Most excellent heater ,beats my other oil filled one by leaps and bounds and other past ordinary convector ones and fan ones, it will save a great deal of money i think. Whole room is comfortable now i just bought the smaller grey model now as this 2500 is very unexpectedly beyond this rooms needs , this one will heat the hallway,up the stairs, take chill off landing ,bathroom at stairs top and to a degree off the front and smaller back bedroom when is very cold. Couldn’t be happier with i

I bought this for a friend who moved into a new apartment. She really likes how quickly it warms up her room!

After having to wait over three weeks for the heater to be delivered, I wasn’t initially too impressed with the plastic construction of this after unboxing. Compared to brands like Dimplex (for example) this just seems cheaper.
However I have been very impressed with how it heats up a sizeable room. It doesn’t have a fan which I found unusual (having being used to convector heaters having fans) yet certainly radiates a very strong and even warmth throughout the room. The upside of this is also that the operation of the heater is entirely silent, there is no noise at all.
The company does advertise that it heats up within 1 minute which I can attest to, and after a while the whole room becomes evenly heated.
Unlike radiators which tend to heat the area directly in front of it and the heat tapers off the further away from the unit one gets, this heater provides a a fantastic even heat for the entire space that it’s put in.
I’ve tried it in two different rooms, one being 16m2 and the other being 24m2 and it heats both without any issues.
I’ve been using it at its highest heat setting of 2500w so am under no illusion that with the current price of electricity here (I’m based in Dublin currently) that it’s not going to be the cheapest thing to have running, yet to be fair it does a vastly superior job to both the Dimplex ceramic fan heater I have and other oil filled ones which use marginally less power at 2400w. The great thing is that I can have this on for a couple of hours and the room is lovely and warm without being sweltering, and then I can turn it off as the room retains it heat for some time.
I’m still not sold on the quality of the manufacturing, so time will tell whether it’s durable or not, yet in terms of functioning as per deign I cannot fault this heater, it does an exceptional job. I’ve also seen that it now is 20% off so if you’re looking for a solid space heater for a good price I’d recommend it.

Only had this product a couple days. My flat gets cold in the winter and stuffy in the summer. Absolutely love this so far. Went from 10 degrees to 18 within 20 mins of use. I’ve used it conjunction with a dehumidifier to dry clothes and works twice as fast with the dehumidifier alone. Not sure yet on the energy efficiency just yet, will update when I can. Really recommend

Bought this after seeing a relative use one. It warms the room quickly and maintains the heat well. Having two heat settings makes it great for either warming up a room from cold, or maintaining a steady temperature using the lower setting. It comes with a very useful remote control. Recommended

A very effective heater, warmed up our lounge within half an hour, had to switch it off!
We heat the room we’re in, so no need to use the GCH.
    Highly recommended.
    A brilliant heater.

Within one day of my wonderful heater arriving I have ordered a second identical one! Need I say more?
I had two oil filled electric heaters but decided to try the mica economical one. My gas central heating boiler has died and the rest of the system is old and needs attention, so with the cost of gas as well, I decided to try to heat just the rooms I use with economical heaters. I shall let you know how the electricity consumption works out, but today it heated up very fast and I was warm for the first time since Summer! I feel quite different! My hands are no longe freezing and I don’t have such a cold nose any more. Before it would give me headaches!
The heater smelled new for about an hour after turning on but that was no problem. Putting the wheels and base on was easy even with my arthritic hands. Compared with my smaller oil filled heater, this Duronic HV 102 is very lightweight and easy to move around. It’s not bad looking and fits nicely into the background, it is quite a nice shape and not lumpy or obtrusive. I shall be moving it onto the hearth once my room is finished decorating. At the moment it is next to my chair and I am very toasty!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFirstly, I purchased mine for 80, it was used – good condition.
It didn’t come in its original packaging which was expected, but the item itself was in mint condition.
I’m kind of glad I didn’t pay full price for the item, it feels really cheaply made and I don’t fully understand why it has a price tag of over 130.
I plugged it in and set the desired temperature to 18 degrees. Our living room took about 20 minutes to go from 14 degrees up to 18. That is pretty fast considering we live in an old house with high ceilings and rubbish windows. I only left it on the 1.5kw mode too. Didn’t need to use the 2.5kw mode. I tried the 2.5kw mode just to test it, and wow. This thing packs a punch on its highest mode. I could see the heat coming out of it when I looked at my TV (screen went blury).

