This filament is on the firm side for TPU, but it works great if that’s what you need. It prints very easily, and you can produce some really nice looking prints. I use 228C at the nozzle and 0C on the print bed. 25mm/s for the first layer and 40mm/s for the rest. Good luck.
So I have a stock Ender 3 Pro, with a Bowden tube extruder. I’ve been hearing horror stories about tpu in bowden extruders. So I was a bit apprehensive buying a generic TPU with no know hardness. Well fear not! This stuff prints easy. Shore hardness feels to be roughly 90

The label on the spool says the nozzle temperature should be between 210 and 230 DegC. I printed at 200 for the first layer and 190 for subsequent layers with a bed at 50. It will string much more than other filaments necessitating the removal of z lift/hop and increasing retraction to 3mm. Compared to other much more flexible filaments I achieved a good result with a tiny amount of stringing.

lsst sich sehr einfach drucken! Sogar sttzstruktur ist kein Problem. Unbrechbar. Ab einer Kleinen Dicke auch nur schwer zu zerreissen.

Kleines erwhneswertes ABER ist die sehr glnzende Oberflche. kann sehr schn sein. Hat aber einen origniellen touch. mit 0.4er nozzle sind die Details fast zu gering fr das shiny finish.

S’imprime bien avec les rglages par dfaut du TPU.
J’ai Crealty CR10 Pro et j’ai eu des problmes d’avance du fil car la molette crante avait crase le filament qui est trs souple.
J’ai modifi l’axe qui maintient la bobine avec une solution roulement du site Thingiverse afin de supprimer la tension de droulement du fil et les problmes ont disparus.
Facile utiliser et prix trs correct. Le rendu est trs bon.
Wenn ihr ein weiches Filament sucht, dann habt ihr hier ein gutes gefunden. Ich habe meinem Sohn ein Armband ausgedruckt und es ist flexibel und haltbar.

Sono un hobbista della stampa 3d e per esigenze particolari dovevo acquistare un filamento TPU. Questo si rivelato economico e facile da stampare. Il prodotto arriva celophanato in una scatola, con un sacchetto a chiusura ermetica x riporlo dopo l’uso e con il capocorda ben ancorato. Al momento, OTTIMO!
PS: I miei parametri per la stampa sono stati: Stampante Geeetech i3 / Temperatura 230 / Piatto 50 / Velocit 50 mm/s
Das ist das erste TPU, das ich drucke. Ich habe es wie auf der Spule angegeben mit 220 Grad und kaltem Bett gedruckt; als Unterlage habe ich Abklebeband verwendet. Das hat problemlos funktioniert. Ich habe noch ein wenig Stringing, aber das lsst sich mit Slicer-Einstellungen vermutlich beheben.
Einziger kleiner Minuspunkt ist, dass aus der Packung irgendein schwarzes Zeugs gerieselt kam, das schwarze Striemen hinterlsst. Das sieht so aus, als wre bei der Herstellung die Spule oder die Verpackung mit irgendeinem Zwischenprodukt in Berhrung gekommen.
I found this pretty easy to print with. I’m using a direct drive 3D printer, so no issues dealing with a bowden setup. Overall, once I dialed in the settings for my printer, I got reasonable results. I’ve not fully mastered printing in TPU, but I did get some functional prints out of it. I found this to be a medium / firm TPU as compared to some others – it’s not super flexible, especially in thicker areas.

Essendo un assoluto neofita della stampa 3d FDM ero un po’ titubante dopo aver letto alcuni giudizi negativi. In realt, attenendomi ai dati riportati sula bobina ho effettuato delle ottime stampe fin dal primo tentativo. La temperatura che ho utilizzato di 230 per l’estrusore mentre il piatto di stampa va utilizzato non riscaldato. Utilizzo una elegoo neptune 2s.
Mein erstes TPU Filament, ich habe damit Handyhllen gedruckt, und noch ein Paar Kleinigkeiten dachte eigentlich das es mehr Fden ziehen wrde, aber nein mit den richtigen einstellungen ein wunderbares Filament absolut zu empfehlen. Top Qualitt gut eingepackt, mit zustzlicher wiederverschliessbarer Verpackung, um es trocken zu lagern.

Ich gebe zu, einige Vorbehalte gegen Amazon Basics gehabt zu haben, wurde aber eines Besseren belehrt. Sehr gute Haftung auf dem Bett, klasse Farbe, sehr schner Glanz und super Druckbild. Kann wirklich ber nichts meckern. Dem Karton lag sogar ein extra Zip-Beutel zum Verpacken dabei. Daumen hoch!

