Couldn’t give it 5 stars for weight as this tool has to withstand a lot of vibrations so needs to be robust. Hammer drill setting lets the bit go through materials like melted butter and the hammer action works very well with minimal vibration on the hands. Good tool.

Made taking the paster of a 1930s wall a breeze. finished under the hour . not used drill setting yet but can see no issues with this.

    Good price and fast delivery.

This is a fantastic sds drill powerful enough for what I needed drilling and cracking up concrete
    Easy to use light weight
Perfect for DIY what it would be like for everyday use ??? But mine has taken a hammering and still working
    Well worth the money

I purchased this unit as a cheap replacement for an expensive SDS that had finally given up after extensive use. I don’t do such heavy duty jobs now so needed something for occasional use. We for the money you get a decent quality tough unit with a mix of heavy plastic and rubberised feel that has a decent weight about it. I was really please when I opened the unit and found it can with a blade and point chisels and three popular sized ads drill bits, for the money that’s pretty good. I used the unit today to drill some holes into some pretty tough concrete and used the chisels to break through a concrete surface (kango job really), this unit toughed through 90 mins constant use and did the job. chuck is easy to operate and the selectors pretty clear…for the money this is a good buy for the home diy enthusiast who has occasional use and the fact that you have some tools and don’t have to spend out on chisels etc is a bonus. Hope it lasts the course but started well.

…this is a beast. Was getting a bit stressed thinking about wrestling my old bosch hammer drill into masonry (nothing wrong with bosch hammer drills but they can be hard work).

This thing made mince of it. I guess it’s the SDS design but whatever it is this is the tool for masonry drilling in my opinion.

And it chisels out old masonry like butter as well.

Remoing floor tiles and hamer drilling through metal then ceramic straight through the concrete with no effort. My second one.

I’ve used this tool extensively since purchase to strip rendered and plastered walls back to stone as well as remove tiles and drill through some heavy stone and slate and it has performed admirably throughout. It’s not going to break up heavy concrete or similar but in the light to medium work it copes really well and is light enough to use for a long period of time.

Great tool good value for money

Delivered next day, Fairly good value disappointing no case with Drill, Disappointing with Evolution on their customer service took too long to reply to my question regarding a case and if they could supply one unfortunately they do not supply them any more obviously trying to keep price down. VERY MISS GUIDE POINT OF VIEW CUSTOMER BUY THIS PRODUCT WANT TO KEEP IT PROTECTED. I have purchased several other case non were totally suitable to encase the drill and keep it still in the box with the bits like my friend older Evolution drill exactly the same but purchased last year, Again very disappointing

Had futzed about for ages with a hammer drill to make a 20mm hole in 250mm concrete block wall. Bought this (and a Makita drill bit) and it went through the wall like butter. Cannot wait to try the chisel option.

No idea why but the suggestion here is lightweight. This is not lightweight. It’s a hefty bit of kit as you’d hope from a tool expected to do the jobs this one advertises. It’s a beast. Make sure you get an sds chuck adapter while you’re at i

An excellent multi-functional drill which comes supplied with a decent set of bits. Comfortable grips and a speed control on the trigger. I used it to drill a 20mm hole through a single course brick wall and it went through in seconds with no effort at all.
Substantial but not too heavy. Very pleased with this item at the price, recommended, 5 stars.

I love this drill! I was borrowing one to do some DIY on our new house and realised I should probably buy my own for the amount of work I was using it for. That one was an expensive brand, but I prefer this one by far.
It still has a huge amount of power, but never feels like it will run away with it. Good selection of bits included. Only shame was that mine arrived without the case. This didn’t bother me though, as I have enough tool boxes to store it in.

Prompt delivery. Arrived well packaged. The drill comes with bits and in its own hard plastic case. We have concrete lintels and our drill wouldn’t drill through them for us to put up curtain poles. A carpenter was going to charge us 40 per window. As we are decorating the whole house we decided to buy an SDS drill instead.
This SDS drill goes through concrete lintels like butter! Perfect! Top job!
Very happy. The cheapest SDS drill we could find but the only one we’ll need and it’s saved us 40 for every window in the house!

The drill works very good for drilling into brickwork and concrete. The only problem was that to use the drill for drilling into wood, etc. It was necessary to purchase a separate SDS keyed chuck.

