It’s a doddle to put together. It is very light. It seems quite well made.
Top heavy and falls over very easily, fittinq its bag over the two uprights and putting some ballast in the bag makes it perfectly stable. Relaxing to sit in for long periods,it is also very easy to lean forward in for cooking on the ground when camping. For me it could do with being 5cm wider. The cup holders are a waste of space and not practical, have cut mine off.
I like this chair and would buy it again, it seems good value compared to others.

This is a deceptively sting and comfy chair that folds up nicely so you can carry it around. When I first opened it I had doubts whether it would hold my weight but it’s been great, so handy as it’s so lightweight too

I currently have this chair out in front of our tent. It is quick and easy to put together and to take down. In use, it is comfortable and you can sit back properly in it which is quite unusual for these types of chairs. It seats either adult or child easily.

    Would recommend.

Bought this after being impressed with the comfort on the low back Yizi Go chairs we already own. These are similarly comfy with a nice seat bucket, and much better than the one I bought from another brand which was heavier and always left me feeling like I was sliding off the seat. I had a minor fault on the chair I received but Trekology customer service is brilliant and they sorted it out within hours. I’ve bought quite a few of their products now and I struggle to find better quality and design at this price point. Good products at a great price

A little bit pricey but a really great chair otherwise.

We keep it in the car and it’s so nice and handy. Folds away well and opens easily.
Very comfortable and sturdy. Happy to recommend.

Waterproof performance: The aluminium alloy makes it not rust in the environment of wind and rain
Comfort level: The rack structure is simple and easy to assemble
Wind resistance: The angle formed by the structure of the cross and the ground makes its wind resistance particularly superior. The center point is subjected to vertical force, and the length of the four feet determines the strength of the four resistance arms, so the wind is not easy to blow it up.
Firmness: The aluminium pipe structure is in the shape of a loop, with superior structural performance, sufficient sheet materials, and the structure is particularly strong.

This is such an easy chair to put up.

Joined poles all slot into place and it’s obvious where each goes. Slot in the seat and headrest and your seat is made. Just as easy to break down and pack easily into the bag. It’s comfortable but low and for some might be tricky to get out of quickly but it is what it is – a portable chair. Not the same as a fold up chair with no assembly but a smaller package.

Well made and perfectly fit for purpose.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWe were looking for three chairs to store on a campervan and would be sturdy and comfortable. Big ask!
We read all the reviews before buying them but still unpackaged with a little uncertainty.
Any good? Hell, yes! They pack down so small and are really lightweight but the construction is really strong and high quality. Our 12 year old put them together without instruction. Yes, they do blow over easily in a wind, but thats the only down side as far as I can see. Stay in the chair is the easy answer 🙂 They are really comfy and not too high. As a 5ft 1in petite female, I sometimes find chairs dig into the back of my thighs…not these. Really happy with purchase and would recomend.

This is a great outdoor chair.

It comes well packaged and has its own bag, so it can be folded away well and kept clean and dry ready for use.

The chair is really easy to use, and for a fold up chair, its quite comfortable.

The material is machine washable, or simply wipe clean. And it support a massive 300lbs so pretty much suitable for anyone – would recommend

We’ve got a couple of these type of chairs and they are so handy to throw into the boot of the car for a camping trip or, more often when we take the kids to their cricket matches there’s not always seating available so these are great for quickly popping up for a comfy portable seat.

This one is the best we’ve tried, it is lightweight and super-easy to assemble with all the poles having a threaded rope through them so that you need zero instructions to quickly assemble it – the poles just stay loosely connected where they need to be fastened up rather than scattered about in the bag.

The difference with this one is the high back, it’s a lot more comfortable for extended sitting as there is more support. The neck cushion is a really nice addition to and just tops it off nicely.

It’s slightly heavier than the smaller ones that we have and can also be blown over easily if you’re not sitting in it, so maybe for mountaineering you may look elsewhere but for regular use as a sports event sideline parenting chair or for camping/picnic trips where you’re looking for something to pop in the boot, carry a shortish distance and have a super comfy seat then this is absolutely spot on!!

This chair takes just a few seconds to put together having got it out of its bag. Once done, it doesn’t look as though it should be sturdy, but it copes well with my considerable frame once I’ve lowered myself into position. There’s a side pocket to keep your phone, and a built-in adjustable headrest. The angle of the chair can’t be adjusted, but that would be a lot to expect of a chair that folds into a travel bag.
It’s comfortable once you’re sitting in it, but it’s quite low to get out of.
Overall, an excellent camping chair for expeditions where every ounce counts.

