The calibrater is very easy to use and doesn’t blow your head off, which is what I thought it might do.
It slips over the end of the sound meter and just make sure you are on the correct settings with the meter.
I have checked it for accuracy and it is bang on.
I do feel better knowing that my meter is accurate now although it has cost more than the meter did to know it is ok now.
It’s a shame these can’t be hired at a reasonable cost as they only need to be used for a couple of minutes!

This meter is easy to use and has straight forward instructions. The software is also easy to install and use and there is an online video that guides you through the set up process, which isn’t complicated. from Unpacking to using the device took around 10 mins. the meter worked well in dBa Mode and I have not had the need to use the dBc mode yet. To calibrate the meter a calibrated sound level calibrator needs to be fitted, which is sold separately so I am unsure of the accuracy of the readings “straight out of the box” as it were but the instruction manual says it has been calibrated in the factory before shipment but there is no calibration certificate with it.

for $109 this calibrator is a steal!, this is a top class 1 calibrator!, its accurate to .3DB. this is a scientific piece of equiptment. it can measure 1/2 inch and 1 inch SLM microphones.
Ich kalibrierte einen Bruel&Kjaer Schallpegelmesser (2233) damit. Dieser wich nur 0,5dB vom Sollwert ab. Wie ist es aber mit der Kalibrierung des Kalibrators? Wie lange bleibt der Schalldruckpegel konstant? Gibt es eine Kalibrierstelle fr das Gert?
Die Bedienung ist einfach. Das Teil pat genau zu dem Mikrophon des o.a. Schallpegelmessers. Die Durchmesser der Mikros sind genormt.

The instructions that came with the unit do not explain the use of the two output jacks labeled, AC … and DC …. on the side of the device. There appears to be no explanation anywhere for the two jacks/ports.
Everything works great! It works accurately like the professional phonometer. The meter can measure sound levels between 30 and 130 decibels which fulfills my needs. When I use it at night, the backlight function does help a lot. The PC software is easy to use. What I need to do is to connect the meter and my computer via USB cable. The software will configure automatically and I can save the record to my PC for further processing. I highly RECOMMEND for users who are looking for a user-friendly and high-end sound level meter with a reasonable price.
The size of the calibrator is an issue. It’s hard to fit it in my gig bag. Works as described.
Nice large digital display with responsive measurements. The buttons are also large and unit is easy to use.

Tiene una gran capacidad de almacenamiento, hasta 32000 registros. Programas el tiempo de integracin. Se acompaa con un software muy sencillo de manejar.
Il fonometro permette di fare tutto quello che elencato nella descrizione. La registrazione possibile solo dopo l’installazione del software perch, credo che non ci sia una memoria interna ed il file di registrazione si salva sul pc. Non ho mai usato Fonometri prima di oggi e non saprei se funzioni correttamente o meno. Quello che ho notato e che in una stanza priva di rumori i valori variano notevolmente e mi sembra strano.
I have used the meter successfully in occupational and environmental. It works as the manual indicates. Was packaged well. Data collected precise, easy to use software. Can stay whole night. No problem at all!
