I’ve been using Bosch green drill for ages – small, versatile and capable of doing most home DIY.
Until I needed to drill in concrete – what a nightmare…
So GBH 2-28F came to the rescue – it’s bigger, heavier and does the job easily. The F comes with L-boxx and SDS and regular swappable chucks – allowing me to use it all types of drill bits.

Anyone that dislikes this drill, has never used one. The difference in this drill on hammer, and say a Makita on hammer with a keyed chuck, well. The Bosch just breezes through, the Makita turns so fast, with such a puny hammer force that the bits turn red with heat and melt, hole incomplete. Not so the Bosch. The Germans again…. They bombed our Chip shop you know….
I tried using my 18v Dewalt Drill that I have had for approx 10 years, & it didn’t even get close. Using this drill however, it was similar to using knife to cut through butter, I can’t believe I waited this long for a proper drill!
So first off, I’ve only just bought this as a replacement for my old GBH2400, which finally let the smoke out the other day….AFTER 10 YEARS!!! I’m a general builder/carpenter, so that’s 10 years of use every day, with a lot of serious abuse, breaking off quarry tiles, breaking up slabs, chasing, core drilling (100mm!) etc. I’ve not had a single power tool that got used so much last as long as this, and I cannot praise bosch enough for the gbh2400, it was quite remarkable. My review here is essentially for that model, and I’m hoping that this one lives as long as that. Because quite frankly, the minor differences in weight, speed, fancy features etc between different manufacturers drills I don’t give a toss about in a rotary hammer. I just want a tool that will work all day, and last a long time. By the by, I’m not a bosch purist either – this is the only bit of bosch kit I use. So here’s hoping they kept the extraordinary quality up with this one.
Bought this to replace 15 year old version which has done me well. Practical same design, as they say if it ain’t broke don’t change it. This has new anti kick back feature which provides more confidence definitely a good addition. Hopefully this will last as long as my previous one.

Nach einiger Internet-Recherche habe ich mich bewut fr diesen Bohrhammer entschieden. Nachdem die Bestellung bei Amazon ausgeliefert war, hatte ich jedoch leider festgestellt das eine Bestellung direkt beim ausliefernden Baumarkt ca. 30,– gnstiger gewesen wre, d.h. Angebote von Amazon sind nicht immer gnstig.
