14-in-1 USB C Laptop Docking Station, 4K HDMI Dual/Triple Monitor USB-C Dock Hub

    The Hub.
This is a comprehensive hub with 14 sockets. You get USB 2 and 3, USB C, HDMI, Audio and monitor outputs. These include charging sockets as well.

    Build.
It is very well made and feels solid.

    In use.
I have been using this for 5 months now and it has been a pleasure to use. I use it with my Microsoft surface to add extra ports and run dual monitors. It has always worked well. I have never had a set up error except for my own mistakes!

    Overall.
I have an office full of computers and these hubs are really useful to expand the ports on them. This hub is really comprehensive and has worked perfectly for me.

Product seemed to have a good build quality from metal outer casing. A wide range of connectors and has integrated well with existing equipment. Overall very happy, especially for the low price.

I bought this to replace my 350 Lenovo docking station which had stopped working. I also needed an SD Card slot.
This little box has more ports than any of the alternatives so was a good choice.
One thing that doesn’t always work with these types of docking station is the pass-through charging. I’ve plugged in a 65W power source and it works perfectly.
I’ve also put a 500GB micro SD in it so it works as a backup drive as well.

Great little product. It manages a strange balance betwwen a very sturdy quality feel with a light weight design.
I had no issues using this product, mainly because I took the time to read the review and check my laptop specs.

Only downside was that the 3.5mm jack did not work. However owing to the cheap price & compact size, it wasn’t worth sending back. A simple USB 2.0 to 3.5mm cable worked fine. All the USB-c ports work brilliantly including the power one. Box runs a little bit warm but has retained solid connections for long days of use.

Good value, cords a little short if you use a riser. If it overheats it can go a bit haywire but that’s after 8+ hours of constant use.

I am using this a lot to link my new Dell laptop to two separet monitors.
Overall I am very pleased, especially considering the price comparison with teh Dell docking station.
    My only negatives are:
when running MS Teams, with a network cable attached, it was struggling, so changed to using WIFI rather than ethernet and all ok. It should be noted that MS Teams is very demanding on the H/W, hence the reason I had to get a new laptop.
It would be nice if there was a longer Thunderbolt cable to allow greater flexibility.

Nice little gadget I needed to make my working life easier at home, allows me to add 2 monitors to my work laptop, multiple USB connections. It’s a small and light little gadget that fits in a my handbag if need be, hardly uses any space on my desk and is one of the Best things I bought for very good value.

This docking station has all the inputs I needed and I’ve had it for 3 months now and it’s worked perfectly. I use it with my work laptop and I’ve got 2 screens, a mouse and a keyboard all plugged into it – so quite a lot of things, but it has worked perfectly and seamlessly. There’s no lag with the mouse or screens. Basically it does everything I need it to.

Used to create a docking station in our kitchen, connected to ethernet, stereo, keyboard/mouse, monitor. Works well when connected to a laptop with USB-C, took a few minutes for the laptop to work out what was connected the first time then seamless from there on.

We tried to connect it to an older laptop via USB-A adaptor but the dock does not have display link so will only work with a monitor if connected via USB-C. This is not a fault as the unit is clearly designed to work via USB-C.

Bought this for a new HP laptop, the HP equivalent was 300 pounds.

Much smaller than anticipated but seems well built and solid and has all the ports expected.

It works well runs 2 HDMI monitors, supporting the sound and display for each, ethernet port, also using 3 of the usb ports (keyboard, mouse and phone) and it powers the laptop. Have used both the card slots all works as expected.

Only criticism, is that the lead to the laptop could be a little longer. The HP laptop knows it is not an HP USB-C device and a message to that affect appears, but this does not affect the performance.

    Would recommend.

Awesome docking station with tonnes of ports, but this is only really useful for modern laptops with a USB-C port.

You get 3x USB 3 (for things like webcams or fast USB drives), 2x USB 2.0 (fine for keyboard & mouse), micro & full-size SD card slots (for copying photos off a digital camera), and a Type C port (for connecting to your laptop), hurrah!

