Lovely bird, suitable for all ages. My kids loved it. It got many sensors to detect movement, sound, touch and light. A true interactive companion. Battery last forever; been using it for last 4 weeks and no issues with batteries. Bird has attractive colours and mimics real bird voice. Love the house with this bird signing all day along.

Hope you found this review helpful.

I have read some of the reviews and found one or two really distressing because the expectations of this mechanical robotic cat were so high that they found it a let-down. It’s not a real cat and won’t replace one entirely. I’m a cat-lover, and when we lost our older cat It broke my heart, so I bought the silver and white cat against the time we lose our younger one and we feel we are getting to the stage where a cat may outlive us. The cat’s meow ~is~ loud, but then, I’m deaf and for an older (than me!) person who is perhaps very hard of hearing they will hear this, and maybe won’t hear all the whirring and clicks that go with the movement. All that said, and accepting that it is a toy for grown-ups, I occasionally pick mine up and set it going to make sure it’s still working well, and I do cuddle it. The body isn’t flexible and won’t mould to yours as a real cat’s would, but someone who is lonely may find it a great comfort to them as they sit with it on their lap and stroke it. I’m sure when our real cat dies, my ‘joy for all’ cat will be a comfort to me.

If you’re lonely, I can’t recommend this enough. Sadly I lost my husband 6 months ago, within weeks of moving to a new area miles away from friends or family. Consequently I have been feeling very isolated & lonely & after reading reviews, decided to give this a go. I was rather apprehensive about the price but am so glad I took the chance. Even if you aren’t stroking it, it sits letting out occasional barks & yelps which makes you feel that you have some company. It does sound mechanical when it turns it’s head but you tend not to notice it. Can’t comment on battery life as I’ve only had him for 4 days but I think for the price it would be a nice gesture on the seller’s part to include a pack of spares.

Golden Review Award: 89 From Our UsersWe saw this cat advertised on Breakfast TV and instantly thought it’d be a great birthday present for our 93year old Mum.

Even though we thought this cat would be good for Mum, we were also prepared for it to be rejected.

What we weren’t expecting was the delight and instant connection she made with her new companion.
Her joy and the smile on her face told us we had just given her the best present she could have had on her 93rd birthday.

Its been 3 weeks now and the cat is still getting more attention than anyone. Mum loves it and is very protective over it.

I highly recommend this product, it was money well spent.

I do agree with other customer comments that the mechanical noise when the cat moves might put some people off.

BUT…. I am so pleased I made this purchase. If I had listened to the negative comments my Mum would never have met her “Purrfect” companion 🙂

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBefore purchasing I had read numerous reviews ,good and bad, as I was concerned about paying so much money for a ‘toy’ cat. I looked at other options in the local children’s toy store which weren’t much cheaper, but still continued to return to Joy for All option. Even when I completed my purchase I prayed that I wouldn’t be disappointed or that my loved one wouldn’t be offended or dismissive of my birthday gift. It was for a Gran who I haven’t been able to visit for 14months due to Covid closing the carehomes.
I could not have anticipated my grans reaction to her new pet. She has taken to it with so much love and attention that it fills my heart with so much warmth to know how endeared she is to it. She happily chats away with her cat, tells her she’s a bonnie wee thing with a smile across her face that would melt your heart. Warning though, the cat can be quite a handful. The carehome manager did make us aware that my gran brought the cat to them in the middle of the night ,telling the to throw it in the canal because it kept jumping on her bed and waking her up.
I would highly recommend this item for your loved one. I am currently raising funds to purchase more for my grans carehome because it has been so well received by all the residents and brightened up their days.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersBought this for my father in laws 86th birthday. He was delighted, but my mother in law has fallen in love with it, it resembles their beloved cat Jazzy who passed a year or so ago, we all think the cat is lovely with a strangely expressive face, it is responsive to touch and natural petting movements, the meow is quite loud but can easily be muted, whilst muted the vibrapurr is still audible and my in laws were visibly relaxed and enthralled whilst the cat was being cuddled. Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI got this for my elderly mother in law, who has early dementia and misses having a real dog. This battery operated toy dog is really cute, it barks, pants, wags it’s tail, turns its head, blinks its eyes, and is very realistic looking. My mother in law absolutely loves it, and strokes and talks to it. The batteries have lasted a month before running out, which is good as the dog is left switched on all the time. I can really recommend this for an elderly person, or someone with learning difficulties. Quite expensive but definitely worth it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAlthough this item was rather costly, I have to say it was worth every penny. I gave this to my mum which has stage 6 alzheimers and she absolutely loved it. The way it interacts with you and purrs is amazing. It literally brought ‘joy’ to my mum. Its fur is thick and soft and its eyes are very lifelike. It does make loud whirring sounds when it rolls over but that is to be expected. Additional bonus is you can turn off the meowing and marvel as the cat silently meows with its mouth open which my 12 year old daughter thought was hilarious. Only hope my mum does not try to feed it! would highly recommend.

This is a lovely ” companion” for people with Dementia., who are accustomed to having cats around them but are no longer able to respond appropriately to their” living pet”‘s wants/needs.
However we have had most fun with this cat when the grandchildren are around – the toy becomes a focus for continued positive “relationships” between them and their grandfather, who sadly finds participation in “new” experiences difficult.

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersMy mother wanted a real cat, but as she has dementia she wouldn’t be able to look after one. This comes a close second. To me his face isn’t very realistic and his coat is a bit harsh and he feels a bit bony. Also, he clicks and whirrs a bit. However,my mother adores him and strokes him a lot. His actions and voice are realistic and sometimes he miaows or yawns even when you are not near to him, which makes him seem even more realistic.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersI bought this for my elderly mother who would like a dog, but couldn’t cope with actually looking after one. She is on her own and doesn’t have dementia, but he has become her companion. She enjoys talking to ‘wags’ and his responses to make her laugh. She feels that she has a friend and it encourages her to use her voice.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersMy 88 year old mum, who has moderate Alzheimer’s, absolutely loves this cat, and really enjoys stroking it to make it purr and miaow. She insists that all visitors say hello to it. Everyone else considers it rather creepy, with its glassy green eyes, its hard plastic ears and paw pads, and the loud miaow which sounds like a person pretending to be a cat. Not to mention the noticeable whirring of the mechanism while the cat is moving. Luckily my mum is very deaf!

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersI purchased this for my 8 year old godson who has ADHD , he loved it straight away and had a calming effect on him. So although it was an expensive gift I feel it was worth the money if it assists his condition.
