Great easy to empty bin with a great compartment for recycling.

These bins look really smart in the kitchen. Are easy to clean and the automatic swipe of hand opening and closing never ceases to amuse. Don’t work to close to the bins or they open when not required. Seperate compartments mean recycling easy to sort. The divided side is a little unstable but works fine.

The bin is great, really spacious but compact design. Shame they can’t design the packaging betted as we had lost of cardboard that we had to take to the tip

The size of the bins are good, and the touch free lid lift works well, however the quality of the bins is questionable, one of the smaller bins is slightly bent at the top so you have to squeeze in the frame to put the bin lid on properly, and the bottom bin when pushed in on the metal rail is off centre therefore it looks untidy when closing the bin. This was disappointing considering the cost of the bins.

Good set of bins with sensors at the top which is so handy when you have your hands full of rubbish.

Different sized bins means its super easy to sort out the recycling

The bins look good and quite stylish however the material they are made out of is quite thin so not sure how long they’ll last.

Although I like them I do feel they are overpriced at 189.99 – this would be justified if the material used was more robust and you still have to buy batteries

Design is really modern. The opening functionality is the best we have had from a sensor bin. Whilst there is a 5 second timer to close you can also keep the lid open for longer which makes it more practical

Will be getting a third when we can afford, if you had told me in my 20s I’d be spending this much on bins I’d have laughed, but here I am.

Anyway see video for lid demo
I have no idea how long the batteries will last but I will make a note of when they need changing and if it is less than 3 months I’ll update this review to let yuy know.

The fact that the lid does not need touching to open is a big plus foe me, also that it closes itself in 5 seconds.

The 5 year guarantee is reassuring.

We had a number of bins and crates indoors for our waste and recycling and this system has replaced the lot, making our house neater and still doing our bit!

I think the sensor lids are a bit gimmicky but they work fine – as long as the unit isn’t pushed too far back under the counter top.

The system for keeping bin bags in place is nifty and effective and so much easier than previous bins.

The system is on the expensive side but I’m hoping it will prove durable.

Like these bins for the fact they can be stacked in different combinations. Nice size too snd make the job of recycling much easier! Not too bulky so can fit neatly in my kitchen layout . Yes a good set of bins all in all .

he stainless;ss steel is good quality, the plastic retaining rings, will need to see how they last over time in a busty household. ?I suspect that they won’t last. also, the metal is thin, so whilst the bins are good quality, I do think they could be better for the price.

Edit 20/06/22: owned the bins for just over a year. One the opening mechanism has died on completely. The Tower site is utter cack so can’t see if I could make some sort of warranty claim. Opened up the lid myself to see what has gone wrong, basically there’s a spring that sits inside a slot on the opening bar. It’s glued in, so when the glue fails the bin no longer opens. Also the bins have loads of small gaps and ridges that get gunged up with bin juice. So are a bugger to clean.

    Really wish I hadn’t bothered.

The fact you don’t have to have these all grouped together is great, I have a really small galley style Kitchen and I have the tall bit in one place and the other double unit near my back door. Will hopefully see the mechanisms last longer than a year of a similar bin I had that gave up the ghost once warranty ran out! Smaller lids on these so should be good. Bin sizes are good and looks stylish too. Overall as far as bins go it comes highly recommended.

I was so skeptical about these automatic bins until I got this. So happy with it and love how I don’t have to touch the bin every time I put something in. Easy to just wave your hand over it, it opens up, you drop in your rubbish then it automatically closes 5 seconds later. Good quality would definitely recommend

What I like about this Recycling System is the design and that is great for have separate containers, plus you can choose the way that you want to storage, so they will suit any kitchen or garage, but main the size is very big.

The sensor working well and sometimes you pass nearby and the lid opens.
When I have to empty is a bit annoying and not a very clever system, because I have to clean it and washed sometimes, so I recommend placing a bag in every container is so much easy.

They need 3 AA batteries, but they are easy to place. You can choose Stainless Steel or Premium Black, I choose the black I think is more elegant. Is a bit overpriced, but is a great system.

+ Good design with three separate bins for recyclables, general waste and the compostable
+ The sensors work well and we have been using it for a month on the same batteries with frequent use
+ Large bottle bin is good for bulky recycling items
    + Reasonable quality

    Not so good
    – Thin metal side, easily dented
    – A bit fiddly to fit the bin liners
    – A bit too pricey

This is a lot larger than I was expecting. I’d say you’d need a big kitchen to find somewhere for to live. However it’s a really well made, good quality recycling bin and I’ve found it really handy to have. A little pricy but for the size I suppose it’s not too bad.

We love this unit makes it easy to organize our recycling. I know cost more money but it is useful. The quality is better than that I have last one.

The motion detection works great with battery power (so don’t need to have it plugged in). Like the it opens for several seconds and then closes on it’s own which is great when you have wet or full hands and don’t want to get the lid dirty every time you want to open it.

