The seed holder is good and sturdy but I have found my blackbirds and other birds of similar or bigger size cannot feed from mine as the feeder rods aren’t big enough to hold on to. It’s fine for smaller birds. I’ve had to put my old one up by the side of the new one so everyone is happy. But, its a nice feeder, would purchase again.

This is just a great addition to my garden.
It is a pretty good bird feeder that has 4 feeding ports.
The feeding ports and the tube that holds the seeds are made from plastic, but the perches have metal pieces inside to make them sturdy and easier for the birds to perch.
The cap of the bird feeder and the hanger are made from metal, which is good.
The price of this bird feeder is 12.99 at the moment ,which is a pretty high price for a feeder like this.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

Not bad ,but a bit expensive

I got this to hang on our bird feeding post we have across from my drive on the green.

We have a lot of birds all year round and we love feeding them i was looking for a larger feeder so i did not have to refill each day enter this bird feeder its is really big!

This is perfect to minimise having to refill as often. It’s as sturdy as you’d expect from a plastic item. Its more durable than it looks. The lid lifts easily to be able to fill the feeder. What I like most is that there are four nice sized ledges for the birds to sit and feed.

Most feeders only have two and birds can get in to fights over who gets to feed or not. This allows for more feeding at the same time. It holds a really good amount of seed and is easy for the birds to get too.

I would love to see one like this with some sort of dish attached to the bottom to catch any stray seed that fall from the feeder or get dislodged during feeding. I prefer the seeds on the feeder and not in the ground if I can help it.

All in all i have no reason not to recommend this product.

Does the job better than expected

I really enjoy seeing birds in my garden and try to encourage them as much as possible with an assortment of foods, water etc. I have large feeders already for the bigger birds but this one is ideal to hold smaller seeds to tempt the smaller ones. I have several feeders placed strategically around my garden to not only attract the birds but to also keep them safe from potential predators.
Although it is ideal for smaller birds it is very sturdy and easy to refill and clean when required. There are 4 perches along the length of the feeder so that the birds can help themselves at their convenience.
There is an hook that can either be attached to a branch or a hook depending on the desired location.
Makes a lovely addition to my garden.

From the photo I’d assumed this was metal perches but they are made to look like metal and are plastic.
I wanted metal so I can give it a tougher clean when scrubbing but was disappointed it turned out to be plastic.

    Overall quality is good tho.

    Not metal

This very long feeder is made well with study metal. It looks like it’s built to last a long time, the feeder is easy to fill and place on a feeding pole thanks to the decent handle at the top. There are several places for birds to perch on.

I really like this feeder, and so do the birds, it seems.

    Strong and sturdy feede

There is nothing adventurous about this bird feeder, but it is a tried and tested type, and the birds will be happy to use it. The current price (11.99) seems in line with what garden centres would charge. The seeds are contained in a longish clear plastic tube of moderate thickness, added from the top after lifting the domed stainless-steel lid. The lid, which has a good overhang to protect from rain is slid up the stainless-steel wire hanging loop that hooks through either end of a metal rod threaded through the tube. The seeds are dispensed though four holes towards the bottom of the tube, each opposed pair lined with chromed plastic ports that incorporate perches and are held together by single cross-head screws. The lower pair also retain the base, a stainless-steel pressing with a raised centre to discourage build-up. Releasing the two pairs of ports and the hanging loop allows disassembly for cleaning. It’s a simple design that works well, and the materials should last better than some. The plastic parts will fail first. This feeder went almost straight out into the garden, filled with about one litre of seed mix. The first customers have been the pigeons: the sparrows are usually initially wary of anything new. I’ll add some pictures when I can catch them in the act.

A decent orthodox feeder. Not as much metal as appearances suggest.

This is a decent bird feeder. I’ve filled it with peanuts which work well for the size of holes in the side for feeding. It’s reasonable quality without being really sturdy, so 4 stars seems fair.

