This is a good, sturdy walker- it doesn’t feel like it will tip over when weight is placed on the handle. The handle is a good height for beginning walkers and the rubber around the rim of the wheels stops them from sliding on hard floors. It is possible to tighten the wheels to create more friction and slow the walker down but this is quite fiddly without the right tools. It would have been helpful if something was provided with the toy or if this mechanism could have been more straightforward to use. There is a good range of colours and shapes in the blocks, thought the paint did not stand up my toddler putting them in his mouth. The paint bled very easily, staining his clothes and skin. If you have smallies who might put the pieces in their mouth, I would therefore only recommend this for supervised play.

    Multifunctional toddler toy

Got this for my baby’s first birthday. It’s perfect. He loves it. He plays with the trolly and bricks daily. It gave him lots of confidence in learning to walk.

This is a lovely trolly & bricks, it really catches the eye. Our grandson absolutely loved it on first sight, 5 months on it’s still his most played with toy. It is solid, moves easily but doesn’t run away. The different shapes and colours look great and are very appealing to little ones. It is more expensive than a lot of similar walkers but it is good quality and just that bit different, well worth the money

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersHighly recommended. Well built, strong, sturdy, durable, stable, colourful, education and safe. These are all words you need to look for when researching baby walkers. I previously bought and returned two wooden baby walkers (see my other reviews) and they were both dangerous in the own different ways. This one may have cost a bit more but it’s light years ahead of the others in terms of build quality. It’s incredibly stable, meaning your little one can use it to pull themselves up. Once up and walking it’s very stable, just try and speed away from them and gives them enough weight to adjust their balance if they wobble. Our 9 month old loves it, as does our dog, she’s not strong enough yet to turn it when she hits a wall or cupboard but she’s working on the and getting there. Kudos to the manufacturer for putting an outline of the blocks in the base too so parents can always reset it to look nice.

THIS is the one to buy.

I spent a long time searching for a wooden activity walker for our daughter since we do not allow plastic toys within our home. I had my eye on this one for awhile and was excited to order it now that she was developmentally ready for it.

When we opened the box to put it together I was very disappointed to see that this was not made from solid wood. For the price point I would have figured it would be made of solid wood. Maybe this is mentioned in the description but I didn’t see it. One of the rings that goes on the handle bar was also broken. After getting it put together we also noticed that the gears that turn together are not situated close enough to each other so that they are constantly getting caught and won’t turn. It is easy for an adult to fix it but annoying none the less.

All in all my daughter loves this. She is 10 months and will sit and play with it for a good 20 minutes before getting bored. She also loves to pile toys into the back. Once she starts walking I know she will enjoy it even more.

It is very cute I just wish the quality was better for the price you pay!

Quality should be better for price

This is another excellent toy from Le Toy Van. It is made from lovely, chunky wood with smooth edges and a nice colour palette. I like how the trolley base has the shape outlines to aid tidying up. The main negative it that it pushes along very quickly/can tip up meaning it is best suited to confident walkers rather than as a push along for babies.

Lots to like about this walker.

I love the colours and design. It’s eye catching, and so much nicer than the super brightly coloured plastic ones which always look a bit tacky no matter how well they’re made or designed. As someone who is always trying to reduce plastic in the home, and especially plastic toys (because let’s face it, they rarely have the durability that plastic toys once did due to manufacturers continuously look to cut costs and increase profit margins), I really appreciate a well made wooden toy and this is no exception. Yes, it is a bit on the pricey side, however, it is well made enough to last, and even perhaps even to pass on to the next generation. It’s the kind of toy that can be used multiple ways – as imaginative building blocks, for educational shape and colour recognition, as a walker, pushchair for teddy….it’s whatever a child wants it to be.

Personally, as a walker for a very young toddler who is only just walking, I don’t think it’s supportive enough even with all the blocks in. I can’t see how it would bear their weight if they lent on it for support to balance themselves and could easily be tipped forward towards them, but a confident walker is unlikely to have this issue

Another beautiful eye catching design by Le Van Toy in a rainbow coloured baby walker. On opening you can immediately see the quality and craftsmanship that has gone into this range. Made from wood and painted in beautiful pastel colours. This item encourages both play and walking by having to holding something on to to develop their motor skills. This is an unique item I haven’t seen anything like it before. The building blocks are great for small hands and will help build hand eye coordination as well as colours. I think this would make an excellent gift.

This is a very classy trolley; sturdy, good-looking, hard to tip over, with some very well-made bricks. Every child needs a trolley like this one, and you probably won’t find a nicer one. But – and this is a big but for busy parents – the arrangement of the bricks in the trolley is like a jigsaw puzzle. No 1-2-year-old would be able to put them back properly, and the last thing a parent needs after a play session is a complicated pattern of bricks to arrange. I don’t know what the answer is, except that I do wonder whether a toddler really needs various shapes of bricks. My own children (I got this for a grandchild) were quite happy with square bricks, and by the time they were ready for multiple shapes, they no longer played with a trolley. But the mother said it “looks lovely in the nursery”, so if you want an attractive toy, look no further.