Very easy to load a new bag onto the rim and the bag holder seems to work fine. It is stainless steel so I use the wipes to keep the bin clean and shiny. This bin can be an added upgrade to your kitchen if you have stainless steel appliances.

I could give 10 stars because this thing has changed my life !!! My husband NEVER close any lid so now don’t need to worry about the bin cause it closes itself !!! I hate when I’m cooking and have my hands dirty and hit open de bin to
Throw something, now I just get close and the lead open I don’t have to touch ANYTHING!!
Another thing really nice is that my kitchen is small and the tower shape saves my life, it has a lot of room for the bin divided in 3 parts !!
Super easy to clean , has weels on the bottom part
    I’m more then pleased!

I loved the idea of this when I first got it but very quickly I realised it was thought through properly.

    Plus Points:
It’s enormous and you can re-cycle to your hearts content before you’ll need to empty this
easy to use and very obvious what you can segregate for re-cycling.

Down Points: It’s Huge … couldn’t find anywhere to put this. We’re not Americans with great big houses and you’ll need a walk in larder, pantry to put this in. It’s not like a small unobtrusive bin in the corner … so where to put it? Outside
When you realise it needs to live outside then you realise this isn’t made from durable Matt plastic like your wheelie bin and you can see within days the rain and weather and going to make this look very tatty very quickly. Don’t buy this unless you have looooaaaaads of room.

A good idea, plenty of volume to put your rubbish/recycling items in.
I popped batteries in the main lid to see how long they would last rechargeable ones that didn’t have a full charge. After 12 days still working fine.

It comes in a very large box but is quite lightweight, the missing star is mainly for the price it’s maybe a little too expensive for what it is.

Good waste bin, easy to use and clean, large capacity 60 litres.
Sometimes it is a bit hard to remove the waste bag, depending on how much waste has in, I use it for recycling.
It has wheels under so it is easy to move.
Sensors and touch works well, lid opens when motion is detected above the sensor and closes after 5 seconds, can be opened and closed with the touch buttons placed on each side of the display.
As expected it makes some noise but not very disturbing.

Requires 3 AA batteries (not included) I used non-rechargeable batteries and still works, so it doesn’t use too much of the power, anyway I recommend using rechargeable batteries.

On/off switch and battery compartment is located under the lid.

*I hope you find this review helpful.

Easy to clean, low power consumption (requires 3 AA batteries)

he bin is very expensive for what it is, ist basically a normal bin but with an automatic opening lid.. its very small too, it comes with a draw at the bottom that you can pull out and the top with an automatic lid, both are very small, I can not use this in my kitchen just because it fulls up way to fast, it would be best used as bathroom bin.

This bin has 3 separate compartments which is great for separating the garbage for recycling. Each compartment has a motion sensory to open and close the lids which is battery operated this is a great feature S you don’t have to touch the bin and dirty your hands whilst cooking in the kitchen. The big is large in size but due to the design compact three bins in one which ends up saving on space.
The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of5 is due to the large price label. 170 for something to store rubbish in is a bit excessive in my option although you do get a quality product.

These bins are great! Yes a bit on the pricey side, but a fantastic idea. They come in chrome or black. There are 2 smaller bins on top which are 25l each, they sit on the larger bin and slot into grooves. Both of the top bins are operated/opened by floating your hand over the top of them, the bin sensor goes off and the bin opens, it stays open for a little while and then closes on its on, or there is a little button to press to make it close. Each smaller bin uses 3 x AA batteries. The bottom bin which is 50L is a pull out bin. As I said fantastic design, you can have one for general waste, one for tins and glass and one for plastic, nice and easy for recycling. I really like these bins.

Looks so stylish and being automatic it makes is so hygienic for use. Also the bottom section is great for slightly larger recycling like bottles. I personally use it for household waste in top section and recycling in bottom. This bin is big enough for a family of 4 for a week.

These bins look really nice in the kitchen which came as a set of 3, the main bin is taller than our old bin but still holds 60L but takes up less room which is good H72 x W25 x D33cm (Liner W45 x H90cm) which has a sensor that opens the lid quickly and remains open for 5 seconds then closes, getting the bin liner out just remove the lid and the two plastic inserts which hold the liner in place and pull the bag straight up. The two other recycling bins are 25L each H35 x W25 x D33cm (Liner W45 x H50cm) the top bin also has a sensor and works the same as the main bin, the second recycling bin just pulls out to fill up and empty. These bins are from stainless steel and a finger proof coating that does work so keeping them looking good.

This bin is quite stylish and with it’s rectangular shape, fits well in the corner of the kitchen. It has an inner ring, which you use to secure your bin bag in place, so it doesn’t slip down as you fill the bin. The sensor is touch open and close, and also has a 5 second timer, so it automatically closes if you don’t close it (however, my timer stopped working for some reason and just flashes now and goes off?). The bin requires 3 AA batteries (not included) to work. It has a reasonable capacity too, even in our 6 person house hold. It is stable and sturdy.