I never tried TPU filament, so I did decide to try finally. I compared prices of other brands and they want your arm and leg. I bought this one and printed few things with Prusa MK3S. I do have a feeling it is easy to print with it, if you use PEI sheet plate. I do recommend this one 100%
Der allererste Druck gelingt sofort.
Ich hatte Bedenken, da mein Ender 3 einen Bowdendrive hat, und da evtl das Material zu weich ist, jedoch ist es so fliefhig, dass sogar filigrane Drucke gut funktionieren.

El filamento en si es flexible pero no estirable. Con una pared de 2 milimetros es muy duro. Cuestin de probar y sin duda se obtienen buenos resultados.

Avantage du TPU, c’est qu’il est souple et on peut facilement le plier sans casser.
Le rendu est sympa mais ncessite plusieurs essais pour avoir une bonne finition. C’est un peu plus difficile que le PLA notamment quand il y des supports.
Un sachet zipp est fourni ce qui vite qu’il y ait trop d’humidit.

Meine Sorge war, dass sich das Filament selbststndig macht, habe allerdings das Gefhl, das TPU wird sogar besser von dem Zahnrad gegriffen als PLA. Fr alle die nicht wissen, ob das ganze auch mit ihrem Bowden funktioniert- bei mir definitiv.
Bon filament pour son prix, mais il faut prendre le temps de lancer quelques impressions de tests avant de mettre en route de grosse impression qui prendront plusieurs heures / jours.
De mon ct sur une CR-10s pro v2, un plateau 80C et une buse 240C donn les meilleurs rsultats (je suis en 0.8mm par contre avec des couches 0.6).
L’option roue libre rduit significativement les cheveux d’ange mme si ils persistent encore un peu dans les volumes creux.
Niveau vitesse, premires couches a 35 puis je monte 45. Au-dessus je perds nettement en qualit (et surtout en tanchit).
Il TPU tende ad essere caro rapportato al classico PLA ma questo ha una buona qualit ed un prezzo decisamente accessibile, l’ho trovato maggiormente elastico rispetto ad altri per cui sconsiglio lo stampaggio con setup bowden ma quasi d’obbligo l’estrusore direct (vedi il mio setup in foto).
Viene spedito in un sacchetto sotto vuoto per impedire che assorba umidit e viene dato in dotazione un secondo sacchetto con un secondo sacchetto con chiusura ermetica

Das Filament haftet sehr gut und das Preisleistungsverhltnis ist unschlagbar.
Ich habe das filament fr knapp ~22/KG gekauft.

Genauigkeit: Fr meine Projekte bisher auch super. Das Gewinde fr die Treckingstockklemme (Aktioncam) passt perfekt. Kein Warping, kaum Stringing. Achtung!: Sttzstrukturen knnen schwer entfernbar sein. Da arbeite ich noch an den Einstellungen.

Wrde es mir wieder kaufen. Es ist auch ein Vakuum Beutel mit Zipverschluss dabei damit man das filament immer gut vor Feuchtigkeit schtzen kann. Druckgeschwindigkeit im Video sind 60mm/s

Ho stampato diversi oggetti ( tappo per un rubinetto con filetto non standard , supporto di un porta faretto led e tanti animaletti per i bimbi) tutti sono venuti robusti e ben definiti.
Il settaggio migliore penso sia estrusore 230 e piatto 60.
L’impression se passe bien, adhrence OK, rsultat satisfaisant pour du TPU.
Seul bmol : la bobine n’est pas trs bien enroule, je n’ai jamais eu de soucis mais je vrifie rgulirement le droulement du filament.

Das TPU-FIlament ist von sehr guter Qualitt – Drucke klappen selbst mit meinem klapprigen i3Pruse-Holzdrucker einwandfrei und bestens.
Beachtet werden muss natrlich die richtige Temperatur und Schnelligkeit (eher Langsamkeit) des Druckvorgangs.
Klare Empfehlung!
J’ai pris ce filament Amazon pour voir si c’est facile d’imprimer en TPU.
On m’a conseill de baisser la vitesse 30mm/s, de monter 220 degrs et de ne pas chauffer le plateau.
J’ai imprim pour l’instant des serres cbles et a c’est imprim sans problme et a a bien coll mon Ziflex.
J’ai tent de faire une pice plus complexe et a n’a pas t concluant. Il faut que je vois pour mettre des paramtres diffrents pour le TPU par rapport au PLA.
I use a glue stick on my bed so the filament sticks. I tried tape and it didn’t work that well or it wouldn’t come off the bed.
I’d buy this filament again and I’m sure I’ll end up buying more of this. I usually buy what’s cheapest as long as the stuff is a good quality. I’ve not had any problems with this Amazon brand or any Amazon brand filament that I’ve used.
Viene bien enrollado, no viene perfecto pero no e tenido ningn problema con la bobina, ni fallos de impresin, ni tirones o atascos, los resultados en las piezas son buenos, es conveniente seguir las recomendaciones de temperatura indicadas por el fabricante, lo recibimos perfectamente bien embalado al vaco y libre de humedad.
Filamento che rispetta la descrizione. Unica pecca, la trasparensa e quindi il colore non “pieno”. Peccato. Ma consiglio per chi lo vuole provare e imparare ad usarlo

