    Orgrul 3.6m x 2.8m Sun Shade Sail

This sail is really easy to install. We used screw-in hooks (not supplied) and fixed the sail to our fence using the supplied threads, looped through the D rings.
The oxford sail fabric is thin and light, but still very strong. It blocks UV light and is also waterproof. The stitching is superb and the whole product appears durable.
What I love most is the size, 3.6 x 2.8 metres covers a lot of space and gives a good deal of protection and shade. For the 20.55 (price at the time of review), this is very reasonable.
Overall, I’m very happy with this product.

This sail / shade came in a bag with four lengths of cord to hang it with if you need them.
I had the 2.5m x 2.5m size to place over a table outside my back door to give some protections from the elements.
It is a UV resistant Oxford fabric that is lightweight and waterproof so every situation is covered.
We had a similar triangular shade last year that was left out right up to Winter and it survived everything Norfolk could throw at it with ease.
This one is square and was a lot easier to put up than the triangle, I did not use the cords provided because my lack of knot tying skills is legend in these parts!
I used for bungee cords which to be honest I think is a good solution, they are inexpensive and give the sail enough movement to make it so it can drain water on its own and not risk pulling my expensive fence panels that it is attached to on one side down!.
The D rings are stainless steel and will not rust in the elements.
The stitching up to the D rings is doubled and excellent, these are not going to pull apart no matter what the provocation!
Although it is sold as a square it really isn’t, it stretches out to the corners so it is mare splayed than a square, when you pull it really tight this becomes more obvious.
I think this item is great value for money at the current price. HTH

I got this as an additional privacy screen/sunscreen for my awning on my motorhome.

I had previously obtained a sunshade for our awning which worked well , but this was much bigger so I requested it.

The thickness of the material and quality finish was again really good .

The D ties are very well sewn-in treble stitching and woven reinforcement on all 4 corners.

The material itself has a really decent thickness to it and has a glossy sheen. It is like a thicker version of the material cycling cagoules were made from back in the day but more flexible. It looks hard wearing.

I again fixed it up with my awning hooks and it worked well. I didn’t want it to completely block out the sunlight just enough to give us a fair bit of shade and more privacy when we’re at the table having meals or relaxing etc.

Initially I tried it wide side up (3.6 m) but I found there was too much slack. Using the 2.8 metre side on the awning worked much better.

It was just a case of pegging down with the ties, no need to use the the provided ropes.. Very quick and simple.

Unfortunately I was only able to try it on my drive so was limited to how far I could pull the 3 metre length out. But out on a campsite it will give me plenty of scope by allowing me to raise the awning legs higher as well due to its length.

It was really hot bright sunshine when I tried it and it did a really good job of shading the area. It’s also has taped waterproof seams and is waterproof so I won’t have to scramble around to take it down if we’re out on site and theres a downpour. Plus the D rings are stainless steel so should stop any unsightly rusting in the future.

During my installation tests when I laid it out it did pick up some dirt from the drive but it wiped clean before I packed it away and there was no sign of any stain etc. So I should be able to keep it clean.

Having used it twice for a trial run I’ve managed to get it all back into the bag it came with both times. Which makes a change.

In the end it was a much cheaper alternative for me than buying a tailor-made blocker screen for my awning which I feel are well overpriced for what they are. This will do the job.

I can’t really fault it it’s waterproof as well as UV resistant and does a great job of blocking the sun. As already mentioned it’s well put together. I can’t say much more other than very pleased with it.

If it works out as I hope out on the campsite it will it will do the trick nicely . At the price its good value as I feel you get a lot of material for your money (20.55 at the time off the review) 3 cheaper than a much smaller one I reviewed recently. Thumbs up.

This awning has been perfect for our small garden.

The garden is overlooked on one side and the awning has given us the added privacy we craved.

It is very easy to put up and was even steady in some moderate winds we had recently.

The cloth is sturdy and hardwearing and should last us a few seasons yet

Not the thickest material, although its Oxford fabric.
It is quite easy to fit on, make sure you tighten and secured it properly, as it could be a bit flimsy once loosened.
The waterproof bit yet to be tested, but it does the job of providing some shade and a little shelter.
    Good price at below 20.

Does the job and reasonably priced

This came in very handy the past few UK squally days where it would have been tricky to transport and set up my gazebo this is a little carrier bag full of tricks to shield you and your things from the rain and sun if that shines.

The fabric is good quality and waterproof and the D rings seem strong. The one issue is the ropes are so short they are only useful if you had attachment points exactly the size of the sail. This is not reality to expect that in a users environment.

So I added my own ropes to each 4 D rings.

I found it easy to use and very practical for untrustworthy weather days.

