A friend had one and I was so impressed with it I had to get one.
Its just a little noisy while it’s making the cubes but when the tray is full it stops.
The cubes do start to melt if not used straight away and the machine starts up again to make more. Ice cubes are made within about 8 – 10 mins of turning machine on. Ideal for parties or hot days.
I did notice a clinical type taste to the first cubes I made so I emptied the machine and wiped it out with a white vinegar solution then filled it up with water, made a batch of ice cubes which I threw away. I then emptied the machine and started again, this time no clinical taste.
Definitely a good buy in my eyes.
Just fill with water and let it do its thing, this summers heat waves were horrid, having this on hand was perfect, never ending ice.
This ice machine does what it says on the tin – it makes ice. The speed is pretty satisfactory and production is consistently uniform. However, it would be better if the ice cubes were bigger. I found that the ice cubes melted pretty quickly once in a drink (within a few minutes) as the cubes are quite small, even on the large setting. Easy to clean, very quiet whilst production is taking place. It would also be good if there was an optional sound played when the water is empty so you are made aware instantly and also if a sound is played when the ice basket is full, I often find it has filled up and stopped production then the ice has began to melt before I notice. This should be optional as not everybody would prefer this.
Most certainly well worth the buy, once ice cubes came out when full I put it into the freezer. I have 2 draws full currently and wow they last much longer than shop bought ice cubes and colder too. Just what we need for this summer. Simple to use easy to clean. We use it every day.
Fantastic machine, ice size is small but my daughter loves it as perfect size to fit into drinks bottle and for her ice coffee. Makes ice in 9 mins. I stick it on for a few hours fill a tub up and put it in freezer. Highly recommend its fast and very easy to use.
Great size and very compact unit, starts producing within 15 mins and defo worth every penny.
Placed in under stairs cupboard and is very quiet when making ice.
The first lot of cubes are not fully formed but as soon as it gets up to speed it’s a great little machine,72 cubes in the first hour,bag them put into freezer repeat or use them as you go in a nice ice cider,I recommend you flush through with a cup full of water before each use,I drain mine everytime,takes seconds, if I am being critical I would give it 9/10

Machine is quite heavy and big, the ice basket is a fair size too.
Machine is quiet apart form a fan sound and the dropping if the ice cubes which you can set to have small or large.
Easy to empty the water if you’ve made yourself a bucket of ice on your first time of using it…ice for the month I just wiped it around with kitchen paper then kept the lid of the machine ajar to get air circulation in there. Ice was pretty quick and liads of it, very pleased.
On the whole, I’m happy with this machine but wished it was smaller on the worktop and much lighter in weight, great for a family or parties you can’t go wrong, well worth the monies too have ice on tap…literally…especially on a Saturday night…

This is a great ice machine but as some of the other reviews mention it is quite large and takes up quite a bit of space. I’m still very happy with it. It is easy to use and makes ice quickly. The ice cubes are small but I just make lots of ice at once and stick it in the freezer. It’s a bit of a faf to empty and clean.

Really quick to produce ice. Was a little disappointed with the size of the “large” cubes
I was expecting something less bulky but that was my fault for reading the sizes wrongly. It’s moderately quick – there’s no discernible taste – but I use filtered water. I make lots of ice and bag them up and use from the freezer. It is a bit noisy so I use in the pantry.

Very handy machine if you want ice in a hurry. It makes cubes every 8 to 10 minutes and a full load of water can make a large bag in a couple of hours. The large cubes could be a bit larger but that’s my only bad point. Haven’t cleaned it yet so can’t comment on that but if that is as easy as the operation of the machine, it wouldn’t be a problem. Glad I bought it, and it doesn’t take up much room either.

if you need ice for an event, start a few days early to bag up the ice – if you are catering for lots of people.
if its just for the family you could have the machine on all day and have enough ice.

Absolutely brilliant! Quick & reasonably sized when it gets going. The first ones are a bit small but probably not cold enough but by the 3rd make they are a lovely size

The ice cubes are smaller than I expected but actually are quite the right size for drinks. The first batch of cubes after 10 minutes is only about 10 cubes but after 20 minutes there’s plenty. It would help to have a sound to alert the user to the “ice full” notification, but the ice tray keeps ice frozen for quite a while till you collect the ice (i.e. it doesn’t seem to melt straightaway).
The machine is a bit on the noisy side as it goes through the various steps of producing ice, but mostly the noise is of ice cubes dropping into the ice tray!
I had already purchased one a few years ago & so decided to buy one for my daughter’s 10th wedding anniversary as I have been so pleased with mine.
It does exactly what is is meant to do, ice in less than 10 minutes just fill it with water and let it do it’s thing so easy to use, would definitely recommend

The ice maker works effectively but takes some time (20 mins) to get going.
Noise is minimal but you can still clearly here the machine in operation when in the same room.
Ice cubes are not that big but appropriate for parties etc
Dont expect HUGE chunky cubes though. These type machines make ice cubes but they are standard sizes. Perhaps the size of a thumbnail.
