I bought the camera 9th oct 2022 found it easy to install and setup,
Last month the tracking started playing up, and was sticking in the down position so I messaged Dekco and in under seven days they have sent me a replacement.
    That’s what I call a brilliant company

After reading some of the reviews, I was not expecting a versatile or standard piece of equipment. I have been very satisfied with this camera, it works and does what it’s supposed to do, I have to say that I have installed it in doors, which does make it easier to get a power supply, but the lens copes with having to focus through a window and the picture quality is still good.
You must have a good and powerful Wi fi signal
The CloudEdge software is written and produced by IBM ,you have to set that up, and works well.

I was looking for a camera to monitor my koi pond and this works incredibly well. Given the price I wasn’t expecting the quality of what I have, so much so I purchased another 2. Cable isn’t that long but you can pick up a 10 extension for 7.99.
Free cloud storage as well. I would recommend for sure.

    Cannot really fault these.
I got two and yea there good. Links up to WiFi no issue.
Only issue I have is my router is directly below camera and sometimes via the app it struggles to do turn commands and then when it does it lags to the point where camera spins around or up and down.
However for the price can’t really complain. The night vision is good and it always alerts via app motion.
You can speak through camera, alarms and light.

Camera gives the best quality and working order with the correct SD card. I had issues before due to installing the latest and fastest SD card (128GB). But with the correct SD card, you get the best picture, best quality, amazing night view, easy to install, easy to access and loads of features on the app. With a 64Gb SD card at HD settings, you get about 5 days of continuous recording and more than 20 days of motion detection picture snaps. More than perfect for home use and other. Can be accesed from anywhere, even from abroad if the internet connection is good.

This is a very good camera for the money. Setup is not too difficult if you follow the instructions — it is best initially to do indoors near the router before mounting on the wall. Putting up is quite straight forward using the template and fixing provided but the cable isn’t the longest. The app is very good once you have got used to it. And can locate your recordings. It is definitely worth while setting the detection area if you don’t want your neighbours setting it off every time they go in their garden should it overlap their boundary.

I love the ability to pan and tilt and also (digital) zoom like a full on bored security guard and being able to switch between IR and “normal” light mode at night is useful too. The main difference being IR does not light up the place but doesn’t record in colour either. The camera is nice and big so very visible and SD card storage (make sure you format the card in the app once inserted into the camera) means no cloud fees.

All in all a great bit of kit for the money.

This camera has many features that make it a great choice for a home security camera. Motion tracking and detection are great features that will allow you to keep an eye on your home even when you are not there. The camera also has a color night vision feature that will allow you to see what is going on even when it is dark outside. The camera also has a two-way audio feature that will allow you to communicate with someone who is at your home. The camera is also waterproof, which is a great feature to have if you live in an area where it rains frequently.

Delivery it was fast and well packed , the given product arrived in safe in the original box the installation it was a bit difficult because you need to think how to install it and also to have electrical socket somewhere around that area and also the Wi-Fi signal it must to be good because due to that you will receive good or bad quality video and I solved the problem with a Wi-Fi repeater which I installed next to the surveillance camera, as I said, the installation is not hard , but the hardest thing is just to think how to do it right the camera it works perfect, the video quality is very good in a daytime and in the night as well I don’t like that the motion tracking it is not working every time and even if it works, than it works slow and it doesn’t do the subject following like in the advertising also the motion detection it doesn’t work properly because I’m receiving a lot of notifications just because of the wind which is moving the trees or other plants and also when the shining sunlight is doing some shadows and slightly moving them I think that the manufacturer needs to think about this issue because it’s really bothering when you receive a lot of notifications I switched off the sound of the notifications but if there is something serious and someone is moving around there , you can’t know because you are tired of the false notifications

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this camera as we have has some thieving toe rags kicking about, tbh didn’t think it would be much with it being so cheap, but the camera is absolutely brilliant! And I’m well impressed, I think I like it more than some more expensive cctv equipment I’ve used in the past.