The unit does need a lot of space, it’s quite big if you don’t have a big space for it, I advise you get a tape measure out and just check how big this unit would actually be.

Economy wise, if your house is well insulated, the unit will work less, so it’s obviously going to cost less to run. As I’ve said, my house is old and draughty, so using this costs us about 3 for around 10 hours of usage set at 18 degrees. (33p per kw).

The unit gets really hot from the top vent, too hot to touch when using 2.5kw mode. The sides do not get hot.

Also, it does not remember the settings, so when you unplug it, you need to reset the temp values to your liking. This is a bit annoying, especially considering the cost. The remote is cheaply made, but does its job.

I will consider buying another one for my landing, I’m guessing that this heater will actually heat all 3 bedrooms aswell as my landing.

Conclusion: definitely better than my 2kw ceramic fan heater, especially in bigger rooms. Works out at cheaper to run due to the great heat output. Price tag is a bit high if I’m honest and I’m still undecided as to if this is worth the money or not.

I turned on this heater and NOTHING, 30 seconds later and NOT only could you feel the heat BUT you could also feel the warmth, 8 minutes later and I had gone from 12 degrees to 19 degrees in a very cold 3 bedroom flat to a warm and cosy flat , so the all important question is do I think that this is a good heater , then my answer is a simple NO , this is an AMAZING heater if you think that it is expensive then think again , this heater is an essential item for anyone who is cold and would like some heat and pretty much instant heat , I brought this heater after a recommendation from the Telegraph newspaper, I WAS NOT and AM NOT disappointed with that recommendation, this heater deserves a higher rating than a FIVE

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhen the heater arrived it had a small dent to the plastic on the top, but hardly noticeable.
Works great, light, manoeuvrable, easy to store. Heats up very quick. Easy control with a remote.
I’ve got some oil filled radiators and they are not a patch on this..we’ll worth getting if you need one in the cold coming months.suitable for an average size room. Better than heating a whole house!
    I would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWow, a heater that just doesn’t give out a orange glow and expect you to pretend to be warm. Plugged this in expecting the same little bit of heat to come out as usual but to my surprise it got hot , the more I turned it up the hotter it got . Heat coming from both sides but not how you would expect. It was hot air . Not like normal electric fires were if you put them too close to something it bursts into flames. The air was hot . I would not recommend you put it close to any thing but it is a hell of a lot safer then most I have tried.
It has wheels on the back which makes moving so easy. It has different settings.
From low, to high. It has a comfortable setting which sets your room on a comfortable temperature. It goes of when reached and come back on when the temperature cools down. That saves some money in this day and age . I have left it on in a bedroom over night and I have noticed the difference in the morning. It really is not bad for the size of it . It’s not small but with the wheels can easily be moved to wherever you want to put it .
One downside is the lead is not that big .
Could do with a bigger lead as we all don’t have plug sockets on every wall. Overall though I would give it a 10 out of 10.

I have a garden cabin and wanted something I don’t have to turn on 2hrs before I want to use the room, but rather something that works hard and fast, even if that means from a pure cost-per-hour perspective it’s not so efficient.

This thing heats the room up about 1.5 in 5 minutes, so a 15 minute blast in the morning really makes a difference.

It really needs a longer power cable though. You can’t use an extension cable with it so it has to be connected directly to the wall socket, and 1.5m cable really doesn’t leave just room to position it. But it’s light and easy to move away whenever you need it.

