Dual Inputs and Adjustable Bass
The R980T can be connected to more than one audio device through the two RCA inputs. Connect to both your PC and Television or record player with the R980T stereo speakers. No need to switch inputs. Master volume and bass knobs easily adjust both the audio and bass levels. These knobs are located on the back of the active speaker, allowing for a tailored listening experience.

I would recommend these speakers to anyone who doesn’t want to spend lots of money on speakers as these are very good quality speakers for the price.
Purchased to widen stereo spread & the stereo frequency response as C2000 only has 1 speake
bought this for my turntable (audio technica lp60x) and it’s amazing! the vocals are clear, the sound quality and bass is really good!
with movies/videos the volume has to be turned up higher than with music but its still so much better than laptop/tv speakers! with games its really immersive too!
These speakers are excellent, great clarity all through the range, they can get very loud without distortion.
For a small speaker it sounds great. What inlike the most is you can plug it into 2 devices eg pc and dj controller. Very happy 🙂

The frequency response is spectacular and the audio produced from them sounds authentic. As an audiophile and sound Technican by trade, I cannot believe how good these speakers are for 70!
Different genres are sound perfect. I’ve tried Rock, House, and acoustic guitar.
Thanks to the dual input I have been able to plug my TV into them as well, so I can seemlessly switch between record player and my chromecast and PS4. (re positioned speakers away from record player due to vibration interference)
I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for home listening and use. I’ve read some reviews which say these speakers are on par with their studio monitors, but I wouldn’t use these for audio production purposes.

Having dropped my Audio Technica speakers – devastating, I started research to find compatible ones. Recommended for the Audio Technica LP60 Bk were these – Edifier 980T – especially as I wanted bookshelf ones, though these are much larger than my original ones. I am no technician but was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to connect these to my stereo. No issues with the on/off switch at the back. Then I turned the system on and was delighted with the sound. One happy bunny who would recommend these!
I love those speakers ! The sound is wonderful compared to my old ones. It’s like when I’m watching a movie sometimes I feel like I’m on movie theatre.They work well and great value for the money.
These speakers provide much better sound quality and the volume is more than enough for home use. Has enough volume for the neighbours to listen too! The EQ on the speakers is limited to bass and volume but these are responsive and allow you to tweak based on your listening preferences. I listen to hard rock and metal and these hold up really well.
Arrived quickly and was easy to set up. Very much a case of plug in and go!
I bought a record player with built in speakers but this was to magnify the sound.
So spent a lot of money on speakers and USB Sound Cards for nothing, all i needed was some good Speakers, but that is where the problem lies, it’s hard to know which speakers are good when buying online, and reading reviews from others are not always going to have the same audio taste as yourself.
These budget Bookcase Speakers are really good with excellent sound quality for Music/Videos/Movies/Games, the only fault (or dislike) is the Volume/Bass knobs on the back of the Speaker.
The sound is excellent for small, inexpensive speakers. The built-in amplifier in these active speakers is pretty good. The controls are in the back making them less accessible but once set up you may not need to touch them again. They have improved the output from my computer and are small enough to sit on my desk unobtrusively. They are well built and look good.
Absolute bargain, only thing is that its difficult to turn the bass up sometimes as u need to get behind one of the speakers, however u can just keep it at one setting as I have.
Hooked up in 5 minutes. They connected to my record player really easily. The sound quality out of them is amazing. Great value for money and they look really nice.
Well made and good to look at but too bassy for my hearing. There’s no control for adding a bit of treble. But on the whole ‘good value for money’
These were good value and a real upgrade from beginner level speakers. I really enjoy using them as part of my desk setup.
Simple appearance and easy to set up. Seems well put together and sound quality is as good as the 2.1 system I had previously. Also nice to have 2 auxiliary Jack’s and a volume control on the back out of sight.
Very surprised with how warm and rounded the bass is on these. Really rich sound. Middle and top could be slightly clearer, but overall very pleased with them. Great value for money.

These are nice little speakers and for what I use them for (turntable in 13×13′ ft room) they are ample volume wise. I have dedicated studio monitors elsewhere and these aren’t quite as defined or loud but not bad for the price and what I need them for. Look nice too.

Got these to compliment my wifes old record deck, nice & easy to connect, simple volume control (I used a basic pre-amp to help with the link between deck & speakers), good sound & compact.