Really easy to set up and install, easy to use app, have had a good play with everything and for the price I can not fault this camera, night vision brilliant, motion tracking amazing, alarms and notifications are brilliant with a corresponding event marker with the recording.

Had some slight technical issues on initial set up as I had very good Wi-Fi signal but very little Controll and an absolute dismal bit rate, but after contacting seller and within hours it was fixed remotely from the company’s technicians, and is working as it should, have been reassured if their is any more problems ( I very much doubt their will be ) all I have to do is get in touch and everything will be sorted!

Brilliant quality product well worth the price!

If you are humming and haring about buying this. Just do it! You won’t regret it!

    Brilliant seller communication and aftercare.

I have a blackspot in my garden around and out building that is not covered by my CCTV cameras but I didn’t want something I have to plum in and feed to my loft into the DVR. This camera looked good quality and easy to use so I picked it up.

First thing to call out is it looks very professional. Ideally it wouldn’t have the antennae but it is what it is. Installing it is incredibly easy, it comes with the plugs, screws and even a guide for the backplate. Once you drill your holes and enter your plugs it is easy to just plonk it on.

In terms of software installation it is again a piece of cake. FAIR WARNING for those looking to buy this. Please ensure you have 2.4Ghz enabled wifi. If you can’t change it on your router this will not work. It also does not come with an SD Card so if you’re wanting to store videos and have plenty of play back keep that in mind but the description is clear.

Once installed (physically and app wise) it’s a great picture. It is adjustable and the picture in bright, low and no light is pretty excellent. Notifications on this app though are not great, a bit too often for me so I turned them off and periodically check them.

Really happy and for the price you can’t go wrong.

This is a low priced camera that works great.
The camera supports horizontal 350 and vertical 90 pan-tilt rotation ,which is pretty much in all directions when the camera is installed high on the wall.
The camera has a motion sensor that works great and you can also enable the motion tracking of the camera.
Once enabled the motion tracking keeps moving until the object is out of range and there is nothing else that moves.
The motion detection is really good and sometimes the camera is trying to track even things like moving tree leaves.
If you have few trees one next to another and it is windy, you might see the camera moving around and tracking each of the moving leaves.
Sometimes this is bad as the camera is not going back to the default position, but is tracking useless motion.
You can change between different settings for the motion sensing and you can set it to track only human activity, which is great.
The camera is 2K HD ,which is a pretty good quality.
The camera has a really good night vision as well and you can also set it to use colour night vision, which turns on LED light on motion detection.
Overall good camera that I can easily recommend.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

An absolutely fantastic device for just 50 and it’s so easy to install and use, would never thought such technologies are so affordable.

So, installation wasn’t very difficult, had to fix the camera at the front of house. Also, I’ve made sure I’m installing it next to a window so I could connect the power cord inside the house, through a small orifice leading from outside to inside the house. The cable is pretty long, thin enough and can be detached and reattached easily. Very smart made.
Connecting to the mobile app wasn’t an issue as well, just had to be on the same WiFi network with the camera and has to be 2.4GHz.
The app is working very well, easy to use and pretty intuitive. After first connection, the camera can be watched from anywhere, the access to internet is required.
The 64Gb memory stick is enough for a while. It’s not necessarily to connect it to the cloud service and pay monthly, you can access camera’s memory. But alternatively there’s cloud service as well.

The camera is fully mobile, tilt at 360 and pan 140. Really enough for a good view.
During night time, it has IR vision but in case of event, it can turn on the light, as it has a pretty powerful light so it goes on automatically. The light can be used in strobe mode to keep trespassers away and additionally to offer a better image quality during the night.
The device itself is made very well, strong and waterproof. It doesn’t mind any strong winds, continuous rain and so on. Tested months in a row.

    Cons

Well, it has a pretty strange algorithm, in my opinion, and automatic surveillance sometimes won’t notice closer event, but will rather focus on those which are a bit further.
Also, the sensitivity of the movement only has 3 levels – low, medium and high. On high it simply is recording everything. Medium is pretty much the same while on Low it will skip too many events. I have another camera from this brand and that one has 10 levels of sensitivity, now that’s what I was expecting here as well but it doesn’t have. The software is up to date.