Arrived on time and was well packaged. Fitted the feet and wheels in a flash. Just what I needed to warm my large room as my central heating has a small leak (old house) and this will be my back-up in fact maybe my main heater as I’m having real problems getting a plumber…!
Logical to use with a digital thermostat and also a counting-down hour timer. I will also use the unit with a wi-fi plug so I can set on/off times and control when I’m away from home / arrive to a warm house etc.
The unit isnt heavy at all and the remote control on this model is handy too.
Very happy – a nice unit that so far is working very well for my needs.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI ordered this to replace an old convector heater which doesn’t throw out much warmth and I don’t think it’s energy efficient. It’s over 10 years old and technology has changed a great deal.

This heater is larger, but it’s well designed and I can still place it in the same space used by my previous heater. I like the colour and design and best of all, it’s really simple to use and easy to move. It seems very well made and I’m pleased with the UK credentials if the company. I feel confident of quality and support if required. It arrives with the feet separately packed, but it took only a couple of minutes to fit both. It’s well designed in that one set incorporates wheels so if you want to move it, you just lift with the hand insert at one end and pull it into place. Very useful if, like me, you have arthritis and can’t always manage to carry and lift.

This heater throws out warm air and the panels also heat up so it radiates heat as well. I know it’s not the most efficient way to provide heat, but I don’t have a boiler and sometimes have to wait until my solid fuel burner has heated water for radiators. This heater is ideal to give instant heat if I need it and where I need it. It’s also good for days when I don’t need heat everywhere, but want a bit more warmth in the evening in the sitting room. It heats in under a minute and there are controls for temperature and time. It cuts out once the selected temp is reached or it can be set to operate for a time, then go off. I don’t know how much it costs to run, but I watched the wheel on the meter whilst it was working full on and it was going round more slowly than my older heater, but producing more warmth. I’m really pleased with it and very happy to recommend.

I have bought 3 of these and strangely enough the least used and last purchased of the 3 has gone faulty.. As it was still in warranty, i contacted the company and was told to return it but i would have to cover the cost. I was not happy about this and became less happy when trying to send it back only to discover that most carriers will not carry domestic appliances. Something i am sure they knew.
Apart from that the heaters work well.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI’ve had the HV102 for 7 years and its been turned on pretty much 24/7, the other day we had a power cut and it wouldn’t turn back on again. It’s a shame because it probably would have gone on for much longer if not for that. I’ve ordered the HV101 as a replacement, as far as I know, its the same, but without the digital controls and timer, which I don’t really need.

A few downsides I found with the HV102, which I suspect is similar in the HV101, is that the thermostat is a bit inaccurate, sometimes I had to turn it way up just to get it to start heating, also the plastic grille on the top started crumbling away, I guess the heat dried it out, and lastly you can’t put it flat against the wall because heat comes out of both sides.

Other than that though the heat coming from it doesn’t dry out the air, and it heats up very fast. It’s also quiet, and lightweight should you wish to move it around.

Another reason why I went for the HV101 instead of the HV102 is because if I want to, I can get a thermostat plug socket and use that to control the heat instead of relying on the built in thermostat.

I have seen some people having problems with melting plugs, this is most likely not an issue with the heater. 2500W is a lot of energy (around 11 amps), and some plug sockets probably aren’t designed to carry that amount of constant current. What happens when you put too high of a current through too thin of a wire, or contact, is that it gets very hot. This is kind of how fuses work, they’re designed so that the wire inside melts at the point where the current gets too high. So what is happening is the plug socket itself is getting hot and the heat is going into the plug. So my advice is, make sure you plug this or any other high powered equipment into a socket that can handle a continuous 13 amps, and everything should be fine.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAn excellent heater, far better than any heater I’ve owned. When you turn it on, instant heat, no waiting for it to warm up.
And it heats up a decent sized room very quickly.
In a few other reviews, it has been mentioned that the plug gets VERY hot in use.
    It does.
To combat this, don’t have this heater on the highest setting for more than 30 minutes, and you’ll be ok.
I made the mistake of plugging this into an extension cord (against the advice of some of the other reviews) and this heater stopped working momentarily for around 10 minutes.
So left it, then turned it back on, and it’s now working.
    My only major critisms are:
    1) The power cord is way too short.
    2) The display panel is on the same side as the power cord, so depending on where your sockets are located, there’s a good chance you won’t be able to see the display from where you are sitting.