Ogni filamento in TPU per stampanti 3d possiede delle particolari caratteristiche che li distinguono l’uno dall’altro, per le pi disparate possibilit di utilizzo o ad esempio per una particolare resistenza a particolari sollecitazioni del materiale stesso.
In questo caso specifico parliamo di un filamento abbastanza particolare, realizzato in poliuretano termoplastico dalla caratteristica del colore NERO e dalla sua sviluppata resistenza a olio, grasso, graffi ed usura.
Per un miglior risultato in generale, la casa produttrice di questo filamento consiglia di tenere l’estrusore riscaldato in temperatura tra i 220 ed i 230C (ma consiglio 225 gradi come ottima via di mezzo)mentre il piatto in temperatura tra 60/70C (e qui consiglio 65 gradi sempre come via di mezzo) ed infine la ventola di raffreddamento attiva durante tutta la stampa. Oltre questo, il filamento risulta completamente atossico e inodore fino ad alte temperature, con un ottima adesione tra i layer nella stampa a temperature elevate.
Non lo consiglio ovviamente come filamento per effettuare prove, ma per la realizzazione di modelli e prototipi ben definiti, sui quali si sono gi fatte delle prove e nel momento in cui si vuole ottenere una stampa “definitiva”.
Attualmente si pu acquistare questo filamento da 1,75 millimetri di spessore nello specifico a 28,54 per la bobina da 1kg, un prezzo sicuramente alto rispetto alla media nei filamenti che si trovano in commercio, ma da considerare il fatto che si tratta di un prodotto specifico per determinati progetti di stampa che hanno necessit di una finitura “premium” non comune o comunque ben ricercata.
Ovvio che per ottenere un risultato ottimale al 100% bene avere una stampante ben calibrata con tanto di slicer impostato a dovere, in caso contrario nonostante la buona qualit del filamento si rischia di dover intervenire con delle finitura in post produzione per correggere magari dei piccoli errori di stampa, che si sa, con le stampanti 3D FDM sono sempre all’ordine del giorno.
Posso quindi consigliare in generale questo prodotto, che se utilizzato in modo mirato consente di ottenere (come nel mio caso) una stampa ben definita e soprattutto RESISTENTE. Di fatti consiglio di scegliere questo tipo di materiale rispetto al PLA prevalentemente per la realizzazione di componenti strutturali o che saranno soggetti particolarmente all’usura. Purtroppo la finitura finale non tra le migliori, fortunatamente il colore in questo caso nero nasconde un po le imperfezioni ma occorre un ottimo settaggio della stampante ed un poco di lavoro in post per riuscire ad ottenere un buon risultato.
Ho una stampante 3D da pi un anno e ho sempre provato filamenti in PLA e PETG, anche AmazonBasics. Non avevo mai provato il TPU, e quindi ho deciso di provarlo dato che mi sono trovato molto bene con il pla AmazonBasics.
Il filamento ha un diametro da 1,75mm, viene venduto in bobine da 1KG ed disponibile in 4 colori: bianco, rosso, grigio e blu.
Il TPU si caratterizza per le sue propriet flessibili e per essere pi difficile da stampare del PLA o del PETG.
Sono rimasto molto sorpreso dalla seconda busta richiudibile offerta nella confezione per riporlo quando non lo si usa, per evitare che possa prendere polvere e per mantenerlo asciutto. Non l’avevo mai vista inclusa in un filamento.
Ho una stampante con estrusore di tipo bowden e ho faticato un po’ prima di riuscire ad ottenere risultati accettabili, anche perch era il primo TPU che provavo.
Sottolineo anche una comodit che finora ho visto solo nei filamenti AmazonBasics, ovvero quella di avere su un lato una barra che indica la percentuale, approssimativa, di materiale (in grammi) e della lunghezza rimanente.
Concludendo un filamento non adatto sicuramente a principianti alle prime armi. La qualit discreta, anche perch il prezzo basso per essere del TPU.
I’ve been using this PLA for various projects over the last month and it works just as well as any other PLA I’ve used. I’ve had no issues with over or under extrusion on my Ender 3 and the black colour is a nice and deep black. I have been able to sand it down and spray paint parts without any problems.
I have been using it at a nozzle temperature of 205C and bed temperature of 60C without issue. I do have my printer dialled in quite well at the moment though, and replaced the nozzles before I started printing with this reel.
The filament is well wound on the spool and had no issues with it getting stuck while printing. I have a couple of different colours from this Basics range and had no issues with the quality of any of them. I will definitely be buying some more different colours soon.