Even tho, I consider it an absolute worth product, for the price it is absolutely perfect and can easily compete with some expensive solutions and even beat at some features.

On top of that, it also can be assigned a specific area and if anything is happening in that area, to turn on the siren and lights. It also has 2 ways communication and an absolutely wonderful microphone – very sensitive but the quality of the sound could be better.

Definitely recommended, for sure will surprise you in the best way possible, it did that to me.

Really happy with this camera. It’s easy to set up on the wall and through the CloudEdge App.

The camera itself looks and feels well made. The design is clever – keeps the lens clear of spider webs which was a massive problem with our previous outdoor cameras.

I love the fact that I get notified on my phone if any movement is captured. It also lights up at night at any movement which is a great deterrent (can be turned off in the settings, as with the sound option). I’m able to access the camera from anywhere through the CloudEdge App. The app is really useful for things like moving the camera around, recording clips and it also has an intercom.

I’m able to add other household members and cameras on to the App – keeping everyone alerted and everything organised. Great addition to my home security!

This cctv camera for this price is amazing. This is proper outside 360 cctv camera which won’t miss a thing. In order to power this camera you need to plug it to socket so ideally you want make one outside close to camera on height or in loft where nobody will see and have no access to it.

Camera comes with everything you need for installation including bracket to hang it on wall, plugs with screws, template for drilling holes and 24/7 security stickers on windows too.

Camera is equipped with infrared as well very powerful lights which works incredibly well. This way you can choose to have night time mode or still record in color with help of lights. Quality of footage is outstanding. It is greater than 1080p which allows you to zoom in more without loosing quality and this is important when comes to security camera. I love than you can pan and tilt camera live to see 360. It gives so much freedom. After installing micro sd card you can record 24h footage and in case get access to whole video. Very pleased with camera.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve had a fair amount of experience in relation to Cctv systems. I’ve fitted 2 complete Cctv systems with NVR’s at different locations and have used all manner of different cameras, some POE wired , some BNC & Coax wired systems and a number of wired Wifi cameras connected to the systems via Onvif protocol.

I consider I have a reasonable knowledge and judgement on build and picture quality, low light performance and usability etc.

This is then second Decko camera I have had the opportunity to review and I was left very impressed with then last one. This one is no exception.

The camera arrived in a nicely presented box complete with camera, power cable with plug, instructions , fitting template , back plate, screws and wall plugs.

    Short summary:

    PROS:
    Very nice build quality
Fairly long 12 volt supply cable
    Initialisation process was easy
ONVIF compatible so can be used with NVR’s
Phone App (CloudEdge) works really with well lots of options
Notifications can be muted for an hour or longer (if false activations through wind or rain)
    Compact size
    Excellent 2K HD picture quality
    Really crips clear images
    Wide field Of view
‘Online indicator can be turned off for for discreetness.
Pan & Tit works really well via App
    Motion Tracking worked very well
MicroSD card can be used rather than paying for cloud service
You don’t keep getting badgered to sign up to cloud service
    Very Good Night vision.
Wifi connection was rock solid even though it was well away from the Hub

    CONS:
No zoom that is merely achieved by pinching phone screen
On Night vision the lens can suffer from a little light refraction if facing another Infrared light/camera
Couldn’t find a way to use the Siren & Light independently of each other like the previous one. ( I may be missing something)
Infrared can attract flies/small bugs in summer( but that is a general issue with all cameras)

    Full summary:

    Camera

It feels very well constructed possibly aluminium and has decent weight to it .Not at all plasticky a nice solid feel to it.

Installation was fairly simple using the template back plate and screws provided ( I attached mine to a wooden fence post).

I didn’t need to use the power cable but used pre-installed cable from the camera and plugged it into a 12 volt connector I already had in a weather proof box in the garden.

Once switched on and added to the Clouded App (which was a straight forward process using QR code after adding it to my wifi) , image quality was excellent really crisp clear detailed images. Actually better than the previous Decko camera I tested. To be fair that was standard HD were this is 2k.