You also get 2x HDMI, 1x VGA and GbE Ethernet LAN. Oh and a Power Delivery (PD) port for charging your laptop, if you buy a separate power supply.

It’s quite expensive, but it does a good job.

  25. Anonymous says:

The docking station is light weight and a small form factor so can easily fit into your backpack if you need it on the move or sit nicely on your desktop ready to just plug and go, personally I have it attached using some command Velcro pads. One on the dock and one on my desk. This is a great way to prevent it moving about without damaging your desk and still allows portability when required.

The range of outputs is nice allowing for multiple additional devices to be used while your laptop is docked. The dock feels well made and it should last a long time.

This is brilliant for when i travel to see my family, it is everything you need in one unit, as my laptop only has 2 usb ports i have never enough outlets for what i need to plug in, especially when my mouse is perminately in one of them. Also, my laptop doesnt have a slot for a SD card so this is perfect for me to upload my photos from my camera.

There are more than enough ports for anyones requirement, I love this adaptor and highly recommend it.

In all honesty I don’t see anything else you will need once you have this one.

It basically consists of everything you need to carry out your connection to have a smooth job done.

    The performance is absolutely brilliant.
Overall, I think this is a good docking station, although the cable is quite annoying as it is stiff that movement of the laptop do tend to pull the cable out of the socket but I think its still okay as I can do away with this.

Above all, this is absolutely a brilliant tools for me.

This the machine needed for the job.

The USB C Hub multi HDMI Adapter with a Card Reader with multiple outputs is a useful device for those who have only 1 USB C on their laptop or PC. This adaptor does everything from dual display outputs to USB 3.0. I connected this to PC via the USB C port, I tried to transfer large files from my Pen drive very quickly using the docks USB port, at the same time my keyboard and mouse were connected, and I experienced no power issues or data loss. I used the docks SD card to transfer my photos and it did better job than my PC inbuilt unit. This can output your laptops display via the HDMI port, I tried this by connecting to my tv, this worked very well there was no video noise or loss of detail. The dock is well built and feels solid the aluminium outer body also helps dissipate heat. This dock virtually has every port or connection you ever needed. Overall this is great value for money, it works without any issues and the performance is up there with more expensive models, this compatible with all MacBook’s and most laptops with a USB C port.

There are many of these USB C connectors on the market. It’s really difficult to determine which one to buy. All around the same price.
This particular 14 to 1 connector arrived well packed. It is easy to set up just plug and play. My work Apple laptop only gave two USB C connection ports so this item allows me to add extra devices. Pleased to say that this connector doesn’t slow down the data transfer like others tired have. This connector is premium black in colour. Like that. It has three USB 3, one USB 2, one USB-C, two HDMI, one VGA, one SD card, one Micro SD card, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm audio and USB-C PD connections. Plus a USB-C cable of 15cm length which connects to the laptop. I have connected printers, scanner, webcam, two monitors and more no problems seen. Excellent.
    Pleased to recommend.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersTop Tip : This Hub includes an RJ45 Ethernet port, perfect for hooking up directly to a router, to connect straight into your blazing fast network, bypassing your slow Wi-Fi (comparatively slow, anyway!).

Top Tip : This will open up a whole new world for your laptop. Never used a hub? Try this, and see how it opens things up.

At 59.99, reduced from 69.99, at the time of writing,
    This :

14-in-1 USB C Laptop Docking Station, 4K HDMI Dual/Triple Monitor USB-C Dock Hub

Looks to be a pretty cool, pretty versatile, and a very useful, USB hub.
    But…
    Is it?
    Is it any good?
    Is it good value?
Are there many more of these annoying questions, still to come?
Well… to answer these, plus any further questions, we might accidentally stumble over, during the course of my meandering, and often erratic, review, we should pop on our crash helmets , and rev up our metaphorical bikes, as we hit the highway, and motor on over , to take a further look… …

    Born to be wild…

It arrives in a nicely presented, retail ready box.
It makes a very good first impression.

Out of the box, and you get:
    1 x 14 in 1 USB Hub
    Nice and simple.
    Just like me.