    Really cool trash bin!
    1. Automated opening and closing works well, one needs to just move near the trash bin to make it open!
    2. Automated opening and closing can be switched off
    3. Perfect mechanism to hide the edges of the bin bag, as you see on the picture only bin is visible!
    4. Keeps smell inside the bin, which is great!

    Cons:
    1. Bin runs on batteries, they are not supplied and i think they should for the ease of set up…

    Recommended!

Is it a must have? I think so, it changed my cooking for better, I use it as kitchen bin and anyone who tried to throw away pieces of food from different surfaces will now how priceless ja auto opening when your hands are busy with other dirty things and you try not to drip any of it on the floo

I was at the end of my tether with the dogs bin raiding. I couldn’t take it anymore and then these bins came up.

I almost passed them over because I dont like a big bin the kitchen, and also I have a small kitchen.

But the dogs bin raiding was getting to be and the bins looked ideal and so I go the tape measure out and found a spot they would fit.

I have tried a sensor bin before, but he just opened that, he loved it, it made bin raiding even easier. I do actually have a dog proof bin but apparently its also husband proof, opening a cupboard door was just too much effort.

So being honest the price made my eyes water, i had no idea that bins were so expensive, but then I haven’t brought one in about a decade (other than the little sensor one the dog loved) and i seem to remember that my not fancy cupboard bin was actually pricey for its time. But I have since been looking round and actually they are a reasonable price. But just still wow. I will freely admit though that they have saved my sanity and i dont think a cheap option would have worked or fitted in the space so nicely.

The black is a nice mat colour and therefore no finger print marks etc that you would get with stainless/chrome but they do attract dust and dander as you can see from the pictures (I have multiple pets so just accept a certain amount of fluff) but on the whole are easy to keep clean and nice looking.

They fit well into my small kitchen and do not dominate the space. We have been using them for a while as we really wanted to make sure they are dog proof. Yep. Sanity restored and bin raiding stopped, the toxic farts have been reduced (the dog, the husband doesn’t raid bins). Unless you have a very large dog I imagine these would stop the majority in their tracks.

The two smaller bins sit nicely stacked. The bottom one is a pull out drawer, we use this for recycling and the top one sits well and securely, its not been knocked off despite dogs and small boys best efforts. I use the top smaller one for general rubbish (i do not like to store lots of general waste in the house, especially the kitchen, its a hang up from my Mum who thought big kitchen bins were disgusting and unsanitary. Now you can understand my general hesitance at getting this set up, its a big bin).

The bins have a retaining collar for the bin liners and these work very well, no drips between bag and bin. With a little care you can actually get the bag completely hidden in the bin but to be honest that’s just a little bit too much effort for me.

I find that the sensors work fine, they are responsive and smooth, you can wave a hand over or press the buttons. They have a timer to self close. I haven’t had a problem with them at all and I have a small boy that likes to put one thing at a time into the bin because he likes setting the sensor off. Each of the sensor units take 2 AA batteries. The instructions do say to not manually open the bin as you could then damage the mechanism.

I use the large section for larger recycling items – we get a lot of boxes, its a great place to quickly stash them so I dont have to keep going out to the wheelie bin or overflow when the wheelie bin is full (again we get a lot of boxes).

So overall I do think these bins are worth it. If some had told me that they had spent almost 200 on bins I would have thought they were crazy but having used them they are worth it. Well made, nice little features like the double retaining collars and they actually dont take up that much space.

Easy to keep clean, the large bin is huge. The 5 second timer works great, wave your hand over the sensor, the bin opens and then a visual countdown on the display for 5 seconds before the bin closes itself. If the lid comes into contact with anything while opening it will stop at that height and then begin the countdown to closing. When the smaller bin is on top of the pull out drawer it is a little unstable and wobbles easily. If using them all together as a complete system, the drawer has 2 metal poles at the back for stability which means it is deeper than the bin unit. Due to this you cannot have them both pushed right back to the wall without the smaller bin and drawer sticking out further than the big bin.
Both bin sensors run on 3x AAA batteries and are easy to fit and turn on.

Great bin set, doesn't sit quite flush together though.

Waste containers allow you to conveniently and quickly sort waste. The pull-out bottom container can also be used to store household items. The containers are made of high quality stainless steel. The top lids of containers with sensors open at a distance of about 15 cm, open and close quickly enough. This eliminates the need to touch the containers and keeps your hands clean and hygienic. The containers are sealed, odors are not particularly permeable. Waste containers are good dimensions and are well suited for offices and private homes. The containers are very stylish, ultra-modern and very comfortable. Sensory trash containers make waste disposal comfortable, environmentally friendly and hygienic. A very ingenious thing. Ideal for waste disposal

These bins are stylish and whether you want them in a corner out of the way or as a feature of your kitchen they look good and are easy to wipe down and keep clean. There are 2 25l bins which are sensor operated, each take 3 AA batteries which has quite a considerable impact for eco reasons unless you use rechargeable of course, the larger bin has a handle which pulls out to give a good capacity for paper/cardboard for example. They can be kept stacked which takes up less space and doesn’t impact on opening the bottom bin, or if you prefer (and have the space) you can have them side by side. The bins have a switch inside so can be turned off when cleaning them to save the batteries – and the constant opening, and the lids can easily be lifted by hand if necessary. They perhaps aren’t the sturdiest bins for the money but because of the sensors they perhaps don’t have to be. The sensors can be operated by waving a hand over them, they pop open fairly quickly and there is a 5 second delay counted down with a little red numeric display and then it will close automatically. I do find that passing them by closely is enough to open them but that is because they are in a small space off the kitchen. I really like them because they are smart looking and non-touch operation but the novelty may wear off!