My little 2 yr old friend absolutely loves this cart. He pushes it around with a beaming face and stacks the blocks making all sorts of patterns. He likes to stack the blocks into high towers. The blocks are safe – no sharp edges or corners. The quality of this toy is first class. Very well designed and constructed.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++

    Absolutely Love I

This is a sturdy, well-designed baby walker. It requires minimal assembly — a small hex key and 4 bolts are supplied, though you will need a crosshead screwdriver for the handle. The instruction leaflet is clear, but it’s not really necessary.

The positioning of the handle assembly is well thought out; it’s just to the rear of centre for maximum stability, so it is difficult to topple — even if toddlers pull themselves up by it.
The wooden wheels have rubber inserts and rotate freely, even on thick carpet. All components are nicely rounded, so no corners to fall upon.

We love the duplication of the shapes on the base of the truck — it makes replacing the blocks at tidy-up time so much quicker for the adult! Also, for those early geniuses, there’s a little bit of science in the arrangement of the colours of the blocks — which represent the colours of the rainbow, from red through to violet.

Finally, a word about the packaging; it made a pleasant change not to have copious amounts of plastic/bubble wrap.
This is a lovely aid for babies learning to balance and walk — I can’t fault it.

    Sturdy and very well-designed.

I have to admit I found it a little tricky to put this together at first but once I got HH head around it really was quite easy. The push along looks so gorgeous and not like any other I’ve seen and is very happily unisex in this colour scheme. The finish on the wood is good and the blocks are lovely and tactile and made well too. Thankfully Le toy van are ethical in manufacture and the products aren’t tacky plastic which makes them more appealing and better for the planet.

This is an absolutely lovely walker, which is suitable for children 12 months and older. My two and half year old granddaughter absolutely loves this but she’s really into building stuff at the moment, so whilst she doesn’t need the walker to help her walk she loves building things and knocking them down and then she takes her ‘babies’ for a walk in the walker. It’s really well made and is virtually indistructable, a little expensive but I think you get what you pay for. Her soon to be new baby brother will also get hours of fun from this when he’s ready to play with it.

I couldn’t recommend this toy more. It’s sturdy and well made, easy to assemble (just the handle needs constructing) and absolutely beautiful to look and and touch.

I intended this for my 1 year old godson, but when we presented it to him my 6yo daughter and 3yo son also had hours of fun making towers and houses with the blocks and then trying to put them back into the frame as per the printed pattern.

Just to cap off the massive success, the 1 yo then confidently took a stroll across the front room holding the walker casually with one hand (purple brick gripped firmly in the other). He was so pleased with himself!

Definitely recommend this and will be getting more as presents any time friends and family have a toddler – lovely toy!

Very good quality wooden walker. There is a rubber ring on each wheel so the walker moves smoothly and slowly. The colour of the wooden blocks are bright and light. No sharp corner, no odour, no tiny pieces. Under the wooden blocks on the walks is a picture guide for the blocks , which I think it’s a very thoughtful design so you don’t have to worry if you can’t put the blocks back. Highly recommend.

This is even better than it looks in the photos above. After minimal construction (two screws and two bolts – the Allen key is supplied but not the cross-head screwdriver, which you will need), the walker is ready for use. It’s well-made, well-designed and very strong – and it works perfectly. It was immediately taken to by out sixteen-month old grandson, Thomas. He spent ages with the multi-coloured bricks and then pushed it around the lounge, even though he currently prefers doing this on his knees, it’s clear that he’ll soon be walking with it. It’s the best toy we’ve got for him yet, and best of all -no plastic in sight! This is constructed from solid wood in the traditional way.

The bricks are multi-shaped and also all made from wood and painted well in a range of bright colours. The bottom of the box has shapes marked on it to show where each block goes – something for when he’s older, no doubt and fun for us adults, too.

All-in-all, this is a first class, traditional – and traditionally made – child’s toy that is well worth the asking price.

This is just lovely, the actual trolley is in the shape of a cloud and then there are lots of lovely rainbow coloured bricks- all of the paint work is finished nicely and the colours are bright. There are plenty of bricks to build with.
There is some assembly required and there is an Allen key in the box, it is very easy to assemble. It feels really sturdy, it doesn’t get pushed over easily and it feels like it could go through generations of children.
    Would make a lovely gift.

It is one of the more expensive walkers on the market but it shows why in its quality. It’s not cheap plywood walker like you’d buy from a local supermarket, it was easy to assemble and my niece & daughter enjoyed building with the bricks. Hopefully it will help guide my niece to take her first steps. The multicoloured blocks are great for improving fine motor skills and imagination play, I think the age range could be higher than two as my daughter is nearly 3 and she still enjoyed it and had her baby in the cloud as a pram.