    Umm…

The hub’s build quality looks excellent.
It’s constructed from light, sleek, strong aluminium, with a cool, matt black finish.
It looks, and feels top quality.
The metal finish adds a real touch of quality, and finesse.
It has no ragged edges, no mould marks on the plastic, or no dodgy junctions.
It’s all perfectly finished and looks the business.

Port wise, it has the following selection included:
    1 x RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet Port
    1 x VGA 1080@60Hz
    2 x HDMI 4K Ports
    2 x USB A 2.0 Ports
    1 x USB C 2.0 Port
    1 x 100W PD 3.0
    1 x TF Card Slot
    1 x SD Card Slot
    1 x DP Port
    3 x USB A 3.0 Ports
    1 x 3.5mm Audio Port
That is 14 ports, which give it it’s 14 in 1 Hub name.
    It’s a very balanced selection.
Considered and well-thought-out to give it maximum bang for buck.

The 4K HDMI Video Outputs, enables you to mirror or extend the display of your laptop to your TV, monitor, or projector.
    Pretty cool .
And double the fun, as there are two of them, both able to run simultaneously

The 1000Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port offers full 10/100/1000Mbps superfast gigabit Ethernet performance. Much quicker than wireless. Again… pretty cool .

100W USB C Power Delivery USB C adapter charges your USB type C devices by connecting 100W power delivery port.
Blazing fast charging and data transfer. Cool again… .

3 x USB 3.0, support data transfer up to 5Gbps. Triple the fun .

    2 x USB 2.0, 480Mbps, for extra capacity. Double the fun,. again…

SD and TF slots easily access files from universal SD and Micro SD memory cards with data transfer speed up to UHS-I (104MB/s). Fast, and yup… cool

And a VGA port, for any legacy hardware you may need to coax back into life, such as old projectors, or monitors.
Very useful if you are working in multiple locations, and you encounter out of date equipment.

The hub has overheating and overcurrent protection, to keep the hub, and your laptop, safe and not on fire .
More than handy, and the way I personally prefer my laptops.
I think it is pretty old school.

To set it up, it really was as simple as plugging it in.
The OS picked it up, and had it up and running in under a minute.

In testing, I had every port plugged in.
    Of course I did… Who wouldn’t right?
I did not believe that they would all operate successfully together.
But… much to my surprise…. they did.
My display was mirrored, and extended, no problem.
Every other port was utilized and tested, with successful data transfer, and power transfer, on every occasion.
    It’s very impressive indeed.
    And it never ran hot.
Which means we have to heat our coffee somewhere else….

Milk and sugar please… is it espresso? …. lovely….

    The price is very good.
It’s keenly priced and offers good value.
It compares well to its competitors.

    Overall…
    It’s a cracking wee hub.
It’s well-designed, well constructed, and very well put together.
It performed flawlessly in testing, and made it look easy, and cool .

I do not hesitate to recommend it highly.

We have travelled the highway, completed the miles, and we find ourselves at the end of our journey together…

And finally, as it is Christmas Eve , when I write this, Merry Christmas.
If you are reading this in July… I hope you are looking forwards to Christmas…. It is only 6 months away.
Perhaps you could make this hub your first Christmas present , for you, or someone you love.

I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .

I’m impressed with this 14 in 1 docking station that I have recently started using. Apart from being lightweight and portable, it is superb and classy. My laptop has only 2 USB ports. With this amazing docking station, I can connect multiple devices with my laptop. Additionally, it has different ports for charging, attaching a microphone, and an SD card. During official meetings and presentations, I can connect 2 screens simultaneously with my laptop via this device. Fast and clear data transfer without any interference is guaranteed with this dock. Apart from flawless working, it’s a durable and sturdy product.

This 14 in 1 USB C laptop docking station works as expected with no any errors, this is really all in one product. Data transfer is really fast as with so many possible connections. 100W of PD power. Supporting up to 1000Mbps LAN network.
Has a full sized SD card slot, micro SD card slot, a type C USB port, 3x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB2.0 ports, you can even connect your headset to the 3.5MM audio port.
Works excellent with many different devices.