90 seems like a lot to spend on a kitchen bin, but if you are looking to splash out on a fancy kitchen bin, this one is going to hard to beat. First off it looks great! It’s nicely proportioned, the finish is great and it looks super smart. Second – the functionality is spot on. The top section opens quickly and reliably the first time you hold your hand over the sensor and closes quietly and efficiently. I love the fact it’s in two sections, this is ideal if you are short on space. The bottom pull out drawer section works great. It has a long handle so you can just open/close it with your foot and slides out completely so emptying it is very easy. Both sections can be removed easily for emptying. If you are using bin liners, it has ring inserts on each bin so bin bag isn’t visible when the bins are closed. Overall an extremely nice bin.

I’ve bought various items from Tower and some might say I’m quite a fan of their super stylish kitchen products, that for the most part have not let me down. This bin not only looks great but equally functions smoothly. Yes, by that I mean this bin is part of the future tech of being touchless and sensor activated, meaning the bin opens when you want and automatically shuts closed when you’re done. The smooth, polished steel look makes this a classy addition like many other Tower products but as always you must be prepared to pay a bit of a premium.

The reviews have so far been mixed which leave me surprised, the version I refer to is the 60 litre. This bin has a slim, tall design measuring 72cm high and in a smooth black finish. The description mentions this is fingerprint-proof and I can testify to this as a week’s use has left no horrid oily/wet smears or prints on the surface. The bin remains as shiny as first received and easy to clean with a cloth. There is a bin lining tray inside, where the chrome stainless border adds a classy finish. The main feature, for what many are here for and will be paying for, is the sensor activated open and close. There are two icons, open lid and closed lid, and a counter to the top of the lid. To get the sensor lid working, 3 AA batteries were needed and inserted beneath the lid. I advise using rechargeable kinds as I quickly realised opening and closing bins happens a lot more than I thought!

Automatic open and close works on a reasonable 5-second timer, reactivating when sensing a continued presence. I worried this was far too short but after a few days use saw this was perfect, enough to throw rubbish in and still have a few seconds to finish up dusting. Regardless, the sensor reactivates at the sense of movement and extends the period of staying open. This extended timer is a simple yet highly necessary feature that I am glad Tower have maintained. The bin lid can also be closed with the wave of the hand near the closed lid icon. I have been pleased by how quickly the lid flings open and promptly closes as I walk away and the timer has run down. The batteries have lasted for a week now but show signs of running out. Again, this is the acceptable drawback of any sensor bin. The sensor bin has to be battery-powered after all, I recommend using rechargeable AA.

So far I have no complaints with the bin and funnily enough, have come to how a sensor bin is a rational purchase if your out looking for a solid kitchen bin. Being able to have it automatically open and close by movement has made disposing of rubbish more hygienic and convenient. There are no touching surfaces, and thereby the need for frequent cleaning of the bin, as well as the assurance of an always closed kitchen bin. While some may sulk at the need to replace batteries, there remain greater ways to manage battery lifespans. In all, I think the sale price of 50-60 is reasonable when one takes into consideration you get a clean, classy look and size coupled with smart function.

    Super functioning bin!

I have been pleased to sample and test this Tower Freedom Recycling System. The system comprised of
two 25 litre and one sixty litre sensor activated, stainless steel bins.

Recycling is here to stay folks and it not only makes sense to do this but in doing so it assists the process to
be organised. Firstly, they are all lightweight. So although they are robust they are not heavy and easy to
    manoeuvre.

I set up the system as per the website with the 60 litre on one side and the twi 25 litre bins on the other.
The lids are in a black, tough plastic which open and close very easily. They are described as sensitive and
that is correct. Each of the ‘pop-up’ bins take a few seconds to open and close and if you are not quick enough
merely put your hand by the sensor at the top and it will reset .

I particularly like it is a complete system where it will take all recyclable items, it is easy to lodge and simple
    to dispose.

The battery life is somewhat heavy and actually surprising. For that only, I have docked a star.
On the more positive side, I found the system prevented any odours when it is closed, although that said
with the amount of recycling, it is usually emptied daily.

So, overall there is a lot to commend the Tower system, not least that it encourages a mindset of recycling
and this format provides a hygienic way of doing so.

I am absolutely delighted with this sensor bin – not only is it sleek and modern looking and looks great in our kitchen (check out the video) but it’s also a large size and I love the sensor function. The bin arrived well packaged in a separate Amazon box over the box the bin was packaged in but this is necessary as I can imagine that the bin would dent easily in transit if not properly packaged.