We live in an area that gets more sunshine than the UK average, which can be a mixed blessing these days when everyone is so much more conscious of the hazards of too much sun. When you live with reliable sunshine you tend to want to spend more of your outside time in the shade. We impulse ordered the Orgrul 3.6 x 2.8 m sun shade sail, as we’ve seen similar shade creation systems in gardens on the Mediterranean coast.

It’s a simple idea, creating a large shady area with something that’s not a permanent structure like a pergola, marquee or awning. The corners of the sail are fixed to points on a house, wall, fence posts, trees etc. and drawn tight.

The sail is Oxford cloth, a bit of a catch-all term for coated man made fabric, and while the sail is very big it doesn’t seem heavy duty. The fabric is shiny and lightweight. The same can be said for the 4 nylon cords provided as fixings.

It’s not a blackout blind, you will see bright sunshine through it, and the shade it provides will reflect that. It’s not a heavy waxed canvas sheet, the ties aren’t heavy duty bungees, but you get what you pay for.

The price a time of review is 18.99, which reflects the cost-effective features and seems value for money.

I ordered this for my mums garden as she doesn’t get much shade which is annoying when taking the grandkids around in the summer. This is great at provides shade all day no matter where the sun is. Brill

I didn’t expect the material of this sunshade to be as lightweight as it is, when I think sunshade I think canvas. Canvas is much heavier and is harder to put up because of that, so this one is much better. It is excellent quality with nice strong anchor rings. The material is waterproof, but what I particularly like about it is that it provides not only shade from the sun, but it protects against the harmful rays too. It’s perfect for all weather and it looks really nice once it is up.

Orgrul 3.6m x 2.8m Sun Shade Sail Waterproof,98% UV Block Sail Awning with Waterproof Strip …….
    Brand: Orgrul

This is a good size awning at 3.6m x 2.8m, it comes folded up in a small bag of the same material and contains 4 x stings for fixing. I’m not the best for DIY but managed to get this up quite easily. It is made from light weight Polyester Oxford 210D fabric which makes it waterproof and UV resistant. It has stainless steel ‘D’ rings fixed to each corner by very strong double folded and triple stitched webbing. The webbing passes down each side and is sewn into the fabric to give good strong edges.

It is quite thin and light but also very strong, good size too.

A good size and easy to fi

This sunshade sail is more than just that. Once hooked up and place over your area of choice, it has benefit of reducing the sun’s heat on the area – We found just that extra couple of metres is sufficient to prevent the worst of the sun’s heat hitting into the kitchen on a really sunny day.
But also, it can prevent the worst of the rain too and thus providing the ability for you to use your outside space even in the rain – perfect if you want to enjoy some outside time and the weather turns against you.
I can see this working for a makeshift car port too..
In terms of quality, it seems pretty reasonable as far as these things go. Should be strong enough most of the time, I’d definitely recommend taking it down in high winds though, might hold, but why risk it.
Overall for around 15 ( it’s got a 20% off voucher), I’d say definitely good value.

This sail is a nice size and looks good on the front of out summer house. It is a little thinner than I expected but it does work perfectly well so I suppose that it doesn’t matter.
It was easy to fit, we have fixed it so we can take it down easily if it gets windy.

As my toddlers getting older and the weathers improving he wants to be outside in the garden more and more. I thought this shade will sit on top of the gazebo and as it blocks UV rats it’s perfect for a shaded area to both sit and play in. Good strong material with well made D rings to tie the rope. Irs waterproof but just to add one thing with our British weather the rain does tend to sit on top creating a puddle so I tap it with a brush each morning so the water doesn’t get to heavy on top. Great value

We’ve been looking for a large shade to cover an outdoor area for a while, so as this was quite large, and definitely large enough, I thought it was worth a look.

The sail itself is made from 210D Oxford fabric, it feels strong, but is thinner than I imagined it would be. I would imagine that being lighter it will prevent it from sagging as it would if it were maybe a thicker cotton or canvas fabric.

The fabric itself is not just waterproof and dustproof, but it can protect you from the sun as it offers a 95% UV protection of UPF 50+, better than just shading the area.

The sail seems to be well made and the stitching looks, and feels, strong. The D rings are made from stainless steel, so should be prevented from rusting. It comes packaged in a well made storage bag, but I doubt that you would easily ever get it back in it after it has been used once as it is a tight fit.

    Within the pack you get:
    1 x Sail Shade
    1 x Storage Bag
    4 x Nylon Ropes

I think that there isn’t really anything that I don’t like about this (storage bag size aside), and at 3.6 m x 2.8 m this is a good size and quality sail shade for 18.99.