I love this chair – although I’ve got a bigger camping chair, this one is so lightweight, it’s about a quarter of the size and weight of my other one. This means it is super easy to carry around at events, because my other one really does make my arms tired. It’s a clever design that minimises weight, and it’s a bit tricky to put together. You unfold the scaffold and then you have to slide on the fabric that creates the finished chair. It only has short legs, again to cut down on weight, but it’s so comfy, when you sit on it. You lean back at an angle – it’s not a chair for sitting upright, more of a deck chair kind of angle really. The colour is kind of beige. It would be perfect for a day on the beach – I’ve taken it to the canal and also into the garden just to test it out. I am not sure how long it will last, because it is so lightweight – but it appears sturdy enough to last. I shall report back if it doesn’t last. Recommended if you want a very lightweight chair that you need to carry some distance before using it.

Surprisingly sturdy chair, it is so lightweight I thought it would break under my 110-kilo weight like all the other chairs of this design have done in the past but this one holds me no problem at all. Nothing has come loose on it and it still looks brand new after two decent camps in the hills. The chair is lightweight enough to strap to my backpack and take with me on fairly long hikes too.

Trekology never disappoints with their stuff and I see them becoming a real competitor for the more well-known brands in the future.

A camping chair that’s easy to set up.
Doesn’t come fully built, sliding the material over the ends of the legs is required.
Storing this away is easy and compact, excellent for camping.
The chair once built feels like it can handle a good amount of weight.
Due to the shape of the seat to anyone with “bigger bums” because it’ll be too tight and uncomfortable.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been pondering buying one of these portable chairs for a while. I’m 6ft and 16st so have been dubious on how one of these would feel to sit in. I’ve had opportunity to try a low back Robens chair and it was too small. Took the plunge on this and glad I did. Very well made. None of the plastic knuckle joints like some other brands. Nice raclined position, and the back is high enough for me to rest my head on the provided cushion. Excellent compact chair.

This is a definite step up from the cheap camping chairs we bought in our local supermarket for about 20 each. It’s so comfortable it would make an excellent stop gap in your house or be great in student accommodation. It took my 16 stone weight without any signs of duress and was so easy to carry around and pack away. Admittedly, it’s the concept rather than this specific chair- but the design of this feels a little more premium than the bargain basement type. Buy in confidence.

This camping chair from Trekology is really compact and lightweight. It comes packed away in a little carry bag which zips up. The chair flat packs down and is stored in the bag. The chair has a separate frame which goes together very easily. The tubes that form the chair are held together with elastic running through them, a little like tent poles. After putting the poles together the whole chair cover stretches over the frame. There is a separate headrest which is secured with velcro. All in all very easy to assemble and then take down again after use.

The chair seems to be very well made and is very light weight, so it would be great to take camping if you were carrying all your equipment. It is relatively comfortable to sit in but as it is so lightweight and the poles so slim, I did feel a little bit nervous about how durable and strong the chair is. It is quite slim, so big bottoms beware! All in all a great chair to take camping, fishing etc, especially if you are carrying it any distance.

This is a brilliant lightweight chair for camping , it’s much more comfortable than the earlier model with lower back support, this has a really good back support and comfortable head rest , it’s so comfortable to sit on.

The frame is thick , it’s really supportive and takes about a minute to assemble , once the frame is up you just hook the cover over the frame poles , they slot into the little sleeves at the back of the cover , the chair cover is 1000d material, it feels tough and rugged and made to last, it can hold 135kg , I weigh 19 stone and it supports my weight with ease.

The feet on the chair have also been improved, they are bigger and stop the chair sinking into the ground.

The chair is quite compact when in its carry case , it’s a zip up case that is quite compact and still fits into a day pack easily.

You can easily attach the carry bag to the outside of a rucksack if needed too.

This is a good chair for camping, Bushcraft, fishing or just for using at the park on a day out or in the garden.

I’ve used it a couple of times now whilst out camping, I find it very comfortable and the high back design is much better for taller people like myself.

At 1.4kg it’s not super lightweight, but still light enough to carry to camp or to use on a day camp, if you don’t mind carrying the extra weight for comfort at camp it’s a great little chair.

A great camping chair , supportive and comfortable

The chair is packed away in such a small bag with carry straps and it is lightweight. I have photographed it next to one of my gardening shoes to show the size.

The frame is in sections which are all attached you just need to pop the rods together then attach the cover by the four tabs. 2 minute job!

There is a detachable head rest making it lovely and comfortable to sit and enjoy the sun! Easy to get out of too unlike a deckchair!

It’s quite narrow so a bit if a squeeze if – erm trying to but this politely – your bottom is slightly large

Overall a great outdoor chair which I will be using a lot in the garden over the summer.

