Before I go into detail about this Hoover I just want to say how much I love it, it’s amazing!!

So compared to other stick machines I have used in the past this by far surpasses them all and I’m not just saying that as before I got this I was at the end of my tether with all that had gone before. The only one which matches but not as practical is Henry’s older brother which is the original Henry which I ironically bought just a few months before reviewing this which I call Henry Junior.

Firstly it comes in a box with many pieces which are easily assembled as per the instructions and you have a choice of several different attachments depending on the job at hand. The handle isn’t heavy as I assumed it might be when pushing the vacuum around the house and the controls are within easy reach to change with your other hand. On the control panel you have the power button with a general suction and then a press of the other button sends it into super suction. The battery sits below the main handle and is easy to remove witn a press of the button. My battery holds it’s charge around my large two bedroom house for quite a few uses before needing to be recharged and since October 2022 ( when I requested to review the item) I changed the first bag only in April of this year. So the bag has lasted 6 months before needing to be emptied. Talking of bags the vacuum came with two tubes of 10 pods in each plus 6 extra pods which were in the box. So far I have used one POD and just started my second, I can fully see these pods lasting me a couple of years at this rate as long as my living situation does not change. This doesn’t by any means suggest the suction is weak on this machine if anything for me it’s the best. I used the weaker on hard floors and a mic of both the weaker and strong suction on the carpet. There is also an additional ring which you can add to the end of the handle which offers a nice fragrance when hoovering so you do not get any unsightly scents. All attachments are easy to add or remove though the Hoover is a bit stiff but that will ease with time.

So it doesn’t have anti hair wrap which is it’s only downfall, however it’s quite simple to access the barrell to remove and then cut the hair off with scissors rather than balancing the whole unit upside down. You do also need two hands when hoovering cobwebs as we have an old house unless you have a lot of strength in one arm whereas I do not from previous injuries. So apart from that little niggle nothing else bad to report. It’s also very lightweight to move up and down stairs, around corners etc

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have had this vacuum for 6 weeks now. I have used it daily since and I am very very pleased with it. I have a 3 bedroom house with 1 master bedroom and 2 double bedrooms, one adult, two children and two pets.

I have a corded shark pet hair stick, which does a better job at deep cleaning the carpets than the henry, but the shark doesn’t pick up the dirt on hard floors whereas the henry picks up dirt on both carpet and hard floor well.
I use the henry daily for downstairs including bathroom and my artificial grass in the garden. I am really happy with it. I could never be bothered to get the bulky corded shark out so I barely hoovered as much as I should have. Just use the shark now for a deep clean.
I love that I don’t have to clean the filter out and the pods are brilliant but the stick is a little stiff when detaching to change filter.
    I would highly recommend this.

Extremely manoeuvrable and easy to use. Much more powerful than the Dyson it replaced.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this to replace a Shark (and a Dyson before that). We have a big Henry for really mucky, Diy jobs but needed a hoover for our bungalow.
The lack of a Power lead is great and this hoover picks up dust, feathers and bits Very effectively. The suction is good and on boost is almost too good!
Battery life is fine and it is easy, So easy to use.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersThis is by far the best stick vacuum that I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a few, including a vax and shark). The battery lasts for ages, as do the pods. I’ve hoovered all through my whole 3 bed house 3 times, and only just had to charge the battery. Plus the pod doesn’t need changing yet. As I have a dog and very fluffy cat, I just pop some Lenor scent beads in the pod and it smells amazing every time I hoover. I love the fact that there will be no mess when emptying it and no filter to change. I also love that it is made in the UK.

Battery lasts ages, easily multiple vacuums over several weeks. The pod design is great for keeping the vacuum powerful and clean.

Quick delivery, could do with a bit more battery life if doing your whole house in one go.
Would be easier if you could detach to cover corners that you cannot reach.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIt’s super manoeuvrable, it picks up everything from crumbs to pieces of hay, and the light really helps to see when hoovering in dark areas. I am really impressed by the Henry Quick and the fact I can grab it and quickly hoover an area as and when without having to plug it in and pull a heavy cylinder with it. I thoroughly recommend it for everyday use, and it does really well with sucking up pet fur off my rugs!