In terms of printing, I set the extruder to 225C and set the build plate to 0C. I also turned the print speed down to 40mm/s. I think its also worth mentioning I have a high spec bowden tube that does prevent a lot of flexing of the filament within the tube.
The filament came packaged well, vacuumed packed with moisture absorbent packets as you would expect. A really nice touch is the additional bag that you can put the filament in afterwards to keep it dry!
The price seems to have been hiked up massively since I received this. I think there are better deals around than the 85 I saw it at the other day.
IN SINTESI
Il filamento arriva ben sottovuoto insieme a una busta aggiuntiva nel quale riporlo quando non lo si usa, da ben 1Kg, formato forse poco comune per il tpu che spesso venduto a tagli da 0.5Kg. Alta cosa che stupisce subito il prezzo, a meno di 30 al Kg abbastanza economico ma bisogna dire che vale quello che costa. Questo TPU ha durezza shore di 95A.
Come anticipato ho avuto qualche problema solo in casuali sovra estrusioni nonostante abbia giochicchiato molto con il profilo. Qui di seguito lascio i miei settaggi:
Temperatura UGELLO 225 per i primi 3 layer successivamente 220
Temperatura PIATTO 50 sempre on
Retraction NO RETRACTION (sistema di tipologia bowden)
Printing speed 2000 mm/min
Ho stampato una cover per il mio cellulare e una cover per Hard disk, non sono venute male elasticamente parlando ma hanno qualche difetto estetico.

CONCLUSIONI
Il filamento non male tutto sommato, sicuramente vale quello che cosa! Adatto a stampe strutturali non artistiche.
Voto:
Bobina de 1 kg de filamento flexible TPU en color negro.
Bobina perfectamente envasada al vaco y en caja de cartn. Se incluye una bolsa de plstico con cierre zip donde almacenarla una vez sacada del envase al vaco, cuando no la estemos utilizando. Un buen detalle, que no haba visto hasta ahora en otras marcas.
Buen filamento, bobina sin nudos hasta donde he usado, que no ha sido mucho.
Imprime perfectamene en Ender 3 con extrusor de serie, a 220C y cama caliente a 80C. Aparte hay que bajar velocidad de impresin y retraccin (y distancia de sta), y velocidad del ventilador.
Aparte es recomendable imprimirse un regulador de presin para la entrada del filamento, de forma que no ejerza tanta fuerza sobre ste.
Bobina de PLA en Negro con una calidad muy aceptable.
Fcil de imprimir, consiguiendo unas impresiones con pocos quebraderos de cabeza ajustando temperaturas y dems para conseguir la impresin optima.
Todos los ajustes recomendados de impresin vienen escritos en la bobina del filamento.
Un gran detalle es que aunque viene como la mayoras de las bobinas en una bolsa al vaco, que cuando la abres ya no hay forma de volver a guardar en el mismo estado, si no es que tienes una maquina y bolsas de vaco, esta viene con un plus que nombrar ms abajo.
Tambin viene con el sobre de gel para evitar la humedad.
Y lo que mas me ha gustado es que viene con una bolsa zip con la que puedes volver a guardarlo al vaco. En este caso si no tienes maquina de vaco con la bolsa zip y unas pajitas, podrs extraerle el aire y dejarlo al vaco siempre y cuando tus pulmones te lo permitan.
Por lo dems es un pla que no te dejara indiferente con unos buenos acabados y fcil impresin.
Un gran pla con CALIDAD A UN BUEN PRECIO
This is simple to Install and use. Works really well, no problems at all. I’ve used more expensive ones and cheaper ones and for the quality I found this one really great value for money.

Die Verarbeitung erfordert etwas andere Einstellungen als bei PLA Filament. Hier muss jeder fr einen 3D Drucker ein wenig selbst experimentieren und ausprobieren. Es kommt ja auch immer noch auf das Projekt drauf an.
Mit dem TPU Material hatte ich jetzt keine Probleme. Es lsst sich gut Verarbeiten und das Ergebnis ist auch gut.
Wer mal ein anderes Material ausser PLA braucht bekommt hier ein gutes Alternativfilament welches sich bei der richtigen Einstellung auch gut verarbeiten lsst und gute Ergebnisse erzielt.
Es wird Vakuumverpackt geliefert, und kann in dem mitgelieferten wiederverschliebaren Beutel aufbewahrt werden. Die Rolle bietet eine Markierung so das man immer einigermaen gut sehen kann wie viel Filament noch vorhanden ist.
C’est ma 1re exprience avec du filament TPU, j’ai toujours utilis que du PLA.
Le filament est souple, on le pli comme on veut , il ne casse pas.
J’ai suivi les conseils de tempratures d’impression pour ma buse 215C et pas de chauffe du plateau.
Couleur noire, cela m’a tout de suite fait penser Dark Vador. Donc, c’est partie pour une impression avec supports.
Le rendu est plutt pas mal, y a juste pour les supports, aprs retrait la finition est pas super d au faite que c’est souple. Mais c’est plutt impressionnant a fait caoutchouc souple.
Je suis ravie d’avoir dcouvert ce type de filament.
Le plus, c’est le sachet zipp fournit pour ranger aprs utilisation la bobine et qu’elle ne prenne pas l’humidit.

