Wanted a draw tape that was easily wound back onto a reel after use as was getting tired of previous tapes getting tangle. It’s a solid metal tape with a nice rounded end to push through easily once out the other end. Was very cheap and works really well.

I got this when needed to pass my security cameras.
    Out side on my House.
In my loft passing the Wiring to the security control system. But later got WiFi IP Camara system.

Handle snapped after second use. It struggles to wind itself back in which puts pressure on the plastic casing and handle which causes it to snag then eventually break

Excellent product, sturdy and easy to use. Only set back was,not having a
winding to feed the tape or retract it.

Fr kleinere Querschnitte vermutlich etwas weniger geeignet.

Been looking for one of these for a while but didn’t know what they were called. Have used it to full Ethernet +bales under the floors and it has been a godsend.

Best thing since they invented the wheel! After spending hours yesterday trying to get wires through conduit in my van that I’m converting I gave up and orderd this. It’s taken me two minutes to do what I spent 2 hours trying to do yesterday!

This item is excellent for routing through conduit where no other tool will do it.

I have some 20mm conduit buried under my drive for the gate openers and sensors and it’s pretty difficult to route cable through convoluted conduit as it’s not smooth inside.

This fish tape gets the job done. The best thing is the ability to rotate the entire length of deployed tape to get around corners.

Get the fish tape through, put your cable through the end of the fish tape and tape the cable back on itself to create a loop. This makes the joint smaller and much stronger. The pull it all back through.

You will need gloves if you’re not used to using these, one because it can be hard to grip, plus it’s covered in grease to stop the coiled high carbon steel from rusting.

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersBrilliant quality. Extremely sturdy fish tape. Well worth the money.

Not sure how this would work in the trade as the enclosure is only light plastic and reeling back in you can already see it stressing – but for domestic and light commercial you really can’t go wrong at this price.

As someone else has pointed out – this is overoiled. Just be aware when using the first time – unpackage and unroll for the first time outside

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHad a conduit laid when the house was built with the view to running a cable for shed power down the line. How I toiled and bled trying to force the large electrical cable through the whole conduit without success. Figured it must have caved or broken underground over the years. Decided to buy the Fish Tape as one last ditch effort to save me having to dig a 25m trench. The fish tape went straight through the entire conduit. The joy of seeing it pop up the far side was glorious. I attached the electrical cable using three cable ties and a load of electrical tape and I was able to pull the cable through the entire conduit with relative ease. Wish I had bought this first – would have saved me so much anguish. The fish tape is satisfyingly strong and has the perfect mix of rigidity for pushing through and yet suppleness to negotiate corners. Highly recommended.

Did the job. Very robust, successful in getting a cable from house to garage over fifteen meters away using an existing buried conduit.

    Happy with the purchase

Excellent, the cable can be very stiff at times, but it works really well. (TIP) Watch your hands when reeling the wire back in. I purchased this to run ethernet cable around my home, nothing else but one of these would do. I ran cable in places that have never seen day light. Very useful tool to have, not too expensive either.

Nichts anderes funktionierte. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung

Saved me a fortune calling out an electrician. Build quality very good for the price. I don’t know if it would be suitable for lots of use (I reckon professionals use something a bit more expensive) but I have no complaints. Delivery was really fast too.

It worked for what I wanted. A little stiffer than I expected but functioned well. It came lightly greased as you would expect. Wind out what you need from the cassette and wipe it clean first.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt’s a pity I didn’t buy this first. I looked at a review that said it was too flimsy by a supposed electrician, so I ended up buying another item which was too big to get into the space I needed. I’m quite experienced in pulling through cables in my job offshore.

I had an under counter light go faulty, and in the attempt to get it off the cabinet I’d accidentally pulled through the wire behind the cabinet. The cavity behind the plasterboard had a few battens, but I couldn’t see where.

I had tried using the screw rods and the larger orange fish wire, but after three hours of trying, no luck. Thought I had nothing to lose in buying this.

It is quite rigid, but flexible enough. I was able to ‘steer’ it towards the exit hole at the top of the cabinet. After a bit of fiddling and 15mins later, complete success. Managed to pull through a messenger string for my cable when it arrives.

The other items I bought were good value too, but I just couldn’t get them to where I needed.

Tricky to wind back in after use but made short work of feeding several cables through the wall. Previous reviews mentioned people being covered with black grease whilst using but had this wasn’t my experience at all.

It works but grease applied on the cable and stubborn reel will eventually drive you crazy. Invest in extensions rods instead.

    Bin voll zufrieden.

Well I used it to feed two RG45 cables through difficult positions. Its not very flexible and very stiff, but that’s a good thing.

I had some nylon electrical draw tape and that was completely useless. This Fish Tape worked well.

The feed is ok but it wasn’t impressed when I covered it in brick dust. Not a complaint on the product as its a bit of newbie error.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersEin perfekt durchdachtes Hilfsmittel zum Einziehen von Kabeln in Lehrrohre.

No problems with it jamming as some people have complained. No instructions, so perhaps they just tried to pull the tape out without rotating the black handle relative to the blue case? The black lubricant is messy but once removed and replaced with WD40, this is no problem either. Quick delivery and cheap price. Fine for occasional DIY use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhat to write? It’s a fish tape, a nice long one. It rolls away nicely. It flattens out with persuasion.

No, the product doesn’t come with instructions, but if you’re buying one, then you probably already have the idea. For those who don’t, pull the tape to remove it, but move the handle to retract (it auto brakes).

The tape has a handy loop on the end for carrying your cables.

Downsides – the tape has a coating of black grease, which if you are not careful will end up on carpets and walls. Guessing this is necessary for the tape to operate, but it does seem a shame.

Overall, a really good product that does exactly what it should. Just a shame it doesn’t drill through joists whilst it’s down there!