It also has a very wide field of view to cover a good wide area.

I tried the alarm siren and spot-lights ( you can alter the audio volume ). On the App on the previous camera I could use the light and the siren independently. Unless I missed something I couldn’t see the option to have one or the other or both.

If that is the case that is a bit of a shame as I’d prefer to have just the spot lights come on, not the siren too as I don’t think my neighbours would appreciate it!

The alarm siren was certainly plenty loud enough when I tested it.

The 2 lights spot lights are pretty bright but it only activated when I was within another 4 metres of the camera, not while I was in the normal motion detection range. They will only work at night.

I guess the idea is it will only activate if a person was approaching the building/door etc to prevent false activations.

When the spotlights are activated the footage is captured in full colour.

Night vision is good. It did suffer a little light refraction form the infrared from my other Cctv camera on the house (see picture) but nothing drastic and images were still very acceptable.

    The App

The App is called CloudEdge. Linking to app extremely easy using a QR code on my phone in front of the camera lens at which point you hear a cuckoo sound and it was ready.

The app responds quickly and is very easy to view footage and navigate between the various options on the main screen ( Live, History/ Record/ Intercom/PTZ/ Screen Shot/ Settings etc)

It sends notifications within a second of motion activation. It’s been very reliable in the respect .

I also like the fact that on a day when I was getting false activations (a windy day with washing blowing) or if someone is working in the garden etc setting off the motion detection the app senses it and it sends me a message asking if I want to mute notifications for an hour or the day. A neat idea.

I must say that the Pan/Tilt control is very quick and responsive hardly any delay when panning the lens in the app.

The calendar viewing automatically plays through the segments one after another on a given day without the need to scrub along the time line which was also a nice feature.

Another bonus for me is the camera is Onvif compatible (Open Network Video Interface Forum Protocol).

So it allows me to link the Cctv signal to my NVR (Network Video recorder) so I can review it on my Nvr app and record it on my hard drive as well as the MicroSd card in the camera. So a big thumbs up there..

    Summary

A really well built camera with excellent 2k HD images and wide field of view .

Overall I’m very chuffed with this camera and the Onvif compatibility is a real bonus from my perspective.

At the price (33.99 at the time of the review) it represents excellent value for money for the features and image quality.

I would definitely recommend it and would certainly have it on my short list.

Whilst I am yet to get up a ladder and install this to replace our front of house camera that recently failed, I have given it a good test around the home, to get it configured and see how easy it is to use. Fortunately we already have another CloudEdge compatible camera in our back garden, though that one is solar powered and fairly basic. But this did mean that I had the CloudEdge app already installed and configured on my phone, making installation of this new camera (from a technical point of view) very fast. It was literally a case of turning on the camera and telling the app to find it, it took less than a minute before it was up and running. The app detects what features the camera has, so in this case adds the audio and directional capabilities missing on the other camera.

Picture quality is very good, it picks up a lot of detail and the zoom function works reasonably. It’s a digital option so loses resolution as you enlarge, but the res is sufficient to handle this. There’s a lot of directional control available on the lens and whilst there is a little lag it is quite controllable.

I haven’t yet installed an SD card but will use the one from my old broken camera when I fit this. There’s just the one cable to deal with, the power lead, which has a connector towards the camera end, so should be simple enough to fit through the hole in the wall where the old cable runs.

The list price of 40 is decent enough, but a current Amazon voucher takes this down to 32, which is great value.

5.0 out of 5 stars Capable, easily controlled and great value

This security camera is great and I’m really pleased with its quality and performance. I found it very easy to set up and to install and it all linked up without any issues. The motion detection is very responsive and better than I expected. I really like that the picture quality is very crisp and clear both in the day and at night. I’ve not had any issues with this at all. The 2 way audio is handy to have and it works well from my phone. It’s a strong and sturdy bit of kit and I like that it’s durable enough to be outside in all weathers. I had to purchase separately an SD card for it but it was easy for me to pop that in and it works well. My mum also has access to view it which is helpful for when I’m away. I’ve not put the sound alarm as yet but it’s good to know it’s there if I need it. The app is easy to navigate and works well. I think for the features and how well it works the value for money is very good and I do recommend it. It does exactly what I need it to do without any fuss and is ideal for home security. I give it a thumbs up!