Das gelieferte 3D-Drucker-Filament mit einem Durchmesser von 1,75 mm ist fr den Druck von flexibleren Kleinteilen, Handyhllen oder auch von Uhrenarmbndern geeignet. Es ist aus stabilem, aber flexiblem thermoplastischem Polyurethan (TPU) gezogen und ist auerdem bestndig gegen le und Fette und hat eine sehr gute Verschleifestigkeit.
Das TPU von Amazon Basics lsst sich einen Direktextruder gut drucken, fast mit den gleichen Einstellungen wie PLA. Die Druckbett Beheizung kann laut Hersteller ausgeschaltet werden und die Temperatur des Nozzel muss angepasst werden. Fr eine bessrer Druckbetthaftung der Modelle ,kann ein Malerkrepp — Abklebe band oder ein Klebestift oder auch Haarspree in kleiner Menge eingesetzt werden, das ist aber anhngig von der Materialbeschaffenheit des Drucktisches und sollte auch erstmal bei einen Probedruck getestet werden ,welches dieser zustzlichen Haftungsergnzungsmittel berhaupt fr einen erfolgreichen Druck erforderlich sind. Am besten erstmal eine Temperatur — Tower drucken, um die optimale Temperatur fr den eigenen Drucker zu ermitteln. Die Druckgeschwindigkeit bei TPU ist standardmig geringer als bei PLA Drucken, aber das ist fr jeden Druckertyp individuell anzupassen und sollte erstmal bei einen kleinen Testdruck ausprobiert werden. Das Material lsst sich erfahrungsgem mit einen Direktextruder besser hndeln, ist aber mit einen Boden System etwas schwerer zu bndigen. Hier sollte der Vorschub und der Rckzug auf den Drucker angepasst werden, damit sich kein allzu groes Stringing beim Drucken bildet. Das Gewicht des gelieferten TPUs ist wie angegeben und voll in Ordnung, die Wicklungen sin gleichmig und der Durchmesser ist in den gemessenen Bereichen auch in den angegebenen Maen, nach dem Druck sollte die komplette Spule in die mitgelieferte wiederverschliebaren Folienbeitel gelagert werden um eine Feuchtigkeitsaufnahme durch das Druckmaterial zu unterbinden. Gutes Druckmaterial — Preis noch ok aber wer ist der Hersteller — Amazon.
De cara a imprimir figuras que no precisen de ser pintadas con posterioridad, necesitaba PLA de color negro, y los resultados me han gustado.
En primer lugar, la presentacin del producto, en una caja de cartn robusta con sus especificaciones y la bobina envasada al vaco, para garantizar el correcto estado previa a su utilizacin. Adems viene acompaada de un sobre antihumedad y se acompaa una bolsa Zip gigante para guardar la bobina tras el primer uso.
Por otro lado, el bobinado del filamento es realmente bueno, todo en perfecta secuencia e ideal para evitar cualquier tipo de enredo durante una impresin. Adems, se observa que el filamento no tiene deformaciones y es uniforme, otra marca de calidad, y que evita el bloqueo del extrusor.
En cuanto a la experiencia de uso, comentar que he impreso a 200 grados y no he tenido ningn problema, se adhiere perfectamente, por lo que me ha sorprendido gratamente los resultados obtenidos.
En cuanto a los acabado, el perfil de los objetos es fino y correcto, sin defectos en sus formas. Por otra parte, el color es puro, con brillo y que queda muy sorprendente. Al final he dejado muchas figuras sin pintar, porque me gustaba cmo quedaban tras la impresin.
En cuanto al precio, es una bobina de 1Kg por lo que su valor est bastante ajustado para lo que es el mercado ahora mismo.
As pues, teniendo en cuenta todos los aspectos de calidad, precio y resultados, considero que es un producto con una relacin excelente y a tener en cuenta para futuras compras.
I’ve done quite a bit of printing with TPU for various projects, so I’ve tried a few of the usual name brands. Apart from the name, this is indistinguishable from those I’ve tried before. It looks the same, behaves the same and prints the same, with the same good results.
My printer has a bowden extruder which, although not really the best choice for flexible filaments, had no problems at all printing with this but then the objects I’m printing are quite simple and I do have my settings for TPU quite dialled in after lots of trial and error. Retraction settings are a good place to start fiddling if you do experience stringing.
At this price for 1kg it seems great to me.