These minor gripes aside, a very good buy, at a reasonable price.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought one of these to heat a garden office, initially it was to be a temporary solution with the intention of fitting infrared panels but the Duronic HV102 has performed superbly well.
The Micathermic panels work very quickly and yet are pretty cool to the touch. Switching the unit one gives two power output settings 1.5kW and 2.5kW. I’d recommend choosing 2.5kW in areas to be heated that have decent amounts of insulation. My garden office has 10cm insulation all round and I’m amazed at the power cycle time once up to temperature. As is fairly standard the thermostat gets to temperature then switches off before dropping 2 degrees c and turning back on. During a recent quick test the 2 degree heating took 7 mins and then took 42 mins to drop back down and switch on again. Some clever mathematician will have worked out power consumption and cost based on this but it seems pretty darned impressive to me particularly as it was 3 degrees outside and I was basking at 18 degrees inside.
Another reviewer said that they’d be concerned about standing anything next to this heater, personally I’d be careful about putting anything close by to ANY heater but I would say that if anything I’m way less concerned by this micathermic heater than almost any other heat source since it feels so cool and heats objects in the distance.
As another safety measure it has a tip over cutoff and I believe turns itself off after 12 hours of continuous use by which I believe it means it hasn’t reached its temperature setting.
I currently have the heater permanently ticking over keeping the garden office from freezing whilst not in use and it has maintained 10 degrees c for the last couple of weeks with no issues.
A couple of quibbles; the power cord could have been longer, ideally you want this in the middle of the room for heating space, I’m unable to do this with the cord length provided, also the display would’ve been better on the other end as it’s facing the wall. It comes in two models, with or without a remote, I bought it with but due to the display positioning never use it as you can’t actually see what you’re setting without going round the other side of the heater to see.
Overall though this is a fantastic heater mainly for heating up well insulated areas, I’m a bit baffled by people using them in conservatories as you’ll be heating the glass and frame and the outside world will be taking it straight away.
For the right requirements this is ideal and very economical.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersAs my title says, this is a SUPERB Heater.

Amazon delivered my heater 24 hours after ordering it!! Amazing! Thank you MUST go to Amazon for the superfast delivery.

I unpacked the heater, slid the footrest and wheels onto the heater base in one minute, put the batteries in the Remote Control and hey presto!, it was ready for use.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Remote Control is tucked into a slot in one of the white polystyrene packing blocks – so don’t throw the packing away until you’ve recovered the Remote Control Device!!

I tried it out in my quite large kitchen. Switched it on using the remote and the temperature displayed is the current room temperature. Mine read 22. I used the remote and upped the temperature to the full setting to see how quick the heater would make the kitchen HOT – hotter than I wanted. In half an hour, the temp reading was 25 and in an hour it was 28 – very impressive!!

I’ve got to sort out of loads of stuff in my COLD Garage, so my first use of this beauty will be in there – to keep me warm and encourage me to do this dreaded job. Thereafter, I will use this heater ANYWHERE I need some nice heat.

This heater is sooooo lightweight, it is a doddle to move it around to any room…..I’ll have no trouble carrying it upstairs. I just cannot believe a device this light gives out so much heat!! My friend’s oil filled heater weighs a ton. Care will need to be taken not to dent or damage the “mesh” sides of the heater though, as they’re substantial, but not that thick.