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersOnly been using it for a short time but so far it’s been great, excellent build quality. Standard suction setting is great for hard floors and a quick go over the carpet and the boost for a more thorough clean. Battery life is good using a combination of boost and standard, using boost only it will run down quickly about 15-20min but it’s so powerful at this setting I’m not sure why you’d need it set to this for too long but just certain areas around the house that need a bit extra (in my opinion) I’ve used a vax blade for a few years but given the constant problems I’ve had with the power head failing and having to be replaced I wanted to try something different and I’m really pleased.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersWe have two short haired dogs and mostly hard floors, previous bag less stick vacuums became impossible to clean in the inner/cyclone areas (3 from a famous brand in Wiltshire) and stank. We tried a bagged stick vacuum from another (unknown) maker and it was a big improvement and was OK in the power/suction department – but it packed in and there are no replacements “in warranty”
    We needed another
THIS is simply light years ahead – quality build and the “pods” are great. Unlike the Dysons you can turn the brush off which is essential for longer rugs etc
Power ? normal is great for wood/hard floors, but the boost ? wow, the two carpets we do have look like new !
ABSOLUTELY THORUGHLY RECCOMENT THIS PRODUCT if you want/need a bagged stick vaccuum

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGreat vacuum! Been after one for ages as soon as it went on sale I pulled the plug and brought one. Great suction power. Picks up fine dog hair with breeze from my small dog. The only issue is human hair does get wrapped around the brush bar but my old Dyson v10 used to do this too. Easy to take the brush bar off to get rid of the hair. I would recommend this Henry to anyone. The battery life is great certainly better then the Dyson anyway. Top notch and I’m glad I’ve brought one!

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersAmazing vacuum cleaner,I’ve tried Shark(rubbish),Gtec(rubbish),vax(ok for the price),Hoover (ok fir the price) and Dyson (very good but over priced) and this is the best.
Great battery life ar 60 mins, pods last ages even hoovering every day with 2 dogs in the house.
Suction is on a par with the Dyson cordless pet.
It’s sucks up everything and hasn’t once blocked.

If you want a cordless hover avoid Shark like the plague, once you buy their over priced junk they will abandon you, their customer service is none existent and the hoover even the pet one is rubbish.
    Just my thoughts.
The Henry quick however is as good as the corded Henry but lighter and more portable.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis stick version of the Henry vacuum cleaner is pretty good. It’s a tick on the basics: suction power, lightness, ease of use including disposal of the dust. Battery life is about thew advertised 60 minutes, and with a stick cleaner we tend to use it little and often giving it lots of recharge time anyway.

In fact it’s so very easy to just reach for it often and quickly use it without it being a big chore like bulkier cleaners.

Boost mode is good for more stubborn jobs, but we didn’t need it much.

There is also a wall bracket, handy for storage and when recharging, and is also somewhere to store the 2 small attachments. The optional detachable extending handle is easy to attach and we’ll probably leave it on since it gives the machine a little bit more reach.

Very lightweight with the small attachment for one handed unsupported use such as to cleaning the sofa.

The video shows the normal mode and with the brush rotating (not boost mode): sounds better in real life though. The only possible reservation is the need to keep buying the pods.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our Usershis is my first cordless vacuum but it has proved to be a game changer. My old upright was getting too heavy for me. I am disabled with very fragile bones. To be able to clean up without the risk of tripping over a cord is so much safer for me. The pod collects all the dust and feathers on my floor. I have four birds who are very messy at times. I would recommend this Henry Quick to anyone