Premium camping/backpacking chair. This Trekology chair is very high quality and very comfy. This is my new favourite backpacking chair, ever so slightly longer pack size than the current chair I use and maybe a smidge heavier, but so worth it. It’s high back, head cushion and seat angle make for a very very comfy seat. The high back and head cushion really do add more comfort than you might think to a camping/backpacking chair. Together with the high quality frame (no plastic joins), the metal poles slot into metal fixings with the help of elastic chords. It’s very easy and very quick to put up and take down, with everything slotting together very well thanks to the high quality parts. The seat section is also well made with thick sleeves where the frame inserts and a little tension is required to fit to the frame. The back of the seat has a tension bar sewn in to stop the seat folding inwards when weight is on it (this use to be a separate pole on earlier Trekology chairs), so less chance of losing a separate fitting pole, and again adds to the comfort. I think if your after a more premium chair that’s extremely comfortable you can’t go wrong with this. It’s about 15 above what I’ve paid for some of the chairs I own, but after using it I think it’s extra that’s well spent for the quality and comfort this chair gives you. Recommend

High quality, very comfy premium backpacking/camping chair.

I got this Trekology camping chair mainly for use in my garden. It arrives in a good quality zip up carrying bag which has a loop on the end to make it easy to carry or hang up. Inside the bag is the chair frame, cover and headrest pillow. The frame is folded up into pieces, with the whole bundle held together with a velcro strap. The headrest also attaches to the cover by velcro.

I was expecting the chair to be a bit tricky to assemble but it was amazingly easy due to the clever design. I didn’t even need the instructions, it took me only a couple of minutes. All the tubes of the frame are threaded together with elastic so you don’t have to worry about which piece goes where, it all just slots together beautifully. Once the frame is assembled then the cover just stretches over it, secured by slotting the frame in at four points (two at the front, two at the back). Other than the headrest, there are pockets on either side of the chair cover for storing small items (phone, water bottle etc.) and that’s it as far as features go.

The chair is light enough to carry in one hand and I weigh just over 100kg so I sat down in it slowly, worried that it wouldn’t hold me, but it supported me with no problems. It’s not quite as comfortable as a recliner but as it has a high back, it’s certainly comfortable enough to relax in the garden on.

The main downside is that the chair is so light that it wouldn’t take much of a wind to blow it over. it does feel very light and insubstantial but that is the whole point of it, it’s no bigger or heavier than it needs to be. It’s certainly sturdy enough when sitting on it.

Putting the chair away again was almost as simple as putting it together. I’m not sure I folded up the frame as efficiently as it could be done, but it was still small enough to get back into the bag together with the cover and headrest, which I was very pleased with. It all zipped up nicely and that was that.

I’m very happy with this Trekology camping chair. It’s compact when folded up, easy to assemble, comfortable to sit in and very lightweight. Overall build quality is decent so it should prove durable. I am more than happy to recommend this chair.

There are a few little details that make this camping chair an improvement on my previous one, but the main one that wins me over is the high back and headrest. It makes all the difference pin turning this chair from a temporary place to sit for a picnic until it’s time to move on, to a chair you can really relax in for quite a long time, and which you could spend a sunny afternoon in.

The padding of the head pillow isn’t especially luxuriant, but it’s still appreciated, and with a bucket seat that shapes around your bum and sides, the result is more comfy than any camping chair I’ve tried before. Mesh sections in the fabric keep the air flowing and stop it from getting too sticky.

Other nice details include the ease of assembly and disassembly, which is cleverly managed via taut elasticity that means the chair practically assembles itself when you want to sit, and taking it apart isn’t much harder either.

The carry case is smart, and sensibly sized, not so small that squeezing the chair back into it becomes a dexterity puzzle, and not so large that it wastes a lot of room in a camping bag. It’s also very lightweight overall, and even when assembled you can easily move it around one-handed with no problems.

It isn’t the cheapest of camping chairs, but it’s my new favourite one.

    Trekology High Back Camping Chair.
Very good quality chair it is the sturdiest aluminium framed style I’ve tested so far.
It does lay back a little too far for my liking even with the included pillow I don’t find it as comfortable as I feel a should but that’s an easy fix by just adding another pillow.
The chair is very quick and easy to set up up.and very comfortable to sit in, other chairs like this I’ve test in the past force you to sit forward this one allows you to relax and recline a little.
Even tho its 500 g heavier than most low back compact camping chairs the extra weight and hight in my opinion is worth it and it is suitable for hiking while other high back chairs are not.
This in my opinion is a very good all round camping chair.

The best high back Aluminium camping chair ive tested so far.

This is light. It arrives in a carry bag, it is folded and bound by “Velcro” tie.

