I am pleased with this microwave, it looks really good , it will take me a bit of time to get used to all the different settings as I not used this type before , it goes well with some of my other Russell hobbs items in the same cream colour , also arrived a day earlier which good .

Nice product, however I still don’t understand the settings yet. But this is a nice product to have in kitchen and besides Russel Hobbs products normally have good quality so this is fine.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI like it that this is not the strongest and hottest microwave out there because I find that the food heats more evenly this way. It may take a few more seconds for the pop corn to pop but I’m left with less unpopped kenals at the end! Its easy to clean and a sleek design.

    Very good

No point me leaving at photo as it still looks brand new and I’ve had mine for years I’ve burnt out the magnetron three times now and replaced it but I love this microwave and rather than buy new one I just buy a new magnetron and fit it but I am an engineer I don’t understand all these other reviews with people with rust I can only imagine that the old ones are better than the newer ones who knows maybe they just don’t clean it or someone else in their family just doesn’t clean it and leaves it’s soaking wet you have to clean them at the end of the day it’s a microwave is not a made and it does not say self-cleaning anywhere so don’t be lazy and look after your microwave and I’m sure you will get years of pleasure from i

I love the way it looks, it’s easy cleaned. If you read instructions it’s easy to use all the settings but if your like me and hate them it can be tricky but it’s not the most complicated thing in the world.

I had this microwave for 6 years and loved it. Unfortunately it suddenly rusted inside and I wanted the same one as loved the style and operation so ordered this replacement. Speedily delivered and very happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA basic straightforward microwave and the aftersale service is excellent. Mine developed a fault which I reported to the seller, I got an immediate response and a quick, no questions asked delivery of a replacement with a pickup of the old microwave. Buy with confidence.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m just over the moon to have a new microwave. The old one was literally knackered and it’s so nice to look at this fresh, new thing on my unit.
I’ve used it for the first time today by warming up a packet of microwave rice. The ones you buy ready cooked in a pouch.
    2 mins at full power.
It’s accomplished that successfully so I’m muy happy.

5.0 out of 5 stars It heats things up....

I am delighted with this little microwave. Takes a little longer to adjust times to suit otherwise a nice little microwave. Love the mirror door and you can actually see what is cooking.

A perfect little microwave for my small kitchen. I was extremely happy with it until the bulb went in under a month. I’ve never ever had to replace a microwave bulb before after decades of using them. Not good!

So far so good. Tbh it’s a bit complicated in learning how to work it. It’s been great though. Minimal lingering smells.

Make sure if you’re buying a microwave you buy stainless steel interior and not enameled.

If I was to buy again I wouldn’t buy this one. Only found out about the stainless steal V enamel afterwards.

Still happy but it’s not a long life

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our Users(review for Russell Hobbs RHM1714WC, sold by Amazon Nov2020). Microwaves don’t seem to last long these days, so thought I may as well try a cheap one. At 55.99 this fitted the bill, and I’m pleasantly surprised to find it doesn’t seem cheap or nasty, so first impressions are that it is amazingly good value.

There is a separate page of safety info and then the manual itself gets to page 10 before the list of precautions finishes, leaving one thinking it may be safest never to plug the device in. There is also some info that I would have liked before purchase, like the large amount of clearance needed around it (approx 3″ at sides and back and 12″ above). However it is well written, in English, and uses a font size that is suitable for reading, which sets it several light-years ahead of some competitor’s offerings.

It took quite some time to set up the kitchen around the requirements, but once done it seems to work as expected. Very briefly a ‘new’ hot kind of smell but by the second use this was gone. I was hoping to just turn the dial and press go, like previous machines I’ve had, but this one selects the preset rather than time by default so another button needs to be pressed first; not ideal but easy enough to get used to. There are quite a lot of identical buttons which are labelled with modestly sized text, so (unlike my last model, which was clearer) reading glasses are needed to operate it.

It seems to have quite a range of functions, more than many budget models, and so far has done everything I’ve tested it at. The only significant down-side is that the traditional ‘ping’ is loud enough to seem more like an alarm – and it goes off whenever a button is pressed, then ‘four’ times when it finishes heating, then four times again after a pause if one doesn’t open the door in time (then opening the door also sets it off, though just the once). This might be useful for the hard of hearing, except it is also quite high pitched, but it has already been commented on by the neighbours (in an adjoining flat) and I’ve only had it a day; it really doesn’t seem very suitable for early-morning breakfast time unless there is some way to shut it up that I’ve not seen yet.

But overall very pleased with it for the price. If it will last as long as the previous microwaves I’ve had, which failed within months of the warranty expiring, then I shall consider it to be much better value.