    Decent bird feede

This bird feeder looks really nice hanging on my bird station. It’s 14″ long so takes enough food so I don’t have to keep refilling it, there are four feeding ports with perches and the lid is metal and can’t be destroyed by squirrels. It’s easy to lift the lid to refill although the base isn’t perfectly flat so I was worried it would tip over during filling. It’s a little more expensive than some feeders but a reasonable price for a better quality feeder that it appears to be. I’ve already seen great tits feeding from it so I can recommend it especially for the pleasure I’m getting from watching the birds feed.

Looks nice hanging on my bird station!

we have several bird feeders and lots of regular visitors to the feeding area, hung this one up and had the robin feeding from it after a few hours. We do have pesky Starlings that empty all the food from my feeders in half an hour which is so annoying, i will chop the little posts shorter like i have on all my other ones so the bigger birds cannot stand on them and feed as easily but the smaller blue tits and robins can still. I do not fill my feeders up all the way anymore due to the starlings emptying them all so quickly, i just fill up a little bit in one of the feeders and the smaller birds notice it but the starlings tend to only come along when they see it full. easy enough to clean, shame the bottom doesnt fully come off as thats the hardest bit to get cleaned as with all my other feeders, the pole going through stops you from removing the bottom section fully

great feeder - had robin feeding from it without a few hours of hooking it up

This is an empty bird feeder, seed not included. For the price of it I had assumed it would be pre filled with bird seed.

Its okay as bird feeders go, has 4 feeding ports and looks good quality. Once ive filled it up I’m sure the sparrows snd robins i get in my garden will enjoy it.

This appears to be reasonable quality. The lid on the top is metal. There’s no way of fixing it on, so if you have trouble with pigeons or squirrels purposefully divebombing your feeder this might not be ideal. The perches are silvered plastic. With regards to cleaning, like similar designs you have to dismantle it to clean it properly. It’s doable. I find plastic perches snap off over time, but you usually get a good few years out of them. As for the design, it’s very long and so it requires less filling. I’m pleased to say the birds instantly took to this. It only took them a day or two to start feeding from it and they appear to like it.

Made of firm plastic this bird feeder has small apertures for the smaller birds to feed from so it’s not so attractive to the bigger birds. We have sparrows, robins, blue tits and wrens in our hedge that feed there regularly and it’s a pleasure to watch them. The feeder holds a good amount of seed so doesn’t require filling so often and the metal lid keeps the food dry so it doesn’t go mouldy. It’s easy to clean with a bottle brush and dries again quite quickly. Should last a while because it is sturdy but is a bit pricey compared to others.

Where I live now I have invested heavily in many things to bring wildlife to my doorstep don’t panic, I don’t intend to harm them, or eat them for dinner. I just finding it relaxing when watching the wildlife go about its daily, and nightly life.
The most relaxing thing is watching the birds feed so I’ve hung so many bird feeders in and around my garden, and this one fits in perfectly with the others.
This is a cracking height, nearly 350 mm long – 490 mm including the handle – and 60 mm in diameter, with a 100 mm in diameter metal lid fixing over the top to stop the rain from dropping in.
Filling it is a simple matter of lifting the lid, pouring in the feed, then replacing the lid before hanging onto the hook. That’s it.
It has four holes down the feeder tube, each hole covered in a firm plastic with even firmer perches sticking from the holes. Each perch strong enough to take the weight of most garden birds. The heaviest I’ve seen hanging onto this is a pigeon, although the feeder did sway a bit at first, startling the pigeon. But the smaller birds sit quite happily on the perches without swaying about.
The hook is a thin rod of metal which is easy to hang over most hooks of most sizes, and the lid slides up and down the hook so it doesn’t get lost when you’re filling this up.
In all, a great way to attract the birds into your garden, and getting them to keep coming. It’s well made and simple to fill.

This is a great quality large bird feeder. Fits so many seeds. Also looks lovely. Good protection lid on top to prevent from water getting into it. It is sturdy and strong. Good value for money, should last years.

    Great quality

This small bird feeder is superb if like me you have far too many greedy Starlings stealing the food and fighting the other birds away! This feeder the starlings have been to and doubt they could they are too big to perch on this to feed on, today I got to see two Robin’s and some blue tits come feast and lots of sparrows really warmed my heart to see the smaller birds getting to feast.

Well made, holds plenty of food will keep the locals busy for a while.