For me, this heater is to warm individual rooms, as needed. Yes, Central Heating is nice to give a background heat throughout your property, but you are paying a LOT of money on electric and gas costs to heat an ENTIRE house, while sitting in just ONE room!! Even in the summer in the UK, you can get “chilly” evenings. I’ve got a beautiful electric log burner stove in my main sitting room, to just pop-on when needed. I have bought this Duronic heater to use ANYWHERE I need instant heat (chilly bedroom?). Would be GREAT for a cold Conservatory, Garage, Workroom, Man Cave……well….ANY ROOM!!

    ANY IMPROVEMENTS? YES:

    – Longer Cable……it is REALLY short. It should not drape near to the heater.
    – Power Cable should be located on the BACK of the heater, NOT the front!
    – Cable holding brackets should obviously also be on the REAR panel, with Remote Holder Slot above.
    – FOUR Wheels would be better, instead of Two, still providing the pulling handle though.
    – SLOT on the back panel of the heater to house the Remote Control (it’s a very small Remote).
    – Ability on Remote to “Programme” the Heater with THREE “On and Off” times.
    – Heater should “remember” your last-used setting….it does not.

Take care!!……You can’t stand this fire against a wall……it needs its own standing space as it emits heat from both sides!!

A GREAT purchase. For this price you get a great, efficient, lightweight, stylish heater that you can use absolutely ANYWHERE. I’ll definitely buy another of these if I need more electric heaters.

    Are you asleep yet? Lol.

Thank you so much Duronic AND Amazon. One of my VERY BEST purchases.

Golden Review Award: 24 From Our UsersAfter hours and hours of research on the internet I decided to try a Mica heater as these not only warm the air but also warm objects and people so therefore are something in between a radiant halogen heater and fan heater or oil radiator. I bought this heater specifically for my conservatory which has no insulation or heating source and is freezing and cold and damp all the time. I chose the 2.5 kW model with the remote and it is absolutely amazing I cannot recommend it enough. The heater gets hot within seconds and it can bring the temperature from 8 degrees up to 20 degrees in about 10 to 15 minutes. When you switch it on the digital display shows the current room temperature and obviously increases as the room temperature gets warmer. I previously used a calor gas heater which is efficient but not safe to leave on when unattended. Also gas heater takes up a lot of space in my small conservatory. The Mica heater does not take up half as much space as the gas heater did also it gets hot quickly but it keeps the room hot so once I get to 23 degrees I switch it from high to low and and it keeps it nice and toasty. I’ve had it on for 24-hours day for the last week without any issues and I have to say I’m extremely impressed. It also acts as a dehumidifier and there is no damp or condensation whatsoever in my conservatory it’s much drier and warmer than it’s ever been – Mica heaters are the way forward. You will not be disappointed

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe, efficient and heats up a room very quickly!!

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersPurchased this to replace a busted storage heater to get me through winter. When you first get it, you will need to flip the on switch on the bottom of the side panel manually. Then press the digital on switch at the front and set your desired temperature. The ability to do this by remote is a god send on a Saturday/Sunday morning when it’s too cold to get out of bed.

One caveat I found the hard way, is that the heater does not store your selected temperature when powering off or there is a powercut. The power had gone off and when I turned the heater back on, it had defaulted back to 26C. I had used 8 of electric in half a day before I realised what was happening. Once the heater reaches the desired room temperature, it turns the heating off making it very economical. On a full days use, it averages about 2 a day to heat the room on my Economy 7 tarrif.

