    Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI got the cylinder style of this stove. I unpacked it the afternoon it arrived, and was cooking dinner within the hour. I have a yard full of trees that are forever dropping sticks. Between my Sun Joe chipper shredder, and this little stove, I plan on having these piles of twigs destroyed by the end of the summer. I was amazed on how little paper I used. I had grabbed a Food Lion ad foldout from the store, and used only one page of it to light a few small twigs, it quickly ignited-and I added a few more substantial twigs/branches. It quickly heated up. I cook with cast iron, so I was a little concerned with stability. Some of my cast iron is very old, so the bottom of my pot was not exactly flat. I had to watch that pot a bit more, but my skillet was solid. I cooked a sort of vegetable/stir fry, and then cooked my meat separately (it all took less than 10 minutes). I like this stove so much, that I may get another. No more cooking in the kitchen this summer, this is so much fun! On a more serious note, if in a SHTF/weather situation, you can cook quickly, with little fuel, and little smoke. If you are on the fence, get off and buy this, you will not regret it. {As you can see, I was in a hurry and just set it up on my fire pit base!}

Heavy duty, works just as advertised, a bit on the heavier side but that adds to the stability. Used several times (10+) and other than soot there is almost no identifiable wear. Use it to cook breakfast and occasionally as a simple campfire for warmth.

Har packat upp och det ser bra och stabilt ut. Snabbt start och effektiv frbrnning, uterst lite aska kvar. Om man har liten grop med blt jord under, ingen brand risk. Slocknar snabbt och efter en kvart, redo att packas i vskan. Bra kp.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersProdotto eccellente.

    Spettacolare

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery sturdy stove, and so easy to use! Just start a tiny fire in the bottom, and then keep feeding small wood into port. Creates generous flame, with modest amount of smoke. Worked great for me with cast iron skillet.

Came well packaged and in perfect condition. Haven’t used it yet but impressed by the weight and solid build. I did not want anything that would be blown over in the wind. Looks like it will last a long time. Will update after using.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI was not expecting this stove to be so well built. I’m extremely impressed, this is an item that I can see still being around when my great grand kids are taking their kids camping. One thing you need to know if you have not figured it out already, you should realize that all of the stoves like this are pictured to look like they are really big. Maybe a marketing thing, but you need to know that ALL OF THEM are small, pay attention to the dimensions. As for this one, it is perfect for camping or survival, it will handle one pot or pan at a time.
I LOVE IT AND RECOMMEND IT. One more thing… it’s really heavy for it’s size, so don’t think you are going to back-pack with it.

This is an amazing stove, small size, very portable and it gets the job done every time I use it. From coking full meals while camping to just marshmallows, it is just great!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersTrs fficace !

You really don’t have to use much wood when using this – which is great. Cuts way down on the amount of wood you need to cook. It also has nice metal holders for your pot or fry pan. You will have to use dry smaller-cut wood for it as partial wet wood will cause the fire to go out or just smolder.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Usersaloha, great design for cooking outdoors/ camping! fuel is twigs to smaller branches, all which can be managed/ broken down by hand or with a hand tool like a small camping axe/ hatchet. getting the fire started can be a bit tricky but once lit its a roaring inferno, easily boiling water in minutes etc (it operates close to a single burner, which is great for a solo dude or a couple people, but you won’t be cooking a 3 course meal all at once on this). main thing to keep in mind is that because its basically a jet engine fueled by twigs you have to manage fuel at all times, no putting the pot on and walking away, new fuel needs to be added very regularly, like every few minutes. I find it best to gather a LOT of fuel and having it ready to go BEFORE starting a fire, w/o fuel fire burns out very fast, during cooking you need to constantly feed fuel (its just twigs, don’t wig out, its easy) to keep at cooking temps, it add’s on extra role to whomever is the Chef but very manageable once you get used to it.

The smaller, compact size as it can be used in many different locations, makes storage and portability great. I will be planning to make a top plate to go on each extended arms.

Golden Review Award: 96 From Our UsersWhat I DID NOT LIKE is that I got a used stove that someone had packed up and returned without cleaning it. How disgusting!

But this thing is indestructible, so a quick wipe and sweep up the ashes that had fallen out of it was all it needed.