Golden Review Award: 29 From Our UsersI really like my baby Henry. Much easier than dealing with the wire and hose for a quick run round daily. Daddy Henry still comes out for weekly deep clean when I move furniture to catch dust bunnies.
I like the pods, I’ve just changed my first pod after around a month and I have 2 kids and dogs so plenty of crumbs, bits of autumn leaves and dog fluff. The pods are really easy to change and there is zero mess to dig out of the chamber. That was one of the main reasons for changing from shark, I was cleaning that out more than I was vacuuming, if I didn’t clean it out everytime it didn’t work.
    The battery life is great.
The suction is good, also has a boost mode for tougher bits. You can turn the brush roller off so when doing rugs it doesn’t chew the edges up. Slight negative here that when the roller is off you can see a noticable difference in the pick up power, needing a few passes to get bits up.
He isn’t very lightweight and his ‘body’ is quite bulky so I find stairs are harder to do with this one and get big Henry out instead.
Marked down for weight and size, otherwise he’s great for what I need.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSo far I’m impressed! I had been thinking on going cordless for quite a while and having done quite a bit of research, was delighted to be offered to try this one. This vacuum is super awesome! I love the fact I can hang it on the wall and its not taking room up in a closet or just bulky sitting out somewhere. It has great suction and is exceptional with all my animals hair everywhere. Cleaning the filter is super easy and emptying the canister is a breeze! Lightweight and changing attachments is quick and easy!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersNever did I think there would be a day where Henry went cordless! It’s been a household staple for years at my moms and gone now are the days where you have to pull around the bulky tank and reel back up the long cable! This vacuum arrived professionally packaged and was simple enough to setup using the instructions provided. It’s a good size stick style vacuum with the original Henry vacuum end. It’s a slide battery which comes complete with a charging dock between use. Battery lasts just over what the description states and is quick to charge back up. Tank holds a lot of rubbish in its unique bag and is also easy to clean when required. Easy to clean all round, very good suction and overall highly impressed with the results. I would most definitely recommend and would buy again!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI saw a review stating “wait for all the Vine reviewers to say it’s great” but I will say, hand on heart, I am very impressed with this cordless vac and would say so if not!
We recently got a Vax cordless vac (over 100 rrp more than this one) and, while that’s really good, the suction power on this one feels much stronger.
The black and red, matt-chrome looking design is very visually appealing too.
It arrived very well packed in a smart box and putting it together was super easy (though I did have to refer to the instructions on how to fit the optional extension handle).
It came with one bar of charge on it. There is a supplied adaptor that plugs directly into the battery and it only takes around an hour for it to be fully charged up. The vac itself has 4 small white LEDs that go out as the battery discharges so you always know where you are with it.
There is a small slider on the head that, when closed, gives the most suction. This requires a bit more “push” to be applied, so you may want to open this slightly.
There is a normal mode and a boost. The brush bar spins so fast it almost looks still! The is a dedicated button to turn the brush bar on/off but you’ll likely want to keep it on for carpets.

It’s quite loud, as it any vacuum cleaner, and turns on/off very briskly which is good.

The Quick Pod design is interesting. The main idea seems to be to stop any spillage of dust when emptying. Personally, I feel this is a problem that didn’t really need fixing and would rather just let the cylinder collect everything and then empty that. The other thing is, once you’ve run out, you’ll need more pods at 20 for 10.

The good news is, these seem to last for ages in a regular house (we have 3 cats and a dog) so it’s not a huge overplay. Also, it comes with one in vac already, four in the box as well as two spare tubes each with another 10 so you should be good for a while!

You also get a crevice tool and another brush tool for awkward areas and a wall-mounted hanger which will also hold the battery. You will likely need this as the unit does NOT free stand as is very top heavy.

Personally, and not just because it’s in my favourite colour combination, I think this is an excellent device. Whether you want to pay the extra for a cordless one (when to be fair, a corded one will still have the upper hand in performance) is up to you. BUT, if it’s a cordless you are after, I would have no hesitation in recommending this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great suction and looks very cool

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersBoth the Mrs and I have used Henry vacuum cleaners over the years and they’ve always been excellent quality, hard wearing, and very effective so when we saw they made a cordless vacuum we were keen to gove it a try.

This vacuum is arrives in a large cardboard box, with lots of different nozzles, plenty of bags, a bracket for wall mounting /storing the vacuum, and a charger. The wall mount for storage is a great little extra and keeps the vacuum out the way, saving you from tripping over it.