Overall, I’m quite happy with the purchase and at this price, it’s a bit of a steal.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHi, I just bought 3 of these heaters as the reviews were more then good. I thought I would give you an update that might answere some questions when and if you are looking to buy. I live in a 2 bed bungalow, and we have a medium sized annex outside. The cost of gas heating has gone through the roof so I no longer use it. I have 1 heater in the lounge ( medium size room) and one in the hall that has bathroom,2 bedrooms and kitchen that lead off it. From about 6pm I turn the heaters onto the highest setting and after about 30 minutes in the lounge I have to turn it down the 1.5 on comfort. The room is very snug all evening. The hall is warm but only just. You don’t get a blast of heat if you come in from the cold on either setting on the heater. That said,it does take the chill out of the air. The annex is 17″ by 10″. The heater goes on the low setting on comfort and it is perfect. Lovely and warm. Right the running cost. Just to help,I am on a key meter. For all electric items, the norm in most houses,3 televisions, kitchen goods, modem, and lights works out at around 5 a day at the moment,35 a week. This may increase to appx 50 a week as the weather gets colder. So the total running cost of electric for my home is 200 a month. I believe that is no more then most. There are no issues with the heaters. A smell does come from them on first use but as mentioned in other reviews that does go after 10 minutes. The delivery was quick and packaging very good. All in all,if your looking for something to heat any reasonable sized room then this is for you. Does what it says on the packet ( makes a change lol) Thank you Duronic and Amazon of course.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis heater does what it’s supposed to: within 5 minutes (or 10 minutes for the 1 kW model/mode) it heats an averaged sized room from chilly to warm, even without a fan. It’s hot within seconds and utterly silent, no fans or creaks. It’s fairly sturdily built, although mine had a mis-moulded plastic foot that means it wobbled very annoyingly until I built it up with some black tape.

Let’s cut to the chase though: most people reading this will be trying to decide whether to get one of these, or an oil filled heater, and wondering which will save them more money. The answer is: it depends on how you’re going to be heating your home. Neither is more expensive than the other in keeping a room warm all day long.

If you want to keep a room warm all day long, then my advice is to go for an oil-filled instead: they’re a little safer and stay warm much longer. They use more electricty getting themselves warmed up, but after that much less. For example you can use off-peak energy to warm them up in the morning and they’ll stay warm without using much on-peak. They will also never smell of scorched dust if you haven’t had them on for a while. (For draughty areas, consider a radiative heater.)

If, on the other hand, you want to heat up the home quickly before you leave in the morning or when you just get back, then get one of these. They’ll use less electricity to get the place warm to begin with because they don’t have to warm up litres of oil, and won’t waste that heat you built up keeping the house warm when you’re not in. I got one of these because my electricity is expensive, and my house is empty for 10 hours at a time. An oil heater would result in wasted money in my case, but not everyone’s. And fan heaters drive me crazy with their noise.

In my case, I was really disappointed with the timer on this model, because I thought it was an all-day timer that I could set to warm the place 10 min before I got out of bed, and turn off before I went to work. Unfortunately it’s a COUNTDOWN TIMER, which will set it to turn OFF after a set time, not ON. Doubly unfortunately, I can’t even use a timer plug, since turning it on always defaults in standby mode, and you have to turn it on manually. Sigh. This is safe, but frankly not very useful. DO NOT BUY A TIMER PLUG TO USE WITH THIS, whatever Amazon offers you!

Still, the thermostat works pretty well, so I can set it and forget it when I’m at home, and it’ll only turn on when it needs to, only for short periods. It doesn’t dry the air, warms quickly, and cools very quickly. In that sense it’s very efficient.

Given the wobbly stand foot and its fairly useless timer I grudgingly have to take off a star, but it’s pretty good value for money and extremely efficient. Much faster than oil, but still not for everyone.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery easy to use, works exactly as described and as you’d imagine. Running costs are equal to sustaining any small/medium sized space to a particular temperature of anything from 18 to 28 degrees.

    Features
Display is in Celsius only. It’s very lightweight and has a pull / push handle as one end has two castors on – very easy to move. Timer function is setting how many hours you want it to run for – and useful if basic function. LED panel and overall looks are quite modern in my opinion. Heats the air directly to the large sides and directly above. Once desired temperature is reached the heater stops heating for a few minutes, then kicks back in to keep the temperature at around what you set it to. If on heat setting 1 it seems to keep it within 2 or 3 degrees, but setting 2 seems to keep it spot on or at least as warm as what you set it to.