I’ve never bought anything like this, normally any walkers/push alongs I buy are made of plastic. The quality of this is honestly amazing, it’s very robust, My little girl doesn’t use it as a walker as such but I can imagine with a smaller child it would be perfect to push along without getting away from them. She loves the stacking blocks and played with them for hours when we first opened it and even enjoyed trying to rearrange them back into the walker.
I really like this, but my only gripe is the price, it’s really expensive for what it is and based on this, I wouldn’t personally purchase one.

We received this wooden walker today and absolutely love it!
It’s going to be our boys first birthday present so we only build it up to make sure everything is in order.
The colours of the wooden blocks ere stunning. There are many different shapes of blocks so my boy will have hours and hours of fun playing with it. The wooden walker seems sturdy and was easy to build up and down. The quality of the wood is superb and we couldn’t be any happier.
We are all into wooden toys however our boy has plastic toys also but we definitely prefer wooden ones especially now that he gets a little older.

A beautifully made walker, pretty coloured Bloks, definitely recommend. The only downside was how it was sent, it wasn’t covered or wrapped, just the box as it was with a hole in the side and untidy edges, luckily the toy wasn’t damaged but if this was a gift I wouldn’t be happy.

Beautiful toy, shame about the box upon delivery.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAs a very particular person, attention to detail is something I am known to never overlook.

We love this walker, the colours are pretty pastels, akin to strolling along a vintage pastel coloured street, in Southern France.

Very well thought out old fashioned walker, made with sturdy and high quality pieces of sustainable wood. With neat little rubber rings on the four wheels to avoid our precious little one from slipping and falling by allowing better control, particularly in our home of mostly hard floors. Very chic and well designed. Better looking than some of the modern day gaudy offerings.

The pieces fit loosely into their allocated slots, which are printed onto the wood – this is good forsight by the design team. It is inconvenient when the child is trying to put the pieces neatly into position, but it means there’s room for error, especially when I need to quickly put the pieces back after play.

    Negatives

On our stone floors, I found that the rubber rings on the wheels – which aren’t glued: twist off when our little one pulls the walker in any direction, apart from forwards and backwards (see before and after pic).

The wheels are also a bit wobbly, even after tightening with the tool provided in the kit.

I think 70 is on the steep side but it is a pretty thing that will age gracefully and will still be usable when your little darlings are around six as the building blocks type puzzle will keep their interest. The Walker bar is removable too.
Very giftable for both boys and girls.

If the flaws above are rectified it would, most certainly fall into the high-end price range. But with the few “loose ends” I’d say it’s quite an expensive investment.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a well made wooden push along Toy. The building bricks are colourful and solid. None are small enough to be a choking hazard.

My 5 yr old grand daughter loves fitting the bricks onto the framing in the walker. The bricks can be played with or without the walker.

    The walker is very solid.

Although I thought this was expensive I do believe this is one of those toys that can be passed through the generations as it really is solid.

Easy to put together. An Allen key is supplied but I had to look fir a screwdriver to put two different screws provided into the handle.

This is an extremely sturdy and well made baby walker, which is filled with blocks, to add to the fun. Although this is expensive, I was very impressed with this. It is easy to make and difficult to tip, even when baby pulled herself up by the handle, so safe, stable and strong.

The bricks are different sizes, shapes and colours, meaning that there is plenty of scope for the imagination – to build and create, as well as take the blocks out, and put them in again (endlessly fascinating for my little great-niece). This is expensive, but it will last and can be handed down to her younger sister. Excellent quality and great support for early walking.

This is a really cute wooden toy set. Perfect for a gift for a toddler. It’s well made and the colours don’t rub off which was my only concern. The blocks been different shapes are brilliant for little minds. They can build things on the floor or use it as a puzzle to get them all back in again. I would say that it’s quite expensive but on the other hand it’s good quality.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNot the cheapest around but really great quality. And you get loads of quality, brightly coloured bricks.

The handle is relatively upright which means it’s pretty well impossible for my child to topple it over.

Rubberised wheels mean it doesn’t slip on wooden floors. The rubber does have a tendency to pop out after a bit of use but this is very minor.

Overall the design and build is really solid. It’s heavy enough that it isn’t going to topple easily.

The bricks are solid wood and the paint doesn’t chip or wear with use. They’re a great size for little hands.

Really the only problem with this is that it’s so good my 2 year old daughter keeps wanting to “share” it and all the bricks with my son…

If you’re not sure because of the price tag, we’ll all I can say is that for me the extra was really worth it for the quality.

What is particularly impressive, though, is how incredibly stable it is. Even when I put a lot of weight on the handle, it didn’t tip at all, so this is going to be a great help for my granddaughter getting up on her feet and starting to walk.
