I have nine hoses going on grass areas I planted in June which averages 85+ and thru July and August which are 85-95. Three of these timers have worked for almost 3 months straight with no problems.

Love it that it has four zones, just what I needed. Good Quality, as I have already had two zones for the past two years.

I stepped up from a double to a triple. The double was a more recent model and did a lot more but was also a lot more confusing to set. This one is pretty basic and I love i

I have several single Orbit timers but this triple is great for multiple drip lines!

They are easy to use. After I bought one, I ordered two more now I don’t have to move hoses. And save money on my water bill.

We like to travel quite a bit, this way all of our hard work of planting a garden doesn’t not go dry. You can’t always rely on the neighbours to come over every day to water. We have our entire yard set up to water on a regular bases. We have 3 separate stations and can watch them through our cameras. This is especially useful if you are on watering restrictions because you are not always home the time you are allowed to water.

Works, have it set up to water approximately 50 vegetables in total. Has been running multiple times per day for over two months and have not needed to change out the batteries.

I just love how easy it is to set the timer. No issues. Water comes on as it should in 3 separate zones.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought my Orbit 3-outlet timer in 2019 and use it every year to water my garden. I’m using secondary water, so there’s a lot of silt, but it manages just fine. I’m purchasing a second one to give me more watering zones for the garden and I hope they haven’t changed anything about it. I recommend taking it in for the winter and taking out the batteries. If the display isn’t showing up properly, it’s time for new batteries.

3 connectors can be programmed individually to operate at different times, days, periods which wasn’t clearly explained in the manual.
Previous 2 connector model had a separate valve to connect a free flowing hose without the timer which was so handy. This one does not however can turn on manual but only for a timed period. Doesn’t leak under pressure like the cheaper ones. Excellent quality product.

Mounting connectors were missing from the box.

Reliable, simple to use, allows separate water channels to maintain pressure flow to sprinklers.

I had one of these with two ports and a separate independent port. But I also needed one for the back for the veggies and flower beds that could time three hoses. This is simple to understand and use and never failed to do its job. To do something outside the scheduled times was easy, just hook up the sprinkler and use it on manual. However, don’t forget like I did to put it back on the irrigation line when done.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt works well for the most part. It seems straight forward how to use it but it’s not. Setting the times, intervals, etc. is not necessarily as easy as it seems and needs a little time to learn how to do it.
I have the Orbit single hose outlet timer and those are so much easier to deal with.

love the system, just wish there was an extra outlet line you could use just for fill your watering can, washing your vegetables, hands etc.

Bought this to setup 2 lines of drip irrigation and 1 line for a soaker hose. Easy to setup the timer and it worked great while we were on vacation. Package came without the mounting bracket. Took several exchanges with the vendor but finally received the missing pieces.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI originally tried using 3-foot patch hoses to connect to my PVC pipe based sprinkler system that would develop kinks. The setup pictured uses a 3/4 inch PVC pipe system that supports higher and more reliable flow rate. The other benefit is this prevents back-flow, provides a more secure mount, and puts the user interface at an elevated level that is easier to access. Orbit should consider selling a kit to do this.

If you are new to working with hoses and PVC, be sure to select PVC hose fittings with the coarser hose thread (not the fine pipe thread found in the PVC pipe section of hardware stores). Below are the types of fittings you will need:
QTY 4: Orbit 53360 3/4-In. Slip x FHT Hose to Pipe PVC Fitting
QTY 1: Orbit 53361 PVC Hose To Pipe Fitting, 3/4″ MHT x 3/4″ Slip

To keep PVC interconnect easier to install, I used four 18″ flexible PVC pipe sections:
QTY 4: DURA 3/4 In. X 18 In. Flexible Pvc Coupling

I used two of these flexible segments in the section from the faucet to the Orbit timer, and one in each of the connections from the Orbit timer to the PVC pipe system that feeds each sprinkler zone.

Let me know if this works for you or see any areas that could be improved.

