Arrived 2 DAYS EARLY in a scruffy box which made me think I was getting a customer return, however everything inside looked ok.
I found the assembly really difficult, particurly fitting the Front Powerhandle onto its housing, I did NOT EXPECT to have to use considerable force to get it on, in fact I had to look up a You Tube video to confirm that what I was doing would not snap it. The pictogram instructions are useless and confusing.

HAVING SAID ALL THAT I got the machine assembled and out to the garden today. Very impressive even with my previously bought 1.3 Ah battery. Lightweight fast and a pleasure to use

I have pretty much the whole worx range, well working on getting the entire tools.

The hedge trimmer ran all day cutting hedges back, to thick stuff. Ita doesn’t feel or sound powerful but does a great job and at the price I paid 40 it was a steal.

    I recommend. 5 stars.

Just got these today on an Amazon offer 49.99 I already have 2 worx battery’s for my strimmer so bought the bare unit . I’ve lightly trimmed a 15 mtr long box hedge and 3 mtr high ivy on a wall probably 10 mtrs long . Battery still fine. I was a little sceptical about the power out of these battery hedge cutters. They are obsoletely fine for me. So all in all I’m very happy with my purchase.

I’ve low hedging around the house. These work nicely to trim them once or twice a year.
I’ve other Worx products so can swap the batteries which is handy, but one battery gets the job done for what I need and a lot quicker than shears.
They would be less powerful than a petrol trimmer, but powerful enough for what I need and a lot lighter than a petrol one.
    Well pleased in conclusio

I love this! I have the lawn mower and trimmer but needed a hedge trimmer. This uses the same batteries, (obvs) but the speed that I cut the hedge is amazing! It was a bit overgrown but it was no match for this machine. As the hedge is taller than me I always struggle to cut the top but not a problem with this light machine! I even went looking around the garden trying to find more things to cut and I hate gardening!
    Love it!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAnother great product from Worx! This review is written using my corded Black and Decker hedge trimmer for comparison and I have to say, the Worx wins hands down!
Lightweight, ergonomic and well balanced (with a 5mAh battery installed), you can’t go wrong. This make swift work of a large privet hedge and 3 medium conifers and only lost 1 bar of charge.
Great value for money – this should be part of your gardening toolki

Fantastic price considering you also get 2 20v batteries and they alone sell for 30+ each I don’t know how long I will get from a battery yet but I’m guessing 10 to 15 minutes from each battery and that’s plenty long enough I already have another 5 batterys that all fit due to power share
There built quality is excellent too
And for those of you that needs a longer battery life should maybe think about a petrol hedge trimmer because you must have one hell of a hedge

Battery goes for maybe 40-50 minutes ,so I would recommend to have a second one ,I bought a grass trimmer too and batteries are interchangeable so used one while charging the other battery… very light, cuts very well, not worse like wired or petrol but much lighter and easy to use.
    Love it!

The hedge trimmer is powerful, lightweight and easily assembled. Ideal for a lady pensioner with unruly hedges to control. My hydro shot saves endless trips from my water butt and it’s battery pack saved me 50 when I got the hedge trimmer ‘bare’! Great!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersGot this at the weekend and I am really impressed.
When I opened up the box I was slightly disappointed to see how small the batteries are. Thought they wouldn’t last 5 mins. Pleased to say they lasted far, far longer than I thought. I’ve loads of hedges and I hadn’t trimmed them for ages. This cut through them no bother and I’d still plenty of charge left on the second battery at the end of the day. It’s nice and light too with good balance.
Some sort of battery indicator (indicating how much charge there is) would have been nice on the charger.

Very light and manoeuvreable – no cable to manage or cut! Second battery a great addition – it can be charging while you’re using the first one to cut with.

I am very impressed with this hedge trimmer. We have a garden spanning around half an acre and have a lot of hedge with a mix of hazel, blackthawn, hawthorn and evergreen. The hedge trimmer dealt with it all. It is light which means I could use it for a couple of hours without getting tired arms. The battery lasts a long time so no need to keep swapping batteries. I would highly recommend it.

Was delayed, which was a problem because I needed the batteries for a sander and a strummer that I had also bought.
Good hedge trimmer. Easy to use, and efficient. The batteries last long enough to do a couple of hedges, and some sanding and some strimming on one charge. Very pleased, eventually.