Looking for a hub which packs a versatile punch. Here you go with more HDMI and USB ports than you can shake a stick at, plus a few more obsolete ports this is great of you are limited on you device to a number of ports.
The only issue being its not powered so if you load up the video ports it can result in some loss of picture quality, as evidenced by my son who gave 2 it a go with 2 4K monitors and there was a perceptible drop in Picture quality something that was less noticeable with my 2 standard monitors.
Flexible yes pound for pound a great device.

    Versatile

This is not the first USB C hub that I have owned or reviewed, I have several that are kept in different rooms. For the most part, this one in particular will be very underused for it’s capabilities.

I use these mainly for connecting my phone or tablet to a large screen to view the content on the big screen. In addition, if there is a USB flash drive plugged into one of the USB 3.0 ports, it means I can use the phone to access the content such as photos or videos which can then be viewed on a large screen TV thanks to the HDMI output.

This seemed much quicker at connecting than some of those that I have used and with the content viewed on the TV via an 8K HDMI cable it was very good.

This hub also has two USB C ports, one of which is a charging port, this is essential, especially if streaming movies or TV. To use the charging port you will need a PD compatible power supply plugged into the mains and something like a Thunderbolt cable plugged in to the hub.

The USB C hub seems to be very sturdy and well made from aluminium, it also looks pretty classy. The ports that you get on the hub are as follows:

    3 x USB 3.0 ports
    2 x USB 2.0 ports
1 x Full sized SD card slot
    1 x MicroSD card slot
2 x USB C ports, one of which is for charging
    2 x HDMI 4K ports
    1 x VGA port
    1 x RJ45 ethernet port
    1 x Headphone/microphone port

This seems a well built device that is very useful, it is not unique insomuch as there are several USB C hubs on the market, many are cheaper than this, so if you don’t need this many ports take a look on Amazon for something that better meets your needs.

For the number, and variety, of connections this doesn’t seem to be bad value for money.

I generally like this wfh with my works laptop.

Wide variety of ports and handles pretty much everything.

Couple of things to consider, charging you need a good power input to drive the device as well as your laptop so factor that in.

Also the cable is short but its designed in my opinion for portability, that said has so far handled everything.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users14-in-1, including triple monitor support — that’s incredibly comprehensive. The dock sits on my desk with everything I need connected, including power, ready to be plugged into my laptop. I have two HDDs and a printer on the USB ports, a display on an HDMI port, and Ethernet. I’ve tested both SD slots and they’re good too.

I use a short USB-C extension that enables me to put the hub and nest of cables at the back of my desk instead of next to my laptop, to keep my desk tidy. Well, tidier than it might be!

Charging is 5-10% slower via the dock than when I connect the charger directly to the laptop, but I can live with that. The only thing to consider, really, is whether the ports are conveniently positioned around the hub for your configuration, so that you can keep the cabling as neat as possible. Port layout varies quite a lot between docks.

This one seems well made and durable. It’s on a deal at the moment, for 48.99, which makes it a very good buy. As long as it doesn’t go up too much after the deal ends, it’ll remain a good buy for anyone who needs the connectivity on offer.

First of this docking station feels very well made. It has Aluminium body and connectors look robust, so no complaints there. It is pricy at just under 50 but you do get 14 connections, which is extreemly useful if your Mac/PC or Laptop hasn’t got the connections you need. Unit works fine, I was able to connect two monitors, easily enough and network connection worked great too. Includes headphone jack, sd card and micro sd reader, 3 x usb3 ports, 2 x usb2, lan, vga, 2 x hdmi, 2 x usb c.

This universal docking station connects to the USB-C charging port of the laptop, I must say I didn’t know that port can also carry all other signals such as monitors, SD card and Ethernet. Pretty amazing! It saves me all the other ports for something else.

A quick PROS and CONS of my experience with this:

    PROS
+ Multi ports in one. Plenty of USB ports, with VGA and two HDMI output
+ Compact enough to fit in m laptop bag

    CONS
    – It does get warm quickly
    – The cable is very short and stiff, limiting where you can place this hub

This docking station does not come with a charger, so you will still need yo plug you own charger in and it can passthrough up to 100W of power.