L’enroulage de la bobine est parfait et aucun blocage du filament n’est dplorer pendant l’impression.
Sur ma CR10S Pro, j’ai rgl la temprature 220 avec un bed 30 (pas plus) et c’est nickel.
L’entrainement, rgulier, ne pose aucun problme.
J’apprcie le sac fermeture tanche livr avec la bobine et permettant de stocker toute bobine entame l’abri de l’humidit! C’est pro.
C’est donc un excellent filament qui me satisfait pleinement et que je recommande sans hsitation.
Momentan habe ich noch ein Problem mit leichtem Stringing was sich aber sicherlich noch in den Griff kriegen lt. Natrlich lt sich das Material wesentlich einfacher mit einen Direktextruder drucken, weswegen ich bisher auch nichts anderes versucht habe.
Meine Ergebnisse waren soweit ganz gut (bis auf die kleinen Fdchen, welche nur mit einer Zange/ Seitenschneider zu entfernen waren).
Excellent quality and produces excellent results. Great value for money, and easy to use and install.
I found this pretty good filament, certainly much better than my usual cheaper one so the quality is there, this is a little more than my usual but I guess you get what you pay for and this is good, the spool is also good and not brittle like some, all in all, it’s a good option for decent filament and comes in a good range of colours which look good as final products.
TPU lsst sich hier ganz normal ohne Umbau des Extruders drucken.
Ich den letzten Druck habe ich mit einer 0.6mm Nozzle durchgefhrt.
Da ich mit einer Geschwindigkeit von 50mm/s drucke, verwende ich eine Hotend-Temperatur von 230C. Das Heizbett heize ich bei TPU immer auf 60C auf.
Stringing ist durch die hohe Geschwindigkeit und die grere Nozzle natrlich ein groes Problem, was aber fr mein aktuelles Vorhaben keine Rolle spielt.
Mit einer Druckgeschwindigkeit von 30mm/s, Retraction von 3mm und Retraction-Speed von 60mm/s lsst sich Stringing besser in den Griff bekommen. Bei einer greren Nozzle wird es aber nicht vermieden werden knnen.
Ansonsten ist das TPU sehr gut. Probleme habe ich hiermit keine. Gewickelt ist es bisher auch sehr gut.
Me alegra que Amazon haya dado el salto a la impresin 3d con un producto de calidad. El TPU es un plstico con propiedades distintas al PLA que es uno de los ms comunes en la impresin 3D, tiene propiedades similares pero son diferentes. No es necesario tener la cama caliente pero lo recomienda el fabricante, y que estemos dentro del rango de temperaturas del nozzle que indican. Un rollo que aparentemente muestra buena calidad, tanto de presentacin como de empaquetado. Es de agradecer que incluya una bolsa hermtica para cuando no lo utilicemos guardarla de nuevo en su interior y que no pierda las propiedades.
Die Rolle ist ungleichmig gewickelt, was jedoch keine Auswirkungen auf den Druck hat. Ein paar Meter habe ich verdruckt, ohne dass da Probleme auftraten. Es ist ohnehin fast unmglich, dass sich das Filament verheddert auf der Rolle, schlielich wurde es ja aufgewickelt. Auf ein paar Meter Lnge konnte ich in Abstnden einen Durchmesser von 1,73mm -175mm messen, die Rundheit scheint mir auch gut zu sein. Das sah soweit schon mal alles ganz gut aus.
Dann ging es ans Drucken. TPU-Filament ist mir nicht fremd. Mit meinem Titan-Extruder funktionierte der Druck mit Bowden, auch, wenn man damit leben muss, dass sich der Druck im Bowden nie vollstndig abbauen lsst. Retract kann man somit vergessen. Es schiebt sich immer noch etwas nach.
Das Amazon-TPU liegt in der Hrte in der Mitte von TPU. Es ist weich von der Rolle und immer noch sehr flexibel auch bei dickeren Bauteilen.
Nachdem ich ein wenig mit der Temperatur herumgespielt habe, blieb ich letztlich bei 210 Grad hngen, da es sich damit bei relativ niedriger Geschwindigkeit gut drucken lsst, wobei ich da mit der Temperatur noch ein wenig rumspielen muss. Die Haftung auf der Pertinaxplatte ist bei 50Grad wie bei TPU blich sehr gut. Schwarz glnzend sehen die Bauteile dann fertig aus. Fden sind nur mit einem scharfen Skalpell zu entfernen. Das Zeug ist extrem zh.
Das Material lie sich letztlich drucken, keine Verrenkungen waren ntig. Mit Bowden gedruckt gibt es ein paar Dinge zu beachten, dennoch funktioniert das ganz gut. Ich habe mir als erstes zwei Dmpfer gedruckt fr Nema17-Motoren. Ich denke, hier bekommt man zu einem sehr guten Preis ganz brauchbares TPU.
I was sent a black spool to review, despite the fact that at time of writing, black is the only colour not available to buy individually, it’s currently only found in the five-pack, though I imagine this will be rectified in the near future. So I can only comment on the black colour, which I like. It’s nicely smart, and whilst it is a little shiny, it doesn’t have that sticky sheen to it that makes other filaments seem a little tacky and toy-like.
The performance seems good and very unremarkable so far, for a TPU which is always better for some prints and purposes than others. I haven’t measured it with precision, but the spool rotates nicely, it melts as expected, and my printer handles the width of it for both loading and printing without any complaints, without me needing to fiddle with any of the settings from my previous prints.