I lit it with a piece of paper towel drenched in cooking oil. This stove will have you searching your neighbor’s yard for twigs before long! Great way to clean up the yard, and I had bacon and eggs on bread in one of my many cast iron pans in no time

This is a nice de-stresser as it keeps me focused on keeping the fire going and out of my head. It tunes out the constant interruptions, and the food was delicious.

I would not hand carry that thing very far as it is quite heavy. But it will also never blow over in the wind. Yes, ashes fall out, but you would choke off the fire if they didn’t. Just be mindful where you set this stove.

If you know how to light a woodstove you can light a rocket stove. I am a disabled female senior citizen and am having a blast with this stove!

    This thing rocks!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI haven’t used it yet, but I feel safe in assuming it will work as promised.
it’s nice and sturdy, a little heavy even, but that means it will last longer.
easy to use , just screw on feet, slip on pot holder plates, and add wood.
nicely bundled in a carry case.

his stove is a fun unit to use, does it cook well, yes but, you must remember to keep the wood coming in to keep the fire going, my grand kids love putting the wood as needed so, as I said, it really is a fun stove to use but more so, a great back up stove if needed beyond overlanding

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWow, this thing gets HOT! As others have mentioned, starting the fire requires the same amount of effort/technique as any other wood-burning configuration. But once this gets going, it eats everything I throw at it…bark or no bark, green or dry. Because of how hot it gets, you need to make sure all coals are completely spent and ideally no longer in the stove before calling it a day as it has no problem re-igniting all by itself. The holes on the bottom do allow hot coals to blow in the wind so be mindful of your setup. This thing is heavy, sturdy, and I expect it to last a long time. I’m happy with my purchase.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersBuilt well for a lifetime. Cooks hotdogs on a stick like childhood memories. We are happy to get it. Smokes only when you first start your fire and again when you let it die down at the end,but during fire no smoke. Does require frequent feeding of tender. Had to keep pushing wood into it. But you don’t have to use chopped wood just sticks! Emergency use indoors if you crack a window to allow fresh air and beginning smoke escape. Room should be insulated to hold heat after fire is out. This would only be for survival use in hard times to keep from freezing. We use it to recreation cook hotdogs and food while relaxing in the yard. Like it better than our grill. And it’s pretty cool.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAfter my initial purchase, I remained skeptical until delivery. At that point, I realized that I had made an excellent purchase. This camping stove is sturdy, stout, and obviously well-made. The heavy gauge steel fabrication lends itself to an impressive weight profile. The welding beads exceeded my expectations and no doubt meet all applicable industry standards. When I loaded this stove with lumber scraps and fired it up, the radiant heat produced had me retreating after about 5 minutes. This stove gets HOT very quickly. With the appropriate cast iron cookware, someone would have no problem roasting a large beef roast or whole chicken. Highly recommend this camp stove!

I gave the overall a 4 only because they sent something completely wrong the first time, but they immediately made it right and sent the correct item otherwise they would have revived 5 stars all the way!!

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI bought this for emergencies, and for some clandestine bivouacking. I figured that since a rocket stove is supposed to burn so hot, that it would produce less smoke. I’ve fired this up a couple of times now. It smokes a lot until it really gets going. Much like a wood stove will do. Not a knock against the product. That’s the only reason that I knocked a star off. This might not be fair, as the stove does work as it should. It just didn’t quite work as I’d hoped. Cooked a steak in my little cast iron frying pan in no time. Once hot, it burns really hot. Make sure that you have something metal underneath, or very cleared ground around it, as it has air intake vents on the very bottom, and ashes and small coals drop out. This probably goes without saying, but I just wanted to make sure that I painted an accurate picture of this product. I am satisfied with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 70 From Our UsersOnce you get it going it works great. No instructions on how to get it started. Used newspaper and small sticks down in the main pipe over the holes. Put larger wood in the side shoot. I put the stove on a cookie sheet to catch the ash so I can move the ash elsewhere after it cools.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was excited to get this rocket stove in and try it out. Seems well build, sturdy and a little heavy for backpacking but we will be using it around the campground mostly. This little stove has no problem getting hot. 1st cook was fish, hush puppies and onion rings. Second was a 12 quart pot of vegetable and turkey stew. Neither time was heat an issue. I would recommend these if you are looking for a rocket stove.