My current premises has very, very little insulation. No double glazing, very old, I’m the only tenant etc. The heating is modern, new electric storage heaters. To keep barely warm, each room and the two hall storage heaters need to be on full input – costing 130 – 160 a month! When living by myself I have all off apart from the living room and bathroom storage heaters. I use this to top up when it’s really cold in the living room / guests and briefly in bedroom. Electric under-blanket heater too. Keeps the bills a lot lower, about half as much. (On economy7).

I’d recommend it – super fast to heat up. Whole room is toasty within 5 minutes, but you can feel the difference in seconds. Great as a top up heater or main heater for brief periods / vs multiple alternative heaters.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDuring the cold months of …. well, most months in the UK. We needed a heater to save us from heating the entire house using hte central heating system. This is where the Duronic comes in…

We purchased this as we just wanted to heat one room, as we have an open plan room with the kitchen and this is usually where our guests spend most of their time. This was ideal. Place it in the middle of the room to one side so you don’t trip over it, and leave it running for 20 minutes. Once the room is warmed up just turn it off.

As this is an (almost) instant on, you get max temperature output within 60 seconds. Which means it starts heating pretty much right away. It sends heath out from both side and also the top. Very effective at warming up a small room. Keep the door closed and the room will be warm in a few minutes. Larger rooms (obviously) take a little longer.

This seems to be pretty cheap to run, or so we think. As our bill has not been that much higher since purchasing it. So all in all a great product.

The only problem i have is that the feet (not the roller) seem to fall off, they do not connect properly. Maybe it was just a fault on mine which they do not click into place. Otherwise, it has a good quality feel to it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this to heat up our conservatory as it is quite big but poorly insulated. We have just moved into the property and it already has a working radiator which I thought was a great idea however, it doesn’t seem to effect how cold it gets.

I bought this item on the strenght of the reviews and it’s reasonable price (my partner wanted a dyson heater but I wasn’t going to spend that much!). And I am pleased I did. It has a temp reading and you can set it to reach a specific temp. It took about 20 minutes on the low setting to heat the room from 12c to a fairly conformatable 17c. The idea is that the conservatory is our dining room so I only want the heater on for a short period while we eat in it. I am still experimenting with it and as yet have not tested the higher setting which I am sure will perform even better.

The remote is great as it means I can switch it on from the warmth of our kitchen through the window.

My only concern is the fact that you can’t plug it into a socket located above it as it eminates heat out the top. As we have just had a complete re-wire our sockets are high up which is a slight nuisance.

To start with, in my part of the UK we had recently had just over 10 inches of snow, most of the roads were off limits and unusable, I ordered the fire on the 21st January approx 16,30 in the afternoon, thinking that in a week or two we would have an extra source of heat for any emergency events, as due to the weather and high winds we had already had the gas central heating pilot going off despite a recent annual service.
So after reading the reviews a order was placed for the heater. It arrived in the afternoon on the 23rd January.. amazing service under the current road conditions, and a very cheerful delivery man remarked “We don’t hang about you know , we aim to please.” what a excellent service.
Now the living room is 24 foot by 15ft , so not a little cosy room by any standards, but after getting up in the early hours the next morning , I thought I would turn the central heating boiler off and test the heater.
In less than 10 minutes it had brought the temp up from 19c to 23c in total silence ! I think that this is amazing for one heater.as I had already thought about a second one if it turned out to be as good as the reviews stated..
So I would recommend this to anyone who is having doubts as a priority device to add to your shopping list for heating. I am not sure if a few would workout cost efficient to run as the sole source of heating, that is going to be my next test to compare it to the central heating costs, as energy prices appear to be increasing everywhere at a alarming rate.
I would like to hear from anyone who has compared costs ?
5 stars for the company and the device. (so far )