If you print extensively and need a stock of colours, this spool will fit perfectly well in your library, without being top of the class or drawing any unnecessary attention to itself, for better or worse.
For anyone with a PRUSA MK3S or compatible and are using PRUSA Slicer you need to make some adjustments to the extruder and belt tensions. This takes some fine tuning and even then I am not sure that I got it all right so I am a TPU printer in progress. Here are some of the settings that helped me a lot.
Slicer settings with good results on the MK3S extruder:
2 mm retraction
65 mm/s retraction speed
35 mm/s deretraction speed
No Z-hop
80% wipe
Volumetric Speed 1.5 mm3/s
Print Speed 20mm/s on everything
That aside, this is some great TPU filament! It prints well, leaves some stuff to clean up, but from what I have read that comes with TPU printing. I personally think that it has a lot to do with my retraction settings. Still working on that. The filament is perfectly 1.75mm from my random checks, wound well around the spool and is very good plyable quality material.
Got this for my son. He’s trying to find more projects to do that can utilize the flexible properties of this filament. He said it’s good, but not the best he’s used. For the price though, it was good for test runs and beginners.
This is a great filament for my 3D printer. It is wound onto the spool so that it doesn’t snag and it fits through my bowden tube and into my extruder without issue. It produces a smooth finish when paired with the Sunlu Filament dryer. Great filament for the cost.
This is the first AmazonBasics branded filament I have tried with my Ender 3 and this is only the second spool of TPU I have owned so I’m a bit new at working with TPU. Based on my first prints I can tell that I haven’t perfectly dialed in my slicer settings for this material yet. I’m getting some stringing still but that’s probably due to my retraction setting being too high. Printing at 210 degrees with an initial layer height of 0.2 with an initial layer line width of 130% seems to give good adhesion to my glass bed. The filament appears to be printing well with good uniformity and I haven’t had any issues with the filament jamming in the extruder (I do have an upgraded extruder) or nozzle. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this filament and it’s working well for me.
Generally speaking, TPU is hard to print if your machine uses a Bowden tube and the quality will be lower compared to non Bowden machines!
Using my Monoprice Mini Delta, with a modified extruder stepper motor setup to handle flexible filament, I was able to print almost right away! it only took a couple of partial prints and then I was able to print my Benchy without issues.
I was able to print at 30mm/s which I thought was going to be too fast. My Benchy came out pretty good for flexible filament. I think I could have tweaked the settings to improve the quality but I’m happy with it for now.
You can see from my pic that my bench has some stringing (which isn’t surprising with flexible filament) and there is some under extrusion (which I think I can tweak to improve) but overall, it printed well for my first flexible print.
I’ve printed other things that came out well but nothing as complex as Benchy.
Overall, I would recommend this filament if you’re looking for flexible filament. If you’ve never printed with flexible filament, keep your expectations low. Haha.
FYI, I’m using the latest version of Cura to slice and a lego compatible Benchy I found on Thingiverse. I figured I can give these Benchys to play with afterwards.
TPU is one of my least favorite filaments to print with. It is too soft to get much pressure on, particularly in a Bowden setup. It is just a bit better in direct drive. It also runs everywhere and somehow never quite leaves the nozzle completely, leading to clogs sooner or later. Still, it is great for many things. I have made custom washers that are still in service, keeping watertight connections. They are also good for parts that need to flex a lot, as long as you don’t need a print with big overhangs or supports. Basically, this is a filament everyone should have in their arsenal, but probably not one you will use for standard prints.
I have had good luck with AmazonBasics TPU before, and this one seems similar in quality. The spool is nice and comes in a dry pouch. I have rarely had success actually resealing that pouch. I would shop around and consider this brand if you are just going for a vanilla TPU. If I do have issues over time, I will update this review.
This was my first TPU and it didn’t disappoint. Using it on my Creality Ender 3 v2 with no issues. I would definitely buy it again if I run out.
DIMENSIONAL ACCURACY
The specs state a dimeter of 1.75mm +/- 0.05mm. The red filament I received started out at 1.82mm in diameter, and was at 1.81mm in diameter after printing a few test objects. Thus, the diameter has been consistent over the length of filament I’ve used thus far, even though it’s very slightly out of spec. This doesn’t bother me that much because it’s easy for me to adjust the filament diameter in my printing software (Simplify3D). The black filament I received has been a consistent 1.72mm in diameter for the length I’ve used, so this one is within the stated specs. The rolls I received are actually over 1kg, and I assume the extra weight is just the weight of the plastic spool (but I don’t have an empty spool to tare my scale with to verify).
