This drone is absolute class, top of the ranger consumer drone, a beginner can use it for the first time (i did) you basically get what you pay for, the only gripe i have, is battery life, although its top of the range in battery performance Vs other drones, realistically you’re only getting about 30 minutes out of it. And replacement batteries are expensive, i would still recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis really is a flagship product. Oozes quality! Completely different to the smaller DJI drones which ae themselves great. This thing is next level. I look forward to using it… alot.

It has now been nearly a month since I bought this. In spite of the dreadful weather have found a few odd moments to fly it. What amazes me the most is the capabilities of the Mavic 3 have improved substantially since I bought it. Terrific firmware updates have given the drone far more than I hoped for. It’s very very powerful. As an A2COFC flyer living on the coast, it’s the ideal machine. It handles the winds, and even though the CAA appear to be putting out spoilers to the industry in the UK, serious business photography with it is still viable. Fantastic Drone.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersso be aware when buying these drones from amazon, they will not show up in your device manager as they should on the dji fly app.
buy direct from dji and they do show up, so what is going on here?

The best drone there is for the consumer market. It’s got amazing features now after the firmware update. It’s easy to learn and use and it’s quite quiet given its size.

The video footage and photographs are amazing. You definitely get what you pay for!

Golden Review Award: 25 From Our UsersI have been meaning to upgrade my drone for a while, and decided to take the plunge and get the Mavic 3. What held me back was the initial problems it has with GPS and a few other things. There have been 3 updates recently which have solved all of the problems, and now I am over the moon with i

Unfortunately there is no way of me explaining to someone direct at Amazon, I have to do this via review, but a propeller was damaged when I received this item, other than that it’s perfect.

Golden Review Award: 37 From Our UsersThis is an amazing drone like many people say it is, yes it has its down side but with firmware updates these should be fixed. A word of caution though unless you hold your flyers ID and the CAA A2CofC this drone basically CANNOT be flown within 150m of any areas used for residential, recreational, industrial and commercial purposes and 50m away from uninvolved people which basically means you need to find a massive open area clear of people and not close to any buildings. if you have your A2 CofC there are still restrictions just not as strict. this could all of course change on 1st Jan 2023 when the transition period finishes (apparently). If your having a bit of fun and dont want to go through the process of doing the A2CofC stick with a drone under 250g. More or less no restrictions apart from max flight altitude, flying over assemblies of people and obtaining an UAS operators ID. I hope this helps

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersIt is quite expensive but worth every penny.
    I can’t fault it.
The only thing I would change is the controller, so instead of using your phone you have built in display,
also quite expensive but I am considering buying it now I know the drone is so good.

With having the new camera and a bigger sensor low light photography becomes a whole lot better a really fantastic quality piece off gear.

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersLove this drone but I would struggle to say that this is a beginners drone. Huge amount of fun. Amazing video and photos. The introduction videos that DJI guide you towards are good, but, really fail to do anything other than introduce you to the drone. In depth help is not really available through their help systems, can be found by those that have published either Youtube videos or forum answers, which helps, but DJI should be the providers of in depth answers in particular, for the Fly app.
Do I regret owning it? No, this drone is amazing and is persuading me that I maybe need to move up…..

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersWith the most recent firmware update, this drone finally became the drone it should have been on release. DJI, in order to catch the Christmas sales, released it half baked.

However, it is a cracking drone now, except one problems remains. At the time of writing, this drone will take 3-7 minutes to acquire satellites before it can take off, on the first flight of the day. This wait drains the battery anywhere up to 4%.
That can be a game changer.

Currently, my Air 2s is less than a minute to acquire at the same location.

This problem is all over the Internet and YouTube.

When it changes, I will update this review to a 5 star.

DJI have been treating customers with contempt with this drone. Before you buy, make sure you ask DJI when then they intend fixing this issue. Otherwise, it may drive you mad.

Edit: A whole plethora of problems have been fixed by DJI and a bunch of new features added. 5 star, I would give it 6 if I could.
This drone is best in class

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersThis has to be by far the best quality drone that I have ever used in terms of picture quality, build quality, easy of flying and stability.
The pictures and videos that you get from this are cinematic. The inbuilt storage is large enough to take high res video for a decent time. Also the battery last way lo get than I expected it to especially with high intensity flying and recording.
The best part I would say is how easy it is to fly even for beginners. Its following feature is amazing. I took it out this weekend for mountain biking and it was able to follow me near perfectly even through trees. Its object avoidance is also second to none. The only negative is how expensive it is but tbh it is kind of worth it for what you see getting and DJI has many more affordable drones with slightly less features.

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersThe Mavic 3 is I think a bit overpriced and is still a “work in progress” although a recent release of the Fly app (1.5.4) has added a lot of the promised features that were missing at product launch. A further release is due in January which should complete the suite of features.
The drone is quite remarkable- very stable & controllable, high quality main camera plus telephoto zoom second camera plus obstacle avoidance. The most impressive aspects in addition to the superb camera quality are the 45 minutes battery life and the up to x28 times zoom.

    Mavic 3 quality drone