I bought this for my son’s loft room which becomes very cold very quickly despite the central heating radiator. I did a lot of research before buying this product and am very pleased with the look and all the specifications, apart from as one customer notes, that the timer only has basic setting control, however using the temperature control instead, compensates well for this. I have given it 4 stars as it is important to not place it directly up against the wall due to the sides being meshed and ‘open’ to allow quick heating, but this was not explained in the product notes. This means that it also needs to be placed a good distance (can’t remember how far) away from any object(s), for safety reasons and to allow the hot air to circulate, certainly I think an important consideration to think about before buying, depending how much space you have in your room. Once we realised, my son has it end on to the wall and this seems fine. Overall, I am very pleased and think this is an excellent product. I would highly recommend it, as long as you can ensure you have some space available around it so that it can operate efficiently and safely.

Golden Review Award: 43 From Our UsersI Live in a large room which have high ceiling, and there is no wall mounted heater.. Therefore I had to get one of these heaters.. I have looked at Halogen heaters , convection heaters , fan heaters , oil filled and oil free radiators. And finally I decided to buy HV102 due to its price slightly cheaper than the rest of its brothers.. and its also looks very stylish and having a lot better features , such as; remote control , timer , and thermostat.

I have ordered it yesterday around 3 pm and It has arrived today around 12 pm with standard delivery , less than 24 hours! The product was well packaged and there were no faults at all..

When You first open the box you will see the wheels and the opposite side base, they are so easy to plug in and plug out and requires no screws!

There were no batteries sent for the remote control. but its not a big deal.. I already had some spare batteries 🙂

When I switched it on It get the maximum hotness around 40 seconds! There were no existing noise!

I have tasted it in my large high ciling living room which having a large kitchen inside.. the rooms temperature was 19 Celsius degrees before the heating started.. I switched the heater on and I set the thermostat to 28 degrees..

It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to room heat gets to 28 degrees. And it switched of and remain of until room degrees fall down to 26 . and it started it self again until to reach 28. Basically if you set the thermostat lets say 30 degrees , when the room temparature reach 30 degrees , the heater stops heating untill the room temparature get lower 2 degrees than the chosen degree. so if you select 30 , its going to remain switched of untill the degree falls 28 , than it will start again and it will heat untill the heat gets again 30 degrees. And it will always going to circulate this action untill you switched it of. Or if you selected a switching of time . so if you select the time 1 hr its going to switch itself of after 1 hour. you can select between 1hr-18hr.

The product its really efficient , easy to use and stylish and has a remote control! which most of the radiators havent! But the most important its healty, does not dry the air!

I really liked it , and I thought that was an intelligent purchase!

The only down side I can tell, even though if its on full power It doesn’t feel its extremely hot. Of course its still really hot and heat the room so well. But you can still touch the heater and keep your hand for a while even when its working on full power. But that is still don’t effects its efficiency of heating the room. My old oil filled radior was heating a smaller room around 1 hour and 20 mins! This one cn heat the large room with a kitchen , and it gets hot less than one minute! Oil filled ones takes 10 to 12 minutes to get hot!

    It deserves 4 stars!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have had the heater for a few months now and it has settled down and works pretty much as I expected. Being able to set the thermostat is very useful. I work mostly from home and I use it to heat my home office. There does seem to be a long gap between it cutting out when the temperature is reached and coming back on again. I assume this is to save the unit heating and and cooling down too often which would possibly shorten its life.

The one complaint I have is how long it takes to settle from new. This is in regard to the smell it gives off, which has been mentioned before. I could not use it in a confined space at first because it actually made my chest feel uncomfortable. I would not recommend this to anyone with Asthma or breathing issues. I put it in a spare room and ran it for a few hours several times a day. It took a couple of weeks before I felt comfortable using it in my home office. This was probably overkill but I wanted to be sure.

Now it has settled it works very well. It heats up quickly and is completely silent except for the odd click which I think is the thermostat. I have no idea how much electricity it uses but in a cold Yorkshire winter that is not my priority. As long as you are happy putting it somewhere to get rid of the initial smell it seems like a good product.
