit cautious about the cable so you have to be careful
I am a small woman and even I could manage but takes upper body strength

Great machine, takes a minute to get use to, I have a big garden rotavated the whole lot, didn’t take long to do, very pleased with it!

Dug out two Trenches in my Poly Tunnel, new the ground was full of bricks and concrete but it still coped after removing jammed items, after a few goes over the same bit the ground was fairly nice, piece of cake to assemble…..would recommend if your ground is just dirt…

This machine is great my garden was over grown needed to dig it over for new turf took about 2 hours and it was done saved hours of back breaking digging you need a strong grip as the machine will jump and pull at you but it does a perfect job.

    Have a strong grip

Liked the machine as it saved me hours of digging in my vegetable plot which has been neglected recently.

i used it to dig up a lawn to plant a wildflower meadow and it was hard work but this thing handled it well. i give it 5/5 out the box and will report back if there’s any change in my opinion.

It replaced an older petrol driven tiller and it did a good job. It was fairly straightforward to assemble and it was a little heavy and cumbersome to take to the bottom of the garden. When I powered it up it can run away a little. However, it proved a willing workhorse and it tilled over the vegetable plot in about ten minutes. Certainly much easier than digging it over with a fork! It got my seal of approval!

Had to drill a hole to fit the handle. Please check your quality control. Other than that good strong unit not used yet but pretty sure it will work well. Good long lead.

Surprisingly powerful for the price – took no time at all to turn over a large area of heavy clay soil.

Really powerful and doesnt stop for anything. It breaks up even hardened sun baked soil eventually. its fast, very lightweight and simple to use. The 2 handles on these things are a MUST!

This arrived as expected, and I assembled it with no issues. After reading the instructions I used the machine to dig up my garden, some of which was clay based and hard, also with buried bits of old brick – the machine handled it all well and I have now laid the new lawn. Whilst light the machine does pack a punch, when hitting debris (suck as buried bricks) it did bounce around a bit, but it was managable.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy to use
    Value for money
Anyone who gives this rotovator a bad review need to go back to digging with a spade then you might think again
    Brilliant machine
    10/10
Easy to assemble, and moves with ease.

Liked – Very easy to assemble and light to carry.
Suprised – It easily worked through existing beds but it also steadily worked its way through parts of a compacted 25 year old lawn on clay based soil. I also tested a section where I had loosened the bulk lawn up with a fork and this was processed easily.
Don’t like – nowhere to store the quite long cable

It’s a great piece of equipment. It was not for me as I have back and knee problems. Makes your job very much easier.

I was thinking of hireing a rotavator but the cost would have been 50per day, plus collecting and returning it. Then the cost of the fuel and getting it to start!!!.
I looked up the second hand ones but then I saw this Hyundai one, new,at about the same price as for a second hand one.
I read the reviews of them and decided to purchase one.
It was so easy to put together, about 5 minutes. It looks very well made.
I wanted it to turn over what had been a lawn for many years. It was in a very poor state, full of weeds and bare patches. The area is about 30 x15 feet.It took me about 75minutes ,with a rest inbetween( as I am 80+) .
It is very powerful and you have to really hold it firmly,it tends to bounce when you get to a large tuft of grass or weed.
I am very pleased with it and would highly recommend this rotavator. The only thing that I would have liked would have been a speed controller as when you pull the trigger it is full power from the off.I think that you should be fit to use it.

Brilliant rotavator, easy to use but why not two speeds.
It is flat out and I truly feel if I stood still I would reach my son in Sydney Australia.
You need strong arms and determination to only turn over the soil needed

Easy to assemble. Powerful piece of kit. Used to dig over 3 vegetable patches that hadn’t been worked for over 4 years. All dug to a depth of 10″ leaving a fine tithe. Would have taken me all day with a spade. Using this garden tiller, job done in 30 minutes including making a cup of tea!!

This machine is very powerful and does the job it’s intended for. My husband wasn’t ready for the power and it nearly took off with him. . Just be aware of this. It’s no flimsy toy but a dirt crunching power machine.

I was in a dilemma as to whether to hire or buy. Despite hiring looking cheaper, after adding insurance, delivery/collection & petrol etc the costs rose to over 150 and at the end of it you hand it back.
So I took a chance and bought this Hyundai rotavator and its was a real surprise as to how good it was.
You will need to go over the ground a few times, but the ground I was rotavating was rock hard and full of stones. It handled this brilliantly and at the end of it all I still have a rotavator to use at a later date.
    Cannot recommend this product enough.

I bought this to turn over hard soil in a small back garden. Easy to assemble and can fold afterwards for storage. I was a bit nervous before switching it on for the first time in case it jumped out of my hands. You must hold with both hands when you turn it on as it can bounce around a wee bit depending on the hardness of the soil. It can throw soil and stones backwards towards your legs so wear wellies to protect your shins. I hit some small tree roots and it didn’t like it! I went over the soil slowly and stopped to pick up any stones that had came to the surface then carried on. Going over the soil twice was enough for me then a quick rake over and I was done. Just wear protective glasses, gloves and wellies and you should be fine. I stayed away from cement and hard ground as it would be too dangerous if you hit it with the metal blades.

Bought this tiller with some trepidation, as I didn’t want an expensive petrol driven one taking up a lot of space, but wasn’t sure whether it would be up to my needs. I have used it to create five new beds in an area covered by hard old turf and quite stony ground. It did the job throwing out pieces of rock up to large palm size with no damage to the blades of the tiller. It stores conveniently, hanging on a wall in the shed, and is light enough to carry easily to where I want to use it.

Needed to create some level areas on a sloping garden covered with grass and roots from removed bushes. Wow, digging was very hard and slow, then I bought this and zapped through all of the roots and had a level patch of ground that I could just rake the plant remains from.

Reasonable price, usual quick delivery, easy to assemble, is of robust construction for domestic use. Has coped with 30 plus square metres of compacted clay soil to a depth of 15cm (so far, I’ve got 50-60 more to do). Requires some arm strength but manoeuvres ok. I’m very pleased with this tool and would recommend it to someone with similar needs.

I had a Mantis petrol tiller for a good few years but it got somewhat neglected of late and needed a major overhaul, not cheap, so bought the electric Hyundai and I’m very pleased I did. No starting problems, little maintenance needed, just plug in and go. Performance wise it’s every bit as good as the Mantis, in fact in some respects better. It is more powerful at 1050 watts, (the Mantis is around 750watts), it didn’t once get jammed with stones and didn’t jump around as much as the Mantis. If you’re old and decrepit like me and can’t manage manual digging with a spade I can thoroughly recommend it. NOTE. you should ignore the one star rant about it not having wheels, you don’t need wheels, they could be more of a nuisance than a help I imagine.

Works well, with plenty of power. Does the job. Negative point 10m cable to short needed to be 20m . Hence it dropped a star on easy to use, extension cable had to be used.

3rd bit of recent Hyundai gear- I am a convert having the petrol chainsaw and multi tools. First use of this yesterday.
Very impressed with this little tool. Went through a fairly large weed strewn area fast- ivy roots get wrapped around the blades- as they would with any similar tool but it cuts through.

Save hours/ days of backbreaking turning work.

The ground was very hard packed so I was expecting lower effectiveness .

    Great value