Nice speakers, no remote, great value for money and quick delivery
I took a risk by buying speakers without a sub woofer to replace my old broken ones. I use these for my gaming PC, which I also listen to music on frequently. I’ve given 4 stars as the sound is good for the price but the bass is a fair bit quieter than I’m used to with my old similarly priced speakers with a sub woofer. It would be unfair of me to rate these speakers poorly on that basis as I knew they were unlikely to be too bassey but was still a little disappointed with the result. Overall the sound quality is very clear. I’d say if you’re looking for a decent set of speakers and don’t have the room for a sub, or aren’t too concerned about having heavy bass these are a good option. I really like the design and they look good on my desk. If you listen to heavier music and like to have the bass cranked up (and have space) I’d recommend looking elsewhere, even though these do an admirable job with the bass considering.
Probably the best sound you can get for 60 pounds. Really happy with this purchase and would totally recommend.
The sound is great but it came with a couple of small cosmetic issues which are not enough to justify the effort of a return, but are frustrating.
For the money this a 5 star product. I highly doubt you’ll find better value. Packs a great punch for the size too. Easy to assemble and looks nice, too.
Obviously I’m not saying there aren’t better on the market but for the price these are an absolute steal.

I got these as a cheaper option for my record player and have to say, they’re fantastic for the price! Perfect size, sound great, and you’re also provided with a AUX input so you can jack in your phone and listen to Spotify.
Pretty good value for money. Only kind of issues I’ve had with them are at the higher volumes, if the track I’m listening to has A lot of bass it starts to over power all of the higher frequencies. I use them with a pc so I can make them go pretty loud with is probably why they do this. Great buy all together though.

Theres no light on the back to glow at night to let you know if you have left them on . So you have to check manualy

Good value. Sound decent for their size and price. Adjustable bass level is handy. Treble and clarity is ok. Not hi-fi or studio monitor level, still a bit better than a soundbar for music. Not bad with speech although lacking warmth with male voices. Nicely made.
They’re very very good speakers for the money, on full base I think the speakers are perfect for listening to music quietly, but the base is a little disappointing in the higher volumes. You won’t be blown away by the sound quality or the base of these speakers but they are really really good for the price.
I bought these recently, after reading a few reviews,to replace a set of 2.1 speakers on my partner’s PC and I am very impressed.
Awesome little speakers. Perfect if you need some decent sound from your PC but don’t have a lot of space or want to spend a lot of money.
Great high and mid response, but not bad low down either for all the size of the drivers. Plenty of power from the built-in amp to get good volume at good quality from them too.

These replaced a set of speakers bought with a desktop in 1996. They were used plugged into the Headphone socket of 4K TV.The speakers had been much better than “sound bars” but were a bit deficient at the higher frequencies. The Edifier speakers were another generation better all round used the same way.
These speakers surprised me, in the most pleasant way. For the money I wasn’t expecting a lot, but boy do they deliver! Really packing a punch through the midrange, nice crisp high end and fairly chunky bass, yet not overpowering. The speakers cope with all the music I’ve thrown at them so far. Especially from a good quality digital source. Really well made and delightfully round-sounding little speakers. All in all, quite a gem and well worth 60 of anyone’s money!
I have a pair of 6″ studio monitors which I can switch to in place of the computer speakers and these little speakers are almost as revealing as the monitors. The bass is of good quality and sounds like the instrument it is supposed to be whether bass guitar or string bass. The frequency response seems even and wide without any band being emphasised or lost.The quality and clarity is maintained up to quite high volumes bearing in mind the tiny size of these speakers.
Please note, I gave the remote control five stars, but this model does not have remote control or Bluetooth.

Received them very quickly. The quality is amazing for the price, they look sleek and it was very easy to connect them!
I’m no audiophile and was not looking for a complicated setup. These Edifier speakers are exactly what I need. They’re stylish and look good perched next to books on my desk. The sound quality, from my point of view, is great and is a tremendous difference from what I’m used to.
If you’re looking for decent speakers for your PC or living room and but don’t require a complicated sound system, then this will do fine.
Lovely compact speakers, easy to setup on any TV or PC monitor, has adjustable bass and volume knobs on the back of the powered speaker, play with the bass a little as it can get quite heavy with dialogue in movies etc and drown it out. Overall I am happy with these and might get a 2nd set for extra usage for surround sound.

For the size and money they have a good quality of sound and they are quite powerful. Obviously you can get better sound for much more money, but this was a very good deal in my opinion.
The only issue is the fact that there isn’t a remote control and the controllers are in the back, hence it is a bit annoying to tweak the volume quickly when by instance you are browsing the internet and every video has a different level of sound and sometimes it kicks too loud.. Because of this I have to keep them always at minimum level and then eventually raise the volume when I can’t hear properly…
Great set of speakers. Work well with my Turntable and produce excellent sound. Great item for the price.
These have confirmed my favouritism for Edifier – get them and you will not be disappointed.
Also good for playing music from your mobile.
Although the packaging was all ripped up but the speakera where fine.