Assembly is intuitive, there is a manual, but it just fell into place, each part is held by an elastic tether, and slips into place folding out into a frame.
When I had this up and standing I had a moment thinking could this really be strong enough?

The nylon fabric of the seat then simply slips onto the frame, there are four pockets, two at the top of the seat back, and two at the bottom of the seat, the fabric is then stressed and suspended, hammock like, in the metal frame.

Settling into the seat there is no sense that it is so light, it feels strong and secure.

    I was then impressed.

The last test is unfolding the chair, which went well, I’m not pretending it went back in the bag as neatly as it came out, but it fits, the back zips, and I’m sure after a few more times of assembly/disassembly the process will be neater and easier.

That I got it back in the bag was then also impressive, and in fact as important.

    I like this chair.

    It's clever.

This folding camping chair is compact and lightweight making it perfect for keeping in the boot of your car or taking with you in your campervan, caravan or tent. It is the ideal size for taking on day trips to the seaside or for picnics in the countryside as well.
All of the chair components are stored in a small fabric bag with a good quality zip that glides open and shut easily. Apparently this bag is small enough to fit in your flight luggage bag as well.
This chair comes with instructions, but you don’t really need them because all of the heavy-duty aluminum components for the frame are hinged together with heavy elastic-type material.
The seat is only 40cms from the ground and some people may find it a little low for getting out, but my husband says he has no difficulty with the low placing of the seat and actually finds it really comfortable to sit on. The seat is a good width and the material feels sturdy. This seat is easy to wipe clean and the fabric is machine washable should it require a full clean at any time.
The back rest is lovely and high and you have a Velcro fastening pillow which provides neck support and additional comfort. There are mesh pockets attached on either side and these are very useful for holding your drink cans or small bottles, as well as a mobile phone etc.
This chair is very lightweight, which is great for travelling but it will probably need securing to the ground on particularly windy days to keep it in place.
My husband had this chair out of the bag and set up in our garden within 5 minutes of it being delivered, but he did find it a little more challenging to pack away. He managed to fit it all back in its bag okay, but it doesn’t look anywhere near as neat as when it arrived. I am sure I will do a better job of putting it away next time!
I think this is a good quality, comfortable folding camping chair that should stand the test of time. I consider the current price of 44.99 to be reasonable when you compare the cost with similar camping chairs that are currently on the market.

    Lightweight,compact and comfortable

    – pockets and adjustable neck pillow

    Cons:

I’m really impressed with this camping chair. It very much fills a particular niche in the world of camping chairs. At one end, are the ultra lightweight camping chairs and at the other end are the big and bulky (yet still collapsible) chairs. The big and bulky chairs tend to be very comfortable, but are heavy and require a large space to store them. The ultra lightweight chairs are lightweight and fold down to a very small size. This type of chair is good for backpacking and if you are short of storage space.

You’ll find this chair somewhere in the middle. It is made in the same style as the more lightweight chairs – The frame is made of lightweight metal and is comprised of a number of short tubular sections which are joined together with elastic. Each tubular section slots into the next section to make the chair’s frame. The main seat then fastens over the frame. To unpack, simply remove the seat cover and fold up. Then unclip each section of the frame and fold it up. The frame really does feel strong. Much stronger in fact, than the two lightweight camping chairs that I own.

The chair packs down to a relatively small size and goes into the supplied bag. Where this chair differs from the more lightweight offerings, is that it has a higher back, meaning you can rest your head and thus, making it more comfortable like the larger camp chairs. There is also a pillow which attaches to the top of the chair with velcro. On either side of the chair are can holders. It is possible to fit a beer can or a 500ml fizzy pop bottle into the holders.

I would definitely recommend this chair. It is perfect for someone like me who wants a bit more comfort, but doesn’t have the space to store the larger camping chairs.

Definitely recommed - Lightweight but more comfy than the smaller lightweight chairs

I researched extensively before I bought this chair. My initial though was Helinox (also King amp, Rubens, Naturehike, Kamui, etc.) but could not accept the price of Helinox, over 100 for one chair. I was also not so convinced by the plastic connectors at the frame for the legs. The Trekology high chair had excellent reviews and I like the all allu construction of the frame. The decking is very well made and sturdy, the construction too. I am 183 and weigh 95kg and this thing holds beautifully. I have read rest cushion included (Velcro attached), so it is very comfortable for sunbathing, sleeping and just chilling out. I was a bit surprised by the packed size, not as small as advertised — in reality it is about 49/18/15cm. As said in many reviews, it tips easily and in winds it should be tied down somehow, as it is very light and can be blown away. So far it’s well worth the 49.15 (with free delivery) and it is every bit as good as the 130 Helinox.