Once opened, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and it only took a couple of minutes to set it up by inserting a bin bag and 3 x AA batteries. I’ve been using rechargeable batteries and these have so far lasted a week of rather heavy use and are still going strong. I’ve been using 75 litre capacity bin bags but could probably use bags with a smaller capacity, given the bin’s capacity is 60l. Inserting the bags are easy – just wrap the top of the bag around the perimeter of the detachable lid and then insert a separate section on top of this to keep the bag in place. The lid and separate section that you place over the lid are made from plastic and at first I was concerned that they wouldn’t be strong enough but they’ve been fine.

The sensor function has been very impressive – just place your hand over the sensor on the lid and it opens for you to insert your rubbish. I was initially concerned that the lid would be opening whenever I walked past the bin but that’s not been the case and we’ve hardly had any accidental openings. Once opened, there’s an electronic counter (see video) counting down from 5 seconds before the lid closes again. However, if your hand is still over the sensor then the counter stops and only counts down when your hand is removed so this works very well indeed.

One of the most impressive features for me (as well as the sensor and how good it looks) is that it has a capacity of 60l and yet is only slightly larger than our previous bin which only held 35l. It doesn’t feel too large at all in our kitchen and is just the right size for a family of 4. We filled a large bin bag in around 6 days so for a smaller family, this might take longer and the downside being that waste is lying around in the bin and will start smelling. In this case, best to empty it after 3-4 days regardless of how full it is. Once you lift the bin bag out, the inside of the bin was fairly clean but I wiped around it with a disinfectant wipe just in case.

Given it’s 60l size, the bin is quite lightweight and even has 4 castors for easy movement but I found that you don’t need to wheel it as it’s quite light. One downside of this is that it might dent easily so best to handle it with care.

Overall, I’ve been extremely impressed with this bin and I’m wondering why I didn’t buy a sensor bin or even just a bin that looks as good as this sooner. It’s an excellent buy.

This bin looks fantastic in my kitchen. Its expensive looking with a quality finish and the sensor lid is brilliant and works perfectly. The lid pops up when your hand hovers over it and stays up for 5 seconds with a count down shown on the bin. So ideal when using both hands to take rubbish to the bin. The bin bag is easily fixed into place and you can’t see it once the lid is closed which is great as i hate seeing the bin bag sticking out from bins. My only issue is that it is not particularly heavy and the bin doesn’t feel that robust. I guess time will tell if it with stands the test of time.

This is a great bin for the kitchen, I love it, the design, colour, size and sensor are all fantastic. Highly Recommend.
    1. This is Well made sensor bin, Good quality, Durable and Robust.
    2. Holds a large amount of waste making it ideal for a family households.
    3. Very Easy to Clean and Use- the bin has smart lid, I do a hand swipe over the sensor and the lid automatically opens and close, allowing hygienic waste disposal and removing the need to touch the surface of the bin.
    4. This looks smart and elegant, and the colour fit the aesthetic of our kitchen.
    5. I do appreciate that the battery compartment is underneath the lid of the bin, which will prevents corrosion of the battery from any liquids.
    6. The wheels on the bottom of the bin makes it easier for me to move the bin around.

The perfect bin! The bin looks great. It’s modern and sleek and exactly what I was looking for in my kitchen. It’s the perfect family size. The no-touch sensor opening and closing is so good and obviously very hygienic. My only comment is that it’s quite sensitive and if I reach for something above it, it does lift up, but this is more a downside as to where I have it I think. It’s easy to change the bag as there is a ‘ring’ that sits inside to hold the bag in place which is another good feature as I’m not keen on seeing overlapping bag edges when closed. I’m really pleased with it!

These bins are fantastic value for money! Its perfectly compact and slim, so fits into small narrow spaces very well.

I like that you can stack the recycling bins and keep them next to your main bin, or remove them and keep them elsewhere.

The main bin hardly take up any space and the sensor works a treat – I included a video.

You can fit surprisingly a lot into these bins and they are well made. The bin liner insert fits inside without being visible from the outside. Looks modern and stylish, what more can you ask for?

Never thought I would get excited about a bin, but I have been showing it off to the whole family It is a great bin and a very good price for something that will last years and years.

This bin is amazing. It comes with two parts. The top part is automatic and the bottom part is the pull out bit. It has a good design so it lines the bin bag around the edge so it doesn’t fall in. The packaging is good too. It is secure and has foam around the edges.