MY PRINTER
All my testing is done on a PowerSpec Ultra printer, which I believe is nearly the same as a FlashForge Pro printer. On top of the heated bed, I have a borosilicate plate I printed on for a long time with some AquaNet hairspray. Recently, I have put a DisWay bed on top, and that is what I am using for these tests. I also swapped out my extruder for a Flexion Extruder a while back. I intended to get into flexible filaments, which is why I switched extruders. However, I never got into flexible materials and this is my first attempt with flexible filaments. I have the Flexion Extruder set to a setting of “1”, which grips the filament the hardest. I don’t think a stock extruder will work all that well with flexible filaments. I also have the filament feeding vertically from the machine, to try and have the filament feed with as little force as possible. Finally, the TPU was put kept in a SUNLU dryer box for these prints, at a temp of 50C.
PRINTING
I needed to use a lot of retraction to print this material well — this filament builds up a lot of pressure in the print head! I attached a screenshot of my relevant parameters. I have also attached a test print of the “Benchy” object that everyone seems to test printers/filaments with. The red print was an early test I did without as much retraction. The early part of the print went fine, until I reached the level where the print head was forced to retract the filament and cross an open space. This didn’t work well and there was a lot of blobbing when the head started printing again. This eventually built up excess material, catching on the head and knocking the print off my bed prematurely. The black print is with the final settings in the screenshot I provided. It’s definitely not perfect, but it’s good enough for my needs.
Although the box recommends against using a heated bed, I kept mine at 60C with good results. I have seen other TPU filaments recommended to print at 230C, but I had better results printing this filament at 215C.
I have a Dremel 3D45, which is a workhorse but doesn’t necessarily have a lot of finesse. Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) is new, but my printer can handle it.
TPU is not food safe, like PETG nor is it water safe, as it absorbs moisture. Prints take longer to complete as a result, so it’s a bit like a less food-friendly PETG and prints a bit more like nylon only with more flex.
TPU is essentially the equivalent of rubber printing, which makes it great for a variety of objects I would never normally consider printing. The black filament is particularly good for tires and seals.
I’ve used PLA, PETG, and ABS for years for my various 3D printing projects. This is the first time I’ve tried TPU. It did take some time to figure out the correct nozzle temperature which I settled on 225-230 on my Ender 3 Pro. Bed temp of 55 degrees was fine, and that may even be a little high. I’m using a glass bed instead with Aqua Net instead of the default magnetic bed because it just works better for me.
This filament is pure black and looks nice when printed, with a bit of flex to it compared to other filaments. I’m having good results printing at 25-30mm/s; any faster and it’s been having issues so I just keep it slow and steady for this filament.
The reel is the standard plastic and should fit just about any printer. No issues with extrusion, the quality seems pretty good on this filament. I don’t have any other experience with TPU but so far it’s been fun and I’ll definitely be getting more in different colors since this is by far the most flexible filament I’ve used in all my printing projects.
At least for me, TPU has always printed as easily as PLA and this spool is no different. I’m using a Bowden setup (Creality CR-10 V2) and have used both Priline and SainSmart TPUs, and now this one and I really haven’t had any trouble or have seen much difference between them. I think this AmazonBasics is a little softer than either of the other two, but it certainly isn’t crazy stretchy like NinjaFlex. I know you “can’t” print TPU with a Bowden, and you have to use no retraction, but I use the Bowden with 2-3mm of retract and my prints come out reliably and correctly with minimal stringing.
I’m happy with this TPU and see no reason why I won’t get it again. Since this is TPU, as the saying goes, YMMV.
This is my first experience printing TPU, and I’d heard that it was difficult to work with, but this has been a real pleasure. I have an Ender 3 Pro, converted to direct drive – I wouldn’t try this with a bowden tube – and my test print came out perfectly at 230 degrees with a bed temp of 50, printed at 35mm/s. YOu’ll definitely need to slow down the speed for this. No stringing, perfect layer and bed adhesion. Love it, and will be buying AmazonBasics in the future!