I bought this for my daughter She needed to remove some thing from her walls .It made light work of the job.The advert didn’t say that there were any extra tools so I ordered the specific tools she needed extra. When it came it had the necessary tools with it.Maybe they could add this to their advert as most of the others did.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNeeded this to drill a 16mm x 450mm hole for copper piping and it went through like a hot knife through butter. I’ve used it for multiple smaller jobs since then preferring it over my old hammer drill, and it’s been a dream to use. It’s really not that heavy and has handled everything with aplomb. Yet to use the chisel action but it seems plenty powerful enough, despite some reviews really slating it. The case is OK too – it’s not professional standard but I wouldn’t expect that for the fee, but it’s perfectly serviceable and will last fine if treated with a bit of respect.

For the price, what’s not to love?

Had this drill for 4 years and put through some heavy work. Renewed the brushes about 12 months ago which brought it back to life.
Recently using it to drill stone walls the motor packed in. For the price I cannot complain it has earned its money. Just buying another. Lets hope its as good as the last. I think some people expect too much from a budget drill like this but I’ve been well happy with mine.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve only used this drill for a short period and already I’m very impressed. The range of features for the price is really quite remarkable and I’m delighted that it’s British designed. First of all it’s not too heavy and very ergonomic to operate. There are four very useful and easily selectable modes of operation: normal drilling for wood and for paint stirring/plaster mixing; hammer drilling for concrete, brickwork, etc.; fixed chiselling when control of the chisel angle is important; and, free chiselling when it’s OK for the chisel to turn as it encounters resistance. In each mode the speed can be controlled by varying the pressure on the trigger or by turning the speed control dial and locking the trigger in the On position – very useful for long operations like plaster mixing. Then there’s the reversing switch, which makes extraction of drills stuck in wood so much easier. Finally, the side handle can be easily locked in any positron for better control of the drill. In operation, the hammer action is very efficient, making chiselling operations effortless. All in all, a great tool and the fifth from this maker I’ve been impressed with, others being their RAGE3-S+ Multi-Purpose Sliding Mitre Saw, their Mitre Saw Stand with Extensions, their RAGE1-B Multi-Purpose Circular Saw and their Diamond Blade for cutting concrete etc. – and I suspect it won’t be my last. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI bought this specifically for the chisel function to do some minor brick and concrete removal but also used the hammer drill function on the same job. I was concerned at first that the chisel function was broken as holding onto the chisel and pressing go I could feel only a minor vibration, as per other reviews. However the chisel function only gets going properly when you push this thing up against the material to be removed. It then works well at this function, as does the hammer drill. The manual is rubbish and should tell you this. Dropping one star for this reason.

I’ve only used it on one job and it made short work of it. I will use this rather than my Bosch drill on any future jobs requiring hammer function.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAfter a few years of heavy use the trigger unit failed on my previous one and it cost the same to buy a new one as replace the trigger.
I’ve used it to break up an old steel reinforced concrete slab that formed the roof of an out-house (couldn’t use a sledge hammer), channel out for back-boxes and conduit (old hard brick and breezeblock), remove floor/wall tiles and it’s coped nicely with everything I’ve thrown at it. Get the most use now as a hammer drill. I’m always reminded how well it works when I have to go back to a standard hammer drill for the odd job instead.
Only bad point is it’s incredably noise, so ear protection is a must.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersThis is an amazing, quality, all purpose drilling machine. I am thoroughly impressed with the machine and cannot fault it yet in any way, a very rugged and ergonomic design and quality cable.
Having read several negative comments here I have come to the conclusion that they should not be allowed to use this kind of equipment without adult supervision. The extra power it has over “branded” units is very apparent when it’s dropping a 20mm hole through concrete composite. It’ll also add extra width by plunging 25-32 bits down a predrilled 20mm hole without any stress. You just needed be commonsensical about speed settings. As with all SDS units allow drill to do the work and apply only supportive pressure, for best results.
Instructions are pretty poor and arranged at people with previous experience in operating similar machinery. If this machine will fail at any time in the future it would most likely be down to the trigger/speed assembly breaking. This is a standard failing on this kind of machine, BUT enclosed handle design eliminates direct damage.
Brush or blow off after user to keep workings clean
Useful case, but it won’t last too long.
Overall: For 54.00 you can’t go wrong and it will last most people a lifetime.