Tower Freedom T938013PM 60L Advanced Sensor Bin with Fingerprint Proof Coated Exterior

This bin is available in either premium black or stainless steel, and has 60 litre capacity, it can be used alone or with others in the range as a stackable recycling system

The bin needs 3 AA batteries (not supplied) to work, these are fitted just inside the lid

To use the bin, just hover your hand over the sensor and the lid will open, it stays open for 5 seconds before closing by itself

This bin is slightly taller than my old bin, but it’s slimmer so actually takes up less room in my kitchen, the lid works like a dream and it’s really easy to change the inner bin bag, and as the bin is on wheels I can slide it out to make emptying it easier

I really love using this bin, can’t wait for my grandkids to see it at the weekend, they’ll be actively looking for rubbish to throw away lol

The bin is rather more expensive than my old bin (well that was a plastic one from the supermarket so no surprise there really), would I pay this much for a bin? I’m not sure, to me it’s a lot of money to pay out, but it looks great, it works really well and if you’ve room then you can add to it by buying the recycling range too, it would look great in a utility room, alas I’ve just got a small kitchen so this bin is perfect for me, on looks and performance I’m happy to recommend, I’m just not sure I could justify paying so much for a rubbish bi

    Great bi

I’m getting use to having a smaller big, but it’s making me take the rubbish out more often so that’s great!
The 1st lot of cheaper batteries didn’t last long but bought better quality ones and so far so good!
Needs to be positioned where it’s not walked past all the time or it’ll open lots!
    I think it’s a cleaver idea though,
I like having the pull out drawer underneath which I’m using for my recycling,
It’s easy to put bags into them but find that, especially with the top bin, that the ‘ring’ you put the bag on is quite flimsy and could break? Without the ‘ring’ you’d have the bag hanging out looking messy??
It’s a good size that fits perfectly where I want it too,
It is expensive though for a bi

You have 2 bin sections. The top one has a sensor so that when you pass your hand over it it lifts the lid up so you can throw stuff in without touching it. It then counts down and closes itself. Very fancy!

The bottom section is on wheels and pulls out by a handle on the front.

Both sections will take a typical blackbag and there’s also a plastic trim to hold the bags open in place.

They suggest you use it for rubbish / recycling however I’m using it for double rubbish.

It’s fairly light but appears well made althow a bit pricey.

You will need 3 AA batteries which go in under the lid where you also find the on off button.

If you have cats they can also set off the opening mechanism which is good entertainment.

Double bin for double the rubbish for double the money

These three sets of the bin are well designed and look very stylish. They are easy to use and clean; you need AA batteries to activate the sensor for the automatic lid. I’ve been using these bins for nearly a month now, and I still don’t have to change the batteries yet.

The top bins have two buttons if you want to open a lid manually. One button is to open and another one to close the lid. The sensor works very well, and the top stays open for five seconds which is enough time to put rubbish in the bin.
The bottom bin is smooth and easy to pull open; even two 25 litre bins on top, excellent construction!

Overall, the size of these bins is good enough for my family of five, everything working fine for me, and I am delighted with this product. Definitely worth the extra cost.

I hope this review is helpful for you to make a purchasing decision.

The bins are massive, and black in colour, with a swipe of the hand the lid opens and closes, these bins do need 4 AA batteries; the battery life is about 4 – 5 days. You have the option to stack or individually place them.

I like these bins they hold lots of recycling, waste or even storage for toys.

These bins are on the large side so these will engulf a smaller kitchen.

I recommend these bins they have large capacity and elegant.

    Pros
    – Large capacity
    – Sensor technology
    – Stackable

    Cons
    – Rather large

This is excellent recipe for clean and tidy looking kitchen. Tower Freedom provides complex solution for recycling system in household. These bins are stackable, where 2 x25L are located on top of 1 bigger 50L. Because there is metal construction you can freely still operate bottom bin one without taking top bins. Two top bin have fully automated self-raising lid with sensor, countdown as well 2 button for opening and closing. Everything is powered by AA batteries and so far, roughly after 2 weeks i still didn’t had to replace batteries so great stuff.

After opening top lid by activation sensor or touching opening button lid will close itself after 5 seconds unless you touch button again so it will stay open for longer if you peeling something etc. Whole system is super quiet and thanks to build in sensor there is no worries about making bin dirty, nasty with hands while cooking for example.

On beginning i was worried that 25L will not be enough for general waste however there is positive side of it. Because now filling up very quick i am taking rubbish outside to skip more often which eliminates smell in kitchen, i used to leave it longer what causes food to root inside of bigger bin. Since i have Tower Freedom i start finally recycling not only cardboard, plastic and general but also glass. Huge improvement. Extremely happy with this product.

Superb recycling system with 3 separate compartments

This is a stainless steel cover made of plastic material, with a sensor switch. It is easy to install using 3 x AA batteries (batteries purchased by yourself). The stainless steel is very clean and easy to clean. It is a touch switch, and it can also be sensored. The switch is set to automatically turn off in 5 seconds. The pin has two packages. It is very tight. I like his sensor device. It can be opened without touching it, and it can be turned off automatically in 5 seconds. If you need a longer time to repeat the same action Yes, there is a small LED display, Price is a bit expensive

This bin looks impressive, the three separate compartments make it very easy to recycle but each part is too small for our household waste even after recycling, we would need to empty it 2-3 a week. The bottom 50l bin is a simple pull out bin but with a bit of weight in it can be difficult, I am also struggling to find bags to fit the rectangle shape. The two 25l bin on top have a censored open/close lid with is convenient to avoid germs and it counts down 5 seconds before closing, however I was surprised that they are not attached to the frame at all, simple just sat on top so they could be easily knocked off or removed. I would of preferred them to be attached to the base frame and a place to write on which recycle category each bin is to make it easier for guests (and my husband) This is priced quite high and personally I would not pay that amount for a bin, not when I could of purchased 3 individual ones and stacked them the same as this.