This outdoor security camera is ideal for deterring and catching potential intruders.

Setup is easy enough using the mounting plate, screws and wall plugs provided. It can then be plugged in and connected to your network via the app. The only downside is that you will need a suitable outdoor plug in range of WiFi, which may prove tricky for some.

Once setup, It has a 2k camera, which gives a nice clear picture during the day and also has night vision for 24/7 use.

There’s also motion tracking and motion detection, which triggers when movement is detected. You’re then able to get a notification on your phone to alert you.

You’re also able to insert an SD card for recording, which supports up to 128GB. This should be more than enough for local storage, otherwise, there’s the option of saving recordings to the cloud.

All in all, it’s a good outdoor security camera that works as expected and could be essential in protecting your home.

I hope you found this review helpful.

This camera is really good value as it’s easy to set up and has numerous features. I haven’t been able to test it fully outdoors as I haven’t been able to set it up where I want to use it. It needs a power source and I don’t have a socket nearby and the wifi signal is poor. It’s some distance from the router and there are thick stone walls which may be causing a problem.

I’ve tried it indoors and it has features I haven’t seen before, with motion tracking being impressive. If the camera senses a person, you can set it so that their movement will be tracked automatically. The build quality seems good and the camera is neat and feels robust. The App and set up was straightforward and the picture quality is very clear. There’s also two way audio, again a useful feature. It’s a decent camera and the price won’t break the bank.

This is a great piece of kit – my husband loves playing around with security cameras and he couldn’t wait to play around with this one, although its a bit more sophisticated than others he has had.

One real negative is that it doesn’t come with an SD card – and it doesn’t say this on the product description – that you need one or that one is not included.

It was reasonably easy to install – there are no wires, it runs on a re-chargable battery. You can mount it on the wall or ceiling, although being outside it needs to have some direct sunlight.

We are in between homes at the moment so its just been tested and used as a bit of a practice, but my husband cannot wait to install it in our new home next week.

He is really impressed with the picture quality, and so far its been really easy to use and is an impressive security device.

So far so good, just please either include an SD card, or add the requirements to the product description

7 day cloud storage is included, and it works alongside Alexa.

    Fantastic motion detecting security camera.

For the money the picture quality is amazing even in low light conditions. Pleasingly a psu and the usb cable are included, connections to your wifi are an absolute breeze with also the option of cloud storage for video footage (fitting a micro sd card of a decent size should negate this requirement)

Dead easy set up with the app insert a micro sd card and you are really ready for use.

The app allows picture zooming and different angles on the camera, recommended as a cheaper alternative home surveillance

A great household camera. Comes with all the fixtures and fittings, and a bracket for the camera. Connects directly to your mobile phone via an app and works through WiFi. As soon as it detects motion you get a notification with an image captured. Then you can watch the attached video should you wish.

This is not a wireless camera. It needs to be plugged into the wall. The size of the cable is okay but not grea

Purchasing security cameras is a bit of a lottery I am afraid. We have an Amazon Blink system covering our house, primarily as I wanted a remote system to monitor various aspects of our home and this was the simplest solution as it required no wiring.

This camera is somewhat different from our primary system and it is mains powered. In my opinion, mains powered cameras are better in many ways than those powered by battery simply because they offer more features. I would say, that in common with all cameras in this price bracket, the night vision is not that good, albeit better than that provided by our blink system and unless you have ultrafast broadband, there is a significant delay of several seconds between speaking and the eliciting a response. Out broadband is about average for the UK at 56k download/8k upload.