The housing of the dock is pretty solid, feels quite well-made.

Overall, I think this is a good docking station, the short cable is quite annoying as it is stiff that movement of the laptop do tend to pull the cable out of the socket. I am also limited to have this on the left hand side of my laptop, it could be better if this is long enough to at least reach the back of the laptop where I have more space.

Good dock, cable is a bit sho

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThere are dozens of these USB-C adaptors on the market. Since Apple (in particular) starting making laptops with only one or two USB-C ports these adaptors have become an essential add on. Attaching legacy USB drives or peripherals, RJ45 networking, additional monitors or SD card readers … i.e. pretty much any ‘real world’ use necessitates one of these adaptors.

Most are much of a muchness. I’ve owned and used several different makes. Most offer similar functionality. Of those I have used, this is the best provisioned with a range of different ports. In addition to the expected USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports – 3 and 2 of which are present respectively – there are two HDMI outputs, a VGA port, RJ45 networking, a headphone/microphone in/out port, SD and microSD slots and two USB C ports.

For my particular use the VGA and USB C ports are the dealmakers. One of the USB C ports is for power in. This is essential as the adaptor is likely to be plugged into the only USB C port on the laptop. However the second USB C is a data port, allowing the increasingly common USB C add ons to be connected. The VGA port allows legacy screens and projectors to be attached.

Everything I tested worked exactly as expected. Although I didn’t measure port transfer speeds, none appeared slower than expected for data read/write. The adaptor has a neat matt black finish which should be relatively scratch resistant. The cable is perhaps a little short for convenience and – at least on the unit I received – the plane of the USB C connector was at 90 to the adaptor meaning the cable was twisted. However, the weight of the adaptor means it still laid flat on the desk.

Any downsides? Yes. It runs warm, which means there is energy being used and wasted. Hence docking 1 star. I have a very similar adaptor which lacks the VGA and USB C data ports, but is otherwise identical. This runs cool. In contrast this Fusion5 adaptor is warm, running at a constant 34-35C.

When comparing the cost of these sorts of adaptors make sure you are comparing like with like. At about 50 this is more expensive than some, but appears good value when compared with those carrying VGA and USB C data ports.

    Recommended.

This allows you to save up some connections on your laptop, or to plug different devices if you only have the USB-C connecter. In a premium black casing we have three USB 3, one USB 2, one USB-C, two HDMI, one VGA, one SD card, one Micro SD card, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm audio and USB-C PD connections. It has a USB-C cable of about 15cm which connects to the laptop. If you’re taking your laptop between home and the office then you only have one cable to disconnect. The USB-C Power Delivery allows you to connect up to a 100W USB-C PD adapter and the dock will then provide this power to the laptop.

It all seems to work well – two monitors were connected which showed no degradation of video. Not too sure on the benefit of the VGA connection although most monitors all seem to have a VGA input soo allows you another display. There didn’t appear to be any drivers needed to be installed on a Windows laptop.

Seems ideal for when you’re travelling, for your home office to save having to disconnect a load of cables when leaving for the office, or just to reduce the clutter of adapters and dongles. At 50 at time of review which does seem a good price for a 14-in-1 dock/hub.

    Couple of points

    1. Ensure your laptop supports Video Out on the USB-C, I am seeing more and more lower end laptops that only support data and power via USB-C. Without the Video out support, only the USB ports would work.
    2. Depending on your configuration, you probably will need to have a USB-C Power supply plugged into the dongle which will then feed the laptop/
    3. The dongle has a VGA port, however use of this port which is limited at 1080P could cause issues with viewing 4K via the HDMI ports. (I don’t have a VGA monitor to test with).

Note with Mac and especially the mac M1 version, you will find that the number external screens that can have different images is limited.

Currently 45 which is greta value for a 14-in-1 dock

If you do not need the VGA output, I would suggest you buy a unit without VGA support as it can cause issues