Does what I need it to do. No instructions so I have no idea what the buttons do or how to use them so have to just go on how long I want it on for.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this microwave for my brother as a gift.
At the time they did not own a microwave so I wanted to get one that I would buy for myself.
I did alot of research and weighed up many microwaves.
This came out on top overall and I think it looks sleek too.
I would buy it for myself too.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPros
    – Good value.
    – Sleek design.
    – Looks nice in the kitchen.
    – Looks tiny but has decent capacity.
    – Somewhat straightforward to begin using.
    – Easy to get out of packaging.

    Cons
    – Overly complex button scheme, requires multiple button presses to do something as simple as 10 second increments.
    – The weight adjust sometimes doesn’t make sense, e.g. for milk it says numbers 1 to 3, what do these mean? There’s enough space on the display to show extra info such as ‘grams’, ‘milliliters’ and so forth.
    – There were fingerprints all over the mirror finish, definitely not mines.

It is a nice produt, compact and good if you have a small kitchen as mine. In the future I will updade since I didn’t use it too much. But so far there is no big problem. The only problem is that the spinning plate wheels keep leaving theur path easily (-1 star).

The user manual is simple and easy to understand.

The product was very wrapped to protect against possible delivery damages.

This microwave is the complete package. It looks slightly retro and I love that about it.
It’s 700w and the timer took a few tries to get the hang of. Press the big round button once for a 30 second time and twice for one minute but then it skips from 2 mins 30 seconds and jumps to 3 mins 30 bit saying that as it’s only 700watts 3.30 is better than 3 mins. Looks great in the kitchen and really clean looking with the black glass. I’m glad I got this over a more expensive model. Highly recommend

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNeeded an upgrade from my previous Russell Hobbs microwave as I had taken care of the item over the past 4 years it was clearly overdue.
This model is bigger than my last sorry I don’t know the model and ever since I purchased the product I’ve had compliments that is, in fact, bigger and sleeker and the fact that it has child lock is a bonus…I do enjoy having a clock monitor but also being able to type in how much my defrosted chicken weighs to then tell me how long it will take to cook is a dream invest you won’t regret i

Cakes rise very evenly and are a lovely golden brown colour. Having used it for a couple of months, I am finding that the rotating plate is very noisy as it turns which is a bit annoying. It’s also a bit stiff and jerks round rather than turning smoothly. But cooks well and the stainless interior is quite easy to keep clean.

Have been using this microwave for about 3 months and it still looks as new. It’s got lots of functions on it, although have only used the main microwave and defrosting features. Not had any issues with it being too small, everything (bowls and jugs etc) fits fine and I like how it gives you a reminder beep a few minutes after it has finished if you don’t open the door, so if you’re in another room and don’t hear it finish, you’ll know your food is done.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersFor the price this is one of the best microwaves i have bought, with help from an amazon voucher :).
This microwave will do what most expensive microwaves will do. i do advise to have a quick read of the menu because it can do things my partners 120 pound microwave cant. Even though this is rated at 700 watt just add or minus ten seconds and it come out perfect. easy to clean inside (not the largest space) the door takes regular cleaning as you can basically use it like a mirror. Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersA neat black casing & smart appearance. Cleans up well, easy to use. Goes beautifully with our toaster & kettle. Admittedly after 4 previous microwaves over the years the only thing it’s taking a little time to get used to is the range of manual temperatures available. They are 100%, 80, 60, 40 & 20% of full power whereas we’re accustomed to 100, 70, 50, 30, & 10%. No great problem though, we’re happy with the purchase.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWorking very well. Looks good. Bought to replace a much more expensive microwave that rusted. Only reason for the 4 stars is that in the instructions, it tells you that you cannot use this microwave to heat up things like heat packs and wheat bags for some reason or other which is very annoying. Had I been aware of that fact, I probably would not have bought it in the first place but it was too much effort to send it back plus it is doing the job of heating food and drinks up fine.

Great value for money when I purchased it at 45, it has pre set options for heating things such as milk, rice etc. It also has a great defrost setting which allows you to defrost your food according to the weight of it. In brief this microwave is simple and easy to use and has very stylish looks.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersAfter our last microwave decided it wanted to be a flamethrower instead, we took to Amazon to find our replacement.

The days of visiting places like currys or Argos are long gone – the remit was to find a microwave that could microwave food, wasn’t too ugly, wasn’t dayglo white and was under 50.

This RH unit fitted the bill and I’m pleased to report it has managed to microwave everything we’ve put in it and there are not yet any signs of flamethrowing tendances.

We would have preferred the 20L unit but it was out of stock and in fairness, 17L will fit most people’s needs – we have rather large dinner plates which fit in here just fine.