A nice smart looking bin, slimline with a very large capacity, the large refuse sacks are ideal which is great as I can place these straight into the outside bin.

What I also find helpful is that if I didn’t want to carry the bin bags, I could wheel this bin to the door!

Definitely more hygienic and has worked every time without any faults.

I really like this and is one of those products I wasn’t sure I needed but now I would really miss not having it and for the health aspect its worth having.

It’s great because it’s a large bin but takes up hardly any space, less room than smaller bins.

Easy to use, have attached a quick vid for this.

There is a little bounce just as it closes, however it doesn’t topple and the lid always remains on there.

The only disappointment is that it was dented upon arrival, likely to have been in transit with something heavier being placed on top, this is a large box that it arrives in and is easily mistaken for being stronger, the bin infact is strong but the sides are formed of a lightweight material, ideal for manoeuvring and lifting for the stack system but can become dented if under excessive pressure.

I don’t believe the bins can be made any differently for their purpose and neither would they need to be, so maybe a note re transit for this particular product would be a better and more practical consideration. I still love my bin and it doesn’t show unless taken out of the kitchen with the side that got squished showing.

There are instructions, it seemed upon looking at the diagrams there may be an inner bin to place inside but this doesn’t come with one, most likely would interfere with the automatic mechanism and doesn’t need one but just pointed it out to confirm there isn’t an extra inner bin, incase anyone else mistakes the diagrams like I did!

Very easy to clean and stays nice and shiny. The instructions advise placing this away from other items and not under anything because this may interfere with the signal. I’ve placed mine by two walls and a bin, partially under a shelf and near to the fridge freezer! And it works perfectly. I’ve placed a photo up for size comparison showing it standing next to the bin it replaced!

An advantage is it is useful for anyone with mobility limitations and encouraging for children to tidy up too.

This requires batteries to work. 3 x AA which are easily inserted into the battery compartment inside the lid, the compartment is easy to remove and place back on. There is an on/ off switch by the compartment, useful for when changing the bin bag.

All the family love it and I’m enjoying seeing the new enthusiasm all have of tidying up! The old bin is now a recycling container as was only a few months old but the stacking unit that this automatic bin can be added too looks great for that and I may one day look into getting the whole unit as it seems ideal to have everything togethe

Nice and large quality rubbish bin. Perfect size for my kitchen, so much better than my old smaller one, that I had to empty every day.
The stainless steel is fingerprint proof so it doesn’t show many marks on it.
The lid opens automatically and closes after a few seconds. You don’t have to use that if you don’t want to. I found that mine didn’t close all of the time. I don’t know if I needed new batteries or it was faulty but I don’t need that anyway so I’m happy with it as it is.
Recommended for a nice large kitchen bin.

Like all households should, we are embracing recycling and trying to do our little bit towards protecting the planet by sorting our waste! That being said, I have become increasingly frustrated with the multiple bins we had in our kitchen – the general waste bin, an ad-hoc recycling bin we bought (which just sat on our utility area worktop – not ideal!) and the food waste bin! Whilst I totally embrace the concept of recycling, I couldn’t stand the clutter this created in our home!

I work away from home for some days in the week leaving my other half dealing with the kids and household stuff on her own (she’s a gooden!) which invariably means I come home to a large amount of recycling which has filled the ad-hoc bin we bought and spilled over onto the worktop which then looked awful and blocked the microwave! (Sounds bad but we do keep our house tidy!!)

I saw this bin and thought it was a great concept so decided to give it a go.

The bin arrived in a large cardboard box with the bin within that box in its own branded box. Within the branded box were two further boxes containing each element of the bin (the recycling is now well and truly over flowing but it’s a one off and ensured the bin arrived well protected and damage free). The top part of the bin is for general waste and has a sensor opening function meaning if it detects movement near to the lid, it opens and then has a small LCD panel which counts down a 5 second timer before it closes again. The mechanism is smooth and whisper quiet (unlike other sensor bins). It also has a manual button for opening which when you touch it activates the opening function with the lid opening itself but with this function, the bin lid remains open until you push the close button – this is particularly handy at the end of dinner time when you are trying to get rid of any leftovers as with our old sensor bin, the lid just closed itself each time and you had to rush to get the waste in before the lid closed (doesn’t sound too bad but was actually quite frustrating).

The top bin simply sits on the lower bin (which has a lip to ensure it stays seated properly) with the lower section being a pull out compartment for the recycling. You will see in the video that it didn’t really pull out or push back in very well but that is mainly my fault for trying it on carpet and also as it was brand new – whilst it is still a little clunky in operation, on the kitchen floor it moves fine now and I have no issue with it.