The camera is well made for the price of 42.99 as at 18th August 2022. Mainly manufactured from ABS plastic, it is claimed that it is waterproof, however, I would suggest that it would be better installed under the eaves of a house, or similar semi-sheltered spot. What I do like is that the camera can alter the view to obtain a different image, which could be useful and more importantly, via the app, you can direct the camera to follow an item which it identifies e.g. an intruder.. Whilst the view has a claimed viewing potential of 360 degrees, this is virtually impossible to utilise outside, particularly if installed in the eaves of a roof.

We have located ours on our summer house as the bottom of the garden. From this location, we have the necessary mains power to operate the lamp. Installation is relatively simple HOWEVER this camera is powered via a transformer which requires a 13 amp plug to power it. In our summer house we have power both internally and externally, but in order to position this camera in the right location, I had to purchase an extension cable, which cost me 5.95 for a 5 metre cable. Combine this with the need to purchase a micro sd card for storage (or the optional cloud based system) costing 14.99, the total cost for the camera and storage comes to over 60.00.

The recommended app is very simple install and to use and has a range of features as standard. Set up and pairing with our modem was relatively straight forward and again, in common with most of these system, the camera only operates on a 2.4 Ghz frequency. The images produced are pretty good in bright light, although they do deteriorate markedly at night but not as bad as the images collected from my Blink system; this is standard I am afraid and at this price point, I felt that the images were above average. I have tested it on an iPad, iPhone and an oppo Android phone and all work fine.

Overall then I have awarded this item 5 stars as I do think that it represents good value for money, however, you will need to purchase a micro sd card, you may need to purchase an extension cable and you must have access to a 3 pin 13amp socket.

This camera is easy to setup with the instructions however everything is self-explanatory. The camera can be controlled through the app where you will have a live view along with a 360-degree view. The camera is excellent for security since it can be mounted outdoors as it is waterproof. The camera is able to track a moving object and start recording on motion detection, so it works incredibly well. The quality of the footage it records is excellent and even the live feed is high resolution enough to make out small details. The app also allows you to zoom in up to four times the resolution. The camera is also able to retain its high quality at night with its night vision modes its got a full colour mode and a infrared view and a auto mode which can switch between the two. The camera can be used to have a two-way audio conversation since it has a microphone and a speaker. Overall, I would definitely recommend its an excellent security camera in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect security camera 360 rotation and has a live feed

This is a reasonably priced WiFi camera that works rather well. It is not perfect but does a very good job.
Setup was easy enough, no problems at all

It has good day time image and decent night viewing as the IR and led lights work well. The adjustable viewing angles are great and works nicely from the controls in the app.

One thing that I usually see in most cameras/apps is the ability to send notification to email, it is missing from this. Usually i would send the notification emails to my partner and just stick with the app for myself.

The option to record motion or 24/7 video to a local memory card is great if you don’t want the ongoing costs of cloud storage. I will also be looking into using its onvif ability to enable recording to my Windows 10 pc, just need to find suitable software.

Motion detection work reasonably well, could always be quicker but no worse than other cameras I have used. This camera is definitely worth considering as it is not expensive and has good features that work well.

This is a pretty good outdoor camera which requires a constant USB power connection but works over Wi-Fi.

You need to install the CloudEdge app to set the camera up, but it’s all easy to follow and no technical knowledge is needed. Once you power it up (lead and USB supply are included) it’s ready to be added to your network.

Fitting is easy on the supplied bracket and it copes well with direct sunlight on it. Picture is clear at night as well, although the infra-red gives further range than the white LEDs that you can set to come on with movement for colour pictures. It picks up Wi-Fi from a long way, over 50ft through a couple of walls, so quite impressive.

Requires a micro-SD card to record locally, otherwise you’ll need to buy the cloud storage subscription. A 16GB card is enough to store loads of short clips, but if you’re expecting it to be triggered a lot of times throughout the day, you can use up to 128GB.

No problems so far. Tracks objects pretty well, nice clear picture you can read car number plates around 50ft away as well.

This is better than I expected for the price. The picture quality is surprisingly good and so is the night view. I use this indoors as I have security cameras outside and it works along side like a charm. Easy to download the app and set up, just need a memory card, and away you go. Really good