This is a very easy to use vacuum and light to. Switch on and there’s a low power and high power mode, and also a choice to switch on the motorised roller to help lift hair and dirt. When the roller is on it works very very well. We have 2 dogs and it lifted the hair without any issues. When you are done the roller can be pulled out by pressing a button, sliding the cover and pulling it out. It’s a good idea to do it when done to remove all the hair round the roller to keep it working at it’s best.

The handle also has an adapter included so that the angle is softer and a bit easier on the wrist which is a good extra. Our mum tried it with the adapter and she said it was much more comfortable for her. Personally i preferred without.

These cleaners do use bags, there’s no avoiding it, but they include a huge number to make life easier, and because of this it also means there’s no mess. We’ve had similar designs that are bagless and we had to empty it outside beacuse dust and hair went everywhere, but not with this just open it up and seal the bag or “pod” as they call them and away it goes.

We managed to hoover half the house about 30 mins and it still had plenty of life in it so this could easily allow you to clean the entire house on a full charge. When ypu so need to charge, just pull the battery out and plug into the charger. It was fully charged within a couple hours.

Overall a very good quality vacuum, with lots of power and is very easy to use. For the qulity this is good value. Highly recommended.

Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersFirstly it’s from a well know brand and is a powerful and user friendly cordless vacuum cleaner. I used it on carpets and hard floors and it handled both well.
There is a way to turn the brush head off so you don’t damage flooring too

The power lasts almost an hour in normal mode and its of a comparable weight to other stick cleaners within this price range. so not too light but manageable

The one thing that I am not too sure about is the pod system of cleaning. Yes I know it can be dusty with other vacuums that you need to empty. But you’re going to need to keep buying the replacement pods once the supplied ones run out.

They aren’t too expensive (did a check for them on amazon), but it will be an. ongoing cost. So it depends on if you have dust allergies and don’t want to have some escape every time you empty the debris

    Great value
    Cleans well
    Dust-free emptying
    Long battery life

    Cons
    No onboard tool storage
    Edge performance could be better

    RRP: 299.99

    Performance

Standard power enough for most surfaces
Hard floor cleaning is best with brush turned off
    Long battery life
I measured the vacuum cleaner’s raw power at the nozzle in AirWatts. It’s low power setting came in at 23AW, which makes this cordless a little more powerful than the Dyson V12 Detect Slim in its Eco mode. There’s no mid-level mode here, with the boost mode jumping up to 192AW — which places this vacuum cleaner towards the top end of the performance table.

I used my real-world tests to judge how that raw performance translates into actual power. I started with my carpet test, sprinkling a teaspoon of flour onto the surface. A sweep through the centre of the mess on standard power saw the cleaner collect most of the dust, but there remained a small amount in the carpet fibres, particularly towards the outer edges of the floor head. Switching to boost mode was enough to clear everything.

Pet hair removal was spot-on, with all of my combed-in cat hair removed on a single pass through the mess

Battery life measured in at 1hr 9mins on standard power and 16 minutes on the boost setting. A mid-level mode between the two would have been useful — say, pushing battery life down to around the 30-minute mark. Such a power would have likely been sufficient to clear most types of mess without having to resort to boost mode. As it stands, I had to switch between regular and boost on a number of occasions. Overall, that probably means real-world battery life of around the 45-minute mark, which is still good.

    Should you buy it?

If you want a cordless cleaner that’s quick and easy to use, and offers mess-free emptying, this is a superb choice.

If you want a cleaner that’s a little more flexible with a bit more power on its standard setting, then look elsewhere.

It’s taken the Henry brand a while to deliver a true cordless vacuum cleaner, and in my opinion the Quick has been worth the wait. It’s fun to use, smells fresh and the pods mean it’s completely clean to empty. An extra power mode between the standard and boost options would have been useful — but without, it’s simply a matter of switching between the two or having to go over mess with a few extra sweeps. This vacuum cleaner is great value, too; but those who prefer a bagless cleaner should check out my guide to the best cordless vacuum cleaners.