Each section comes with a ring of plastic that sits within the lid area of the section, effectively locking the bin bag inside which I like and the outside finish is described as anti fingerprint which appears to be accurate and is a godsend in my opinion (our old bin was a mirror style stainless finish which was a nightmare to keep clean!!).

The build quality appears okay, it did feel a little flimsy at first but I guess it is only a bin and we have had no issues with it so far. Clearly, there is an element of compromise with this bin in that you are effectively halving the bin between waste and recycling meaning it will inevitably need emptying more regularly but I don’t mind that to be honest, it means the bin is refreshed more regularly and it’s a lot easier to carry out to the wheelie bin than a large full bin bag! The recycling bin area is also quite a nice size and can easily accommodate a reasonable amount of bottles and packaging waste.

You will need to buy 3 x AA batteries that aren’t supplied but all in all, I think it’s a decent bin that will de-clutter our kitchen and at the time of writing, I’m more than happy with it. The price seems a little high for what it is but looking around at other products, it seems to be the going rate for a decent bin so does appear comparative.

Great bin for normal waste and recycling

5 year guarantee upon registration within 28 days of purchase. Otherwise 1 year guarantee if you do not register.

This 60L & 2x25L recycling system bin is a must have for kitchen hygiene. No more touching bin lids especially if busy cooking or baking as you can ‘clear as you go’ without the worry of cross contamination from bin to worktop.

The outer casing of the bin is stainless steel colour but with a brushed finish so it will not show finger marks. There’s an inner plastic ring which you lift up with ease and keeps your bin liner secure to stop it dropping or sagging inside.

To use the automatic sensor, insert batteries in the lid and make sure you flick the little switch underneath to ON.
To open the bin with the automatic sensor wave your hand 5-20cm over the sensor and the lid will automatically open and stay open for 6 seconds. Once open the digital timer counts down from 5 seconds and closes again. If you keep your hand over the sensor area the lid will stay open if you have a few items of rubbish to discard. The lid opens and closes slowly rather than pinging up quickly.

The indicator light flashes red (every 4 seconds). When the lid opens, the indicator light shows green. When the lid closes, the indicator light shows red. You can turn off the sensor with the switch underneath if your away from home on holiday and want to preserve the battery power.

As the bin is a rectangle shape it’s much easier and looks tidier against the wall rathe than the usual rounded bins.

For the sensor lid to work you need batteries, do not mix brands though. The batteries can last 3-6 months based on the bin lid opening 20 times per day. High alkaline batteries can last up to 2 year on standby only.

Care of the bin: Do not press on the lid when it’s opening. Do not manually open the lid as it may damage it. Do not immerse in water, instead wipe over with a slightly damp cloth.

The only negative I have with the bin is that you will not be able to place it beneath a bench as the lid will not open fully. So if that’s where you normally house your kitchen bin then this one isn’t suitable for you. You can visualise the height of the bin in the photo, it’s a couple of inches shorter than a standard sized washing machine.

The bin came with clear instructions and performs exactly as described.

The automatic opening & closure sensor helps make it very hygienic in that you can dispense of waste items without having to touch the lid.

We are very pleased with the capacity of the upper bin. The bottom storage area is more limited but the compactness of the unit compared to have two separate bins more than counter balances that.

Not sure how long the batteries will last but plan to compensate for that by having two sets or rechargeable batteries.

It is a bit expensive, so I’m hoping it will last long

In a nut shell, if you’re looking for a fancy pants bin, and like gadgets then this is the one for you.
    To summarize…
It has a bin at the top and one at the bottom.
The bottom bin you pull out manually.
The top bin takes 3 AA batteries. These are not included.
Once the batteries are in the bin has automatic opening. It’s a sensor, and you can move your arm or hand over it and it opens.
It then has a digital countdown of 5 seconds before closure. If 5 seconds isn’t long enough and your hand is In the way it won’t close, it will start again.
    So child safe.
Good for lack of touching bins.
The metal is strong and sturdy.
Mine came within a box within a box, so we’ll protected and no damage in transit.
It’s tall and this rather than wide.
    Do check the measurements.
Easy to clean , I just used kitchen spray and a wipe.
It is alot of money for whats essentially a bin, however it does look way better than plastic and its certainly not flimsy.
    I recommend!!

I’m really pleased with this bin. It automatically opens and closes as it has a sensor that detects my hand movements.

This has become really handy in my house as nobody really likes touching the bin lids.
It looks great too, the stainless steel matches well with the appliances in my kitchen and it adds to the modern feel.

I really love that the stainless steel has a coating on it which helps prevent finger prints.
It’s a good size and for me, it’s lightweight and fits perfectly in the kitchen corner.

The only disappointing thing is the plastic bin liner clip that hold the bags in place. It just seems a little flimsy to me.

Everything else seems to be really good quality and well-built. Overall it feels like a durable product.
Quite pleased with this sensor bin but the price does seem a little steep for me.

    Looks great and works well.