Pretty light cuts ok although blade speed a bit slow compared to an electric one trims the hedge and bushes ok.
So good value if like me you get fed up of having one eye on the power cord.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersThis is a lovely lightweight little trimmer. Will take larger A/h battery too, but not needed. I did a really long hedge with provided 1.5Ah.
Do not confuse it with a hedge cutter if that is what you want though; you will be most disappointed!
It is just capable of trimming those new shoots that have sprung up since you gave the hedge a good cut a few weeks ago, – nothing more.
It will cut a little bit thicker piece of say privet – provided that you single out the bits that you want to cut one at a time.
If you are used to using a proper hedge cutter, then this can get annoying even when trimming new shoots because if you go low enough to catch the top of the hedge at all, the thing snags. It doesn’t stop necessarily, just ‘catches’ and stops your travel across the hedge. Annoying.
Having said that, it does cut the new growth; (I used on hawthorne and privet). And its ideally suited for shaping soft bushes (again thin or soft growths). Keep trimming often and it will do the job. Do hedges with a big cutter say twice a year and trim in between times. I shall do that, – it is a decent lightweight trimmer, I’m not decrying it.
If that is what you want in an appliance, this is easy to hold and use.
In fact as per the title above; it does what the Worx 801E shrub/grass shear/pruner ought to do (but cannot) – at very little more cost. (Get a cheap Worx strimmer for the grass part, – those are ace).

I bought this as I already have a couple of Worx power tools which I am very happy with. Its very light to use and fine for annual tidying up the fir trees and bushes which is what I wanted it for. So far very pleased. It’s doesn’t feel as robust as my other heavier Black and Decker but is perfect for the relatively light use I wanted it fo

Very lightweight and easy to use. The battery life is good and I managed to trim 2 large bushes at the front of our house without running out of power. I also own the strimmer and plunge saw from WORX and I have had no issues with any of them and I love the fact you can chop and change the batteries. I would recommend any WORX product.

Not a bad bit of kit.
Won’t fell trees or hack it’s way through branches thicker than your index finger. But will make light work of bushes and thinner branches.

Ordered a 46cm blade but got delivered a 44cm blade. Informed Amazon, who were very willing to exchange but I actually found the 2cm unnoticeable for the small hedge and bush I have.. So, after thinking size matters, I found as usual in life, it’s the quality and the the way you use it counts.Nice bit of kit.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersPurchased for garden clean up jobs. Does the job fine. 2x batteries really useful and I had other Worx products so plenty of batteries to keep me going. But bear in mind they do take a long time to recharge. Most frustrating thing is registering on Work site. As per other reviews the WG261E and WG261E.1 codes are not recognised. I e-mailed the details to support and told them to accept this as proof of purchase and registration for 3yr warranty. Waiting to hear back from them.

Lightweight and easy to use trimmer. Cuts very well and the two batteries supplied are sufficient for my use, although I have also bought the strimmer and lawn mower so have spare interchangeable batteries. Same problem as other buyer in attempting to register the extended warranty as website does not recognise the model number.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersExcellent lightweight trimmer – purchased via Amazon Warehouse so good price, I have a number of Worxs tools so happy with the quality of the brand, and have a number of larger batteries and a fast charger.

This trimmer handles the fresh growth on our various shrubs and bushes easily, far easier and tidier than hand shears! Easy to use and the safety features work well. I am using with larger 4ah batteries which I already owned so no idea on the life of the supplied batteries (1.5ah) but I trimmed all I needed to and then used same battery on Worxs strimmer and still plenty of life left in it. Ideal for our needs – no long hedges to do or anything like that, just approx six shrubs & bushes, so did not want anything too big, and easy to get out to tidy a patch up without the bother of extension leads etc.

Like other reviewers I found that the online warranty system would not accept the model number, however I contacted Worx via their Facebook page and they gave me customerservice @ worxtools . com to contact and they have confirmed the same day the warranty extension in the form of the email you normally get when you register online, so mine is covered until August 2022 for one purchased August 2019. No explanation as to what the problem is but happy that warranty is extended and they were very quick to respond both on Facebook & via email. NOTE does not show up on the registered tool list on the online, which is a shame. (Don’t try the sales@ email address as I just got an auto respond email indicating that not been received – or that is what Google translate from the Chinese words said!)

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is a surpriingly useful little hedge trimmer..Don`t expect to cut through heavy branches/ tough stems..use a proper hedge trimmer, petrol or mains..this trimmer is very light but easily cuts brambles and overgrown bushes.
should be ok for general tidying up of bushes hedges etc.
Only problem is in trying to register the product for warranty..this model doesn`t appear exist..
At present waiting for Worx to reply to my email..

The WG261E.1 hedge timmer is great, easy to handle (and no cord to slice through!.) However I have been unable to extend the warranty to three years as the model number is not recognised on Worx registration page, despite it being advertised on their website. Worx Customer Service have not responded to attempts to contact them over the last couple of weeks to sort out the issue.
