Much Sturdier once Filled with Soil

Approximately 450L compost. If you place it in a garden, it is recommended to fix it from below with a mouse wire. You don’t have to fill everything up with expensive compost. 2/3 of the soil or leaves and grass clippings, 1/3 use compost. There are good tips on the Internet for detailed operation steps.

Galvanized Treatment

All metal shows rust eventually, however our panels are treated galvanized both inside and out, which means that it has better anti-rust performance. It can be used outdoors for a long time.

I am a big fan of raised beds in the garden. I currently have six raised beds edged with wood and one made of metal.

This one is assembled quickly and easily — lots of screws to be put in place and a spanner is needed. Some reviewers have said that they thought it a big flimsy. After assembly it is not completely rigid but once it is put in place on the ground and filled with compost then I think there will be no problem with it. It is made of galvanized steel so should be rust proof.

Its measurements are 120cm x 90cm x 30cm. It is not as long as my other beds but is deeper so will be very useful. I have begun to fill in by putting cardboard at the base and adding grass cuttings. I will gradually add home-made compost when it is available.

    Very pleased with this item.

    Watch your fingers!

    Perfect for gardening.

This comes self assembly but can be put together in minutes (better with 2 people). I give 4 stars because it is a bit flimsy when constructed but once in place in the garden it looks really good. I have used 4 x 50 L of potting soil in mine and planted easy to grow (such as raddish) seeds and am awaiting results. Makes just that bit of interest in the garden where we are all spending more time right now. Very good value, the metal is not thick but no reason it will not last for years and the bright green colour is very cheery.

Just what I wanted, a bit fiddly with all the screws etc but okay.

This is a pretty good raised bed for your veg patch. A little bit thin and flimsy but once the soil is in I think it will be fine. A lot of nuts & bolts to put it together 4 in each corner so best to hold the nut with a spanner and screw the bolt in with a cross head screw driver. The size is just right for a newly started grower like me. I see this priced between 35 to 40.

A great size for the bottom of our garden.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersYou get a green steel raised bed of maybe half a square meter and depth of about a third of a meter. Assembly is simple, but tedious, due to the use of bolts and square nuts, 16 in total, holding together a flimsy frame. Square nuts? It’s a long time since I last saw these skin breakers!

Finally, as the frame is so flimsy, four metal stakes are used to anchor it to the soil below, before you fill it with soil. You will need about 200 litres of compost to fill it.

My msin concern will be durability. Only time will tell.