Works Great, Simple to configure, See PVC pipe adaptor setup

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usershe timer does a good job but there’s leakage around all four of the input/output connections. plumbers tape would possibly help the input connection but the others leak where the three outputs are connected to the timer itself. can’t tape those. i’m wasting gallons of water daily but overall it’s worth it because the functionality of the timer is spot on. if you are connecting this where you want the area to stay dry, such as a patio, the leakage could be troublesome.

I use orbit timers all the time. They all have the exact same flaw, which other brands do also. The flaw is the plastic threads, year after year of use, or one year of over tightening by accident can easily strip threads making that zone useless. So you can by brass adapters to put on and keep on so those threads don’t get damaged or put some lube one the threads so the hose goes on easily with hardly any friction.

This is easy to use and works, but it is loud and clanks as it changes from one port to another. It can be heard across the house. Additionally it includes a rod to be attached to your home for support. The other brand that I had previous to this one did not need to be attached with an additional piece and was much quieter.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWe have 3 of these timers, bought 2 in 2019 and 1 in 2020. We set them to come on starting in the early morning and run two 16′ beds-32″ wide or 3 10′ beds-32″ wide of vegetables on each zone. With the 9 zones (3/timer) and depending on the weather we run them from 15 minutes to an hour per day. If anything, we over watered last year, but that was our fault for not skipping a day or turning the waters down to fewer minutes per day. Our day jobs take us away from home and our plants never were wilted when we got home. We use soaker hoses on each row so the water goes into the ground and doesn’t touch the plants. The timers are easy to shut off on rain days, and if it started raining in the middle of the night, we turned the water off at the spigot on our house so we didn’t have to go out to the garden in the rain and turn all three timers off. We took the batteries out of the timers over winter and used new batteries the next year, even though the batteries still had life in them. When we had frost warnings, before we brought the timers inside, we’d wrap them in towel to keep the frost away. But by that time we were pretty close to finish harvesting in our Northern MN garden, with mostly the tomatoes still ripening and needing water.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve only had it for about a month. My backyard was neglected so I decided to start watering it but didn’t want to put much effort into it. So I bought one at first (left side of pic) to get full coverage in my backyard. It worked very well. It doesn’t run all 3 at the same time so it keeps consistent water pressure throughout. My front lawn was also neglected so I decided I needed another one (right side of pic). I bought the Orbit splitter thingy which gave 5 more ports so I can connect the timer. I needed less water pressure for the front versus the back so I attached another faucet to the splitter with a connector to control the pressure. I have the front one running at different times so it doesn’t interfere with the water pressure at the back.

The timer installation instructions mention a bracket/mount but it doesn’t include that, which isn’t much of an issue. The splitter came with a mount but I didn’t use it since it doesn’t fit my installation.

Overall, very highly recommend and very useful if you’re lazy and don’t want to water your grass all the time.

    Very usedful and convenient time

Golden Review Award: 22 From Our UsersI purchased this product at the beginning of summer to help water the lawn and I’ve been impressed so far but it does have a few downsides.
The device is pretty heavy and it does come with a metal rod that should be bolted to the side of the house to give it some extra support. Unfortunately the rod comes down at a roughly 45 degree angle and ends up being located by ny poured concrete walls, so it was basically impossible to bolt the stand to the side of the house. I ended up putting a small piece of wood up against the house and screwing the bolt into that. It works but is not as secure as the wood can move around as opposed to a bolt in the house.
So far the device itself hasn’t leaked but the hose connectors do – it’s really tough to get hoses to attach to anything without a little bit of water leaking. However the good news is that the shutoffs work well so they don’t leak 24/7

My biggest disappointment however is the manual override button. This works great for those impromptu waterings where you don’t have an available sprinkler, the area is too oddly shaped for a sprinkler or you just need to fill a bucket, wash the car, the dog etc. I use it to water the flowers at the front of the house that a sprinkler is not really going to get very well without wasting a lot of water.
However, the manual override can only be used on the 1st outlet. This means you can only use water from one of the 3 hoses in an impromptu session. Not great if you need to use water in several locations at irregular times. I fixed this by adding a 2 way splitter to the first outlet and running two hoses – one to a sprinkler that I use to water a certain area manually and the other is attached to a hose to allow me to water the flowers or wash the car when I feel like it. The splitter allows me to choose which area I want to water for 10 mins with one push of the button and 1 toggle of the splitter. As a result of this manual process, I excluded the time process from this outlet and only have the other 2 outlets set up for their programs.

The other major downside is that you can only use one outlet at a time so you need to carefully plan your watering. This may not be as big of a deal as you get more coverage when only one hose is in use, but it means you cant water the front and side lawn at the same time. You also cannot use the manual feature either and more importantly, if you are using the manual feature when a scheduled water is to take place, the schedule will not occur. This does complicate things if you have a small watering window and you need to water a large area. I like to water in the evening so the water isn’t immediately evaporated in the sun and using this device means watering two areas takes twice as long as iif I ran them both at once from separate taps which also means I can’t use the manual override for twice the period. During the summer I make sure I water the flowers manually before 7pm, have zone 2 run from 705 to 805 and then zone 3 run from 805-905pm

The rain delay feature is nice although it is a manual process. If rain is forecast, you push the button and it stops watering for 24, 47 or 72 hours which is really handy – however if you wish to cancel the rain delay you rotate the dial to off and then back on to reset the timer again.

Note the timer repeat is either hourly or daily and the days are every 2, 3,4 etc. There is no ability to only water on Mon, Wed, Friday. Depending on your HOA this could be a problem if they want even numbered houses to water on certain days of the week. Also if you were watering every 2 days to comply with an even numbered day water restriction and use the rain delay for 24 hours, you could also end up being watering on the wrong day.

The good news is that so far it works well, there have been no leaks and my grass and flowers look nice and I don’t have to keep running outside to turn the tap on and off or move hoses around the yard. I can just put out multiple hoses and let this take care of the watering.

The manual override only being usable on one hose is probably my biggest drawback to this device and it’s quite a big drawback. I would probably really give this a 3.5 star but not on Amazon.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersFor an easy to operate battery operated tap timer, this is clearly a smart performer whilst always remaining easy to program and adjust programming settings. All three outlets can be individually programmed. The instructions only tell you about 80% of what this timer is capable of so every now and then you stumble across another great feature they stupidly failed to tell you about eg. if you press the manual option and arrow ‘past’ the third station, you get all 3 stations to run manually one after the other at the time length you have for the programmed settings. Also the time length each setting can water is 360 minutes even though the instructions say 240 minutes (but that was the previous 2 outlet model).
A stupid software programming specification was that someone decided to default a simple ‘manual’ once off setting for each station at 10 minutes and yet they had the foresight to run the ‘group’ manual setting at the user programmed time length assigned to each station. Message to maker “The ‘manual’ setting should default to the setting that the user set for the programmed setting”.
This timer does most things you would want for the upcoming weeks but based on weather patterns, you should revisit the weather forecast and adjust the settings each week. You can set the watering patterns for each day or up to each 7 days. When you combine that with a 24, 48 or 72hr initial delay, you can cover most weather patterns. The only pattern it won’t cover is if you want it to water each day for the first few days and then not water for the remainder of the week. But if you are home each night, it is a simple matter of turning the dial to ‘off’ where it ignores all settings until you turn it back to ‘auto’ where it continues your program. Not possible if you are away for the week. All other scenarios are covered.
All the settings are easy to read and easy to adjust. I have had other more sophisticated timers but when you have to bend down to tap level and adjust ‘advanced’ type timers, it’s just too fiddly. This one ticks almost all the boxes. If the ‘manual’ defaults were more user friendly and the instructions took the time to tell you everything it was capable of doing, I would have given it 5 stars.
